Perfect patio for wine-tasting with friends!
Emily G.

A quick day trip to Santa Barbara from LA with some friends and we ended up at Frequency. Cute patio area, tried the tasting flight for $25, and our server was really knowledgeable. Would definitely come back!

Wine tasting at Frequency Wine is a wonderful place for an afternoon with family or friends. Went with college friends on a weekend afternoon where we enjoyed each others company while enjoying a varuety of wines. Parking: street parking. Server was friendly, personable, answered all of our questions about each tasting and was very knowledgable about each wine. We started trying the white wines, then red wines. One of us bought a bottle. A wonderful location to enjoy wine with friends Great location in Santa Barbara Cheers~!

We had such a wonderful experience at the frequency wine company. First of all, our dynamic server greeted us with such a beautiful smile . Our favorite , actually we had to was the 2023 rosé fresh and vibrant and crisp so delicious. And GSM 2022. I don't really know what to compare it to but we gave it 4 1/2 stars out of five it was a beautiful bright crisp glass of deliciousness raspberry and floral lots of wonderful red fruits a really beautiful delicate sip. This is a dog friendly. They have a larger outside area than they do an inside area, but both are extremely cute.

Came to Santa Barbara for one day to do some wine tasting and visiting Frequency was bar far the highlight of the whole trip. The tasting room is tucked away inside a courtyard with plenty of outdoor seating. The interior is so cozy and inviting, we found a cute little sofa to sit on that was perfect for two. We went on a weekday, so it was pretty mellow but I have to say, the service was above and beyond wonderful. The ladies pouring were so friendly and offered lots of great food reccomendations. Now for the wine! Amazing. This was also the only tasting room we visited where we took home a couple bottles. Their red blend was a favorite, but their chardonnay was a pleasant surprise! Usually I'm not a chard gal, but this was so unexpectedly good and unlike any other chardonnay I have had. They offer some pre-made cheese boxes if you want a snack, but the location is walking distance to lots of eateries in the area. Can't wait to return next time I am in SB!

Super relaxing patio and our server was super sweet and bubbly! Wine flight was great, our favorites were her recommendations, from the sebastiano vineyard

Had such a lovely time at Frequency Wine. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. My boyfriend and I sat in the patio outside which had a great ambiance. We tried the wine flight and ended up ordering a bottle of the white wine from the tasting menu to sip on. We were able to sit, chat and drink for a couple of hours without feeling rushed. Our waitress was attentive and sweet. The wine from the tasting menu was delicious! We even took home a bottle as well. I would definitely return :)

The service is, simply put, the best! We're a bit biased towards Bailey, but Jessica is mad wonderful!!! As is everyone here. There are so, so many wine clubs around and with tasting being part of your membership why not enjoy that part?! Belonging to about 6,7 clubs, the drive to Santa Barbara and further north for pickups becomes part of your social life, so when someplace like Frequency opens it's an absolute delight ‼ Time to drop half this clubs and just enjoy this f*ucking gem. Great wines!! !!! And everyone knows their shit. So you're enjoying and getting a good bit of info at the same time. And when YOU know wine it's twice as good cause there's good convo and good drink. This has turned into a monthly visit. I can think of worse ways to have but why?! The reds AND the whites are good!!! There's a Rose to make you weep, and leaving without buying cannot be done. Good wines. GOOD wines. Ask about the 95 points.

Was in the area and had such a lovely time. The wine was fantastic and host was lovely. The wine was so good that I had to join the club. Looking forward to coming back the next time I'm visiting!

My partner and I went here to start off my birthday and we had the best time. Our server was Zoey and she was nothing short of amazing! We had really fantastic conversations with her and she also really knew her wines! The wine was delicious-highly recommend the Radian Chardonnay!! I liked it so much I bought three bottles and joined their wine club! All in all this was such a great spot and I'm glad it was my first stop. Shout out to Bailey too for chatting it up with us and we learned all about butterflies and caterpillars which was so unique to this wine tasting room.

Made reservations at this lovely jewel for Friday 3/4 @1pm. The weather was perfect for an outdoor tasting. Bailey was amazing, very helpful and knowledgeable about the wine. We had the toasting flight and my favorite was the rosé! We didn't have a chance to stay longer but if you do visit make this your first place to visit, you will not regret it. I also signed up for the wine club which I'm excited about but super sad about my wine glasses I purchased which broke on the way home. Just an update I received my wine shipment yesterday 3/8/23 on my birthday!!!!

Great venue! Even Archie loves it!

This is a cute little wine bar/winery next to the cheese shop. We spent sometime at the bar there enjoying a bottle of wine and a cheese board from the cheese shop next door. The winery has a number of tables and seating to enjoy the wine. It was quite busy when we went (pre-covid) and everyone seemed like they were having a great time.

The most aesthetically pleasing wine tasting room in downtown SB for sure. It was our first time here and we came for my bf's birthday weekend. The staff gave him an extra pour! wine tasting for 20$ was well worth it. It started off with a rose and ended with a superb graciano. We came at the last hour (5pm) and unfortunately they ran out of the cheese board. Otherwise we had a great time!

Wine and bunnies. Nothing better!

Excellent wines, especially the GSM, and one of the best cheese plates in town (make sure to get the pâté as well).

This really is the perfect place for both wine AND food…read more So far we've been in a couple times sitting in the bar area and also out on their comfy patio space. Our servers Alex and Kayla were exceptional at both suggesting some delicious lunch items, and also giving a rundown on their different wine tastings. They gave us some helpful information on the assorted varietals and vintages as well. We went in specifically for their M5 and Riviera Rose, but discovered their extensive selection of other varietals and vintages. Came away with some new favorites: Sauvignon Blanc, Trois Blondes (a delicious white blend), Viognier, Mourvedre, and Estate Syrah. Perfect that they open at noon for lunch. We paired our wines with their Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon, Smoked Duck and Arugula Salad, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom & Carmelized Onion Pizza. Still so much on their menu to enjoy.

It was chilly so she tried to light the heat lamp at my request but both that one and the replacement did not work. The replacement actually had the propane disconnected so I assume someone knew that tank needed to be changed out but didn't do it. The other tables from the large party were full of wine glasses and a half eaten pizza. Those sat there for over an hour, and we watched several groups of people come but leave without being seated because no server was available yo seat them and the only open table hadn't been cleared. When it was finally cleared, one guest at a near by table commented that the pizza shouldn't go to waste. The girl who cleared the table initially carried it inside but came right back out with it and served it to that guest whose kid ate it. I'm all for not wasting food and if the guest had gotten up and grabbed the pizza himself, that would be one thing... but to serve old food that had been sitting out for a long time to a guest is a no no for a business. We otherwise enjoyed most of the wines in our tasting flight. Would've given 5 stars if service had been more timely, tables cleared and old food not served up.

The aesthetic is intentional and well done. Mexican icons on the walls, thoughtful decor throughout, and fresh flower centerpieces that quietly say someone here actually cares. It feels curated, not forced. I've seen a review floating around claiming Angel is rude, which hasn't matched my experience at all. Every interaction I've had has been professional and friendly. This feels more like a busy Friday night where people were camping without ordering wine and didn't love being reminded that a wine bar is, indeed, for drinking wine. Wine + service * Tasting flights are $25 and well curated * They occasionally offer two-for-one wine flights * Small-batch wines produced in the Santa Ynez Valley by Esfuerzo Wines * Standout favorites include the Coyote Rojo Bordeaux-style blend & the Sauvignon Blanc is crisp, refreshing, and easy to love * Marissa, one of the tasting associates, is consistently hospitable and attentive and makes the experience feel effortless Vibe and events * Fridays feature Lotería with a DJ from 6-10pm * Lively without being chaotic * A solid mix of locals, regulars, and people actually there for the wine If you're looking for good wine, a fun atmosphere, and a Funk Zone spot that blends culture with care, Orgullo Wine is doing it right. We've been there when it's busy and it can be festive-- pop ups in old vintage rv's or outside beer halls can appear; bands playing in several spots, etc. Experiences can be hit or miss. We visited a winery called Area 51 which sounded fun, but the wines were just okay. But Pali Wine had very good wines, a relaxing patio, and cool live music. The stores vary from very pricey threads to affordable knick knacks; succulents to vintage records to original artwork. Many spaces occupy previously owned old businesses that give it a nostalgic feeling. A few top name wineries have spaces here (i.e. Fess Parker). Definitely worth checking out in looking for a unique time in Santa Barbara.
