I'm going to start off letting you know I'm from Chicago and also lived in NYC. So my pizza expectations are hard to meet in SB. The white chicken pizza was ok, it had way too much raw garlic in every bite. A little fresh pesto instead of the garlic on top after it's cooked would be a huge improvement. The other sausage pepper onion pizza really bad! They use the cheapest pre cooked frozen sausage crumbles. It tasted like a store bought frozen pizza. The good the pizza crust was nice, crispy & nicely chewy, the red sauce had a good flavor. I would have liked a little more cheese. Both pizzas were about $9.00 each I asked for 2 coronas. When I went to pay it was over $60.00 and I asked why and the girl told me she added a tip. I should have gotten a recipe but I didn't. So I assume she charged me about $25.00 just to ring up my order and hand me my food. Totally not cool. And for that reason I will never give them my business again! First off service was 10/10, thanks to the kind gentlemen D who provided my group and I with the just the right amount to order! This place has many different types of pizzas to choose from with great vegetarian options in my opinion. The menu is basically all pizzas with two salad options and wings. They do serve alcohol and do have lunch specials here. We got the family size pizza and an extra large which were plenty for us. We ask for thin and crispy and it was exactly that. The young man who answered was super friendly; answered my questions and assured me our mushroom allergy would be noted. ;-) It'd been a long day of moving and we were starved, so the bar was relatively low... The restaurant was clean and pleasant, the guy at the counter was kind, pleasant and efficient. The pizzas were hot when we got them home and were totally delicious; great, rich tomato sauce, tons of toppings (no mushrooms!) on the Classic, and kicky, flavorful BBQ chicken pizza. Parking sucked, not their fault. I was a little upset to see the menu changed. All you can get is a 10 inch pizza. Previous pictures of the menu showed size and dough choices. 6 years later and this is still some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life. The White Chicken Pizza is sooo flavorful, packed with toppings, and the ingredients just taste fresh and high quality. I built my own for Pizza #2 with pepperoni, garlic, ricotta, and black olives. Me and my family couldn't decide which pizza was better, but regardless they were both outstanding. The homemade ranch is just as delicious as I remember too. Now the employees are just as pivotal to the charm and success of Mesa Pizza as the food itself. They're always fairly busy in the evenings (which is a great sign...) and the staff maintains their poise, professionalism, and kindness. Hats off to Jesus for making every guest feel like a valued customer. The location itself is in a cute area of Santa Barbara with plenty of other stores and scenery to check out nearby. Mesa Pizza has some good pizza selections. We ordered a Meat Lovers Pizza and Chicken Barbecue pizzas for a table of 7. They were great along with some chicken wings. Lots of good meat and sauces for the pizzas. Nice young staff, and we were satisfied. read more

We're visiting from out of town & arrived at about 3 on a Saturday; it was pretty empty & quiet! We were helped immediately & placed our order. The gentlemen at the front was really nice & helpful. My salad came out first & within 10 or less minutes we had our pizzas. The thin crust cheese & 1/2 pepperoni was delicious. The crust was the right amount of crunch with the softness on top. The mini was a perfect size for 1 person. My husband got the meat lovers small with thick crust. The crust was thick crunchy and doughy. It was perfect. All the tables were clean & the place has a great ambiance to it. Only thing that made us sad is we live 2 hours away from here, but we will definitely be back just to have this delicious pizza. read more

If you want pizza that hits all the right notes come to Mesa Pizza. The crust to toppings to sauce ratio are perfectly aligned and the toppings are generous on the pies. You get practically every topping that you ask for in every bite. They have their prefixed menu with specialty pizzas and also have the option to make your own combo and selection of toppings and flavors. We got a basic cheese pizza, another with pepperoni and sausage, and ordered the garden pesto and bbq chicken off of the menu. The garden pesto was loaded toppings and it tasted fresh and flavorful. The downside of the bbq chicken is that it would have been better with red onions and it was too salty and garlicky. The garden salad family size is huge and can feed about 3-4 people. Could not have had a heartier meal, and the fact that they do their own no contact delivery, that made things even better. Calling and ordering directly with Denise was quick and easy. And then the prompt delivery by Vishay was much appreciated. They have a pretty extensive menu of pizza, both regular and crust-less Pizzania, oven baked sandwiches, salads, and pastas. With our sports-loving, meat-loving crowd, we ordered up the Meat Lovers pizza, and it was delicious. Definitely want to try their vegetarian pizza, pastas and sandwiches next time (hopefully soon).
