Communication with Cody to determine services offered and monthly cost were clear and consistent. We agreed on terms and I was pleased to be provided with written terms of service that were thorough and easy to understand. Daniel arrived to perform the service and he was professional and listened to all my questions and expectations. I walked away feeling heard and understood, while also knowing was he was going to do every visit. It's just been one service, but so far I'm very pleased with how things are going. read more

What an amazing company. It's been very difficult for us to find a reputable pool company that I can rely on; especially living in the PNW and I rent my house out in Arizona. Cody was always good with communication and takes pride in his work. Quality has been amazing. I have had such great experience with them that I will continue to use them for cleaning.... what an amazing job. So grateful for them and their work. read more

I have an older pool which came with the house. Have had several major problems, all of which were handled well and quickly by Desert Diamond. Have used this company for over two years, and they are always quick to repond to my problems. Cody is always available for suggestions, advice or helping with whatever is wrong, and how it can be remedied. Good company, best I've had over about 20 years of needing pool service. Daniel is the person who has kept my pool in good condition, along with Omar. read more

Excellent communication and service all the way around. Omar was the Technician who worked on my Pool and Cody took care of the scheduling, getting me estimates and getting back to me when I had questions and billing. They were very accommodating as I had a few issues outside of the initial Sand Change that needed to be addressed. I had a PVC leak and a cracked Valve on the filter. Both were replaced. I'm planning on using them again this fall. Great local business. My Pool is ready for the hot summer season thanks to Desert Diamond Pools. read more

They have been doing weekly maintenance on my pool for over a year now and I'm extremely happy with them. If something on my old equipment malfunctions they are quick to replace what needs to be done. Cody is especially patient (I'm a little old lady who has been ripped off a few times) when I question why I need something done. He will very clearly explain it to me until I understand. They are honest, trustworthy and do a great job! Highly recommend!! read more

My pool just turned 5 years old which of course means somethings going to break. One of the 6 Port Valve housing was leaking around the clamp. I replaced the O-Ring, and it was still leaking. That's when I decided it was time to call out a professional assuming there was a crack in the housing although I could not see it. I have not had to have my pool serviced in the past, so I looked for some local pool service companies close to my area. I found Desert Diamond, reached out via email to explain what was going on, and if they worked on issues like this. Cody responded within 5 minutes of hitting the send button. That alone was a huge positive to me. I appreciate when companies are responsive and realize my time is valuable as well. Cody scheduled someone to come out the next day, but then Omar showed up at my door a few hours later explaining he had some cancellations so was able to swing by and take a look that day. He saw a hairline crack at the top of the bottom module. This of course meant the module base had to be cut off, and replaced. Omar came back the next day, cut off the base and replaced it. He explained what he was doing which I appreciated. After starting the filter back up, no leaks. I would use DesertDiamondPools again in the future. read more

Recently our pool person went MIA and we were unable to get ahold of him. We had not had our pool serviced for over a month. I got in touch with Desert Diamond and corresponded with Cody. He was very responsive, even when I was texting him on a Sunday, and scheduled Daniel to come out and service our pool. We received a detailed report on the pool's health right as Daniel was finishing up his work. It turned out that our regular guy was in the hospital with a serious illness. I told Cody that we would like to continue with our regular guy, and Cody was very empathetic and flexible. Desert Diamond does not have monthly or yearly contacts so they billed me for only the one time pool service. If anything happens with our regular pool person, I will not hesitate to call on them again. I appreciate Cody's flexibility, willingness to fit us in to a busy schedule, and understanding of our situation. By the way, they got our pool looking great in time for our regular guy to return. Thank you Desert Diamond. read more

I have been using Desert Diamond for years. They have always done a thorough job. They let me know when I need repairs on equipment and give me multiple options, even when their price is not the cheapest. The owner, Cody, has always responded right away when I have had questions. I have used a few companies over the decades, and I shop around. Desert Diamond is a diamond in the rough. read more

I threw out a project to receive bids on and Desert Diamond Pools responded right away. Not only was their quote fairly priced, they were the only company that were honest and immediately pointed out some of the risks involved with completing my project in this hot weather. Cody was very responsive and they completed the job in a timely manner. I am attempting to maintain my pool myself but if I go back to using a pool company, Desert Diamond will be my first choice. 5/26/22: UPDATE! Contact made! Excellent conversation with Cody. We're on the same page regarding service. They start next week! I'll submit another review after a while. === Same experience as Lane D. 5/24/22: Phoned - mailbox full. Per Cody direction sent a text (yes, I've verified the correct number was used for all attempted contacts, and I still have them to prove it). No response to text. 5/25: Submitted a request for quote via Yelp. No response as yet (Yelp says 95% response in ten minutes - not my experience). 5/25: Called again - mailbox still full. In the world of everyone gouging prices while getting less service these guys and gals are very refreshing. The Cliff/Hanes household has been using Desert Diamond for at least 5 years now and they are amazing! The quality of service is what we expect and the friendliness of EVERY tech we have had has been awesome. They don't just tell you you need to fix something to get more work. It's the opposite. I've been told what to do if I want to save a cpl bucks here and there and appreciate the transparency and honesty. I would recommend them to anyone looking for new service or to switch current service. A+ read more

Had some issues with scheduling but I guess they are worried out now. Thanks for great service yesterday!

A few weeks after my husband of 31 years passed, I had an algae bloom in my pool and had no clue what to do or who to contact. Based on yelp reviews I called Desert Diamond Pools. Cody was very responsive and told me what to do until someone could get out to the house. Daniel came out straightened out the chemicals and has been maintaining it weekly since then. My pool is crystal clear, glistening and more important to me is knowing if I ever have an unexpected issue arise, I can call them and it will get taken care of!! read more

This is a fantastic company!! Cody has always responded to my questions even though sometimes they are strange questions!!! I'm helping my dad with managing the service and I have never cared for a pool so I appreciate the information and treating me with respect (note above: strange questions!!). Cody has always been super professional and informative! The crew is also very helpful with me and just as kind and professional. I really have no worries at all about them caring for our pool. After each visit I get a write-up on the work performed and even a photo! How cool is that!!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend them. read more

I phoned Desert Diamond Pools twice, but each time it went to voice mail telling me to contact Cody via a text. I sent my text containing plenty of information over a week ago, but to date I have not heard anything back, not even a text confirmation. My request was for my pool to be emptied, acid washed and perhaps it may need some minor cosmetic repairs, and then refilling and balancing the chemicals. I was also looking for a regular weekly full service maintenance. But as I mentioned above no response, I am sure there could be 101 things going on with this company at the moment, but surely good manners would at least be to acknowledge my text Update Cody has immediately contacted me, I must have got lost in the mail or something. Thanks Cody! read more

We Ended up being outside of their service area unfortunately, however, he was very helpful and responsive during our communications.

I've used other companies in the past, but not one compares to desert diamond and Cody the owner. I've never waited more than a 1/2 hour for him to respond to my texts and never waited more than a day or two for my non emergency service calls. He has saved me money more than once with his knowledge of different products relative to my equipment. I've never felt he was over charging or over priced. Will always use and recommend desert diamond pool service. read more

This pool company let my pool turn green TWICE. The first time we chalked it up to a fluke. The company put in an external pump and seemed to "fix it." Two months later it happened again. I ended up with a large bill to get it back to normal since it required chemicals and lots of attention. This company provided conflicting information from multiple other pool companies I talked to. They blamed my equipment. It's now been over a year with a different company, same equipment and no green pools. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company. read more

Bad pool maintenance experience - STAY AWAY. Bottom line: Unless your pool requires basically zero service (lazy service), Desert Diamond is NOT the company for you - RUN AWAY. Our prior company had been cleaning our pool for 6+ years, and was a delight to work. The pool was always clean. When issues came up, they were promptly and professionally addressed. Over the years, the monthly rate went up a bit ($10/month or so, each year), and the service did not include chemicals. A friend of mine, who uses Desert Diamond, refereed me. He spoke highly of them mentioning Desert Diamond included all chemicals, and at the rate of $100 a month, was less than I was currently paying, if I were to factor in the cost of chemicals. I decided to give Desert Diamond a try. What a mistake. I started off by mentioning to Desert Diamond how my pool can be difficult to maintain. My yard is heavily covered with trees which drop pine needles in the pool. If left unchecked, the pool can quickly get out of control. Desert Diamond began by making a visit to assess the pool. They determined a pool cleaner would be required so they could service the pool. When I asked what chemicals were included I was given a very vague answer "all standard chemicals" - I tried to get a better answer, but couldn't get one - they seemed like they were avoiding the question. As for the pool robot requirement: 1) I had one 2) They used to provide them for free (so I was told) 3) That's sort of their job - to clean the pool, not leave it to a robot. I deployed the robot, and left running while Desert Diamond "cared" for the pool. Mind you, I never needed a robot with my old guy. Shortly after Desert Diamond's first service, my pool water started looking whiteish. I figured perhaps they were using different chemicals or cleaning more aggressively or something, and didn't think too much of it. Knowing my pool can be difficult, I figured they would sort out some of the challenges, and everything would be OK. Here is what a weekly service looked like from Desert Diamond: 1) loose your gate key and skip service 2) be given a new key 3) show up with a random different tech each week, at a random time 4) throw a bag of shock into the pool 5) maybe brush part of the sides, but miss half of the pool at least 6) never vacuum (remember, you have a robot for that) 7) *maybe* empty your filter basket 8) leave with the pool looking worse than when they started I let this go on for a while. Then the pool started to turn green. I let another week go by. Then the tech that showed up "cleaned" the pool, and the water was even worse. I then emailed Cody. I found Cody rude, unprofessional, and clearly didn't value a customer. He was focused on how a green pool is unavoidable at times. A couple more services go by. The same sloppy tech (Kim) continues to make visits. Eventually, Kim shows up, and her notes are pretty comical. She saw a spider, so decided not to clean the skimmer that day (oh yeah, it was full by the way). While brushing the sides, Kim knocked the pool light, and left it dangling by it's wires. She made no note of this - probably because it was hard to see - the water was so murky you couldn't see more than a few inches easily. It was pretty appalling. I emailed Cody again. His response was yet again, rude and defensive of their sloppy service. This is reoccurring - endless excuses. I get it, their pool tech, Kim perhaps is scared of spiders, but spiders also come with the job. Splash some water at it? Use common sense? Don't leave a skimmer overflowing with leaves? How was this so hard? Why did no one at this company notice the water continuing to deteriorate, and their only solution was to throw 1-2 bags of shock in the pool - that's it. No, they will not check phosphate levels, and even if they did, they won't correct for them. You're paying for a man to dump a bag of shock, and that's about it. Not once in their time servicing the pool did they even backwash. Cody said it wasn't necessary until the filter gauge said so, so they don't. Uhuha. The old guy did it every week, with better results, Hurm. After Cody's last response, I was so done. My pool looked terrible, the water was scummy. I left a note requesting the gate key back, and they dropped that off. In summary: Pros: They use an online tracking tool to manage their sloppy techs. You'll get emailed a worthless photo of your photo, and a report telling you how little the tech did. Chemicals can be included, but to Desert Diamond, chemicals appear to be limited to 1-2 bags of shock a week- nothing else. You can pay online Cons: Poor, ineffective service Damage to your pool Indirect communication Will loose your key Rude service Will leave your pool dirty Will explain to you why nothing is their fault Will ignore issues with the water Will do less than the bare minimum every visit without fail Will excuse their poor workmanship by blaming your 'old pool' RUN away. read more

I was looking for a company to come drain and refill my pool for the summer as well as check the electrical in regards to my LED pool light not turning on. This company was very responsive and was able to help and was most IMPORTANTLY HONEST! I had 3 other pool companies tell me that because my pool was using so much chlorine I should acid wash it even though it's brand new with pebble tech. This company told me that that would be a bad idea and it can mess up the integrity of the pool and a basic drain should be sufficient and also told me with my lights being LED that because it was so new that I shouldn't have to replace the LED light that it's probably the breaker or wiring. This was before I even had an appointment set and well after three different companies telling me it was the light and trying to charge me $100s just to replace a light that didn't need it, that's not even including the high cost of LED PARTS. I checked the breaker and what he mentioned could possibly be the problem before he even came out and it was the breaker so that right there tells me this company is stand up and HONEST! I unfortunately went with another company due to timing and schedules, but I would definitely recommend this company and use them in a heartbeat for any other service needs!!! read more

UPDATE once again- As I feel this is becoming more and more of an attack against me and feel the need that I must continue to repost and reply to better protect the honest claim I have made against this "company" in DM between me and Cody I clearly admitted to saying I myself had called personally with pictures of a pool that was NOT MY OWN so I can better understand the pricing that was received for my own personal pool and got pretty much the same BS pricing that was quoted on yes a dirtier pool but as I also stated in the dms that I was trying to understand why the quote was so high and why he went out of his way to PUSH other services that myself and the other person I had call was receiving as I did not understand why so much need to go into this I also told Cody that I had referred a friend of mine to him as well as we were both looking for a company at the same time and he also received a similar quote but said he wasn't interested in any labor at all as he would take care of it himself and wanted chemicals only but was told it was not possible that the water had to be drained blah blah but had told Cody the water was only 2 months old with chemicals in it from the beginning and didn't understand why he had to refill the pool, if yelp is such a good platform for people to voice their OPINIONS and own personal EXPERIENCES with companies I don't know why you would go so far out of your way to disregard something that took place over texts, and phone calls by a total of THREE people you are clearly offended at the fact that I called you out on a public forum for what you did as I have said and proved with texts you were trying to take advantage on more than one occasion if need be I'll have my friend leave a review with his experience with Cody as I feel like a 3rd person would better resolve this situation as I am just trying to help people out that there is more HONEST companies out there who do not try these tactics to profit but look for long term relationships with there customers, a bad review is something to help the PUBLIC and the company itself to fix problems that they might not see themselves so they can improve but it seems as though Cody does not want that growth you are just another snake trying to take advantage when and where he can and that is why I left the review I did. Quick update- I did deal with you directly on the phone it was on 5/2/19 between 12pm-2pm you have verizon I know this because of calling you and getting a voice mail I have texted from calling I will past some as proof.
