19. Alla Salsiccia-Fresh Italian Sausage, Red Onions, EVO, Garlic, Basil, and added Olives and Capers, but forgot the Peperoni asked for.

It pains me to give a 2 star review but Service is an integral part of the experience. Kinda' dirty, dark and dingy interior.Another terrible experience starting with an unfriendly call ordering only to be met with someone who seemed as if she wished was anywhere but there Zero eye contact, no greeting, slammed the Apple Pay thingy when I asked about Apple Pay. She did ask if I wanted any cheese or peppers, and again slammed the parm on top of the box, although she did give me more than a couple. I still left her a cash tip in a jar, slowly putting it in so she would notice, hoping it would make her happy, but no thank you, nada. The Pizza is SUPERB , even though she forgot to add the pepperoni I requested. The guy that has helped me before was no different. Does Gino still own this place? Or is he enjoying a well deserved life still in Sicily with Connie. Begrudglinly, I will probably return because the pizza is this good.

Service/delivery was very fast. We ordered a small, pepperoni, sausage, and cheese pizza with a Milanese salad. The pizza was cooked well but the sausage was cut too thick for my taste. The favor was okay and the crust was tender but I prefer thin crust. The salad was fresh but was only lettuce and tomatoes. However, the tomatoes were perfectly ripe and I usually have to throw tomatoes out. These were worth eating! The lettuce was fresh and crisp. The presentation could have been better as you'll see from my picture. The generous portion was large enough for 3-4 people. I typically give new restaurants more than one chance to peak my interest and impress me in order to become a repeat customer. The jury is still out on this one. I will try another item before deciding and will update you when I do.

Gem of a straightforward, right-on, classic pizza place. Excellent pizza and charming in that real deal way.

Gino's may be the best pizza in Santa Barbara! The crust and sauce were so flavorful, the pizza was perfectly cooked. The Caesar salad was big enough to share and a great value. Even though we ordered right before closing, the service was friendly and fast. If you're in town, give it a try, we are glad we did and we will be back to try a calzone next.

I ordered the bbq chicken pizza it's good but not 5 star good I'll definitely try some of the other pizzas soon

Craving an Italian sandwich and this was a block from the courthouse- USA's most beautiful courthouse. I ordered a meatball sandwich and wife the ham with salad. Oh and a Stella! The salad was big enough to share and nothing fancy- tomato and lettuce. Sandwiches could be shared but I guess they were that good that we finished both. They call them paninas but they use what looks to be pizza dough same as calzones. Both our sandwiches were filled with quite a lot of ham and meatballs. Very small inside with about 4 tables and one outside. They also have a counter with chairs. Quick service, tasty food and nothing fancy. I'll be back!

I loved the pizza here! We came here for the first time on 2-29-24 and boy was I glad I did. I love that you can order any pizza by the slice, perfect for lunch. Super reasonably priced I got a pizza, salad and soda for $8.99! The ranch dressing was so good and my Italian soda ARANCIATA ROSSA was the best! I can't wait to come back and try other dishes. Super cute decor too.

The pizza was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed the crust, the sauce, and the quality of the toppings. Much more than meets the eye, they really make great food here! They are super hard-working and really care about their business. Always feels good to support local businesses, highly recommended for a casual meal in Santa Barbara! They have indoor seating as well as metered parking out front.

Pineapple and ham

Ordered a pineapple and ham pizza ! Literally just slapped the toppings right on there! It was really soggy and everything slid off BUT the crust was nice and crunchy and the taste is good just appearance wise and the first couples bites threw me off.

Undercarriage is charred.

Delicious pizza and friendly service. Thin and crispy crust - my absolute favorite. Will revisit when I'm back to Santa Barbara again.

What time do you stop taking phone orders for Carryout ? I called at 8:25pm Monday and was told they stopped making pizzas already. Hours say you close at 9pm, so just curious what time we can/need to call in by?

Sorry to hear that. Usually it’s 8:45 not sure why they didn’t take your order unless they were slammed but still should take the order. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Do you have lasagna?

Live in SF now and nothing can compare, not even in North Beach. Spent my birthday weekend in SB and had to stop here. Got my favorite dish, the farfalle allegria, which was amazing and just how I remembered it. Service is always so wonderful. Our server, Tasha, was so kind and sweet. On this fine March evening, we opted to sit outdoors. I was concerned with how much lighting there would be once the sun set but they didn't really have any four tops available inside for us. (In the end, the interior lights from the neighboring business helped illuminate our table that was directly in front of the restaurant, and not necessarily under the outside covered area.) After we put in our order and received the complimentary bread (with the provided olive oil), we were questioning whether we had ordered too much food. We attempted to ask the waiter if it was too much and he didn't really answer our question. And since there was only one table next to us and he was dining solo, it was hard to gauge the portion sizes. We ordered: * Antipasto Sampler Platter $19.95 - A generous selection from their deli case, perfect for sharing. The butter bean with tuna salad was a first for me and has me thinking of how to incorporate more butter beans in my diet. Other items included grilled zucchini, grilled eggplant, mixed olives, farro salad, green beans, salami, tomato and mozzarella. * Bucatini all'Amatriciana $22.95 - We opted for this as it was a described as a traditional dish from he Lazio region. It was enjoyed by all. * Linguine con Vongole $26.95 - Next to arrive was the linguine, which was the absolute favorite for us all. It was light, filled with clams, and just had a great taste overall. * Farfalle al Pesto $19.95 - The Little Gal wanted pesto, but this version was so heavy. It was exhausting to eat and probably our least favorite. * Polenta Del Montanaro $21.95 - The mushrooms and polenta sounded amazing, but again this was very heavy for us. There were also a few hard bits of polenta mixed in. It was just overwhelming in not the best way. Overall, the portions are HUGE and just perfect for sharing. We would have dreaded being stuck with one dish on our own as it's just too much. We were also concerned about the $3.95 split charge fee that may apply, hence why we went with four entrees. You can easily get your fill with a few items here without breaking the bank. I can definitely see why they have such great ratings. The restroom is located in the back, so you do need to walk outside to access the restroom. I guess this avoids having you walk through the kitchen to get there. Service was fine. We did have one primary waiter but the other staff stepped in when necessary. It was pretty busy for a weekday evening, at least for all the outside tables. Since it's a bit away from the touristy area, you do get a sense there are more locals enjoying this spot.

It is a small space so we were seated very close to two other tables (the kind of close where it's hard to focus on your own convo). We ordered the Caesar Salad to start. I feel like I've had this exact salad (as in gem lettuce, breadcrumbs, lemony dressing) other places executed a little better. The breadcrumbs were almost too hard creating a grainy/sandy texture rather than a nice crunch. Good flavor though. We also got the Meatballs "Alla Vodka." This was the highlight of the meal for me. My husband thought they could've used more of a binder but personally I liked that they felt more meaty than bready. I recommend using the spoon to eat the meatballs so you get enough sauce with each bite. Don't want any of that delicious sauce to go to waste! We got the pepperoni pizza for our entree. This pizza was just okay to me based on my personal preferences so take this with a grain of salt! I'm not the biggest sourdough person and since the pizza is fermented it has a similar flavor. I also wish that the pizza was a little less charred. I think it was more burnt on top than charred but maybe that's what they're going for and I'm just not the audience. We enjoyed the pepperoni pizza with the house ranch. I really enjoyed this bc I prefer a dill-heavy ranch and this definitely delivered that! Overall, solid meal and would come back. Our server was a little awkward but didn't really affect our experience all that much.
