The octopus has small portion considered the price $24 I like the salmon piccata, it's has great flavor and the potatoes are delicious. The mushroom risotto is also good!

I ordered takeout from Mizza before heading to the airport. The decor inside and out was nice, staff was friendly and food came out within a reasonable time despite it being pretty busy. I was shocked at the size of my risotto and the huge portion of meaty lobster it came with! So good. And also shocked at how big my pizza was. So many options to choose from but I was glad I tried the peach one because it was on the lighter side. I definitely overordered as I didnt anticipate so much food but happy to have leftovers for 2 more days :). Would definitely love to sit and eat outside next time and try more things!

Pancetta smoked chicken pizza and tricolore salad

My husband and I stopped in to Santa Barbara for a day trip. We had a lot of options to choose from for dinner tonight and we wanted some Italian and off a whim, chose Mizza. The service was top-notch, shout out Kayla! Kind friendly and was very timely. We ordered the pancetta and smoked chicken pizza and a salad to go with it. When I say that this pizza with one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life, I am not lying to you. To round it off, we also had some pretty fantastic drinks as well, and everything was reasonably priced. Overall, would absolutely recommend this wonderful place and when we are back in Santa Barbara, we are coming back!!

Comfy outdoor dining experience, good service. The short ribs is must try. Lobster risotto is also pretty good. The price tags might seem a bit high but the portion is decent. We got these two only and it was enough for two adults and two toddlers, with the complementary bread (which is super good by the way! Crispy and flavorful) Note: theres a 3.5% credit card fee.

Wonderful dining experience.... casual but top shelf menu items (I had their Tuscan Shrimp Fettucinni) including some killer desserts

What a delightful restaurant, our waiter David was friendly, efficient and so knowledgeable making our experience so memorable, thank you David! A beautiful sunny day in Santa Barbara, Mizza had a perfect outdoor seating area. Plenty of space for our party of 6 and lots of indoor seating as well. We started with Tuscan Dip that was a perfect bit that came with ciabatta bread but be sure to order more ciabatta bread as it was so yummy, we ordered the Creamery pesto with smoked chicken that was creamy and delicious, the Fettuccine Bolognese with fresh pasta that was scrumptious be sure to add some chili flakes will take it to another level!! We also ordered the Spicy shrimp with vodka sauce that was really tasty. My youngest ordered a Side Caesar salad and a Kids butter and cheese pasta salad that was phenomenal!! What an fantastic meal and the service was exceptional!

The finest cuisine, incredible ambiance and the most attentive staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant and it happens with each visit to Mizza. Today it was our joy to see Issac who came over to say hello to us and ask how we were and what has been going on since last we saw him. We briefly chatted about everything we could before he had to attend to his tables. We inquired about T and Xavier and sent our best regards. Then we met Raphaela who was new to us but not new to Mizza as she has been there for five years. She is as proficient as she is kind hearted and treated us like we've known each other forever. This is what makes Mizza so special and why we travel almost two hours to eat, imbibe and enjoy our meals there. Before we order our main course, it's time for my Black Manhattan which is perfection in a glass. We followed this with their delicious Caesar Salad. The exacting combination of flavors blended to make an excellent beginning to a fine entree to follow. We were in heaven with our Salmon Piccata and Spicy Shrimp. The flavorful spices and ingredients in these dishes makes us wish we lived closer so we can dine on these exemplary delights more often but it only serves to make us look forward even more each time we make the trip there. As it was my birthday, I told Issac if he comes out with a slice of cake, I'm going to sing with him and the staff. I've included the video here. Gluten Free is no problem for Mizza as they accommodate from the first course to the dessert. They also have Gluten Free bread. Such care for their customers. Make no mistake, if you are in Santa Barbara and are looking for the best that this delightful town has to offer you in the world of fine food, this is your number one stop. Don't hesitate, Mizza is it!

My sister wanted pizza so we stumbled upon Mizza and tried it out Checked in with the hostess at the podium and our party of 5 was seated right away for lunch time. Indoor and outdoor seating available here. We sat outside and the tables felt a bit unclean and sticky. I shared the Mushroom Truffle Pizza and was definitely sharable size. Loved the mushroom flavor, pizza could of used more truffle oil or flavor on it. Crust wasn't too thick and overall pizza wasn't too greasy -which was good. Service was overall friendly, attentive. Although we had to ask twice for chili oil. Overall, if in the area, I'd give this place another try. Live street music playing just a few feet away from our table added to the whole ambiance of the place, made for a nice afternoon in SB.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant and I hope the owner addresses it. Service: The worst service I've ever experienced from the two hostess working on December 6th (7pm -9pm) which completely RUINED our night. We were told by the two female hostess (one brunette and one blonde) that there would be a 25 minute wait time which we completely understood. We entered the wait list at 7:16pm but we were seated at 8:13pm. We were informed that it may take a bit longer because we wanted to sit inside which we understood. However, when we were informed by Yelp that were first in line, we continued to wait another 20+ minutes. What made it worse was the fact that the hostess led two parties INSIDE whom had just arrived. This makes no sense as we were first on the waitlist. The two hostess, especially the blonde one from the beginning of the night did not have a good tone or attitude towards my party. After waiting for over an hour, the brunette hostess led us inside to a dirty table that was meant for a party of 6. This made me question the restaurants staff training, why would they have not checked if the table was cleared and cleaned before bringing us there? Furthermore, we were a party of 2, being seated at a table of 6 would not make sense. The hostess said that she could seat us OUTSIDE after we had already waited another hour. If we were going to be seated outside at the end of the night, what was the point of waiting more? The table was extremely rocky and on a slope. I am BEYOND disappointed and will not be returning. Our server (another blonde girl) was amazing but the hostesses ruined our night. It seems like many customers have had terrible experiences with their hostesses based on the reviews. I hope the management addresses this because no one deserved the treatment that we received. Food: The food was not bad but the crust/dough was very rough.

I recommend you order pasta at this lovely Italian spot. It's cooked perfectly al dente and they have an array of sauces. The service was fine, the decor is simple and a little rustic, they have inside & plenty of outside seating. The pasta was cooked perfectly & the pizza dough was good too. I will say that I wish they sliced their mushrooms instead of quartering them because I felt like my bites had too much mushroom to chew through on the pizza. To be fair I ordered the mushroom truffle pizza (which barely had a truffle taste..disappointing) & spicy shrimp pasta (which I didn't realized had a lot of mushrooms too). I still loved my pasta and just ate around the shrooms. Overall, everyone in my party was happy with the meal. I would consider coming back here while visiting SB and definitely recommend it if someone was looking for good pasta on State St.

My friends and I stumbled upon Mizza for a late lunch, and boy were we lucky to. Mizza's stellar food left a most noteworthy memory. Food: 5/5 I had the spicy shrimp vodka sauce pasta and it was absolutely divine. The food came out hot, which is important for a pasta dish! I loved this recipe, which boasted a complimentary combination of ingredients -- mushroom, prosciutto, shrimp -- coated generously in the pink vodka sauce. When I tell you the food was *perfectly* seasoned? You really can't get that at every restaurant! Service: 4/5 The servers were great and seated us quickly. No refills on the drinks whilst dining left a bit to be desired, but this definitely didn't take away from the positive experience. Ambiance: 4/5 We sat outside in the patio area in front of the restaurant. It was rather windy and chilly; if there's a way that heating lamps or something could be added, I think that'd definitely enhance the dining experience. MIZZA IS A MUST WHILST IN SANTA BARBARA!

You order at the counter and the food is brought over to your table. The service was friendly, though it could have been better--we had to get our own water, cutlery, and napkins and nobody came to check on us throughout the meal. Maybe that was because we came right at opening on the weekend. Food-wise, some dishes were better than others. The smoked brisket banh mi was disappointing, mainly because the brisket was chewy. The burrata-tomato salad with added chicken breast was good and felt fresh and satisfying. The chicken salad sandwich was okay, but the bread was too hard, which made it less enjoyable. On the positive side, my son really enjoyed the kids' grilled cheese sandwich with fries. Overall, The Daisy has a lovely atmosphere, and a great dog-friendly patio, but the food was a bit hit-or-miss during our visit.

Soup of the Day was French Onion, which is on the sweeter side, and comes with cheese and a crostini soaking up the broth. Onions are very nicely caramelized. It was tasty but the portion of this soup was a bit large for the intensity of the soup sweetness, almost like syrup after eating it enough. Any other soup - I'd be fine with the portion size. Partner's review of the BLT: "Plenty of bacon and toasted very nice on sourdough, the sourdough with the soup was balanced. I walked in and spoke with the guy working the bar area. I wasn't sure if I had to order my drink there or if there was table service. He said he could take my order and then I could go find a table to sit at. I placed my order for a Spritz and found a table outside. It seemed like 15 minutes had passed by and still no drink. He tended to another table in front of me with a group of women he knew. I thought he would stop by my table after, but he didn't even acknowledge me. Finally, another staff member tended to me and I told her I had placed my order at the bar and was still waiting for it. She was very kind and quickly got it for me. My observation of this guy, was that he acknowledged everyone around me but for some reason never acknowledged me until my bill was ready. Such a bizarre experience! We even learned about a natural wine event happening next month that we might come back for. The host also recommended wineries in the area based on our preferences -- such a thoughtful touch. Note that this is a review specifically for a private event (wedding lunch reception)…read more My wife and I recently got married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and were looking for a restaurant to host a lunch reception and State & Fig absolutely delivered. A 5/5 experience and we would certainly work with them again. We were in contact with Serina for about a year before the wedding and she was very accommodating, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. We initially met with her to discuss our vision, had a food and cake tasting, and also a final walk through with our coordinator to ensure everything was smooth. In terms of food, atmosphere, and service, I would want to go through all three in detail: 1) Food: We had a lunch style buffet and the food options were fresh and many of our guests gave very positive feedback and took shameless second trips. Serina and the owner (Patrick) were able to source many of the ingredients seasonally and cater to our guests' palate (Asian-inspired, etc.). We had a tasting and they took our feedback into consideration in earnest. Moreover, our strawberry cake was AMAZING. 2) Atmosphere: The restaurant had a great layout for our party size (~90 or so) with seating inside, outside, and upstairs. This arrangement allowed us to have an intimate reception despite having a lot of guests. The decor in the restaurant is minimal, which allows customization to make the space truly our own. State & Fig allowed us to borrow a few decorations, which was generous. 3) Service: The two points before were already excellent, but State & Fig's outstanding service took the lunch reception to another level. Serina was a joy to work with in terms of bringing our vision to life and was always there to make things easy for us. Patrick ensured that this was a special day for us, and encouraged us to soak it in and enjoy it as much as we can. And the wait staff and servers on the day of were professional and attentive. For that, we are immensely grateful. There were other restaurants that we toured before selecting S&F, and it was clear that hosting the reception would simply be a transactional business affair. This felt like a genuine desire to make our special day a memorable experience. Overall, a 5/5 experience and we hope that others will be able to have State & Fig host their special day. P.S. A funny aside: we met a couple sitting next to us during our tasting, who were returning to celebrate their anniversary after getting married at S&F. They told us we were in good hands and not to worry, and we AGREE.

First, Finch & Fork is essentially just the restaurant inside the Kimpton Canary Hotel. What I mean is that it's not a restaurant that happens to be inside of hotel property (think Caruso's). It's just where you eat as a hotel guest that is hungry for brunch. We had an 11:00 AM reservation, which I believe was the earliest brunch seating. The hotel lobby was packed and chaotic when we arrived. We checked in and sat down to wait, but while we were waiting, multiple other parties of two who checked in after us were seated first. Not a huge issue on its own, but not a great start. The Mother's Day brunch itself consisted of a buffet plus an entrée selection. The buffet had three main sections: seafood (oysters, shrimp, tuna poke), salads, and miscellaneous bites and desserts like deviled eggs, Italian wedding soup, and macarons. Honestly, the buffet felt more like cocktail hour appetizers at a wedding than a true luxury brunch spread. The entrées were fine. The service was fine. Nothing was bad, but nothing felt memorable or special either. The atmosphere was also extremely loud...noticeably so. What really dropped the rating for me was the value. For two people with no alcohol (just iced tea), the total came out to $264.60. That price was honestly shocking for what was offered. Nothing about the food, service, or atmosphere justified that kind of cost. As we were leaving, we noticed a Photo Booth setup and a bouquet-making station across the lobby. No one had mentioned either of these to us, and the bouquet station appeared unattended, so we weren't even sure whether it was included or an extra charge. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially because this was meant to be a special Mother's Day outing for my mom. If you're just looking for a casual hotel brunch/lunch/dinner, it's perfectly fine. But for a holiday brunch at this price point, I expected something much more polished, elevated, and memorable.
