I'm going to start off letting you know I'm from Chicago and also lived in NYC. So my pizza expectations are hard to meet in SB. The white chicken pizza was ok, it had way too much raw garlic in every bite. A little fresh pesto instead of the garlic on top after it's cooked would be a huge improvement. The other sausage pepper onion pizza really bad! They use the cheapest pre cooked frozen sausage crumbles. It tasted like a store bought frozen pizza. The good the pizza crust was nice, crispy & nicely chewy, the red sauce had a good flavor. I would have liked a little more cheese. Both pizzas were about $9.00 each I asked for 2 coronas. When I went to pay it was over $60.00 and I asked why and the girl told me she added a tip. I should have gotten a recipe but I didn't. So I assume she charged me about $25.00 just to ring up my order and hand me my food. Totally not cool. And for that reason I will never give them my business again! First off service was 10/10, thanks to the kind gentlemen D who provided my group and I with the just the right amount to order! This place has many different types of pizzas to choose from with great vegetarian options in my opinion. The menu is basically all pizzas with two salad options and wings. They do serve alcohol and do have lunch specials here. We got the family size pizza and an extra large which were plenty for us. We ask for thin and crispy and it was exactly that. 6 years later and this is still some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life. The White Chicken Pizza is sooo flavorful, packed with toppings, and the ingredients just taste fresh and high quality. I built my own for Pizza #2 with pepperoni, garlic, ricotta, and black olives. Me and my family couldn't decide which pizza was better, but regardless they were both outstanding. The homemade ranch is just as delicious as I remember too. Now the employees are just as pivotal to the charm and success of Mesa Pizza as the food itself. They're always fairly busy in the evenings (which is a great sign...) and the staff maintains their poise, professionalism, and kindness. Hats off to Jesus for making every guest feel like a valued customer. The location itself is in a cute area of Santa Barbara with plenty of other stores and scenery to check out nearby. Called our order in for pick up. The young man who answered was super friendly; answered my questions and assured me our mushroom allergy would be noted. ;-) It'd been a long day of moving and we were starved, so the bar was relatively low... The restaurant was clean and pleasant, the guy at the counter was kind, pleasant and efficient. The pizzas were hot when we got them home and were totally delicious; great, rich tomato sauce, tons of toppings (no mushrooms!) on the Classic, and kicky, flavorful BBQ chicken pizza. We were tired and hungry and were all so pleasantly surprised that Mesa totally over-delivered on all fronts. The salad was great, too. Friendly, speedy, fairly-priced and delicious pizza. We had plenty for dinner for two adults and two teens, with a few slices leftover for lunch. Another way to customize is with crust thickness - we got two with regular crust and one thin crust. I got the veggie Hawaiian, which was packed with toppings. So easy to call and order, was at the peak dinnertime and the order was ready in about 45 minutes. Get a side of the homemade ranch; you won't be sorry! Eat in also available at a handful of tables and a nice little bookshelf to pass the time. We're visiting from out of town & arrived at about 3 on a Saturday; it was pretty empty & quiet! We were helped immediately & placed our order. The gentlemen at the front was really nice & helpful. My salad came out first & within 10 or less minutes we had our pizzas. The thin crust cheese & 1/2 pepperoni was delicious. The crust was the right amount of crunch with the softness on top. The mini was a perfect size for 1 person. My husband got the meat lovers small with thick crust. The crust was thick crunchy and doughy. It was perfect. All the tables were clean & the place has a great ambiance to it. Only thing that made us sad is we live 2 hours away from here, but we will definitely be back just to have this delicious pizza. read more

This is by far the best pizza joint in Santa Barbara besides Patxi's deep dish. I love how they pack on the toppings unlike other pizza chains. Their pizza crust is so crunchy and stays fairly crunchy the next day which is a plus. Aside from pepperoni pizza, their white chicken pizza is one of my favorite. The white sauce is definitely not your typical white sauce, it's more on the garlicky side so it cuts a lot of the richness normally white sauces are known for. Because it wasn't super rich and heavy my wife (normally doesn't like white or cream base pizza or pastas) liked it. We've been here three times and the amount of toppings, the flavor and the crunch of the dough has always been consistent. Oh, can't forget about their ranch, it's made in house and is one of the best ranches I've had in a long while. I'm not a big pizza fan nor do I crave pizza often but ever since I've had their pizza, I crave it once in awhile. Especially when I want some crunchy savory carbs. read more

First walking in to the business you are greeted by a very welcoming young man, I believe he was the owner. He was patient and helped me decide what size and what to order. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. The space is warm and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious. So many toppings, they were hard to keep it all on the slice but that's the best. And then the prompt delivery by Vishay was much appreciated. They have a pretty extensive menu of pizza, both regular and crust-less Pizzania, oven baked sandwiches, salads, and pastas. With our sports-loving, meat-loving crowd, we ordered up the Meat Lovers pizza, and it was delicious. Definitely want to try their vegetarian pizza, pastas and sandwiches next time (hopefully soon).
