Excellent food. Excellent service. Uber friendly and inviting! We will definitely be back at least twice a year.

Love the leather look and feel! Dry Riesling!

Potek Winery is outside of the Funkzone and that is a plus for me! Especially on a Saturday afternoon, I could use a break from the crowds of the Funkzone. Upon entering, we were greeted with lively tunes on the outside of Potek which also has a nice seating area and a hipster ambiance! (Y'all know I love me some ambiance). If you have your Axxess deal, use it here as you can get a 2 for 1 tasting! We were seated inside in the front of the tasting room behind the barrels. This is a secluded seating area and honestly, I felt like I was in the VIP area! This area looks like it would great for bigger groups! We were brought our flights with info booklets on each wine and left to just relax and sip! I did enjoy the different shapes of the glasses they used, it just added to the vibe! My favorite was the Dry Riesling. Also, they had a food vendor on sight so in case you get hungry...which I did! Potek Winery, you will see me again, thank you!

Today I had the opportunity by default to attend the Protec event Featuring their newly released sparklings and Reds I think. One of the highlights was having Bettina restaurant with their mobile pizza oven. Originally it was a sold out event when I tried to respond by email. Yet lo and behold I was allowed to be on the waiting list. Dave and his staff were on point the sparkling flowed the reds were superb deep flavor crisp yet Hardy if that makes any sense. I Hadn't visited protec in a while, That made It specially special. The Bettina Pop up oven Was over the top. My neighbor Danielle is the chef at the restaurant. I really loved their pies Gotta be one the best in town. All in all an amazing afternoon especially since it almost didn't happen. Special thanks to Dave the staff and the crew at Potek. Bettina Pizza Made for a perfect collaboration. Thanks again for allowing me to be a part of this party

Took the 'The End' port home, This is a beautiful port! Barely tawny and just the perfect end to an evening. It is a fabulous addition to the Potek repertoire!

Truly relaxing environment to enjoy a tasting.

There's no shortage of tasting rooms in Santa Barbara at this point, but I can't recommend Potek enough to people when they are visiting. The wine always hits the right notes and it is entirely rewarding to be able to chat with the knowledgable staff or even the winemakers as they produce on site and are always generous with their time and craft. The ambiance is elevated without an attitude and the staff always achieves the perfect balance of attention and casual comfort to enjoy the space and most importantly the delicious wines. The Mill offers a few food options as well, so you can make this a one stop shop for an afternoon or evening filled with the best Santa Barbara has to offer.

Came across Potek Winery by coincidence. We peered into their tasting and were interested in its quiet and relaxed ambience. Inside the host shared the tasting menu with us and we decided to split one tasting which was $20 - a mix of one white and a few reds. The tasting came with a small booklet describing each wine and how it was curated. Each was fantastic, but the Syrah was our favorite. After the tasting and chatting with the host we decided to become a wine member. We joined their dual membership which gave us free tastings at their sister Winery in the Funkzone. It was a great deal and we are excited to be a part of both wineries. I highly recommend both - Potek for a sophisticated and quiet tasting and Muni for a fun/young vibe. Cannot wait for our next trip back!

Wine flight includes 4, 1oz pours for $20. They tasted really good! There is also a brewery across from it, convenient for variety.

We had a series of issues from the start. Our assigned waiter was completely inattentive; he ignored our table, failed to check on us, and never brought the cheese board we ordered. We eventually had to flag down another member of the staff just to get any service at all. Even after we caught his attention, our server seemed aware of us but made no effort to approach or assist. Additionally, the wait time for our wine flights was excessively long. When the cheese board finally arrived, I was shocked to find that all three cheeses were served still inside their original plastic wrappers--not even sliced. To make matters worse, we were provided with plastic knives to cut the cheese ourselves, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have never encountered a cheese board served this way at any establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, and I want to give credit to the other waitresses who were working that day--they were great and were the only saving grace of the experience. However, the lack of basic service and the bizarre presentation of the food made this a trip I wouldn't recommend

We were staying at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara for my niece's wedding, and since we had a full day to spend in Santa Barbara, we decided to come here -- and we're so glad we did! The winery was super cute and had the perfect Halloween vibe we were looking for. The person that assisted us was wearing a dinosaur inflated costume. It was so fun! Our original plan was to have a drink and then walk around downtown Santa Barbara, but we loved it so much that we ended up staying the entire time. We were seated in a cozy living room-style area with a fireplace right beside us -- it felt so warm and inviting. Later in the afternoon, the Dodgers game came on, so we enjoyed watching part of it while sipping our wine and just relaxing. They even had a fun Halloween special that paired chocolates and candies with their wines, which made the experience extra festive and unique. The charcuterie board was absolutely delicious -- we ordered extra bread and crackers because everything was so good! We had such an amazing time here. I can't express enough how much we enjoyed it. Wilkes Winery hoping to reset the tone of our day -- and it completely exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff at J. Wilkes was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Their positive energy instantly lifted our spirits. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, professional, and attentive, making us feel not just like customers, but like valued guests. We were encouraged to relax and enjoy the space. We were even allowed to play a friendly card game at our table while sipping our wine, which added a fun and personal touch to the tasting. The team struck the perfect balance of being available, informative, and never overbearing. The wines themselves were fantastic -- smooth, rich, and well-presented with helpful guidance from the staff. Every pour came with insight, and you could tell the team truly loves what they do. This was the highlight of our wine tasting day in Santa Barbara, and we're so grateful we chose to stop here. If you're looking for a place that treats you with respect, makes you feel welcome, and serves incredible wine, J. Wilkes is the place to go. We will absolutely be returning!

Just when I think the experience can't get any better, they find a way to raise the bar again. Scott has created something truly special with Sustainable Wine Tours. He has curated a one-of-a-kind experience that goes far beyond a typical wine tour. From intimate boutique wineries you would never find on your own to opportunities to meet the winemakers themselves, every stop feels authentic, personal, and thoughtfully chosen. Over the years, I've gained an incredible appreciation for wine because of these tours. The level of wine education, along with the knowledge shared about the Santa Ynez Valley, has been extraordinary. Every tour leaves me with a deeper understanding of the region, the vineyards, and the people behind each bottle. This time, Karina was our host, and she was fantastic. When she realized one of our scheduled wineries was one we had already visited, she immediately worked with Scott to arrange a different boutique winery. We would have been perfectly happy revisiting the original stop, but the fact that they made every effort to create a new experience speaks volumes about their commitment to their guests. The service is unmatched, the hospitality is genuine, and every detail is intentional. Sustainable Wine Tours has created some of our favorite travel memories, and after five tours, I can honestly say this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that somehow gets even better every time. Our servers Alex and Kayla were exceptional at both suggesting some delicious lunch items, and also giving a rundown on their different wine tastings. They gave us some helpful information on the assorted varietals and vintages as well. We went in specifically for their M5 and Riviera Rose, but discovered their extensive selection of other varietals and vintages. Came away with some new favorites: Sauvignon Blanc, Trois Blondes (a delicious white blend), Viognier, Mourvedre, and Estate Syrah. Perfect that they open at noon for lunch. We paired our wines with their Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon, Smoked Duck and Arugula Salad, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and Sausage Mushroom & Carmelized Onion Pizza. Still so much on their menu to enjoy.

It was chilly so she tried to light the heat lamp at my request but both that one and the replacement did not work. The replacement actually had the propane disconnected so I assume someone knew that tank needed to be changed out but didn't do it. The other tables from the large party were full of wine glasses and a half eaten pizza. Those sat there for over an hour, and we watched several groups of people come but leave without being seated because no server was available yo seat them and the only open table hadn't been cleared. When it was finally cleared, one guest at a near by table commented that the pizza shouldn't go to waste. The girl who cleared the table initially carried it inside but came right back out with it and served it to that guest whose kid ate it. I'm all for not wasting food and if the guest had gotten up and grabbed the pizza himself, that would be one thing... but to serve old food that had been sitting out for a long time to a guest is a no no for a business. We otherwise enjoyed most of the wines in our tasting flight. Would've given 5 stars if service had been more timely, tables cleared and old food not served up.
