I got the small 7 dollar bowl and that is definitely plenty of food but I guess if you're totally American you want that big portion there is the 10 dollar bowl option. But I am plenty full off the small bowl. The pesto bowl tie with grilled chicken and roasted veggies is what I got and it absolutely SMACKED! Pesto definitely was not from a jar and if it was you fooled me. But I will be back to try all the versions of pasta and sandwiches!! So glad I took a chance on this local eatery!! This place has that family owned business kind of vibe to it. As you walk into the restaurant, it has a very simple decor, there is no menu board on the counter. And their take out boxes are just exposed in the open behind the counter. Most of the staff are young boys, very polite, but never ever once checked on us, after our food was served. This place just opened end of January 2023. So probably they will make some improvements on the interior of the establishment. The food was priced decent, if you're on a budget, and craving for pasta, this is the place for you. I noticed most of the costumers are young. There are 2 size options for their serving. We were nearby and saw this place had opened so decided to try it and were pleasantly surprised. The decor is very unassuming, simple and clean. The focus is on the food which for a fast pasta shop is perfect. There is a section for children, the seating is comfortable and spacious, and it is set up for quick pick up and dine-in. They had a steady business while we were there and for the food it is worth it. We both got the penne and it was perfectly al dente, which is actually a challenge for quick pasta so that is a major accomplishment and a very pleasant surprise. The pesto was not overly oily with a good balance of garlic, pine and basil. The pasta was not drenched so you could enjoy the pasta and the sauce. Similarly, the marinara had a great tomato tang with a nice amount of garlic and was not thick or thin, so it coated the pasta perfectly. We enjoyed both sauces. The chicken parm and eggplant parm were a litttle disappointing in size but had good flavor. They had a nice amount of cheese that crusted both and they were cooked thoroughly. The cheesy garlic bread had a good crunch, enough cheese and garlic so that it was tasted but not soggy in butter or bitter. So a nice bite of bread. The service is like many dine in fast food where you order and can take our or dine in. The staff were friendly but it is not a full table service place, so do not expect that level of service. However, if you need anything you can ask and they are very helpful. Overall, it is a great edition to the fast food scene for those looking for some pasta or Italian style sandwiches and salads. The pricing makes it affordable for families and the speed makes it easy for a quick pick up for dinner or lunch. Meh, this was fine but I don't think I would go out of my way to go back. It seems like it's boxed pasta and for $30 to feed my husband, my daughter, and me, that seems a bit pricey. My husband and I each got the large pasta. I like how you can customize it to your preferences. My husband got penne with meat sauce and chicken parm. I got bow tie with meat sauce and a breaded chicken tender. We also got an order of the garlic bread. Overall, it was good but nothing special. I wasn't impressed by the meat sauce. The garlic bread was definitely the best part. The serving of pasta is pretty large--I had some leftover for lunch the next day. The ambiance could use a little love--just seemed kind of spare and sterile in a way. The best part was the kids' corner! My daughter loved playing with their selection of toys and books, so good work there! It's an order at the counter place and it was easy. Food took a little longer than I thought, esp because we were one of two patrons. Took my daughter and her friend here for dinner. They both got the penne Alfredo ($7 bowl). My daughter's friend added the breaded chicken to her bowl. Both girls really enjoyed their bowls. I ended up ordering the cavatappi with creamy pesto sauce. At first glance it did not look like it had a lot of sauce. After I mixed it some I was happy with the pasta to sauce ratio. The pesto sauce is a $1 up charge. I did enjoy the flavor of the sauce and could taste the basil coming through. I had sausage added to the meal. We shared a cheesy garlic bread. It came out piping hot. Had to let it cool down before we cut it into smaller pieces. The garlic bread was served with a side of their marinara sauce. I found the marinate pretty flavorful and I enjoyed the chunks of tomato. We really enjoy the restaurant and will continue to order here. read more

My son and I came here because we were craving pasta and thought how can you go wrong with a pasta shop. First impression, place was empty at 6 pm except for one other couple. It was clean. Basic tables, plenty of seating. Chairs were comfortable but upon looking closer there were tears in the upholstery, almost appearing second hand. The girls at the front counter were very nice and explained the menu to us which we appreciated. A turn off was the kids "play area." A good idea if you are going for a day care McDonald's theme. But I am not sure about anyone else but I wouldn't want to hear kids clanking blocks and getting loud while I was trying to eat dinner. The Pasta Shop has 2 bowl sizes, a $9 bowl and a $6 dollar bowl. My son had a $6 bowl of Alfredo with chicken and a $6 bowl of penne pasta with sauce, the latter he didn't finish and threw out when we got home. My $9 bowl of Alfredo could have easily fit into a $6 bowl. I feel that I needlessly spent $3 for nothing. Kudos to a cook that can actually cook pasta to a nice Al dente. Negative points for a cook that should at the very least know that pasta needs to be seasoned when cooking. Not a drop of salt, extremely bland and boring. The Alfredo sauce was more of the same. Ragu makes a better Alfredo sauce and I wouldn't eat that either. The one star that I give is for the garlic bread, which was a little on the tough side but still flavorful. All in all this is not a place for date night, couples night or any other time, it's just not good. If you are allergic to seasoning or just like bland boring food then this is your place. But if you enjoy food then I might suggest going to one of the many other good Italian restaurants to get your pasta. read more

Took my family and dog to eat outside. The have three two person patio tables that were perfect. We had Alfredo, spaghetti, bowtie pastas. Topped off with chicken, Parmesan and meatballs and it was delicious. The woman at the register was patient with us - as it was the first time that we were there. My family ordered food from here and it was a very mediocre experience. It feels like this restaurant was opened by entrepreneurs without the influence of a chef. It's like cafeteria food, moderate prices for small bland portions. It kind of feels like you're in a cafeteria with the ambiance as well. I hate to use such direct language because it doesn't seem like the owners have bad intentions, but it truly felt like a waste of money. I feel like this cozy restaurant needs more love. First I have to say I am super impressed every time I go inside The Pastashopaz. It's always clean and well lit. The associates are friendly and the food, if you order online is ready for you and is piping hot. My father's eggplant Parmesan sandwich was delicious and the pasta bowls my mother and I got were packed with noodles and delicious meat sauce. If I want delicious pasta that's done well, I don't need to go anywhere except Pastashopaz. read more

My family and I decided to give this place a shot. The looks of the popup shop are ok and just look like other popup restaurants. They do provide a small selection of children games to play with while the adults are talking. How was the food? Most of my family ordered the pesto cause that's our favorite type of pasta dish around. We did ordered different styles of pasta and different add-on toppings. Since I didn't find any seafood or grilled chicken I went with the eggplant parm as my extra, father got the meatball, and brother got the chicken. The wait time wasn't bad as was expected to be a little while due to our different add-ons. But soon we got our food. Which we noticed that all of the garlic for the pesto seemed to be missing. Oh well we got our add-ons right? Well that depends on what you may have ordered. My grilled parm came out flavorless (which was a first for me), father only seemed to get 1 1incher size meatball, and my brother got 2 pieces of chicken for his pasta Maybe you all need to order the bigger size? Well both my father and brother paid the $9 or the extra large bowl and I went for the average $6 bowl. With our add-ons costed us all nearly $2 extra Will you guys be returning? After reading some reviews on the neighborhood app, we really had some high hopes for this place. If you are on a budget and looking for a bowl of pasta, I guess this is the best place to go. I got a bowl of spaghetti with the meat sauce. My wife got the Alfredo with chicken. We also got a side of sausage and a side of meatballs to try as well as the cheese and garlic bread.. sorely pretty much everything had no flavor. The cheese bread was basically a hoagie sliced in half and had no garlic flavor just cheese. The meatball and sausage no flavor. Pasta bowl had just the right amount of food in them. Pretty much everything is self serve your drinks, your silverware, and everything else and you clean up after yourself. All you had was a young lady who look like she just got out of the gym with workout clothes on going around and wiping down tables.
