Butter cake - the best part of the meal!
Meredith T.

Went here for a weekend getaway and made reservations for dinner. We were sat promptly on the patio with a nice view of the beach . The appetizers were good- although the crispy Asian ribs were not exactly as I expected. The clam chowder and prime rib dip sandwich was delish. Our waiter recommended the butter cake for dessert and it did not disappoint & he was sweet to brew me a fresh pot of decaf coffee to go with it. Overall, the experience was very nice.

The reason this still gets a 4 star is because the food was actually really good, our server, Alex, saved the day, and the view is just unbeatable! I got the chilaquiles and they were fantastic, our table got a white chocolate pancake and it was so fluffy and good. All my friends enjoyed their food (chicken and biscuits, monster burrito, chicken club sandwich etc.) Couple of hiccups; had a reservation at 11:15 and didn't get sat until 11:30, no table touching for another 10 minutes. No "be right with you", or support staff getting us started, nothing. I went ahead to the two hosts that were just standing at the iPad and asked for some waters and a server. A new server, Alex, took over our table after his break. He was the best! He got us anything we needed when the food came out, and then noticed 3 of us were drinking Diet Coke and brought out a pitcher of it for us. Unreal! At the end we also kind of made a mess on accident dropping something and he brought us warm towels to fix the issue. Truly would go back if Alex was our server!

LOVE the location of reunion! it's right off of the sand and there's a sweet little play structure and swings for kids on the sand (perfect for your kids while you're waiting for your food to come out). the restaurant has a great patio to enjoy the views of the water and there's ample seating inside at the bar and tables the menu has a variety of different items ranging from tacos to southern comfort food so a little bit of something for everyone. the food was overall good, but we did find that the food needed a little bit of salt (and we usually eat things with barely any salt).

Nashville hot chicken. WOW! 5 stars. Would order again and again. Mac n cheese is alright, comes as a side. Their side of warm potato salad is incredible! Poke bowls looked amazing, didn't get to eat but our friends love them here! Mojito non-alcoholic was so delicious. Fried chicken sandwich with avocado was great! Amazing setting in front of the beach. Packed house, lovely sunset to enjoy afterwards. It can't get any better! Service was helpful with menu and patient throughout, they don't rush you. Parking is $7.

We went there for lunch on a Friday. They were busy , but we were still able to get a table inside. The outside patio was packed, but there were plenty of seats inside. They had both booths and tables. Service was a bit slow, but the server was professional and friendly. We ordered the BBQ chicken Cobb salad and the short rib sliders. The salad was a good portion with a decent amount of chicken. The sliders were excellent and very tasty. Overall, a very nice meal.

Stop looking for another restaurant and just go here!!! Yelp rating should be much higher. This is elevated comfort food at it's BEST! Location is 5 star and the food was off the charts! We had the short rib beef stroganoff, the chicken with brie and honey sandwich, and the butter cake. Service was extremely friendly and quick. The interior is very well appointed. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and will be back for sure.

Very nice restaurant view especially when you are dining at the patio. The staff are very friendly and polite. The dishes are limited to American cuisine mainly. Food quality is really good and tasty .

Today was our first time here. We came around 10:30 and there was a 30 min wait for outside. No problem! We went and sat at the cute bar inside. Billy took great care of us! Fabulous personality and he was working hard! I had the ahi bowl. I really enjoyed the flavors. I made my husband order the chicken and biscuits so I could try it. He didn't even want to share because he loved it so much! Bottomless mimosas are a plus. My husband's was never empty. We will definitely be back after our next hiking adventure in SB. One more shout out to the whole staff. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Great place for a Sunday brunch!

Wow! The food was amazing and phone did not eat first on our appetizer and entrees! We had the best reunion at Reunion Kitchen with our sweet friends. The vibes were absolutely immaculate and the service was top tier. Justice really delivered by recommending food, drinks, and desserts. He was also extremely attentive and friendly. According to Pedro, "Justice was electric!!" We ended the night with the best desserts which was the perfect end to our evening. I hope Reunion is ready for us because we will definitely be back!!!

Great ocean side view with good food and drink. What more could you ask for. Had the avocado wontons, slow braised ribs and French onion soup. All very good. The wontons are not finger food. Need to be eaten with a fork but enjoyed them very much. Needed a little salt but prefer putting it on to my taste rather than them over salting. The ribs and soup were fantastic. Service was friendly and prompt. My only slight negative was how loud this place was. We sat outside and it was surprisingly loud with everyone talking and having a good time. Nothing that would keep me from coming again. Had to walk back about an hour after we finished when I forgot my little Jesus (Diosito). The wait staff found him and held onto him for me. A dear friend of mine gave him to me so would have been upset if I had lost him.

Wow. When you go to a place with prime real estate like this, you expect the service and the food to be subpar. But boy were we proved wrong! After the awkwardly silent and inattentive hostess, we were incredibly pleased by our waitress and food quality! Our waitress was personable and friendly and the food was delightfully flavorful. That, and our waitress let us move tables and sit by the water, which just made the whole experience perfect!

Tasty, crispy Asian ribs with a Thai peanut slaw.
Randy O.

Wasn't feeling amazingly hungry, so I got the deviled eggs and the Asian crispy ribs. The deviled eggs are next-level, art-on-a-plate, piled high with creamy egg yolk and drizzled with sweet and sour sauce and bacon bits. They were a great counter point to the ribs, which were meaty and flavorful, but I could have used slightly less breading. The slaw provided a nice balance. My wife got the blackened fish sandwich with fries. One of the best fish sandwiches ever. The only knock, for a beer fan, is a rather limited beer list, but I guess you can't have everything.

Blackened Halibut Sandwich Dinner

I keep trying this place because it does have some positives. But every time I have tried it with one or more people there is always some disappointment. So I cannot give this restaurant more than a three stars. First, it is a nice place to go if you want to sit by the beach. Of course, the best view is outside on the patio. Unfortunately today the only tables left were in the bright sun and their umbrellas just don't do the job. We had reservations as there were six of us. So we ended up sitting inside, the atmosphere is nice, but it is extremely noisy and loud inside when the place is busy. We actually were not able to hear each others conversation without shouting. As we were there, some tables did leave, and then it was a little more tolerable. In fact, the waitress could not even hear us when we were trying to order, she had to keep having us repeat ourselves Now for the food that we experienced. I do recommend the calamari and the jalapeño poppers. As appetizers they were quite delicious. Some of us at the table did order drinks, and the wait was quite long( she did then tell us that the bar was backed up. In fact, some of our food had come before the drinks. This has been an ongoing problem here when I have stopped at this restaurant. Unfortunately, once again, I picked a wrong item on their menu. I decided to order the seared Ahi tuna salad, as I really do like Ahi salad. The salad arrived, and it was very blasé. Nothing exciting about it. You couldn't find the roasted red peppers without really digging, and I believe I found one. It was mainly spring lettuce (not even that fresh), cucumbers, a little grated carrot, and a couple cubes of tomato. Now the Ahi tuna was really nice and a good taste to it, but I like mine with a little pizzazz. As I had asked for the sauces on the side, which did not arrive, I re-asked for the wasabi aïoli. It was brought, and it actually tasted like nothing but pure mayonnaise. So I asked for it again thinking I had gotten the wrong thing. But the next little container was nothing but mayonnaise with a hint of mint green color. I ended up essentially taking most of my salad home so that I can spice it up and make it more desirable. Most of the other people at our table, felt that their food was pretty delicious, but nothing extraordinary. I guess I will come again as it is a nice outing by the beach; a nice place meet up with someone but I think I'll stick with appetizers.

Are breakfast food items served on Sunday's?

Why not called him to get a accurate answer I was there during the week

We plan on eating lunch here after we elope, is a reservation necessary for a party of 3? Thank you in advance :)

If you're planning a weekend lunch, especially if you want a seaside table, it's highly advisable.

Any private rooms for group of 30?

No private rooms, that I'm aware of. The restaurant is divided into indoor seating and outdoor door seating, with a party of thirty maybe you could reserve most the indoor seating perhaps?

Any breakfast options on weekend mornings or is it the same menu?

Hi Jennifer, we offer a brunch menu on weekends from 10am to 2pm. View our brunch menu here: https://www.reunionkitchen.net/corona

Is there a happy hour?

Hi Steve, we do have a Happy Hour. Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 6pm. Please visit our site reunionkitchen.net to view our Happy Hour Menu.

Do you allow dogs?

Yes. I saw people with dogs in the outdoor dining area.

Is there a corkage fee?

Hi Brian, our corkage fee is $15.

Are there gluten free options?

Hi Kristine, we are unable to guarantee any items to be 100% gluten free, however we do offer a Gluten Sensitive Menu available for those with sensitivities rather than serious allergies. Please request a Gluten Sensitive Menu with our host team… Read more

We are so grateful to have found this delightful restaurant! It was so fantastic, we dined here two days in a row! Everything we tried was fabulous! I thought I had photos of our friend's other dishes but they were winners too: macadamia crusted halibut and the grilled sea bass entree. The ambiance and location are right out of a movie. It's located right on the beach in a quiet, off the beaten path road that ends at the restaurant. You can spend the entire day there enjoying the beach and having lovely meals! We chose to eat on their outdoor patio under umbrellas. They also offer indoor seating as well as some small tables on the beach sidewalk. The main parking lot is small and scoring a spot can be trying. They do have a spill-over lot near the entrance. Like George Costanza on Seinfeld does, start close and do concentric circles -lol! We were blessed by the Parking Gods both days we dined there! After enjoying your delicious meal, take a walk on the beach. There is a little water station near the restaurant (on the sidewalk) where you can wash the sand off of your feet. We cannot wait to be back! V & K

First, Finch & Fork is essentially just the restaurant inside the Kimpton Canary Hotel. What I mean is that it's not a restaurant that happens to be inside of hotel property (think Caruso's). It's just where you eat as a hotel guest that is hungry for brunch. We had an 11:00 AM reservation, which I believe was the earliest brunch seating. The hotel lobby was packed and chaotic when we arrived. We checked in and sat down to wait, but while we were waiting, multiple other parties of two who checked in after us were seated first. Not a huge issue on its own, but not a great start. The Mother's Day brunch itself consisted of a buffet plus an entrée selection. The buffet had three main sections: seafood (oysters, shrimp, tuna poke), salads, and miscellaneous bites and desserts like deviled eggs, Italian wedding soup, and macarons. Honestly, the buffet felt more like cocktail hour appetizers at a wedding than a true luxury brunch spread. The entrées were fine. The service was fine. Nothing was bad, but nothing felt memorable or special either. The atmosphere was also extremely loud...noticeably so. What really dropped the rating for me was the value. For two people with no alcohol (just iced tea), the total came out to $264.60. That price was honestly shocking for what was offered. Nothing about the food, service, or atmosphere justified that kind of cost. As we were leaving, we noticed a Photo Booth setup and a bouquet-making station across the lobby. No one had mentioned either of these to us, and the bouquet station appeared unattended, so we weren't even sure whether it was included or an extra charge. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially because this was meant to be a special Mother's Day outing for my mom. If you're just looking for a casual hotel brunch/lunch/dinner, it's perfectly fine. But for a holiday brunch at this price point, I expected something much more polished, elevated, and memorable.
