I pay attention to the other reviews for this company. I made an appointment to get an estimate for our new pool for service and the appointment I was given by Paula was for Friday june 9th between 8 and 12. I called Friday morning at 8 AM to cancel that appointment after reading the reviews on yelp I was a little gun shy of a company that couldn't seem to get their scheduling together. So today is Monday, June 12 and at 9:30 AM this morning Paula showed up to give me the estimate for the pool. She shows up on the wrong day plus I even canceled the estimate on Friday and spoke with someone in the office, not voicemail. If they can't even get their schedule right for an estimate, I can imagine that they're showing up for pool service on a regular basis is probably not going to happen. read more

I am saddened to read previous reviews for this business. I have had a great experience with them from the very beginning!!! Pool Troopers was one of the fastest businesses to reply to my request for a pool cleaning estimate. I literally contacted about 6 to 7 pool cleaning companies in the Mesa area. Most of them had automated messages requesting pool information and even pictures. Most of them did not bother to follow up after I provided what they asked for. Within two days, Pool Troopers had a technician out to my house to evaluate my pool. The technician called me ahead of time and kindly explained when he will be by and what he will be doing as part of his assessment. I want to recognize Dave Frey (Technician) for making my initial "free" pool consultation a memorable one!!! Dave showed up and was on time to our appointment. He gave me the option to walk along as he explained what was needed and what he would be doing before leaving my property. I received an on-site estimate.... very affordable!!! Within a week, my pool was drained and cleaned, pump filters were cleaned, and new pool water was treated with proper chemicals. Kudos to Dave for his amazing customer service: diligence in communicating and updating status, working with me to accommodate my schedule, and most importantly being so personable (tough to find these qualities in people and/or businesses)!!! I believe in second chances, so I think Pool Troopers are worthy of new opportunities!! I truly hope that Pool Troopers will continue rendering an awesome experience for me and other future customers!!! read more

In November 2021, I had a large water leak. I was told it was likely related to the pool. It took two months for them to investigate. I was told they would be able to fix my issues. I called again in February 2022 to "remind them"; they sent someone out right away. They gave me a quote and said they will repair next week. The pool repair guy left my pool vacuum out of the pool. I noticed that the pool cleaning guy would show up, but since it needed repairs, they wouldn't clean the pool. I was so mad they were charging me for cleaning the pool when they clearly weren't, that I canceled the cleaning service late March 2022, especially while I was waiting for them to repair the pool. It is now May 2022. They never fixed the pool leak or the now damaged pool vacuum damaged from being taken out of the pool and left in the sun, but they still continued to charge me. They are frauds. They don't clean your pool or fix repairs, but they know have to save your credit card and keep charging. read more

We started service with them and told them our pool needed to be drained. They promised it didn't. After two weeks, they realized they were wrong, attempted to fix it with a partial drain, so we were quickly forgiving. Then, we were promised the walls would be cleaned and floor would be vacuumed weekly, you know, general pool service. I've watched them on the security camera, and have liter watched that NOT be done. Additionally, I've had to clean the pool every week. Then, the pool timer breaks, so I've been running the pool non-stop. I've requested a new timer for three weeks, and was told it would be $50. Then, I'm set a quote after three weeks for $300. This companies is a joke. You would be better off taking care of your own pool. read more

Stay away from this company. They didn't show up for 3 months- leaving my pool green. I called everyday and they promised someone would show up, but no one did. I needed my sand in my filter replaced and they broke my pump when they replaced it, causing 400lb of sand to get pumped into my pool. They would not accept responsibility that they broke it when it clearly was their fault and happened when they were replacing the sand. When they finally showed up to do chemicals, they wouldn't even test the pool. They just threw chlorine tablets in and left. Addendum: this is the correct company. I called "Patrick" and Ofcourse they are closed at 2:30 on a Thursday. Recheck your records. Pool chlor was great, but since pool troopers took over. It has been a nightmare read more

We have been using Pool Troopers for about a year now, ever since they bought out Pool Chlor. We only use them for chemical treatment. Pool Chlor was amazing and always showed up on time. For the last couple of months, our pool hasn't looked good and is starting to turn a slight green. I explained the problem and they finally sent out a supervisor, but it took a week to get him out here. We were supposed to have biweekly service this past Friday, 5/27/2022, and no one showed up, no call, no text, no email, just a "no show". There whole business model is a terrible for customers. They only email you when they are on their way and after treatment, and they come whenever they feel like it, no matter what time of day and then they are only here for about a minute just dumping in liquid chlorine. They barely put any chlorine tabs in the skimmer or floater. I have a 30,000 gallon pool which requires more than 2 tabs every 2 weeks. I have previously explained that I need a text rather than an email so I know when they show up and can have my dog in the house. I work from home on a company computer and don't have time to go back and forth to my home computer to check whether or not I got an email from Pool Troopers before I let my dog out for potty breaks. This is for the protection of the technician as I have a rather large Boxer. When I call, I am on hold with them for almost an hour and still no answer. While I understand the current labor shortage, at the very least, they need to communicate with their customers on any schedule changes, etc. and how they are going to alleviate any problems. I always try to work with my service companies or contractors to give them a chance to resolve a problem. Unfortunately, this is what is happening now when larger corporations buy out smaller companies. The service isn't the same. read more

I had service for 8 years with this company and they started to increase their prices I decided to walk away went almost a whole year thinking we were even contract ended all paid up then the collection noticed started stating I owed them money they claimed they sent emails , letters and even call us but all of that is a lie I searched my emails phone records and guess what not one email or phone call and if they did called they didn't leave a voice mail but I guess all my technology I own is crap because it apparently it shows they have all these records on their end but not 9n mine end so I should bow down and just pay because they say it's the right thing do they say .SO BEWARE BEFORE YOU COMMIT TO THESE THIEVES so now its119. And some change according to the invoice I received today it's 79.32 it's amazing how it went up after making a comment how bad you keep records it's also amazing your ends shows you called or sent a email because I have no proof because you absolutely didn't send anything that has been yours guys excuse since you bought pool chlor read more

This might be the worst pool company ever. They can't even get basic stuff like backwashing right. I tried them for about a year because I kept getting the "it's been really hard to find good help...we are training them" story. I really don't like firing people or giving bad reviews, but I'm warning you, learn from my mistake. Find someone else. Maybe it's just the East Valley techs but it's been bad for about 10 of 12 months. I finally had enough and wasted way too much money. read more

We have a salt system, and we had a horrible experience with our previous pool company. Pool Troopers is pretty new in the Valley, but they have been around a long time, and it was very obvious when talking to Will that he knew SO much more than anyone else we had talked to since moving into the house with this system. The pool looks great, the maintenance follow up has been great. They text me back! I couldn't be happier with them. Will is our supervisor. I highly recommend him. read more

My pool has been green for over 2 months and I've talked with over 8 different people from here in Mesa to several people at the main office in Florida with just lip service. They don't call back and say they'll come take care of the problem and haven't. Field people are getting away with saying they're coming out and they're not or the pool wouldn't still be green. 07/2022 - since Pool Troopers got bought out I have had nothing but issues. I tried speaking to a manager to voice concerns/frustrations but it's like trying to reach the U.S. President, no luck. Prior to being bought out, they consistently arrived on Thursdays, which worked out well as I work from home that day, and I was able to secure the dogs while staff serviced the pool. Now, they switched to Wednesdays. I made a request to remain on the Thursday schedule. I was told it was not possible because the change in route. I get that. So I made multiple requests to receive a text before they arrive due to a pet situation, they state that is not a problem, but I get no text and pool does not get serviced because the dogs are in the back yard. I call to reschedule and I am told they will put in a request, but I am not told when they will come out. I request a call the day before so I can plan due to work. the caller states she will be in the request to call me and that is all she can do, but I get no call. This is poor customer service. The one area they get 5 stars is billing for the monthly service. read more

Since Pool Troopers took over servicing my pool it has been horrible, I took a sample of my pool water into Leslie Pool and got it tested a day after my bi-weekly service. The chlorine was 22 and several other chemicals were totally out of spec. Pool Troopers does not check the water before they add two gallons of chlorine. I called this morning and never got a call back from Will ?? I have to have my pool drained and refilled. My advice is to stay away from Pool Troopers... read more
