We had a very tasty brunch and were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of fresh options. The espresso martini was perfection and I can't believe I hadn't tried to this place sooner!
Cute diner in the Rally Hotrl where we were staying. Its quite packed around lunch time on weekends and weekday mornings. We ha breakfast here everyday and lunch once. Portions are huge and food is basic but tasty. The only thing I didnt like was the amount of potatoes in everything. Like overwhelming amount:) My tofu scramble was 75% potatoes and 25% tofu n veg. My husband's egg breakfasts were also chock full of potatoes. We literally had to tell them to not give us so much on our 3rd breakfast there-guess what? They gave us extra potatoes. By this time husband and i were just laughing and decided we are going on a tater sabbatical for a few weeks now! We tried the farro bowl and caprese for lunch one day and they were both delish. My husband's eggs were cooked well and my avo toast was decent as well.
I was happy with club sandwich, but ordered a French dip to go, too. Huge mistake. Next time I'll go to Arbys for 6.99 instead. The lack of meat and poor eye appeal for $18 at this restaurant wasnt worth it. Take this off your seasonal or regular menu until you learn how to make one. Spent $56 (that was just my bill) and we, party of 6,were shocked at what they thought was a French Dip. Where's the beef lol? Was it because I ordered it to go? Waiter, service and location was fine. I just know not to order that again. It wasn't the price as much as lack of value and the taste was lacking(chewy, too). I'll stick with Arbys. The club sandwich was Huge and quite tasty. Just don't order their French Dip until they learn how to make one lol and I'm sure I won't spend $18 for it. We'll be back, just know what not to order. I almost asked for a refund and gave it back. I will next time.
We came to Denver expecting amazing mountain views. What we didn't expect was to need a moment of silence after brunch. The food? Amazing. The weather? Amazing. The service? Also amazing. Basically, The Original understood the assignment. Kayleigh took great care of us from start to finish. She noticed my wife and I were wearing Chris Brown and Usher tour shirts and asked if we were headed to the concert. We both replied, "No," which probably made us look like two people who just enjoy confusing strangers. We just liked the shirts, okay? Now let's talk cocktails. The "Don't Mind If I Do" was hands down one of the best Old Fashioned-style cocktails I've had in a long time. Smooth, balanced, and dangerous because it tricks you into thinking, "One more couldn't hurt." My wife ordered the Pig & Pony and absolutely loved it. We also ordered the Hot Take... which isn't pictured because we inhaled it before either of us remembered phones have cameras. The food was phenomenal, the drinks were outstanding, and the atmosphere somehow managed to be both lively and relaxing. If you're in Denver and skip this place, that's between you and your poor life choices. We'll definitely be back... preferably wearing more random concert shirts just to keep Kayleigh guessing.
Met here for brunch today, and it was PACKED, on a waitlist for 45 minutes, for Sunday brunch as well as the crowds attending the Rockies versus Giants baseball game at the stadium next door. Raistlin (Rai) was a great server, taking time to chat with us a bit, checking on us, making sure our orders were correct. We ordered a shredded short rib eggs Benedict and a OG Breakfast with 2 eggs sunny side up, home style potatoes, sourdough toast. Enjoyed my Strawberry Stand and my husband enjoyed his Espresso martini. Everything tasted great! It was fun trying two hot sauces on the table as well.
My friend and I had breakfast here the other morning, and really enjoyed it! Our server was great - he checked on us multiple times, made recommendations, and was very lively for early in the morning. There's tons of seating within this restaurant, including many seats around the bar. We were seated at a booth, which was nice. On to the food - I had the veggie benedict, which came with a very generous portion of potatoes, and plenty of hollandaise. I really enjoyed this breakfast, and the seemingly bottomless coffee. I did take most of my potatoes home, they make for a great reheat for another breakfast. Will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!
Suuuuper yummy food and drinks! First time coming here and I'll definitely be back. We started with the cronuts which were perfectly crispy and sweet. I ordered the seasonal pumpkin spice espresso martini which was delicious! And then had the lobster Benedict for my entree which was 10/10! Service was nice and attentive and the inside is so modern, bright, and cute!
A friend put me onto this brunch spot, and now it's firmly in my rotation. It's tucked inside a hotel in McGregor Square and has such a fun, lively vibe--especially on the weekends. The first few times I went, I couldn't stop ordering the Hangover Burger... and for good reason. From the perfectly cooked smash burger to the rich, flavorful aioli, it's *so* satisfying. It's definitely on the bigger side, though, so come hungry. Their cocktails are also a win across the board, but my personal favorites are the "Drunk in Love" and the "Resting Spritz Face"--both super refreshing and brunch-approved. I brought my boyfriend here, and he got the short rib eggs Benedict and immediately hit me with a "run, don't walk" so that tells you everything you need to know. More recently, I came with a group of girlfriends and finally branched out to the steak & eggs. I ordered my steak medium with fries instead of the breakfast potatoes and absolutely *destroyed* that plate. The chimichurri was fresh and herby, the avocado added the perfect creamy balance, and dipping the fries in a side of garlic aioli just took it to another level. This is such a great spot for a girls' brunch--it does get pretty poppin on weekends, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you're going with a group. That said, I've also gone on a weekday morning and sat at the bar, which was a much more relaxed (but still perfect) vibe. Definitely a go-to brunch spot with something for everyone.
Pretty great brunch spot! It's like an upscale diner with friendly staff, fun 70s vibe decor and lots of menu options. Located across the ballpark. I went for the chicken and biscuit. Chicken was coated with a hot honey. It came with sausage gravy, which I always ask for on the side. The dish came like an open faced sandwich topped with eggs. Very tasty. Made it even better with their selection of local hot sauces to meet my sweet and spicy desires. The sausage gravy wasn't great but didn't miss it. Dish was good as is!
This restaurant has a really cool vibe and is built out with an industrial atmosphere combined with a 1950s diner. We got the monthly special pancake, which was cookie butter and it was absolutely to die for. On top of that, our server TJ was one of the warmest, kindest servers we've ever had. He made my son feel so at home that he's asking when we're going back.
Man, the short rib benedict is to die for! The rich hollandaise and the tender beef along with the crispy potatoes was fabulous and the hollandaise was decadent! We also had the banana french toast which is sumptuous with the banana bread topped with delicious walnuts (we took one piece off when I took the photo so it is really ample sized)! The coffee was off today...bitter and sour, but when I asked for a new cup of it, it was better the second round. Amazing service by Teej. We love that the Dining Out Passbook has this place in there! Great deal.
First time here! The food was not bad, but nothing special. Definitely better options out there. I rate the food about a C+. Good coffee. Great service. We didn't order anything extravagant, just breakfast. This is a nice establishment, but the elevated ambience does not match the cuisine. Not sure if I will come back, at least not as my choice. Unless a group of friends chooses this place. Service was great!
My friend and I enjoyed a Friday morning brunch at The Original while staying at the Rally Hotel. It's location, at our hotel, made it convenient, but the menu looked to be just our style as well. We headed down to a crowded restaurant around 11 AM. It was pretty packed because it was opening day for the Colorado Rockies, and everyone was getting pre-game food. We checked in, to find that it was only about a 15-20 minute wait, a perfect amount of time to get mimosas at the bar. It actually turned out that we had a nice little area to drink our mimosas near the hostess stand, where we got to chat with other patrons. The restaurant itself is an upscale and modern diner, with modern diner food. It had a bight aesthetic. Once we were seated, we got to look over the menu. We decided to share the Maple Deviled Eggs and OG Hash with soyrizo. I was glad we shared so we could try both dishes. Also, the portions were rather large. Anyway, we enjoyed the food. It was creative and flavorful. There were lots of menu items the sounded good, so it was difficult to decide. It was also fun to try a couple of breakfast cocktails, for something different than a mimosa. All in all, we had a great brunch at The Original, and it was a great way to start our day.

We received great service, the drinks were great, and the food was amazing! Cold brew is made in house and it's delicious, the chicken & biscuits and bacon, egg, & cheese were wonderful. Went on a Wednesday morning, was decently busy but we were sat right away. Our server was very kind and personable. read more

We were happy with our experience eating at The Original! There was no wait the Thursday morning (10:30 AM) we went, even though we still had made a reservation in advance. I got the Chicken and Biscuits which were really good, but I would have preferred more gravy covering the dish and biscuits that aren't soft and spongey but have a little more density to them. The Funnel Cake Fries are not only delicious but also genius! My fiancé loved his Short Rib Benedict and thought the home fries were high quality. A glass of OJ or other juice is $4 which I think is a bit steep for just juice but it's not the end of the world. read more

We sat outside on the patio and it was a nice day so perfect for brunch. We had good service that was quick and didn't have to wait long but reservations are preferred. You won't regret getting the banana French toast! read more
I came here to have breakfast with Crystal for the first time last week! I felt it was a really solid experience! The people here were very friendly and were so quick to make sure we had a seat and took very good care of us. Crystal got a coffee and said it was hot and great cup of joe! I had a juice and we shared a couple plates of food which included the potatoes, French toast with fruit , we also got this dish that I can't remember the name of it but it was biscuits gravy eggs on top and this kind of sweet and spicy sauce with it and it was so delicious. All cooked perfectly with lots of flavor but not overpowering. We finished everything because it was so good but we left with full bellies! Crystal and I like to walk a lot of places so it's great that this is so close to Union Station a short walk away so excellent location wise for us! We had the most amazing experience at The Original. It was our birthday and my sister and I went to enjoy breakfast. We had the most genuine, kind server name Teej and he made the whole experience just absolutely amazing. The management and Teej were so sweet to us and just made us feel so so special. And then on top, the food was so tasty and flavorful. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone to go enjoy food and the wonderful service here! read more
Very trendy and fun! I went here with some co-workers after an event we had at McGregor Square. There was 8 of us. They were able to seat us within 5 minutes! Very clean as you walk in. Friendly host staff and our waiter was the nicest! I ordered Turkey pesto Panini with a side of fries! But I was debating between that or the buttermilk pancakes! The turkey pesto was amazing! Hot and fresh with just the right about of pesto! I didn't think it was over powering or lacking in any way! The fries were crispy and seasoned well! They brought out churros for the table to share! I thought they were the perfect bite sized portions and the dipping sauces added the perfect amount of flavor! Over all we had a great time! We were there for little over an hour and didn't feel rushed! We felt like our server really cared about us and wanted us to stay for as long as we liked! For a table of 8 our waiter did a fantastic job! I hope to go back someday soon with friends! read more

First time here and cannot wait to come back when we are in town. This place is super nice and clean! Our server was amazing, so kind and helpful. We had the brioche French toast which was extremely fluffy and tasty. The turkey pesto panini was AMAZING! The bread was so fresh and the flavors were wonderful. We opt out of fries and got a side salad with pickled onions instead. The lime vinaigrette was homemade and we loved it. Parking was easy. We found street parking nearby. Stopped in for brunch last weekend. Great location within walking distance to Coors Field and Union Station. Great vibe, cute decor and excellent service. The food was alright but nothing we would return for. We had deviled eggs, brussel sprouts, breakfast burrito, short rib Benedict, and cocktails. The burrito is large enough to share. read more
Brunch on vacation is always the way to go! This place was recommended to us and it didn't not disappoint. First off, the ambiance of the restaurant is...Bridgerton...meets NYC subway...meets chic. In my opinion. The food was delicious! So good in fact I never took photos cause we were starving. The drinks were delicious. There was a chili cookoff outside, so the bagpipes made it. Our server was so incredible and accommodating. She not onlacwas able to grab me something, since I'm so damn picky, but they way they set out our plates...it was like our names were written on the bottom. The service was outstanding! Went here because the google reviews said this was a 4.8. I have a hard time giving it above a 3. The coffee was not good and they do not offer any lattes of any sorts. We got 2 orders of the steak and eggs and both were overcooked. I sent mine back because the steak was grey and not medium rare. When I got my new steak my family had already finished eating. Super chewy but it did have good flavor. The blueberry pancakes were delicious. And our waiter was awesome. The ambiance was super nice and in a great location. Just think the food could improve to keep up with the 4.8 google reviews. read more

This place is super cute. My friend and I ordered quite a few items as everything looked so good. The churro bites were really yummy. Part of me wishes we ordered it at the end of our meal as it was a sweet treat -- the other part wouldn't have had space & enjoyed eating them first. The croquettes were good, but smaller than we're used to. The pulled pork Benedict was delicious, and a nice helping! Our server was great! read more

Had yet to try this place and met a friend for brunch. It's right near ballpark, Mac Gregor square so parking can be a pain but I got lucky and found some meter parking down the street. They have an extensive menu of drinks, lunch options and breakfast items. Their sandwiches looked great but I was in the mood for brunch. I got the Chicken and Biscuits which was a fried battered thigh on top biscuit with a hot honey drizzle and 2 sunny side eggs on top. It usually comes sitting on gravy but I asked for on side because I don't want my biscuit being soggy. My friend got the Southwest salad which also looked good. Our waiter was very nice the place was booming with people and I saw list of alcohol drinks flowing. I wish they had coffee bar drinks instead of just brewed is my only gripe. Location is far out for me but if I ever find myself downtown again may try lunch here, read more

We stopped by The OG on our way out of Denver. We were running late and called ahead to let them know. They were able to still honor our reservation with a packed restaurant, so we were very appreciative. All of the staff was nice and friendly. We both got the hangover burger (one without bacon) and it was delicious, and the fries were super crispy! My friend also got the breakfast tacos. We shared mimosas by the bottle. My friend also had a Drunk in love cocktail and I finished off with an express yourself (espresso martini). If we are ever back in Denver we will be going to the OG! read more
We've finally found our FAVORITE breakfast spot in Denver!! The competition is strong but this place did NOT disappoint!! We were a group of 6 and made a Saturday brunch reservation about 3-4 days in advance. Got seated immediately upon arrival and our server was so friendly. This is a great spot for all party sizes from 2-10+. We were definitely not the smallest group and yet there were no service delays, etc. Our server explained the whole menu, we shared quite a few appetizers. The most notable ones being the Cinnamon Croughnuts and the sausage wrapped pancakes (TO DIE FOR). Seriously I wished I had ordered that as my entree! 6 weeks later and I still can't stop thinking about that dish. We all got different entrees and everyone was pleased. Food was great - the portions are huge so definitely recommend not going too hard on the appetizers like we did. We did really enjoy the breakfast corndogs - super unique! Service was good and it seems like if you have more than 4 people, a reservation is your best bet for a table at a reasonable time. read more
Denver has a lot of great looking spots to eat and this is one of them... bright and festive. You've gotta go the extra mile for me to get 5 stars on breakfast and I wouldn't say this was that but the French toast I had was cool/adequate, the fruit on top of it was fresh. I also had a hot chocolate and mimosa as well... hot chocolate being the better of the two for me. The whole area by the ballpark is pretty cool and OG is worth checking out along with the rest of that whole area if you're going to be in that area. I wouldn't go out of my way just to get your breakfast here though. read more

The original is SO cute. The food is delicious and service is great. I personally think it is a bit overpriced but makes sense considering the location. I've been twice and always struggle choosing what to get because everything on the menu looks delicious. I got the chicken sandwich and it was very okay! It has too much of the tomato spread on it but was better when I took it off. The burrito was great and huge! read more
I really wanted to give this place a 5 stars but it'll be a 4.5 lowered to a 4. Saturday morning breakfast can be a little busy so this is to be understood, we we're quoted 10 minutes and turned around to be 5 or less. Pajama day is always so cool because every seems to be having fun. However it took a while for our waitress to warm up to us.... It almost felt like we were being intrusive in asking a question... this would be the only reason for why the review is left at a 4. Food wise...... 6/5!!!! Let me explain: Donut sliders: 5/5 -I don't know that I'd order them again... but the marriage of flavors was unique, exciting, and just... interesting. We tried them because why not?!? Oh.... The savoriness being paired with the butteriness and married to the sweetness of the glazed donut... it was an experience. I'm typically not a sweet with my savory, but this dish married it pretty well. It was a great appetizer if you're looking to start your morning on the wild side! Steak and eggs: 6/5 -This.... This is the meal you deserve from this establishment... I requested a side of chimichuri because I enjoy chimichuri.... But this chimichuri... this is the ONE! Streak was cooked to a perfect medium rare with a side of over medium eggs over some perfectly golden potatoes... it was a wonderful breakfast. The chimi had a strong garlic taste which I enjoy and that paired with the yolk from the eggs with the table side hot sauce was such an amazing experience. There was a lot of heat, sweetness, savoriness, and just appetizing moments that could only be described as. Above expectations. I have had a lot of steaks.... The tenderness and prep were done perfect. My compliments to the chef!! This meal itself should have been a 5/5 for the review but service brings it down to the 4/5. Chorizo hash: 5/5 -definitely a share worth portion. Come hungry! This chorizo hash was definitely filling as it had a wonderful level of heat, mixed with savor. Between the peppers and the addition of ketchup by my fiancée, it gave this meal a good flavor profile. She did it with the scrambled, it was a good! I would recommend it with an over medium or over easy egg as there is a lot of flavor you can spread out through the dish. But If you're a scrambler. You're not missing much! The OG has a lot of potential to be a 4/5 and even 5/5! Service industry is hard and we understand that. However, the client shouldn't be made to feel like their experience is lackluster because they tried to make conversation with their waitress. I would recommend the Yelp community help this establishment achieve it's 4 stars as the food... the food speaks far more than words can. That chimichuri... is the real winner here! Try it read more
I came here with a couple of friends for brunch before a baseball game. We had to wait a little while for our reservation, but not too bad. Their decor is cute and "dinery." Our server was Jeremy and he was great. I ordered the burrito which was huge and good. We did have a little issue with our bill in that the price we were charged was higher than the price on the menu. They did fix that, but it meant we had to wait for that. They also add a 3% service fee. read more
We went here before a Rockies game and it was a great choice. The staff were super friendly. The bottle for mimosas was $35 and came with a variety of juices. The smothered burrito was huge and so yummy. Definitely worth a brunch stop for sure. read more

Not a bad place to grab brunch! They have a ton of items on the menu and a good chunk of it is pretty unique. Had two visits but can't remember the first visit well but I can remember the second one as clear as day because it happened today! The deviled eggs were refreshing appetizer and my frittata was tasty and not bland at all! The server was optimistic and had lots of energy. I'm curious about their dinner menu! read more

Service was exceptional. Had a quiet breakfast due to it being a weekday, but I totally enjoyed that. The coffee is really good! The restaurant is very clean and decorated very nicely. My breakfast was made really well. The only thing that fell short was the pancake. It was thin, not fluffy or flavorful. The added fruit was a nice touch, just not a great pancake unless you prefer thin pancakes. Will return next time I'm in town due to service and ambiance. read more

My Sweetheart and I were looking for a brunch spot on our recent staycation. Somewhere we'd normally not make it to on the weekend due to crowds or excessive wait times. Enter The Original. Located in McGregor Square near Coors Field, this is probably an awesome place to visit during baseball season with all the action that comes with it (yes I know....that would mean crowds ;-)). Service was excellent. The wait staff is very attentive and pleasant. We ordered the ham and gruyere croquettes from the seasonal menu. So very tasty with a small bowl of hollandaise sauce for dipping. We each got two. For my entree I ordered the creme de la creme French toast. Also so mouth wateringly tasty. Fruit, vanilla creme sauce (there was a fancier name for it), and warm maple syrup, you simply can't go wrong. The atmosphere was fun and casual. Again, I'd like to come here again during the warmer months. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming.... Plenty to draw a person back again and again. read more
First time here, came an hour before they close and surprisingly the kitchen were backed up. Usually kitchen should be backed up during beginning or high trafficked time but....I guess they do things differently. Foods were very late, but to compensate for it, I was given a free meal. Which I appreciated. But I would not considered it as good service. Because it wasn't my fault to begin with. Onto the food, you can't mess up a basic scramble eggs and toast. The potatoes were fried at the perfect crispness. But the sausages were very very dry. I almost thought I was eating jerky.. The vibes were very pleasing, not too loud or too quiet. Could be a cozy family environment or an intimate date. But the foods were very mid....so come for one time thing! read more

Came here for brunch with a few girlfriends and pleasantly surprised with the food here. We got a few mimosas coz what brunch starts without a mimosa right ;) I personally liked the grapefruit mimosa but my friends tried the orange mimosa and that was good too! Juices are freshly squeezed! I got the fried chicken sandwich and I loved how spicy and crunchy it was! Just perfect. My friends got the avocado toast and salmon eggs benny both really good! We all saw a lot of potatoes as side in all our orders, potatoes were good but the quantity was huge. We also got a croughnuts order for the table and personally I am not a cinnamon fan but I was able to enjoy these, cinnamon wasn't overpowering. Our server was sweet and kept checking on us. The ambience here is casual yet upscale. The four of us sat indoors but maybe I'll opt for the outdoor seating the next time. read more
