They installed our pool pump after purchasing it during one of their sales. Did a quality job installing. Would have been nice to leave us with some sort of instructions, instead of just telling us that it's running at the manufacturer preset settings. We were told that there are plenty of videos on YouTube, and then the installer left. He would have earned a larger tip if he dedicated more time to providing excellent customer service. $1400 on a pool pump with no provided instructions, yikes! Customers remember to check for manufacturer warranties and register your products immediately if purchasing equipment from them. We were not informed about warranties during purchase/ installation. Got an estimate from Pool Magician and another pool company to replace the housing on our pool pump. Pool Magican was 30 dollars higher but since we have used them before, we decided to use them again. When they came out to replace the housing, we were told that it was going to be another 130 dollars because the estimate did not include the cover for the housing. I told them that we used their estimate to compare another pool company's estimate. We would have never used Pool Magician if we knew there was going to be an extra. This was not our fault that the estimate was wrong. This did not matter and they charged us an extra. They should have included the cover in the estimate. We assumed their estimate was all inclusive. We would have never used Pool Magician if we knew their estimate was wrong. Also technician never connected the ground wire to the motor and never communicated with me that the work was done. I connected the ground wire myself. Pool pump is now working. read more

My backwash seized up and I'd had enough of it. William switched us to a Mutli-Pot valve to save us the woes of the dreaded backwash piston. We also got a Variable Speed pump and all new plumbing. No more stress when its time to backwash! William and the team were on time, worked quickly and did an amazing job. It worked great for several days and died again (not thier fault) and they came again very promptly. New problem, they were able to fix it, no problem and again at a very reasonable price. Have been struggling with The Pool Magician company for a few years now (only Tec that has been on point was Clint who is now not cleaning pools). Pool goes green within days of being serviced (mind you I'm paying over 200 a month). Back wash hoses have been left out numerous times and have blown in and now I have to get my vacuum repaired from the hose being sucked up into it. The pool is not being netted out and looks as dirty when they leave as when they showed up. Pics below are 5 min after the tec left, leaving the backwash house out once again and this time backwashing it into my houses foundation (mind you the ally is right next to the pool equipment). I lasted 2 months with the Pool Magician. My pool was never clean. They took my Polaris to fix it, charged me $140 and put back in pool, but never checked to see if it worked. It didn't move at all...later found out that the water to the pump was shut off and so pump was running dry and sweeper would not work. I approved all repairs PM suggested but my pool was still dirty. I requested the owner (William) come to see the pool. He set an appt to come out and I worked from home so I could meet him. He did not show. I called to see where he was and he apologized and asked if he could come the next morning...then No Showed again! I would absolutely avoid this company. Started out ok until everyone on our circuits pools went green. Prices were reasonable but then almost doubles and they said it was for chemicals and everyone had to increase their prices. We still had to use our own chlorine and I am not sure what other 60 dollars of chemicals they use when no one really showed up to do anything. It is unfortunate. After such a great transaction using the Pool Magician for cleaning services last year, we decided to use them again this Spring to assist with a drain & fill, replacing some O-rings, flipping out our years-old filters, and replacing some sun-broken Jandy valves. We had used another pool company in prior years when it came to the "heavy lifting" projects, but over time their customer service deteriorated to the point we could not justify trusting them any longer. The Pool Magician team was with us the entire way in mapping out a budget, setting up a schedule, coordinating efforts between different people (before, during, and after the work); all while maintaining a constant flow of communication via phone, text, & email (and never once being late or having to reschedule during a promised window). We did hit some snags when it came to water balancing towards the end. I only bring this up to demonstrate how sometimes what separates good customer service from great is when a company continues working with you on the follow through and doesn't leave you hanging just because money has changed hands (or a project has technically been completed). After a site visit was told it would be a few days before a quote and design would come through for my new pool build. After a couple of weeks I followed up and was told by the end of the week I'd have it. I followed up again after the end of the week had come and gone and never heard back. I have an above ground spa that was not responding to instructions from the panel and appeared to have a leak. After calling seven spa/pool repair businesses, one returned my call only to say "no thanks". My eighth try was to The Pool Magician and Frank arrived the next day. Though busy with other jobs, he repaired the panel that day. He returned later in the week to drain the spa and investigate the leak, which wasn't really a leak. I was a client for more than 5 years. 2018 has been a very poor experience. I have had to call them every month this year due to no-shows, unannounced schedule changes, a sketchy technician showing up after 5 pm, poor service, etc.... They said it would take a day maybe two? Well it took them 2 weeks because they'd give you the 3 hour window he'd be coming and didn't show up 2 times, no phone call, I missed two days of work. Going through divorce and the X hired him and was to pay him, and he put me in collections because we didn't agree with his original bid and he knew my x was to pay him.
