Fun puzzles with sparkling wines. Perfect.

Such a fun and tasty experience here at Loubud Wines, and all within the beautiful setting of the inner El Paseo Patio. And on a beautiful Santa Barbara afternoon, seated in their comfy cozy patio area, our gracious host Paul took us through our tasting and made sure we knew exactly which vineyard each wine came from. We learned so much about the process of making Sparkling Wine, and why each glass was so special. And as we went through our tasting we had the opportunity to also enjoy working on their custom hand carved wooden puzzles. Something we had never experienced before, and they helped to make the tasting all the more enjoyable. They also offer a Santa Rita Hills Rosé of Pinot Noir, and a Happy Canyon Sauvignon Blanc. Both of which we purchased for our next Springtime picnics. They also have a fun tasting area inside, both at their bar and inside tables. Although we didn't get a chance to meet winemaker Laura and Taco (they both had the day off), we look forward to coming back to Loubud very soon. Really can't say enough about how delicious the wines are, you really need to experience them yourselves.

I love this place !! Bubbles and puzzles! Is their motto . The husband makes the puzzles and the wife does the wine . Welcoming service , with a cozy atmosphere. It's a quaint place to enjoy some wine and relax and do a puzzle.

We had such a wonderful time at Loubud Wines! I recently came in with my whole family, and everyone had the most lovely experience. Paul, the husband of winemaker Laura, seated us on their beautiful patio and it was a perfect setting. We enjoyed several of their wines, but the standout for me was the Blanc de Blanc sparkling. It was elegant, refined, and had beautiful fine bubbles. I'm also a sucker for Laura's Sauvignon Blanc. It was crisp, bright, and just right for sunny Santa Barbara days. What really sets Loubud apart is the personal touch. Paul makes custom wooden puzzles (much harder than I anticipated) and it was so fun and an unexpected treat during our visit. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, with great music playing on their record player and a very dog-friendly atmosphere. Family-owned, thoughtful, and welcoming, Loubud is one of those special places you don't want to miss. We'll definitely be back!

I have to say these are by far some of the best bubbles I've come around in Santa Barbara County. Laura's passion and attention to detail comes through in her lineup of wines, from a still rosé of pinot noir to her Blanc de Noirs, I absolutely adore the tasting room in the El Paseo Presidio. It's a small tasting room but gives the vibes of hanging out at your best friend's house, unwinding with a puzzle and enjoying some fantastic wines. I keep talking to everyone I know about these puzzles because her husband Paul is incredibly talented, he cuts out every individual piece. These are high quality wooden puzzles and worth every penny! I've personally bought two now, funny, I go for the wine but leave with a puzzle! Lol. This most recent afternoon I stopped by was 4th of July which wasn't very busy due to all the festivities happening around town, I came in to do a tasting since it's been a while and I knew she had just released two new still wines (Sauvignon Blanc & Rosé of Pinot Noir) both were spectacular. I'm truly a sucker for bubbles and hers do not disappoint. Laura and Paul are both very talented people and it shows through their passion and vigor. I highly recommend you come by and support them. Truly family owned and small producer, and who knows! You might just join their wine club and end up leaving with a new puzzle to enjoy with your family and friends! Prost!

My new favorite spot in SB. It's a cute spot with a little patio. Loved drinking wine, chatting away and making a puzzle. We shared a bottle so next time i'll have to do a tasting because the rose was outstanding. He's customized puzzles will make such a great gift too!

This really is the perfect place for both wine AND food…read more So far we've been in a couple times sitting in the bar area and also out on their comfy patio space. Our servers Alex and Kayla were exceptional at both suggesting some delicious lunch items, and also giving a rundown on their different wine tastings. They gave us some helpful information on the assorted varietals and vintages as well. We went in specifically for their M5 and Riviera Rose, but discovered their extensive selection of other varietals and vintages. Came away with some new favorites: Sauvignon Blanc, Trois Blondes (a delicious white blend), Viognier, Mourvedre, and Estate Syrah. Perfect that they open at noon for lunch. We paired our wines with their Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon, Smoked Duck and Arugula Salad, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom & Carmelized Onion Pizza. Still so much on their menu to enjoy.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the efforts of one server to keep things afloat outside…read more When we arrived, another large party had just left outside and she immediately cleaned one of their tables so we could sit. It was chilly so she tried to light the heat lamp at my request but both that one and the replacement did not work. The replacement actually had the propane disconnected so I assume someone knew that tank needed to be changed out but didn't do it. The other tables from the large party were full of wine glasses and a half eaten pizza. Those sat there for over an hour, and we watched several groups of people come but leave without being seated because no server was available yo seat them and the only open table hadn't been cleared. When it was finally cleared, one guest at a near by table commented that the pizza shouldn't go to waste. The girl who cleared the table initially carried it inside but came right back out with it and served it to that guest whose kid ate it. I'm all for not wasting food and if the guest had gotten up and grabbed the pizza himself, that would be one thing... but to serve old food that had been sitting out for a long time to a guest is a no no for a business. We otherwise enjoyed most of the wines in our tasting flight. Would've given 5 stars if service had been more timely, tables cleared and old food not served up.

The aesthetic is intentional and well done. Mexican icons on the walls, thoughtful decor throughout, and fresh flower centerpieces that quietly say someone here actually cares. We've been there when it's busy and it can be festive-- pop ups in old vintage rv's or outside beer halls can appear; bands playing in several spots, etc. Experiences can be hit or miss. We visited a winery called Area 51 which sounded fun, but the wines were just okay. But Pali Wine had very good wines, a relaxing patio, and cool live music.
