Suggested by my boyfriends Uncle and Aunt, we headed to Frequency Wine. If you seen my Handlebar review and traveling to Montecito/Santa Barbara, this is close by. Parking isn't the easiest but that's not the Winery's fault. We were told that this is a wine tasting spot only so there was nothing to eat. So come with a bit of a full stomach. And to ask for Bailey. I think Bailey was unavailable but we still had a fantastic time drinking here. We were lucky enough to have their Rose, and you cannot miss the opportunity to have it. Also, my boyfriend and I are not wine connoisseurs, but the staff helped us every step of the way. But after a couple of sips, you do wish that you can order something to nibble on. A bit pricey, luckily my boyfriend and I saved up for holiday outing but we would not come here without some extra spending money. They have a club membership but we were only here to visit family. But we would have loved to join their club membership if we were local to here. read more

Loved their wines and enjoyed the service/ambience of this tasting room. Everything we tried was well-balanced and delicious. Courtney is the sweetest. They are prompt about shipping wines. Signed up for the club membership. Highly recommend and can't wait to return! read more

Unique blend of wine that you can't get anywhere else. Love the young wine to GSM to Graciano and to Mourvèdre. .

Dropped by as a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon for the wine tasting flight. We sat inside and really liked the interior design. The courtyard is also a beautiful place to sit and there were many people outside enjoying the sun. In comparison to other tasting rooms we went to that weekend, the staff didn't rush to explain each wine and they were very warm and receptive to questions. We enjoyed the flight and our time there. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Santa Barbara in the future. read more

I loved the wine. Great people and great vibe. We did a wine tasting and ended up becoming members.

We had a reservation this past weekend at Frequency Wine Company. We were seated a few minutes early in the outside courtyard, which was a very nice area. There were families, dogs, and people just drinking wine and enjoying the afternoon sunshine. The wines were very nice to taste, with a few whites and reds. We also had a few tastings off the menu. We each took a few bottles home with us to enjoy later. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We never had to wait to long to move on to the next tasting, and the pours were good. Definitely check them out. read more

A must visit if you are in the Santa Barbara downtown area. The service is great and very accommodating. We usually taste red wines and most of their wines are GSM or Syrah. The grapes are from Colson Canyon and Stn.Rita Hills which are the best in Santa Barbara area, The reds are very tasty, delicious and full of layers. We usually go to the wineries, but if you like to do a casual wine tasting without driving along roads this is the best place. The other suggestion would be if you are dining in Santa Barbara, give this place a try prior to your dinner reservation. read more

So Much Fun! Great atmosphere and delicious wines. Ask for Bailey for your server. She made it an experience!

The wines were just okay, but the service was excellent. Bailey P. was very knowledgeable and charismatic and she made the wine tasting experience one to remember. Definitely stop by if you're across the street at ABC. read more

Frequency Wines has become my local watering hole when I'm looking for a few essential things: - Chill ambiance, check! - A glass of extremely drinkable wine, check! - Good company, check! I absolutely adore the fact that they are almost completely family run. The winemaker Zac and his sister Almond (who is now the tasting room manager) both started learning and mastering their wine knowledge at my other favorite Santa Barbara County winery, Andrew Murray. They brought their sweet Italian mother Maria in to help create their tasting room first in Los Alamos to pour. Now a year later (anniversary of 6/25/18), they celebrated being open in downtown Santa Barbara near the historic Presidio. I must mention two of the other Frequency "family members," Riley and Anne, who help out in the daily business operations and tasks--Love these girls! Over time, I was able to befriend and get to know the crew. I thank them for teaching me so much about wine. Now onto what you want to hear about: WINE! I rarely go to a tasting room where I enjoy every single wine poured. To be honest, I often skip or dump out white wines after a single sip. NOT HERE! Their Chardonnay is uniquely crisp and smooth without the classic butter or oak notes. I am also not a fan of the most sought after grape in Santa Barbara, Pinot Noir. However, theirs remains totally drinkable and enjoyable. Besides these Burgundy varietals, Frequency actually specializes on Rhone varietals, particularly Syrahs! They are absolutely succulent and fruity. My absolute favorite Syrah, when in season, comes from the Shokrian vineyard. Well, use of the word 'favorite' is a tough one since I'm also a huge fan of their "GSM (Grenache/Syrah/Mourvedre)" which has since been properly labelled as a "GSG" since a university viticulture study demonstrated that what was thought of being Mourvedre by many wineries was actually Graciano. I surprisingly like it more than a true GSM; double proven by their 100% Graciano wine. Frequency offers their Reserve wines, Artist Series (look for the fun whimsical labels) and DiPalermo labels which is a salute to Maria's Italian side of the family. If I haven't sold you on stopping in here for a tasting, then this will. Frequency Wines shares a sliding glass door with C'est Cheese (https://www.yelp.com/biz/cest-cheese-santa-barbara?osq=cest+cheese) which offers an large selection of cheeses, meats, crackers, and more to enjoy with your wine. Whether you make your own or go for their pre-made charcuterie plate, I am positive you'll enjoy yourself! read more

Incredible wines for a fantastic price! The weekdays are good to just come stop by. But I've been told to make reservations if you come on a weekend. There's a reason they have all 5 star reviews. It's because they are that good! Maria is great and I've heard Almond is fantastic too. Guaranteed absolute satisfaction. read more

First time here since they moved from Los Olivos and the experience was just as spectacular. The reds are one of the few that don't give me a tannin migraine. Definitely worth the visit. Make sure you get a chance to talk with Maria, Zac's mom who is an absolute hoot and the life of the party. read more

Best Syrah I ever had. And my lady loves the Rosé... The tasting room is ever so inviting. The family that owns this label is loving and community based. The matriarch is a gem. I don't know that I've ever had a better experience at a room than I had at Frequency. Should you find yourself in Santa Barbara, this is a must stop location. Frequency Wine - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

We had the BEST time at Frequency! The wines are amazing, the atmosphere is relaxing and Bailey is an absolute wealth of knowledge in wines! We can't wait to come back read more

Incredible wine tasting experience lead by the wine maker's Mom!! This was such a neat little spot with a great outside patio. The atmosphere throughout was simply perfect for wine tasting. We posted up outside and started our tasting of 5 wines (1 Chardonnay, 1 GSM blend, and 3 Pinot noirs). We're not typically Chardonnay drinkers although we actually liked the one we tried. It didn't finish quite like a typical Chardonnay which is why we probably enjoyed it. The GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre) blend was something we've never experienced before and it was very good as well with a light and easy drinking taste. We love Pinot noirs and the 3 Pinots we tried were absolutely fantastic and it was those wines that encouraged us to join their wine club...that and the phenomenal tasting experience we received from Maria (Zac's mom...Zac is the winemaker)!! She was so much fun and had so much knowledge of wine and the wine making process. Just an absolutely joy to experience Frequency Wines with Maria! We can't wait to receive our first wine club shipment and also can't wait to come back and visit the tasting room again!! read more

I see why this place has five stars. Almond was our host and she was absolutely positively extraordinary! She really makes the place. The wines are also delicious but the wines as delicious as they are, have a hard time competing with her. This is a family business, which I love to support. Almonds mom is super adorable! The tasting room is very nice and they have an outside patio. You can bring your own food as well. I think we spent about three hours here as it was that fabulous. Can't wait to come back!!!! read more

Returned again and joined the club. The wines here are truly delicious and I love that they have a variety from whites to reds that are all fantastic, plus the staff is super welcoming, attentive, and fun to hang with on a lazy Sunday in Santa Barbara. Check it out! read more

Great service, great outdoor setting and nice wine. Our serve was Colin and she was friendly, informative and fun! Highly recommend!

My favorite tasting room in Santa Barbara. Go see Almond and Maria and if you need suggestions on what to eat or see, ask them! They won't lead you astray. Also, the tasting room is dog friendly, bonus points for that. The wines are easy drinking and divine. This was the only place that we not only tasted at but bought bottles from as well.....and came back to a second time before leaving. Must see! read more

Frequency Wine - Rosé - Wine Tasting Room Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

Of course, I'll always be sad that the C'est Cheese restaurant area closed, but I was really glad that Frequency has opened in its place. Excellent wines, especially the GSM, and one of the best cheese plates in town (make sure to get the pâté as well). I'm always surprised when a winemaker manages to make a young wine taste older than its actual age, and Frequency has succeeded across the board here. I ended up buying two bottles of the 2019 GSM because it was so good. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back here! read more

We've been wine tasting at several wineries in SB, mainly in the Funk Zone and have been disappointed with most. We were referred to Frequency by someone we met who lives in SB and I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised. They were pouring a Chardonnay, Rose if Grenache, three GSMs and two Syrahs. All of which were very good and drinkable now. Maria and Almond were working, who are Mother and daughter and both were friendly and wanted to ensure everyone was taken care of. Cool, contemporary vibe, reasonable prices and ready to drink now wines. Next time you in SB check it out. read more

Great wine tasting experience with great wines to match! We've been to a lot of tasting rooms in Santa Barbara and this one is definitely one of our favorites! We had a big party, we all thought the service was great, ambiance was perfect and loved the fact that they are dog friendly!

Introduced to this tasting room through Taste Santa Barbara Food Tours- and I was more than impressed! Every wine from the tasting flight was unique, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. Baillie was a phenomenal server and I will absolutely be back soon! Also planning on joining their wine club as I need these wines in my regular rotation. Cheers ! read more

Frequency Wine Company... Wow! What a beautiful curation of Santa Barbara grown grapes. Zack is doing a great job making these wines. With a little bit of Rhone and a splash of Burgundies this spot is a great representation of what SB winemakers do. Jackie our attendent was knowledgeable and friendly. The Los Alamos grown 19' Mourvedre was my favorite and I enjoyed every drop. read more

Showed up at 5:40 to enjoy a glass of wine in the courtyard. Was told immediately that they close at six. No interest in serving us or trying to accommodate. It's not like we didn't have enough time to have one glass of wine. The location is beautiful and the wine may or may not be good, but I'll never know because I will never go back there and I will also tell my friends to avoid it. read more

Had a great time here and enjoyed all the wines. Everyone was super friendly and inviting. Definitely recommend.

This place was so great. Really cute ambiance and right next to an adorable cheese shop. They partner with the cheese shop and you can order some cheese to go with your wine which was delicious. The people who work there were also incredibly friendly and helpful, we went to some other wine bars that were a bit pretentious and snooty but not so here. Also, the wine was delicious, my favorite was their Blanc and we ended up taking home a bottle. I'm seriously considering signing up for the wine club. We'll definitely visit again the next time we're in Santa Barbara. read more

I really did enjoy this place and was close to joining as a member. I may go back and do so in the future. I've visited a few times. Tastings are a standard price of $15.00. Located next door is a place where you can order a cheese tray to pair with the wine your drinking which is neat and the staff is generally pleasant to speak with. This is a very new; small family tasting room and grapes are outsourced from a few different areas in California to make the wine. It's a good place to taste. The wines are very good and I do recommend trying this place. In my opinion one of the better tasting wines in downtown Santa Barbara. read more

Loved the wines , nice courtyard & the friendliness & professionalism Courtney showed us .

Great wines, friendly service, nice space. My favorites are the Chardonnay and the GSM, surprisingly. I sometimes do the tasting and sometimes just get a glass. I'm lucky in that this place is near our office, so we sometimes close out the day there and it's great. Cheese shop is next door for some gourmet treats. read more

I sincerely cannot say enough good things about Frequency. We have visited here two times while vacationing in Santa Barbara. Bailey was an amazing hostess during both visits. She took us through the wines, was extremely friendly, and even suggested restaurants and bars for us to visit while we stayed in the area which was mich appreciated! In addition to excellent service, the wines are delicious and well priced. We joined the wine club and cannot wait to visit again!! read more
