Happy customer here. After some research and identifying my issue. I reached out to a few companies for a quote to replace the shaft seal on my pool pump. James replied in a timely manner and gave me a price that seemed fair for the work and was still very competitive compared to others that wanted to rob me for a 30-45 min job and some minor parts. Jason the technician gave me a heads up he was coming and did a great job with the replacement seals. Nice to see there are honest people out there doing great work at a reasonable price. read more

Really quick replies and really affordable prices. Joe is fast and friendly and knowledgeable.

They are very professional, show up as promised and our pool looks great! I would highly recommend them and I am picky!

Haven't experienced service from this company but my family and I did experience their reckless driving. We came within about 12 inches of being clipped by one of their drivers towing a trailer going 70 miles per hour. Wouldn't recommend a company that disregards safety in any situation. read more

Poolside Solutions was extremely responsive, professional, friendly and did very quality work. I would definitely hire them again.

After speaking with several companies, we chose Poolside Solutions to install our pool heater and were thrilled with our choice. James, the owner, patiently explained their process and our options in a manner that was easy to understand. We did not feel any pressure to make a quick decision, which we appreciated. The technicians arrived on time on the agreed upon day. They took great care with our lawn and pool area while installing the heater. We really love that they bury the majority of the unsightly plumbing. They also took time to explain how to download the control app, how to use it and how to maintain our system. We highly recommend this company. read more

So, we moved into a home with a pool and needed a pool guy. We went to a pool store a few times and felt like they were more about getting us up spend money. I yelped pool companies and found poolside. I called James Halls to come over and had been given other companies to try if I wasn't happy. Well, the 5 stars should tell you we're not looking for another company. He seems very honest, kind, professional and knows his stuff. We learned many new things and ways to care for our pool. He's taken the time to explain what we needed to know. I feel he's trustworthy, hardworking, and informative and we're happy we found him. Fantastic service. Quality work. Would recommend to all. Incredibly fast response time

My old pool sand filter was on it's last legs, leaking water and sand needed to get changed out so I shopped around for a new pool cartridge filter. I got quotes from 4 different pool service companies. James from Poolside Solutions impressed me by showing up for an in person free quote and his attention to detail. He pointed out my cracked concrete pad my old filter and pump was resting on and some bottlenecks from kinks in my old plumbing lines. Poolside Solutions gave me a very competitive quote and I did get an package discount by combining a new cartridge filter with some custom pool plumbing work and new pad. They impressed me so much I later used Poolside Solutions again to convert my pool to salt water by having them put in an Salt water chlorine generator. Straight shooters, very professional, and very competitive with their pricing. read more

Professional, helpful, provided lots of options and information. They replaced my leaky water leveler for the inground pool. They were super efficient and got the job done quickly at reasonable costs.

We had our pool drained and cleaned a week ago with Poolside Solutions. We got 3-4 other quotes and felt best about their confidence and expertise. They were one of the only people who asked follow-up questions about our pool and system to really figure out the best approach. They cleaned it well and the whole process was smooth. When I had a question I messaged them and they answered quickly. They even noticed a possible leak in our pump and they offered to check it out. They came out and figured out what it was and were honest with us instead of making up a problem just for money. Good company and glad we went with them for our pool drain and clean. read more

I have a salt water pool. I worked and communicated with James. I hired Poolside Solutions to drain, acid wash, refill, clean filters, repair leaky piping, & restart the pool. They gave me a fair estimate (actual price came really close). We had some major scaling that they addressed & provided honest feedback with what they could and could not do. The pool looks so much better! Overall I'm very happy with their work and would both hire them again and recommend them. read more

James from Poolside responded to a warranty claim to see why our pool would not prime. It was a thorny problem. We have several decades of experience owing pools so we tried everything we knew with no luck. James systematically found several possible issues -- including replacing the entire filter -- but obtained warranty co approval for repairs and replacement of a less expensive approach. Take a series of steps, starting with replacing O rings around the intake housing and the mode selector switch at top of the filter. He did the work. No success. He came out again and tweaked it but still no luck. He went to the next item on the list and again obtained warranty co approval to purchase and install the intake source selector valve. It then held pressure if we don't open the cleaning basket. But it still sometimes primed and sometimes didn't. He had a solution for that too -- put a pressure release valve on the filter, which he assumed was putting back pressure making priming iffy. That worked. My kudos are that he didn't claim any part was not consistent with the initial problem. He didn't say he would have to open a new claim and charge a new service fee. He didn't insist we replace the filter even though he knew he had only worked part way down the list of possibilities. In that way he honored his commitment to the warranty company too in that he didn't proclaim initially that all possible causes needed to be fixed immediately. He didn't tell us we had do the new filter, no other option. In short he was a most capable expert in his art/science. He was honest. He gave options and was willing to work from the least expensive down to the more expensive. He didn't whine that he was having to take too many trips. He was thoroughly professional. All of these characteristics are rare in this era. I cannot recommend James and Poolside more highly! read more

Can't say enough about the awesome customer service that James & his team provide. I love having a sparkling pool that I do nothing to.

Fast and reliable service that is priced at a great value. The monthly pool service is such a great solution!!

Wonderful experience with James and the company. Responded with a quote right away and was available within a few days to install the pool pump, filter system and pool light. In October, I contacted James about needing our pebble tec replaced and the inside of our pool resurfaced. From the first time meeting him and throughout our entire project, James was easy to work with, extremely knowledgeable, and honest. He would even frequently come and inspect the job site several times throughout the project to view the progress and make sure all was going as planned. I also notified him that we had family coming for Thanksgiving and was hoping to have the project completed by then and he stated that shouldn't be a problem. He stuck by his word and it was completed in plenty of time before the holiday. After the project was completed, I found that we had an unexpected problem with our pool heater when getting it up and running to make sure all would be well the following week. I notified James of the problem and he was able to troubleshoot the problem, get me a quote, and have a new heater installed before the holiday as well! I was so impressed and can't say enough about him and his company. Top notch! read more

James was very responsive but his staff complained incessantly about having to do their job. Unfortunately that becomes representative of the company's service. Short visits left us with a pool with leaves multiple times, noted right after staff "serviced" pool. They knew the job when they accepted the assignment. We don't mind paying for service but shouldn't be left feeling like your work is a burden, it's YOUR job to clean pools, that's what we are paying for. Moving forward I would suggest better assessment of the needs and omit the complaints to the client. read more

I'm a new pool owner at 59 years of age. We went to a pool store and they told us we needed to empty the pool and then all these chemicals were going to be needed.
