I am glad my cousin brought us here. The service was great, the decor felt like you were eating in a cute home, and the food was amazing. According to the server, the menu rotates dishes. So there wasn't a French toast option when we went. The dirty fries are a must and the orange juice is freshly squeezed! Everyone enjoyed it here.

Searching for a nice, quiet, pleasant surroundings to relax and have breakfast? Well, I recommend making Scarlett Begonia the place. Welcoming friendly staff; warm home like atmosphere. It's like having breakfast in your own house but with the added luxury of someone serving you perfectly done breakfast. We were just passing time waiting for our car service to be finished. Erin our server was the best. Friendly, efficient and did not rush us; we were allowed to just chill and enjoy. The Restaurant is roomy with plenty of space and areas to sit and relax. Good space for small or larger groups. The price point is a little on the higher end but the quality of the food matches the price. We did not have any bakery items, but I am told they are "a must " to share and enjoy.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Cute spot with delicious breakfasts. This place came up with high marks so the hubby and I decided to stop for breakfast here on our way out of town. The reviews didn't steer us wrong; we thought it was really great. The atmosphere was homey but refined--no greasy spoon, this. They had a fair amount of vegetarian items, which we appreciated. We couldn't resist getting a cinnamon roll, which was enormous and delicious! Went really well with their good strong coffee. I got the Avocado Toast, which had a LOT of avocado, with a little bit of arugula. It was very simple--just what I wanted. The hubby enjoyed his soft scrambled eggs, which came with creamed spinach, Gouda, and roasted fingerling potatoes, in a pool of creamy sauce. The homemade jam which came with his side of sourdough toast was excellent. Service was friendly but a little slow, but they were pretty busy. I can understand why they're popular! Would definitely visit again at the next opportunity.

Hurry up QUICK and get to Scarlett Begonia.... This is by far the best Restaurant I've eaten at in a long time here in Santa Barabra. Vivian was such a sweet, fun, kind, and bubbly Waitress. She made us feel like we were right at HOME. Thank you Viv!!!! The food was A-MAZING! I had the Shrimp and Grits and my husband had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes.. The Bacon and Biscuits were GREAT! The restaurant is a hidden gem off State Street here in Santa Barabra. I telling you it won't disappoint.

Came here on a pouring rainy day after New Year and was seated right away. The day before when it was all sunshine, there was a line forming during the afternoon. So come early to avoid the line. The inside was cute, precious and warming. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. First time here, and will definitely come back on my next visit to Santa Barbara.

I've loved Scarlett Begonia since their old location in Victoria Court, so yes, I'm a longtime brunch loyalist. Walk-in friendly, but I'm a reservation kinda gal. Brunch waits are just not my thing. The ambience is a big part of why I keep coming back. It's cozy, charming, and effortlessly Santa Barbara without trying too hard. They have two patios, one out front and another tucked away in the back. Both are bright and relaxed, perfect for slow mornings and people-watching. Inside feels warm, airy, and comfortable even when it's full. It works just as well for a casual catch-up as it does for a proper sit-down brunch. I honestly don't know what the negative reviews are about because I sure haven't run into that experience here. Not once. Maybe some folks just need to lighten up and order a mimosa. I stick to what I love and I don't mess around. The lemon ricotta pancakes with fresh blueberry compote, housemade syrup, and a side of bacon are my go-to every single time. Perfectly fluffy, balanced, and consistently delicious. When something works, I keep ordering it. Weekends are busy and if you've ever worked brunch service, you already know it's the worst. Speaking as a former server, patience goes a long way and the staff here handles it well. Bonus points for the pup menu because that's always a win. Scarlett Begonia remains a solid Santa Barbara brunch staple that I keep coming back to.

Can I just say this is one of my all time favorite brunch spots in California!! Super friendly and attentive waitress! The food was so fresh and so flavorful. I melted on the inside when I had the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote. The best pancakes I have ever had. And will keep dreaming about them everyday again until I visit Santa Barbara.

Great spot for breakfast/ brunch in Santa Barbara. As everything on State street is very expensive at least their food offers memorable food flavors! I loved lemon pancakes! Also their breakfast sandwich was on spot! Cortado was made to perfection! This places get crowded fast so come early or wait a line! Ambiance is ok, and it didn't matter because meals are dope!

Great food. Great service and cozy environment. Highly recommended. I had the salmon Benedict and it was outstanding. Do yourself a favor and try this place.

Scarlet Begonia is a must in Santa Barbara! The atmosphere is amazing -- vibrant yet cozy -- and our waitress was absolutely wonderful. The food? Next level. The homemade biscuit with butter & jam is heavenly, the mocha latte with Baileys (house‑made!) was perfection, and the green chilaquiles rancheros with shrimp, pancakes, and salmon Benedict were all out of this world. Everything is fresh, farm‑to‑table, and made with so much care. One of the best brunch spots I've ever been to -- I can't wait to come back!

Great service from Erin! We were visiting from out of town and had a pleasant birthday brunch! The biscuits for the benedicts were perfect! We also ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes to share and our server offered to refill the amazing blueberry compote so that every bite of fluffy pancake had blueberries on it. The restaurant also generously provided a slice of chocolate ganache cake as we were celebrating a birthday! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Food The value of the food is great and the portion sizes are HUGE. I suggest going here only with a big party. I think everything but the kids menu items should be shared. Food is pretty good. Cinnamon roll was delicious but huge. Service Food came out very fast. Server was nice. Ambiance Nice cozy ambiance.

My neighbor invited me to have lunch with her for my birthday. She named a few places near us, but I picked I Scarlet Begonia because the food is consistently delicious, well-presented, and always satisfying. My friend ordered the Benedict and I told her that I've never seen a Benedict with greens, which is the extra step that Scarlett begonia takes to make their food extraordinary vs. ordinary. The potatoes were well prepared and there was so much food that she had to take half of it home. It was quite beautiful as you see in the picture and very tasty. I've eaten here a few times and once I tasted their lemon ricotta pancakes it is my go to Every time. Even though it was 1 o'clock in the afternoon, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to eat these fluffy and moist pancakes that are so light they melt in your mouth! I usually can only eat one pancake, but they were so good I had to eat two, so I indulged. I also ordered the sausage links for the first time and asked for them well done and they came out. Perfect! I needed the extra protein and I already had bacon at home so wanted something different. Those sausages were just delicious and a perfect compliment to the sweet blueberry sauce on the pancakes. Kaylee was our server and she was the most professional, accommodating, friendly, efficient server I've ever encountered in Santa Barbara. I asked her if she was a manager because her demeanor and professionalism was outstanding ask for her he won't be sorry. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought my chocolate cake with strawberries and a candle. I still have some in my refrigerator because I was so full from breakfast. I'm going to save it later during the football game. !

There's no sign. I drove by several times and parked, determined to find it. It was next to Lama Dog. I ordered at the window from a very friendly and efficient staff member. I found a nice bar-height communal table inside a super cool restored warehouse with awesome indie music jamming, also surrounded by big screens and sporting events. I ordered a bottled Arnold Palmer from the bar, not realizing the bottled drinks are self-serve. Nevertheless, the bartender kindly got it for me along with a glass of ice. Now here's the best part: the very best Turkey Burger I have ever had--way better than any take-out before. It's topped with garlic aioli, avocado, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and crispy skinny onion rings, just perfect. I also ordered the fries with truffle and Parmesan--absolutely delicious, though a bit too flavorful, which overshadowed the turkey burger's flavor. I've tried both sweet and regular potato fries here, and they are excellent too. This place really hits the spot. Can't wait to come back.

It was $25 for the Lobster mac & cheese, which I would've been more open to with a bit more fish in the dish. Plus, when I go to grab a beer, I'm not necessarily wanting to pay $20+ for a burger without fries. That being said, it's still a good spot to grab some food while drinking a beer at Lama Dog.

First, Finch & Fork is essentially just the restaurant inside the Kimpton Canary Hotel. What I mean is that it's not a restaurant that happens to be inside of hotel property (think Caruso's). It's just where you eat as a hotel guest that is hungry for brunch. We had an 11:00 AM reservation, which I believe was the earliest brunch seating. The hotel lobby was packed and chaotic when we arrived. We checked in and sat down to wait, but while we were waiting, multiple other parties of two who checked in after us were seated first. Not a huge issue on its own, but not a great start. The Mother's Day brunch itself consisted of a buffet plus an entrée selection. The buffet had three main sections: seafood (oysters, shrimp, tuna poke), salads, and miscellaneous bites and desserts like deviled eggs, Italian wedding soup, and macarons. Honestly, the buffet felt more like cocktail hour appetizers at a wedding than a true luxury brunch spread. The entrées were fine. The service was fine. Nothing was bad, but nothing felt memorable or special either. The atmosphere was also extremely loud...noticeably so. What really dropped the rating for me was the value. For two people with no alcohol (just iced tea), the total came out to $264.60. That price was honestly shocking for what was offered. Nothing about the food, service, or atmosphere justified that kind of cost. As we were leaving, we noticed a Photo Booth setup and a bouquet-making station across the lobby. No one had mentioned either of these to us, and the bouquet station appeared unattended, so we weren't even sure whether it was included or an extra charge. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially because this was meant to be a special Mother's Day outing for my mom. If you're just looking for a casual hotel brunch/lunch/dinner, it's perfectly fine. But for a holiday brunch at this price point, I expected something much more polished, elevated, and memorable.

The restaurant was busy. Our server was great. She introduced herself (Giana I believe she said) and helped us understand that the intent of the menu and dining approach is a sharing format. The plates and portion sizes vary depending upon the item. Cocktails: The Lark has a very interesting (in a good way) cocktail menu. Our party tried 5 different cocktails. Everyone loved their drink and commented on how well made they were. Food: The restaurant provides complimentary dill pickle popcorn (10/5) as a snack to get your appetite moving. This unique popcorn flavor was one of the best things I had all night. Everyone in our party agreed. We ordered 40% of the menu. The standouts were the fried chicken (5/5), the duck confit (5/5), and the pork ribs (4/5). Dessert: The chocolate pot-a-crème with banana cream (5/5) and donut holes (5/5) were both very tasty. We had a real good experience at the Lark. My only comment as a first timer was gauging how much food to order. We found the menu items in the Farm and Ranch sections were entree sized plates, while the Ocean section plates varied in size considerably. We consequently over ordered and wasted some food. Although our server Giana was helpful, we could have asked more specific questions to assess the quantity of food better. We enjoyed the restaurant vibe, cocktail program and many of the plates. If I lived in SB, I would have dinner here every other month and enjoy the dill pickle popcorn and the fried chicken with their signature Paloma to wash it all down.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire experience. We were looking for a laid-back and unique venue, and Brass Bear absolutely delivered. From start to finish, the team (especially Emily!) went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The space itself is welcoming and full of character, while also feeling elevated and thoughtfully designed. We actually saved a lot on decor because the venue was already so beautiful on its own. The top things that really set Brass Bear apart (aside from the space itself) were the staff and the food/drinks. The staff -- Every single person we worked with was kind, responsive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly and that it was truly the party of our dreams. They were incredibly accommodating, handled logistics seamlessly, and anticipated needs before we even had to ask. It honestly felt like they cared about our wedding just as much as we did. Also throughout the evening, on their own, the amazing staff checked in on me and the groom, seeing if we wanted a drink refill or a cup of water. The food-- Hands down the best menu we sampled while choosing a reception venue. We wanted a place that would have a spread guests would talk about long after the event, and for months afterward our friends and family were still bringing up the tri-tip and how good everything tasted. Not only was the main food insanely delicious, the welcome charcuterie table was put together beautifully with so many options. The drinks -- The open bar was fantastic! Brass Bear offered a great variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks as part of their open bar, the flow of guests being served at multiple bar stations stayed steady all evening with no bottlenecks, and they even helped me create a custom cocktail to match my purple hair. I also probably emailed (literally) a thousand questions throughout the planning process, and every single one was met with a kind, thoroughly explained answer, or a "let's see if we can make that work!" response, which made the planning feel like a breeze and really fun. If you're considering Brass Bear Brewery for a wedding, celebration, or any special event, do not hesitate. They helped create memories we'll treasure forever, and we are SO grateful we chose them. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

Very cheesy and the basil is a good addition! Would definitely want to try something else on the menu next time!
