With great up-front communication and skilled, respectful, technicians, Barefoot Pools, the company and its people, gave us a phenominal experience throughout our pool remodel, living up to the excellent reviews we read before hiring them. They replaced our aged-out pool surface from plaster to micro pebble which included treating the concrete and adding a curative to the pebble mix. They installed hand-set iridescent step markers and new directionals, an aerator fitting, safety drain covers, a hand rail and new tile at the water line. It was quite the project and they did it within the projected timeline. Jessica pleasantly took our original call, setting the tone at the beginning and arranged sales rep Brandon to come to the house. He truly embodies the Business Development Ninja title on his business card. He impressed us with his demeaner, transparency and thoroughness at our initial meeting and in their showroom/design center where we chose our colors from plenty of options for the new surface, tiles, handrail and step markers. Project Manager Shawn updated us nearly daily on what to expect and when. As busy as he was, he promptly answered our questions and concerns in detail with good humor and respect and kept everything on schedule which transpired as he described. Massive respect to Zach & Richard & Juan and everyone in the chip-out, tile & surface install crews who each worked diligently throughout the unseasonably hot days. Afterwards, Chad gave a helpful orientation on caring for our pool and its new surface and surprised us with some thoughtful gifts. When it's time to tackle the decking or replacing equipment, we'll be calling Barefoot. We've already called for monthly pool service and look forward to meeting our pool tech Britney who will no doubt impress us as well. They weren't the cheapest of the quotes we took, but we definitely believe they were the best. Highly recommend! I write my share of good and bad reviews from time to time, but I have to say that Barefoot Pools is an amazing company! I recently had Barefoot Pools install travertine stone on my pool decking and patio. My faux water feature was also refurbished and every step of the way was seamless. Jose has a crew of fellows that are artists. Laying and cutting tiles, arranging a pool fascia and the beautiful waterfall paint can only be described in an artistic manner. I am so impressed with their work. Also, Jose is an excellent communicator. I am pretty exacting about things and every question I had was met with a prompt, kind and easygoing response. I never felt like I was being a bother and his knowledge about drainage, products, etc. was spot on. We recently this month had our pool drained and Keith our power wash guy did a fantastic caring focused job on cleaning it. Could not be happier with how our pool resurfacing turned out. Our pool was painted white when we bought the house and the paint was coming off, so we had Barefoot Pools come in to resurface with pebble tech and it looks like a brand new pool! Brandon helped us put together a quote and was incredibly helpful with what we wanted included and didn't try and push any unnecessary upgrades on us. We remodeled our backyard with Barefoot pools and are happy with the decision. Our pebble tech pool was due for a re-surface and the cool decking was really showing its age. We got travertine tile all around our pool and patio with a new pool surface / tiles / the works. It was a really big investment so I spent a lot of time getting quotes, and I'm glad we went with these guys. I appreciated their showroom to look at tile combinations in person, and they gave us a competitive quote and made us feel like they really cared about our project. I could tell scheduling with them that they get a lot of business and juggle a lot of projects but never felt like we were being ignored or were not a priority. Probably why they get a lot of business. The workmanship, particularly on the travertine patio tiles was outstanding. We are so happy with it. They also did a great job of taking care of the little problems that tend to pop up after this type of project (or didn't pop-up, as it were- - - re: our popup cleaning system). They didn't bail on us until we were satisfied and came back multiple times to ensure we were working at 100%. One example; we have a fairly old spa attached to our pool and the system of jets it has is not made anymore and is apparently kind of rare. When it didn't work correctly after filling the pool, Shawn from Barefoot got a representative from the spa jet manufacturer to come to our house with him to troubleshoot and get it working properly. From the sales and planning process to each of the workers who came to complete the project, all staff was professional, timely and communication was great. First, pool guy didn't bother to fully tighten the tension bolt that on the filter housing after cleaning them. We've been so confused as to why the pool looks so terrible full of leaves and nothing in the baskets. I finally got a day off and figured out why. No seal, no suction, no water movement = NO CLEANING! The tank pressure gauge was reading low so I turned the pressure relief valve. This resulted in the world's saddest psssss and no water when it normally sprays like a fire hose. Second, they were supposed to return and setup a pool service agreement but nobody ever came back. No calls, no follow up! They charged us $300 for nothing! Who knows if he even cleaned the filters! I don't have time to take it apart since it's Christmas!!! read more
