I write my share of good and bad reviews from time to time, but I have to say that Barefoot Pools is an amazing company! I recently had Barefoot Pools install travertine stone on my pool decking and patio. My faux water feature was also refurbished and every step of the way was seamless. Jose has a crew of fellows that are artists. Laying and cutting tiles, arranging a pool fascia and the beautiful waterfall paint can only be described in an artistic manner. I am so impressed with their work. Also, Jose is an excellent communicator. I am pretty exacting about things and every question I had was met with a prompt, kind and easygoing response. I never felt like I was being a bother and his knowledge about drainage, products, etc. was spot on. Even when the job was finished and Chad came out to make sure everything was looking good and to my satisfaction, I was again impressed. Chad knew the answer to every question I had and answered with confidence. I put this project off for 10 years, but I am so glad I found Barefoot Pools. Trust me, you cannot go wrong with these guys! read more

I recently contracted Barefoot Pools to remodel my pool, which included draining the pool, chip out of the old surface, new tile, pebble tec surface and start up. Workmanship was perfect. Communication was excellent. Thank you to all of the employees, and special thanks to Shawn and Chad. I am very happy. I recommend. read more

The service personnel showed up on time and did quality work. They not only did the service requested but pointed out other potential problems. Such as, a pool light whose enclosure was compromised by water inside the fixture. And that the water level was set too high. We recently this month had our pool drained and Keith our power wash guy did a fantastic caring focused job on cleaning it. Not only that but he explained to me everything he was doing with patience and kindness. Had to have him come out again as I needed assistance on the timer and operations of the pump. He was so polite and once again explained everything to me. Also want to give a shout out to JACOB our usual pool guy who services the pool. Very polite focused young man. Does a good job. Had an excellent experience from start to finish. Needed to replace my salt system, and from the less-than-24-hours quote, to final installation, everything was perfect. Great communication all along the way, and of special note - Keith, the gentleman who installed the equipment, was one of the most knowledgeable people I have encountered. He knew who had built my pool without asking, and had helpful suggestions to solve issues I've been having for years that no other company has been able to solve. Highly recommended! read more

I was extremely satisfied with the remodel completed on my 26 year old pool. The bid was very detailed compared to some of the others I received. They also had good Ideas for some of my problem areas. They stuck to the proposed schedule and finished on time. If the schedule had someone coming that day they were here. The showroom provided a one stop place to review materials and discuss ideas for the remodel. I would highly recommend them for your pool project. read more

We moved to Arizona last year. As first time pool owners, it was important to us to use a pool company that could keep an eye out for problems and help us make decisions concerning our pool area. Not only have they helped with our pool but also with our decking around our pool. They have always been fairly priced and have a great staff that are easy to work with. Highly recommend! read more

We hired Barefoot Pools to resurface our 25 year old pebble-tec pool. We are very pleased with the resurfacing and the whole process. It was a team effort and everybody we worked with at Barefoot Pools was a pleasure to work with. From Brandon, Chad, Shawn, Zach and the crews who did the demo, fixes, resurfacing and getting the water chemistry set. Everyone was professional and each did a great job. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a pool resurfacing. read more

We remodeled our backyard with Barefoot pools and are happy with the decision. Our pebble tech pool was due for a re-surface and the cool decking was really showing its age. We got travertine tile all around our pool and patio with a new pool surface / tiles / the works. It was a really big investment so I spent a lot of time getting quotes, and I'm glad we went with these guys. I appreciated their showroom to look at tile combinations in person, and they gave us a competitive quote and made us feel like they really cared about our project. I could tell scheduling with them that they get a lot of business and juggle a lot of projects but never felt like we were being ignored or were not a priority. Probably why they get a lot of business. The workmanship, particularly on the travertine patio tiles was outstanding. We are so happy with it. They also did a great job of taking care of the little problems that tend to pop up after this type of project (or didn't pop-up, as it were- - - re: our popup cleaning system). They didn't bail on us until we were satisfied and came back multiple times to ensure we were working at 100%. One example; we have a fairly old spa attached to our pool and the system of jets it has is not made anymore and is apparently kind of rare. When it didn't work correctly after filling the pool, Shawn from Barefoot got a representative from the spa jet manufacturer to come to our house with him to troubleshoot and get it working properly. Very much appreciated, glad we used them for our remodel. Thanks guys! read more

We just had our entire pool redone and couldn't be happier with our experience! From the sales and planning process to each of the workers who came to complete the project, all staff was professional, timely and communication was great. A particular shout out to Josh - who accidentally broke a hummingbird feeder that was located above our spicket. He went above and beyond to order a replacement before I ever knew what happened and dropped it off a couple days later. (He did this in spite on my insistence it didn't need to be replaced.) It was an added touch that went a long way to highlighting their professional service all around. Highly recommend Barefoot to anyone considering a pool remodel. Very professional and easy to work with. Last year they drained and cleaned my pool along with replacing the filter. Today they had to replace the pump since it was over10 years old. First, pool guy didn't bother to fully tighten the tension bolt that on the filter housing after cleaning them. We've been so confused as to why the pool looks so terrible full of leaves and nothing in the baskets. I finally got a day off and figured out why. No seal, no suction, no water movement = NO CLEANING! The tank pressure gauge was reading low so I turned the pressure relief valve. This resulted in the world's saddest psssss and no water when it normally sprays like a fire hose. Second, they were supposed to return and setup a pool service agreement but nobody ever came back. No calls, no follow up! They charged us $300 for nothing! Who knows if he even cleaned the filters! I don't have time to take it apart since it's Christmas!!! read more

We recently had our pool filter cleaned by a technician named Codi, and the experience was excellent. Codi took the time to clearly explain the importance of regular equipment maintenance and walked us through the process with patience and professionalism. Even though I probably added an extra 5-10 minutes to his schedule with my questions, he never rushed and made it clear that customer service was his top priority--not just sticking to a tight route. It's thoughtful service like this, combined with fair pricing, that keeps customers coming back. Thank you, Codi! read more

Barefoot Pools redid our pool in early 2022. They did a great job preparing the pool, plastering it, installing a new filter, and a salt cell chlorine generator. However, the chlorine generator system has been a problem. The salt cell began leaking a steady stream of water. I told Barefoot and it took several weeks to get a replacement cell. Shortly afterwards that cell began leaking and was replaced with a new cell. This replacement cell now leaks. This system is unreliable and should be replaced. I am concerned that they will not do that and simply replace cells until the warranty expires. At that point I will have to pay to have a reliable system installed. This is an unpleasant experience and is why I gave them two stars instead of five. read more

Could not be happier with how our pool resurfacing turned out. Our pool was painted white when we bought the house and the paint was coming off, so we had Barefoot Pools come in to resurface with pebble tech and it looks like a brand new pool! Brandon helped us put together a quote and was incredibly helpful with what we wanted included and didn't try and push any unnecessary upgrades on us. Shawn was a great project manager and kept in constant communication with the schedules and a detailed look at what the work would entail from task to task. Zach was a great help with performing our inspections. The quality of work was fantastic for such a reasonable price. The crews were efficient, tidy, and tedious with their work. Beyond excited to show off our new pool. read more

Um, Wow!! My husband and I were honestly surprised at the timeliness and quality of our pool repair and resurfacing job done by Barefoot Pools this past month. The pleasantly surprising aspect of the entire project was the stellar communication from Shawn throughout the entire process. We thought that great customer service was a thing of the past since it's virtually impossible to even receive a call back from service companies these days, much less finding a service company that a) provides a detailed timeline of the project so we would know what and when to expect each step of the process and b) consistent calls the day before each visit to let us know that members of the team would be on-site the next day. Shocking....who does that any more??? Barefoot Pools!! Our pool was built in 1996 and had reached a point where cracks were expanding across our pool walls and across the bottom of the pool. Sections of the pebbletec had worn down and the whole pool was looking old. We bit the bullet and decided to have it completely repaired and redone. Shawn and his team helped us choose the border tiles, the top tiles, the color of the pebbletec, and the color of the step and ledge markers (which really pop and reflect sunlight!) We're not known for writing reviews, especially positive ones, but given the exceptional customer service and high quality of the results by the Barefoot Pools team, we really wanted to share such a positive experience with valley folks looking to repair and resurface their older pools. We honestly can't stay away from our pool now, even thought it's too cold to get in it. We keep looking at each other and talk about how it looks like a resort pool. Woot, woot! The attached pics don't do it justice but they at least give you a glimpse of how gorgeous our pool is now. We feel truly lucky to have chosen Barefoot Pools for this big project and highly recommend them to anyone hoping for a reasonably priced, gorgeous pool 'upgrade' with the comfort of exceptional customer service. Thank you so much to Shawn and your team! You should be very proud of how customers like us truly appreciate the dedication and hard work that you've accomplished. Kudos!! read more

Barefoot Pools has been maintaining our pool since we moved to Ahwatukee eight years ago. Yesterday I had an issue with the pool and called Barefoot to let them know. They had Trenton show up bright and early this morning to deal with the issue. He expertly took care of the issues and professionally talked me through exactly what was going on. Trenton was our weekly maintenance tech a few years ago. It would be great to have him back on our pool again!! Well done Barefoot! read more

Pool remodel looks great! Had steps lengthened and added another step on opposite end of pool along with a Baja shelf. Schedule was kept pretty much to a "T", and our project manager Shawn communicate everything that would take place. He also replied to my texts in the early evenings with any questions I had. At the end he went over how to maintain the water in detail until their weekly pool service starts to take place. Barefoot Pools had many selections to choose from as far as the finishes and tiles. Very satisfied! read more

I previously used barefoot pools for my weekly chemical maintenance when I lived in Ahwatukee but we moved out of the area and started doing the chemicals ourselves. Our pool needed to be resurfaced so I reached out to Jose and he connected me with Brandon, who remembered me from when used them and that was 2011-2017. We had them give us a quote and we set up a date for the project. Once the project began the whole was great to work with. Shawn was very detailed on the project, Jeff stopped by to check up on stuff, Zach and Donny were here managing the project and making sure everything got done. Took three weeks which was in less time estimated. My pool looks amazing now. read more

We had worked with Barefoot for pool equipment repair in the past with positive experience, so we decided to hire them for our pool remodeling and we are extremely happy with the outcome. Chad gave us very detailed explanation of what to expect and was extremely helpful with the options and selection of materials (their showroom is awesome!). Then Shawn and his team took over the project execution and everything went smoothly, on time and with great communication every step of the way. At the end Chad came back to go over all the details for us to take care of our new pool. All of that for a very reasonable price. We strongly recommend Barefoot and we will continue to use the in the future for any pool needs. read more
