Fast and friendly service, delivering NY style pizza by the slice on the corner of Paseo Nuevo on the De La Guerra side x State Street. Very convenient snack after the movies or just when you're craving a bite of pizza; and it's great to see another Black owned business in a high traffic area of SB. The flavors and ingredients used are clearly high quality - the pepperoni was not too greasy compared to other places around town, and the presentation was very appetizing. We both felt our slices were on the crispier end (I did not enjoy the crust, because it was slightly burnt) but otherwise it was a perfect NY slice.

I have rarely been so disappointed in a restaurant much less in a pizza place. To be honest even bad pizza is still pizza, how can you go wrong? Today I found out. My wife had been hyping this place up for a while after reading about them on Instagram. We actually drove downtown to go to another pizza place that was celebrating their 30th anniversary but the line was ridiculous. Then my wife remembered Milios. So we walked the 3-4 blocks and were looking forward to the experience. The sample pies they had out all looked good so we ordered. 15-20 mins later we got our order and all I said was... what is this? Some of the smallest slices I've ever seen, on the edge of being burnt. I have had pizza everywhere. We went to New York and did a pizza crawl and I have never been served anything like this before. The only way to describe it is, three day old pizza that you left in the box and tried to revive in the toaster oven, only to forget and leave it in too long. Check out the pictures below. You should not be able to hold up a slice by the non crust side and have it stiff as a board. We tried to choke it down, because at $6 a slice we didn't feel like we should just leave it. After two bites my wife goes to get ranch to help lubricate it going down. That was mistake number two. At $1.50 per cup it was a dill / lemon atrocity that should trigger a Congressional investigation for fraud. We ate a few more bites but that was it. We threw the rest away and left bummed. We love local businesses and try our hardest, even downtown to support but come on guys, you have to meet us half way! As we left I looked at the table next to ours and theirs didn't look quite as burnt and the slices looked bigger. They were in to-go boxes so maybe that is the secret. We noticed the alcohol license application sign in the window as we left and my wife goes, "don't bother, you probably won't be around long enough."

I'm happy there is a new business at this location, but the customer service and food is disappointing so I will not be returning. Came on a Saturday afternoon, there was a good amount of customers, but it wasn't super busy. My partner and I came in and looked at the pizzas, then ended up waiting in line for so long we were about to leave. There was one cashier who seemed to have been one of the owners based off their IG. My partner and I were never greeted, but the owner told the other worker delivering slices to customers to help describe the pizza to us. I'm confused, you're the OWNER! There was one party in front of us in line, they ended up striking up conversation with the cashier for a while. We watched this cashier fill a whole 40oz water bottle and not once did he ask if we were ready. Then another party came in and he started talking to them! Did they open this place just to have conversations with people and ignore every other customer? The location is not big, so I'm confused how the cashier did not notice that we were waiting to order. I had to step up right at the register to be acknowledged. Onto the food.. eek. Ordered a slice of the milio, vodka, and white pizza. The square pizza was probably my favorite, but the slices were like eating cardboard. Barely any flavor and the crust was burnt. I haven't had NYC pizza, but based off other reviews this is not it. I also don't understand why the wait is so long for slices. If I had to guess, if it were NY style, it would be grab and go, or maybe a 5 min wait tops? I wanted to give this place a chance, but oof I'm sorry the food AND customer service is not it. Vibes are off. Pass!

Santa Barbara just got a taste of NYC! Founded by hospitality veterans Kamil Jumale and Miles Robbins, Milio's is serving up authentic NYC-style slices made with fresh, organic artisan-milled flour, sourdough starter, and a 72-hour fermentation process. They also offer gluten-free pizza. Get this, apparently their dough is made with New York water! I don't know how they import water from NY here, but that's what makes this pizza even more special. The menu includes specialty pies, seasonal specials, mini garlic focaccia, and soft serve. My favorite is The Milio. It's topped with jalapenos and sausage making it spicy, but not too spicy where it makes your mouth burn. I also love the white pizza and pepperoni. There's no flimsy pizza here! It's perfectly crisp and that's exactly how I like it. Santa Barbara has a lot of pizza restaurants on State Street, but it's nice to see one that offers it by the slice. I would say this is my new favorite along with Gino's pizza. The owners themselves are making the pizzas and cranking them out as fast as they can keep up. The space is very tight and small. With a few bar like tables to stand and eat, but they also have round tables and chairs out in the Paseo Nuevo mall area. Expect to wait in line anywhere from 10 - 15 minutes until the hype dies down. Overall, it's nice to see a black-owned business on State Street and I will be paying them many visits.

After seeing Milio's on Instagram, I made the intention of coming as soon as I could! On a random weekday afternoon, I was able to come by around 2pm. I only waited behind one person before ordering. I opted for the spicy pizza slice. After a few minutes, my slice was ready to go. Whilst walking down the street, I dug in. It was sooo delicious. The crust was crispy and the flavors were really well balanced. The burrata on top was truly the cherry on top of the slice. Overall, very delicious! I'd definitely like to come back and try more flavors. I'd recommend trying them out!!

Yes yes yes! Tried a slice of cheese and white. Both delicious, crispy, and cheesy. But have to say the white is top tier, has a slight sweetness when you bite into it, and love the burrata on top. I would love to see an expansion of the menu in the future, maybe some mushrooms or pineapple. But I'll certainly be back.

New pizza place located in paseo Nuevo. Come for a slice stay for people watching. The service was ok and I was disappointed that I got my slice practically burnt. I could not taste it what flavors the pizza had. I am willing to give it another try as they just opened and are ironing out the kinks. Most seating is outside and more standing room inside.

This place is everything! $6 for a slice of pizza, I tried the Milio I believe. SO GOOD! It might have been better than several places I tried in NYC. This pizza wasn't floppy at all, perfectly crispy all throughout. The vodka sauce with the jalapeño and pancetta was *chefs kiss* amazing. I did see that they had soft serve ice cream and slushies. I'd 1000% go back! The aesthetic inside was SO cute! The vibe is nice but it was a little hot inside. Overall it's great, 10/10.

The elite yelpers are def getting paid to write 5 star reviews. I DM'd these guys on IG to give honest feedback and not just review them. They saw it but didn't even say thanks or anything. I am a real NY Italian that grew up on Long Island. This is NOT NY pizza. I have screenshots of my IG DM. I feel like I was fair. Complimented the ingredients but if your supposed NY pizza doesn't convince NYers of it's authenticity, they maybe learn from the feedback

Although this is opening weekend, Chefs Kamil and Milo do not compromise on the quality and taste. Truly appreciate that they offer slices of every pizza option to get a taste of their pizza offerings. My favorite is the Milio! The pizza is worth the wait. Please give them some grace and patience as it is opening month. Their team is doing a great job! Chefs Kamil and Milo take the time to greet and welcome as many guests as they can while running front and back of the house. Love the energy and vibe they bring. Interior is clean and organized. Outside has comfortable patio chairs and tables for seating.

Happy there's a new pizza spot in town! The pizza was definitely good quality. I was a little surprised by the price. It was $20 for two slices, two small sides of ranch, and a water. For two people, that adds up pretty quickly. The quality is there but personally, I don't think it's quite good enough to justify that price. I'd probably go back if the prices were a little more reasonable, but $20 for two slices is a bit steep for me.

She inspected my printed receipt at the end and looked bugged when she realized we didn't tip due to her poor service.
