I am writing this review for James from Excellent Pool Service because he came to my home to fix someone else's crappy work and install a new pump that I had purchased from another pool service guy back in September. The other guy ghosted me and never installed it. Even though James doesn't service my area, he came to my home as a favor to help make things right with my pool equipment. I'm so happy James agreed to come by. James worked fast, efficiently, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly. He installed the new pool pump, fixed the previous piping, and even painted everything so it looked nice. His fees were reasonable, he explained everything to me, and since he doesn't service my area he provided a recommendation for someone he trusts that can provide regular service and future repairs. I cannot thank James enough for his extensive knowledge and professional service. I feel relieved that I finally got an installation/repair worthy of a positive review. I highly recommend James at Excellent Pool Service to anyone who needs repairs. My pool pump area looks so much better because it was repaired by a true professional who actually cares about his work, his reputation, and the reputation of the pool industry as a whole. The pool industry needs major work in repairing its reputation because of people who do terrible work and those who take advantage of people like me who do not have a lot of knowledge about their pools, but James gave me hope that this industry does have really good people who care about doing what is right. They asked me to send a couple of pictures and answer a few questions, then provided quotes for both repair and replacement options. I also did some research on the company and found out they are licensed, bonded, and insured, which gave me peace of mind. Their pricing was also very reasonable compared to other quotes we received. In the end, we decided to replace the pool pump. Chris explained the quote and options, Robyn handled the scheduling and payment process, and Michael came out for the installation. I had Aqua Harmony Drain and Acid Wash my pool today (April 10, 2026). We have a PebbleTec finish…read morewith blue and green pebbles. After a few years, the pebble colors tend to fade out due to hard water deposits. After the Acid Wash I could see the pebbles looking colorful and shiny again. Aqua Harmony was great from the initial call to schedule, and workmen were right on time (for draining yesterday) and the acid cleaning today. The technician that did the cleaning today was Zack. He is a very polite individual and consciences about his work. He made sure I was happy with everything before he packed up his equipment. Then I called Joe in the office to inquire about how I am supposed to pay. Joe was very helpful during the initial call to get the work scheduled. And he was very helpful today, and asked me more than a couple of times if I was happy with all of the work. They truly want to do a good job and want to make sure the customers are happy. The next time I need to acid wash, or need any equipment repairs, I won't hesitate to call them for help. I am very happy with their work and with the quality of their employees. And I would gladly recommend them to any family and friends that need any work done on their pool.

I was able to send some pictures of our system so they had an idea of what we have prior to the appointment as well, which I thought was awesome. The pool tech who came out was as knowledgeable and really nice. He explained what he was doing and what he thought the issue was with our filter. He gave us some options, and even found a cheaper price on the part we needed, and went and got it to bring back to fix our filter. He came right back, got everything switched out and then showed us what to do. We got a follow up message a couple days later making sure everything was working great, which is was (and still is)! That said, I don't know if it is the lack of consideration and budget from the HOA or the lack of particular expertise and knowledge of the on-site technicians -- but our pool has gone from crystal clear blue to green algae bloom toxicity. The technicians have been asked on-site to scrub and vacuum - -and we were told, that's not my job. So I guess in our case, the pool is not quite so brilliant. Maricopa Environmental Services even came out and said that while the PH and chlorine are satisfactory, anyone could get sick or infected from the algae and mold that is not scrubbed. Hopefully they will do better or recommend to the HOA a better servicing. Aint NO ONE wanna get into that pool....look at the photos. Hopefully Brilliant Pools can help make our pool brilliant again. The pump had failed two weeks prior, and my replacement was still out on a scenic tour of Route 66. Austin notified the scheduling dept of the en route pump and they were ready to install it when it arrived. The pump arrived at 7pm last night and by 7 am today, Raymond had it installed, he replaced the water leveler and within 30 minutes the pool was up and running. Thank you Raymond !!! And Thank you Austin!!! My pool is looking good once again. So incredibly glad that I called. Two weeks into my contract and my pool has received professional care. Do I recommend Brilliant Pools???? You bet!!!!
