Great management and great crew…read more Had a pool pump stop working, and my normal pool guy immediately blamed a failed motor in the pump, despite it only being 2 years old and gave me a large quote to replace. I called Pelican for a second opinion and rather than just push new hardware, they did their due diligence to pinpoint the problem.They figured out that not enough power was being supplied to the pool panel and it ended being a bad breaker that was supplying too little voltage for the pump to operate. We are very happy with our new hot tub that we purchased from Jeremy and Henry at Southwest Spas…read more They were nice enough to hold on to our tub at their facility until we were able to get HOA approval, 220v electrical hook-up and breaker, and a small travertine patio extension built for the hot tub. When we first came into the store, Henry was so thorough in his explanation of the different features of the spa we were interested in purchasing. The electrician (Nick) and the landscape person who installed our patio extension(Jose) who were recommended to us by Henry and Jeremy were also terrific. Once we had the spa delivered, I had some questions about some of the features of the tub, chemicals, as well as a small issue with one of the diverters that was leaking. I drove over to Southwest Spa to speak to someone in person, and Jeremy was kind enough to take the time to answer my questions, and also instructed me how to fix the diverter leak when I got home, and it worked perfectly after that. Easy-peasy! Having our own spa at our home has been on my husband and my bucket list for YEARS. We are so happy we were finally able to make it happen with the assistance of Southwest Spas!

I did accidentally get slimed from a partly open bottle of moisturizing cream (I hope... yikes!), but managed to wipe myself off and continue rummaging. I ended up buying what I thought was quite a gem of a find... five tiny disco balls (with a spool of fishing line for hanging included)! My buddy found collapsible paper lanterns that look like wasp's nests. I didn't know what they were, but he explained that they were decoys to dissuade wasps from setting up camp on your property (think "scarecrows"... but for wasps). This was an appropriate gift for a family member that recently had some issues with wasps continually landing in their backyard swimming pool. Anyhow, when we checked out we chatted with the clerk and found out more about the store. The pricing scheme is thus: Sunday $5, Monday $3, Tuesday $1(!), Wednesday $0.50, Thursday - closed for restocking, Friday $15, Saturday $7. You'll want to pay attention to opening hours on the cheapest days because we were told that quite a few people show up early to get in line. Even though Wednesday is the cheapest day (at a mere 50 cents), we were told that the inventory is pretty slim pickin's. Tuesday morning may be your sweet spot (1 buckaroo!), but you're probably gonna want to get there before open at 9 a.m. Happy hunting baragain-seekers!

We have a unique problem in that our space is limited - and it didn't take long until we spotted the ideal spa --- just right for two, maybe three. Made by Hydrapool it's not only beautiful, but well made and has plenty of power for the 30 jets it has. Lisa and her husband were so knowledgeable about their products. I wanted to make sure how much it was going to actually cost me, so I made sure that they knew WHAT I HAD IN SUPPLIES including the fact that I had three bags of salt and I wanted them to be used so that I would NOT HAVE to pay their price for the salt needed for my pool. I knew I would need two additional bags but that was it. Well it DID NOT GET USED even though it was NOTED on my file. Then I also knew I needed to replace the filters and would do so at the same time as when getting my pool drained and refilled. The tech was already here, it's not like he had to do an extra trip or anything. I had called and spoken to Shawn over the phone because I received a text letting me know the filters were on sale with a 15% discount and I wanted to make sure the discount was applied to my invoice. He said that yes it was going to be applied on the final bill. Except Shawn failed to mention the FACT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $140 additional for putting the filters in. But the worst part was when I went in person to find out why my bill was so high. Of course being the honest person that I am I HAD ALREADY PAID THE INVOICE. Because both the young guy with the beard can't remember his name and a lady with short curly hair ( also don't know her name) were very rude. Even though I was not talking to her in regards to my situation she decided to butt in and tell me that "was I thinking I was going to get things for free?" And the guy all he could say was " well I don't know what was said and what wasn't" pretty much my word against theirs. THAT'S FINE I WILL HAVE THE FINAL WORD, YOU ARE A RIP OFF. They're always quick to explain exactly what's going on with our pool and clearly lay out all of our options for new equipment. And they're reasonably priced! Can't say enough good things.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I was delighted when ASP started doing…read moremy pool. Unfortunately after about four weeks the pool technician I had that was doing a great job was no longer doing my route. Someone new came out along with another person. It appeared the one person was a trainee. The CYA level in my pool had consistently been at 100 ppm. After two weeks of the new techs coming out, per their report they added 3lbs of shock. This caused my CYA level to jump to 300! Also, the following day after the shock was added it did not all disolve. There were two areas on pool floor that were approximately 24" in diameter with shock. This can stain the pebble tec per the owner of ASP. I took and brushed it to make the shock dissolve. It should be 50-80 ppm, but with our extreme temperatures 100 ppm is acceptable from what other pool owners have told me. With the CYA at 300 I asked Clint, the owner, what should be done? He said to keep an eye on it until July and if it was still high they could drain and refill pool. It is too hot in July to drain a Pebble Tec pool in fear of cracks so I wanted it drained immediately. I assumed that would be on them seeing they created the problem. He said no, it would cost me $475 for drain, refill and add chemicals! I was appalled to hear this. I rented a pump and drained it myself. I can see mistakes being made, but, to have a professional pool service not own up to their mistakes and putting the problem on the person using their service is unconscionable. I dropped their service immediately.

We needed to have the sand replaced in our Triton pool filter, and Pool Shop offered the best price and quickest scheduling. Brian showed up on time and did an outstanding job servicing the filter and leaving the pool equipment area cleaner than it was when he arrived. The guy taking care of it didn't know what he was doing. One week it's clear then the next he did something and it had a green tint. no idea what he's doing back there. But to charge me more than double and not to call me about it first is crazy. If you're treating pool and you mess up something it's not my fault. I shouldn't have to pay extra for someone not understanding how to treat the pool. i cancelled service and the owner won't call me back. Place is ran horribly.

Phone calls and texts were answered immediately. All of the construction was clearly explained and done exactly on time. The workmanship is second to none. This spa made our yard look incredible and really is a beautiful piece of art. Everything was explained clearly as far as operation, maintenance, etc. I believe it would be foolish to hire any other company for your hot tub installation or service. I had a terrible experience with Sedona Spas and owner Ross Herman. My 5-year-old spa developed a…read morestructural crack, which independent inspectors, including a licensed contractor, attributed to poor installation and a lack of proper foundational support. Despite our findings, Ross Herman repeatedly dismissed it as a "surface crack." He then blamed the issue on our pre-existing pergola and water drainage system, which were in place prior to installation and never flagged as a problem. I was particularly concerned to learn that Arizona law requires an ROC license for projects of this size, which Sedona Spas lacked at the time of our installation. I filed a complaint with the ROC, which resulted in a warning letter being sent to the owner. The advertised 20-year shell structure warranty was also misleading; the actual warranty is prorated and very limited. As our spa's structure is compromised and must be removed, I have requested a refund four times, but have been denied. This is the worst product and service experience I have ever had."
