The place or ambience of the restaurant is nice. I had the rockfish with the potato patty. The rockfish and the potato patty were a bit salty. For my taste. The clam chowder was good. My friends ordered the rockfish taco. The service was okay.

Located on the outskirt of the mall, next to Macy's. It's a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing restaurant. We came for lunch service and was promptly seated. There is a lunch menu with a good portion size. Menu itself was moderately priced. Our waitress didn't come too often, so if you like not to be checked on often, then great. Restroom needed a little help, though, as napkins were overflowed to the floor. * Calamari - Nicely fried. Came with two dipping sauces. * Half dozen of charbroiled oysters - Small in size. Yes, I know it's not the right season. However, it was nice with plenty of garlic. * Spicy wild salmon sandwich - More like a burger. The salmon was flavorless. Wish it was blackened or something. The coleslaw and aoili is what gave it flavor. Quite disappointed with this one, even though, this is what the waitress recommended. Fries were over salted. Was barely able to eat it. * Sally's sand dabs - Good! Lemon capers were delicious! * Clam linguine - Came with nice sized clams. Strong wine flavor. * Clam chowder - Probably the best thing ordered. Must order! * Veracruz fish chowder - Ok. It reminded me of a chicken tortilla soup but with fish.

First time visiting, delicious fresh seafood with lots of gluten free options. Friendly service, spacious beautiful decor with lots of indoor seating. We enjoyed everything we ordered: ANACAPA SEAFOOD TOWER (3 oysters, 3 cocktail shrimp, tuna ponzu, spicy seafood ceviche), HOUSE MADE CHOWDERS (classic new england & veracruz fish chowder), CRISPY BAJA COD TACO, GRILLED ROCKFISH TACO & CHIPOTLE SHRIMP TACO. The chowders & tacos had great flavor & generous portions of meat. Everything in the seafood tower was delicious except the ceviche, it was too spicy & salty for us. They have a great happy hour menu Mon-Fri 3-6pm, Sat & Sun 11:30am-5pm. No reservations, first come first seating, it was pretty crowded Fri bet 4-6p for happy hour. Overall we had a wonderful experience.

We came to Santa Barbara for the weekend and we wanted to try out some seafood. The Lure Fish House had it all. The atmosphere and ambience was elegant and the place has a nautical aesthetic. We sat outside in the patio area, which they have a fireplace to warm our table. Our server "Mike" was attendant and professional. We ordered the Calamari to start and it was crispy and great. I also ordered a seafood soup and it was delicious. They brought out a French role before our meal and it was warm and fresh. My daughter also ordered a 1/2 dozen of fresh oysters. Mike, our server, recommended the Trevally which was a great fish that I have never tried out before. My wife ordered the Salmon and my daughters ordered the linguini with clams and lobster role. Overall, we got our seafood cravings satisfied.

Christain and Gabby at the bar are amazing, they took really good care of us. Grilled oysters and clam chowder were great!

Lure is one of my favorite restaurants. So I stopped by this one when I was visiting town. I got the house salad with rockfish. Fish was cooked perfectly and was tender and delicious. It paired well with my salad, contrasting with the crisp and fresh vegetables. Simple meal but I was happy with it. Service was super welcoming and friendly from start to finish.

Solid chain for Western style seafood, leaning towards the pricey end. Started with half dozen oysters, 2 of each of the 3 types they had. Wish they labeled it. They were all pretty fresh but definitely on the tinier side. Then we shared the crab cakes which had a delicious arugula salad on the bottom and yummy creamy sauce. This was tasty but I almost enjoyed the salad more than the crab cakes. For entrees, my mom had the pacific rockfish and I had the clams with linguine. The rockfish was cooked nicely but a bit on the blander side, although the parmesan potato cake was absolutely delicious!!! My clam linguine was rich and the clams were nice and plump. However, it was practically swimming in oil. Service was super welcoming and friendly from the start! Place was absolutely packed on a Sunday night.

I found this place by way of social media. I ended up doing a little bit of shopping at the Macy's, which is right next to this restaurant location. It was still early around lunchtime so I popped into see if the food looked pretty good or not. Decided that it was crowded at lunchtime and I would come back at dinner. I came back at dinner and it was double the crowd. I ended up having to wait about 45 minutes to get a table. Once they were ready, I ordered a lobster roll and sweet potato fries however they said the sweet potato fries are no longer going to be served so I had to order something else. Other than that, the hostess was very nice and the food came out speedily.

Food was so tasty, and service was really good for a very busy Saturday night. It was pretty crowded but we were accommodated right away without any reservations. The vibe of the restaurant boho chic with an airy patio area which is dog friendly.

    Baja shooters and oyster

This is the 4th time I've been to Lure Fish house and as always it's an amazing experience! My favorite thing to do is sit at the oyster bar! The charred broiled oysters are unbelievably flavorful and the grassy bar oysters are such a classic. Devin and Connor, the young men at the bar were wonderful! They are so attentive to their customers and even made us laugh! I could go on and on! 10/10 experience I will be back very soon!!

Service was great. Cool place, upscale, appointed well, good vibe. Fish was excellent in quality. I have the crab and shrimp salad. They tossed the salad with the dressing and I think they did it too early as the lettuce was limp by the time it made it to the table. My wife ordered the breaded trout which was delicious. She got Brussels sprouts which were amazing, and the French fries which we left and didn't eat. I would pass on the fries. We also started off with some Oysters which were delicious. Could have been five stars.

Service was the best here. Everyone was super friendly and charismatic. I ordered the seasonal faroe salmon which was buttery and flaky. The spinach was also super light but if you're looking for something savory and umami, I wouldn't recommend.

Another great lunch at the Lure in Feb. Menu paper looked nicer too. - Charbroiled oysters = not sure why, but just not enjoying this like we did back when we first discovered lure. Just seems to lack the flavor punch it had years back. Maybe something changed slightly since last year I felt it was a bit off too. Looking back at my own pictures, maybe the toppings are lacking butter or something that gave it a more liquid look before, while recent ones look less liquidy? No idea, but this is beginning to go off my list if it doesn't return to what it used to be... - Got the fish & chips + $5 with shrimp = delicious, but not sure if the +$ for fish & shrimp instead of having more fish is worth the upgrade. I would stick with fish n chips. - Sand dabs = always delicious and a fav for my family, kid ate it all up this time. - Miso glazed salmon bowl = got this for the kid, but he went all sand dabs. Wife and I ate this and it was a great piece of salmon and delicious.

The "smash" burger. Too thick to be considered that

The cocktails are highly creative, diverse in flavor and design, and really could stand up to any you would find at a top cocktail bar in a major city. And the bartender deserves applause for pulling off 3+ quite complex cocktails every 5 minutes off of memory and without any support.

In a stretch of Lower State packed with breweries, wine bars, and roaming weekend energy-drink humans in vintage bowling shirts, it threads the needle nicely between cocktail bar and tropical escape pod. The menu leans tiki-adjacent rather than deep-cut exotica, but the drinks are smartly built and avoid the "every problem can be solved with more rum" philosophy. There's a solid spread of spirits across the board, which makes the place feel more welcoming to a broader nightlife crowd instead of strictly rum disciples clutching vintage Trader Vic's mugs. The Oaxacan Dead was the standout for me. Smoky, balanced, endlessly sippable. One of those drinks where every sip quietly talks you into ordering another without turning into a sugar avalanche. The Jungle Bird was also great, though presented more in the direction of a Negroni than the punchier tropical versions you usually see. Bitter, restrained, and easy to settle into. Crowd-wise, things tilted a little frat-floaty as the night rolled on, but the staff handled everything smoothly and kept the vibe from turning into full pirate mutiny. Service stayed friendly and composed even when the volume of the room started climbing like a malfunctioning theremin. Big bonus points for the location and outdoor seating. Being right in the middle of Lower State makes it an easy launch point or final stop depending on your evening trajectory. Grab a drink, people-watch, drift between breweries and wine spots, repeat as necessary.

When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, there were about seven patrons throughout the bar and the outdoor seating area with the live music drew us in. We were told to order at the bar, so while the rest of our party was seated, I stood there for five minutes before someone took my order. Totally fine, but no sorry for the wait or even smile or any warmth from the male bartender, who disappeared for a five minute break shortly after taking my order. The tables at the outdoor seating area were very sticky and since there were no employees in sight I (and the other patrons who arrived then) cleaned the tables ourselves. After waiting 10 minutes I went up to the bar and assumed since our drinks hadn't been delivered, I was supposed to pick them up, I was told don't worry, we'll bring them to you, and after another five minutes, our drinks arrived. The cocktails were decent, nothing revolutionary but I am spoiled in this department, well made but nothing to get excited about . After 30 minutes of enjoying the genuinely nice outdoor area we ordered another round, three shots took another 10+ minutes. When we realized we had to leave to make our reservation, we asked for a box for our untouched food, and we were told we don't have boxes. They ended up finding one for For us, but it appeared to be a pastry box from somewhere else. The female bartender who took over after the male clocked out, was much more personable, but not much more efficient. To their credit, this bar has an excellent selection of tequilas and Mezcal's, so if you're not in a rush and you enjoy those spirits it's definitely worth stopping by. The music was really great and was definitely the highlight of that bar.

The vibe was classy and trendy but still lively. Such a pretty spot! The four of us shared a bunch of things. The Everybody Loves Raymond was my favorite roll. The crispy tuna nigiri was my favorite appetizer. Super fresh with perfectly crispy rice. We also loved the firecracker rock shrimp, which was light and crispy without being oily. We got the sauce on the side so the spice was totally manageable. But the GARLIC NOODLES!! Easily some of the best I've ever had. Buttery, garlicky, creamy and everyone at the table agreed they were amazing. The shrimp fried rice was great too, and they were able to make it non-spicy for us. Pearl social is such a whimsical fun spot to grab a drink and a snack in the funk zone. We stumbled in for a late afternoon drink and it wasn't very busy inside - giving off "best kept secret vibe".
