Soooooo good! The One Pho is a cute, clean, quaint little spot with wonderful service and a menu packed with vegan options. My vegan pho was absolutely divine, paired with hot tea for the perfect meal. Super filling, tons of flavor, and I love this area too! Definitely adding this one to my Austin rotation.

Just came here for the first time today and I'm obsessed. This is probably the best pho I've had in Austin. The broth is incredible!! Even my boyfriend who's never been a big pho person absolutely fell in love with this spot today. We also tried their banh mi and it was also fantastic. Service was great! Everyone working here was so kind. We also really enjoyed that they have an open kitchen! Really lovely restaurant and I'm so excited to come back :)

Great pho! Soup, noodle and meat combo are all really awesome. This place is busy during dinner time, you might have to wait for a bit. Ambiance is really good for friends and family. Will be back to try other dishes.

Soooooo good! The cat fish is amazing! The pho is authentic and flavorful. The workers are super friendly. Restaurant is clean. Hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Every time I come to town I will be visiting!

Chrissy N.

This spot has been consistent with their Vietnamese speciality dishes. They offer a number specialty Vietnamese dishes that typical Vietnamese "Pho" restaurant won't. Must tries are the baked catfish where you can roll in rice paper yourself. The cat fish comes with 3 sizes, S,M,L but they never have S whenever I ask for it. :-(. They offer two dipping sauces, traditional mam nem or typical fish sauce. We love their mam nem so always opt for that. You have to preorder the cat fish as it takes 1.5 hour to bake. I recommend to call in to order before you drive there. Their hot sizzling plates with baguette are great too. Get the combo so you can get the full experience of all the "protein" options. We are also very fond of their pho especially the one in the stone pot. Parking is plenty and they're right next to Costco. Very convenient if you live far away and want to try their baked catfish and run Costco errands after.

Service was decent, and the food came out quickly and hot. I ordered the pho combo, which came with a generous portion. The flavor was on the slightly bland or mild side (very subjective, and I ddin't add extra sauce), but I appreciated that it didn't seem to have MSG. Unlike some pho places where I usually feel thirsty afterward, this felt lighter, which was a big plus. Overall, it was a decent experience. I'll be back to try their bánh mì, Thai iced tea, and Vietnamese coffee.

Overall: 4.6/5 [dine In] We visited on two separate occasions and left both times feeling this is a solid Vietnamese restaurant. Service is consistently great, with veggies brought out promptly. The menu is extensive, so we are already looking forward to coming back to explore more dishes. One thing to note is that the veal rare steak pho and thit kho quet va com chay chao are no longer available, though they remain on the menu. The One Pho Hot Stone Special ($38): Sliced wagyu beef, beef short rib, flank brisket and poached egg. If you visit, try this at least once. The broth alone was so good that we didn't need to add any extra condiments, and the quality of the wagyu and short rib made it genuinely impressive and well worth the price. Pho Combo: Rare Beef, Brisket, Tripe, Flank and Beef Ball/Pho Dac Biet ($16.45) + Fresh Rice Noodles ($1.50): The fresh rice noodles fall somewhere between wide and regular thin rice noodles. While decent, it was not as flavorful or satisfying as the hot stone special, and the meat simply does not compare to the wagyu and short rib. We had to add Sriracha and hoisin sauce to give it more flavor. Bo La Lot ($24): Everything came out super fresh, and the banh hoi was exceptional, even folded into spring rolls. The bo la lot was enjoyable, though we have had better elsewhere. Our one gripe was the portion of meat, as only ten pieces did not feel like enough to pair with all the banh hoi and spring rolls. Hu Tieu Kho Trong Sot Thit ($15.95): Don't let the presentation fool you. The sauce makes it look unappetizing but it tasted absolutely delicious once you mix everything together. It was full of flavor and the best hu tieu kho we have had in Austin so far. House Favorite Combo/Bo Ne Dac Biet ($19.95): The baguette was fresh and even better when dipped in the sauce and pate. Everything on the plate came together nicely, hitting that umami sweet spot without being overpowering or salty. Fresh Kumquat Sugarcane Juice ($6.95 S / $9.45 L): Very refreshing and a great way to round out the meal.

Doan L.

This place is legit when you see that it is full of local Viet on a Sunday afternoon! The menu is pretty good with authentic Vietnamese food but we normally come here for the S1 Ribeye Hot Stone Pho. They bring out the meat and noodles separately and then the soup in the stone bowl. This time the asked me if I wanted all the greens-- lime wedges, basil leaves, jalapeño slices and bean sprouts. I never eat the bean spouts but use everything else and it always seems a waste of bean sprouts when I don't use them so I was thankful to have them hold the bean sprouts. Be careful as the soup is extremely hot and the hot stone bowl keeps it that way for a while. You fill the bowl to the brim after adding all the meats and noodles. My only complaint is the noodles. They are fresh and just the right texture... very good! But for some reason the always seem to get cut up after I put them into the bowl. Not sure if they cut them before hand but they end up cut short when put them in the bowI. I prefer long slurpy noodles over cut noodles that's hard to pick up with chopsticks. Overall I still give it 5 stars and this one of the two best pho spots in the greater Austin area

Ariadna S.

We went to this restaurant while waiting for Costco's tire shop to finish with the car. They were busy but we were able to get a table for two for breakfast/brunch time. The staff were welcoming and nice, overall great service with regular "table touching". The pho was delicious. Nice rich broth, plenty of meat and toppings. Great value and quality for the price! Adding tho to my rating of great pho options in town for suuure. The appetizer (pork buns?) was okay, not my personal favorite overall, but glad we tried it. Vietnamese iced coffee was mostly ice and not a lot of coffee. When they first brought them to the table both were just half way full (but considering amount of ice it was likely much less). So we had to ask to fix both. For $6 a cup, filling them only half way would be an actual crime lol But they made it right this time. Overall worth coming back for the pho and perhaps try other menu options as they have so much more to try.

Sunny C.

One of the better pho spots here while you wait for your Costco tire to get patched. The normal sized portion is really big. Prices are good. Service was also really good. The appetizer we got was the brisket bun. For $10 it was kind of underwhelming for the price, size, & what the dish was. The viet coffee although good was also kind of disappointing since it came in 75% ice and barely any coffee. The staff was nice enough to fill it some more. But there was so much ice it was not also. Other than that definitely come here for the pho. The menu is actually quite extensive.

Shellie H.

Food is sooo authentic! Call an hour ahead for the cat fish! Really hard finding consistent vietname food. Small family owned and mom and pop but the best Vietnamese food in town!

Stephanie C.

This hidden gem, wonderful! Let's talk about the ambiance, the place is pretty chill and quite hidden, but has amazing customer service. My friend and I were seated immediately and received our food quickly. I had the beef and tripe with fresh noodles P5 and she had the B4 and said that it really hit the spot. The pho was a little bland, but I've heard that they are known for their other dishes, specifically the bò né, so if you have a chance to go, get that.

Lyla A.

I am glad we tried this place. The service was good and their menu had some unique items on it that you wouldn't find at most Vietnamese restaurants. The pho was phine (see what I did there?) it wasn't as rich and complex as some pho broths are. I liked it but it was definitely light on flavor. The meat seemed like it was good quantity and the portion was good too. My husband had a dish with tomato sauce, different meats and an egg and it came with a baguette. The bread was excellent. So light yet crispy. The dish was unique and tasty but he wouldn't order it again. Give them a try!

It's a friendly diner style atmosphere. The food is terrific, and the prices are the high-end of modest. I chose the bone marrow appetizer with sliced baguette and pâté instead of an entrée, and I have no regrets. My partner chose marinated sliced beef with rice. Both dishes were fabulous. I had never had sugarcane juice before, it's a lot less sweet than I thought it might be, and I think I would have that again. My partner had a iced Thai tea, and it looked really pretty. I don't recommend the hot tea because, like so many restaurants around, the water is brewed in a large container and sits around so it needs aeration or it tastes stale. This is the second time we've eaten here and both times the food has been perfection. *chef's kiss read more

Do you know how Korean short ribs, kalbi, are expensive and now costs around $27 at a Korean restaurant? Introducing Vietnamese short ribs at The One Pho for only $17! It tastes just as good for $10 less than a Korean restaurant. This is a good alternative. I also enjoyed their freshly squeezed sugar cane kumquat juice. The sugar cane reminds me of when I visited Taiwan. read more

Checked out the new Vietnamese "The One Pho" and it seems to us that they are still tweaking (or should be) their menu and recipes. I ordered the beef with lemongrass vermicelli bowl. Great presentation and lots of protein, but considering the price is a bit higher than most of our other favorite Vietnamese restaurants, at least you got a bit more. I enjoyed the meal but felt like the beef was so tender that it didn't have that slight beef 'chew' you get when stir frying. It was as if the meat was pounded into tenderness, but don't know how to describe it any other way. The other thing is that the meal left me with a very strong garlic after taste. Very strong for a couple of hours afterwards. I think they could make an adjustment there for sure. The noodles were nice and soft, no complaints there. We also ordered a Bahn mi (ham?) to split between us. The presentation, again, was great and we thought the insides were spot on, really good and tasty. But the bread ruined it for us. This was that soft "Subway" style bread and we really think Bahn Mi's should be only on french baguette style bread. We noticed some of the pho dishes on the menu and felt that the prices were higher than what you see at most local Vietnamese restaurants. We'd have to feel like the extra price would show up in the quality or quantity of what we order. We'll give it a few months and check back. Maybe they will make some tweaks or adjustments, hopefully. read more

Never coming back. Tried this a year ago and wasn't impressed but came back today bc I needed a quick hot lunch. I figured they've had time to work out the kinks, but no. Pretty much got our entire order wrong. We got a smoked brisket pho and a chicken (dark meat) pho, both with no cilantro. The waitress repeated the order back to us and everything was correct. It took almost 30 min for the food to come out. Real pho places can bring them out in 5. The food first came out with a bunch of cilantro. When we said we ordered no cilantro, the server took it back and then came out 2 min later saying "no cilantro". Except all he has done was pick out the 2 largest pieces. There were lots of cilantro still floating in there and it reeked of the horrible cilantro smell. The chicken pho came out with white meat, not dark like we asked. This was the most overcooked and dry chicken I've had for pho. It was stringy and super tough to chew There will be no 3rd visit from us. read more

So good and fresh! The Wagyu pho offered so much meat and came with fresh noodles, amazing! The Bo Ne was delicious ! I always order that if we see it on a menu since it's hard to come by. We ordered that as an appetizer and it did not disappoint. The bone marrow was fine, good but don't think I would order again. Mi Kho was delicious! Don't need to add anything extra to it. Don't forget to get the sugarcane w kumquat, so refreshing. read more

The pho here is great and the service is fast and polite. My partner is gluten free, so pho has become a staple meal when we're looking for something quick, but hearty. I've been struggling to find a place in Austin that is both quick and easy but also high quality, and I think we've finally got it! So far we've been here three times and each time the broth has been rich and flavorful and the cuts of meat have been good quality. The spring rolls and coconut shrimp are amazing too for us not GF folks. I don't usually leave reviews, but I was inspired by how positive our experiences have been and had to say something. So far in Austin we've tried the pho at pho please, 888, and 1618 Asian fusion, which have all been great, but lacked either ease or sacrificed quality. This is my Goldilocks place and I am very pleased to have found it. read more

It's new, convenient location, and variety of dish selections. Inside is very bright, and clean. We tried the pho since it's cold out. And chose one meat platter. I liked the broth and the volume of extra large bowls, however I'm not a fan of the meat dish at all. To me, it was plated like a breakfast served for dinner. Additionally to that, one of the meat was weird texture and taste, muchy and fishy. Just not for me. But I still have 5 stars because the staff was working hard and friendly. Went here during soft opening. Thoroughly enjoyed our food. Bo ne has great flavors and authentic. The baguette could be more airy but that's as good as you can get in Austin. Pho has great flavors as well with fresh pho noodle - similar to the ones in Vietnam. Some of the menu price were high like the wagyu stone pot pho (which we didn't order) which I think you can get at Sip Pho for only $20. Will go back again but won't order the expensive pho. I refuse to pay more than $20 for pho lol read more

I read the reviews and was excited to try this new restaurant, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The spring roll was bland, and the beef lemongrass was just a portion of beef with flavorless white rice for $17, which ended up making my husband sick. The shrimp pho was overly salty, and the sweet potato noodles were bland, with shrimp that was so tough it was inedible. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place--it's probably the worst in town. While the location is good and parking is easy, the prices are far too high for the quality of the food very low. We spent almost $100 and when I got home had to throw away most of the food My husband felt sick. I felt sick and now I question the hygiene of this place. Definitely will never go back and would not recommend it read more

The service was good, the food was average. I was so excited to try Bun Bo Hue, but it turned out so oily and the flavor was overwhelming with the chilly oil. Does it taste like authentic Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue? No. It tastes like the premade glass can flavor from the supermarket. The meat was overcooked. The bowl itself came loaded with meat--they definitely weren't skimping to save money here. The meat-to-noodle ratio felt great, and every bite actually had substance instead of leaving me fishing around for toppings. As for the broth, I landed somewhere in the middle. It wasn't quite as clear or light as I personally prefer, leaning toward a fattier, milkier undertone that almost reminded me of a Vietnamese pho take on tonkotsu. The flavor itself was undeniably very good, but the richness may have been a bit too much for me personally. One way I usually judge how much I love a pho broth is whether I want to sip the bowl down to the very end, and this one wasn't quite light enough for me to want to do that. I've had richer and deeper pho flavors elsewhere, but I still appreciated the flavor profile here and could absolutely see why this place is so popular. It feels hearty, comforting, and satisfying in a way that clearly resonates with many people. Despite how packed the restaurant was, the atmosphere ended up being surprisingly pleasant. Service moved very quickly, which honestly impressed me given how busy everything felt. Even with the crowd, I didn't dislike the spacing or setup at all--the restaurant still felt comfortable, and the sound of people enjoying their food all around added to the lively, welcoming energy rather than making it feel overwhelming. Overall, Pho Phong Lưu ended up being one of those places where I completely understood the hype, even if it didn't become my personal favorite pho spot. While the broth leaned richer than my preference, I still enjoyed the experience and definitely look forward to trying other dishes next time.

But the pho. First, they only have one kind on the menu. The broth is pretty uninspiring and doesn't have much of a Vietnamese flavor profile to me. The noodles also seemed like pretty obvious dried boxed noodles... and not good ones. They stayed weirdly translucent and plasticky, like they never fully hydrated. They're not silky and opaque the way pho noodles should be. We also got the calamari appetizer this time. It was way too salty and weirdly fishy. We couldn't tell if the fishiness was coming from the squid itself or from some fish sauce seasoning, but either way it was too aggressive. And I'm not normally shy about fish sauce. Service was nice enough, and they do have a good beer selection. But after two visits and two disappointing meals, I think we're done.

And honestly it's better than any fancy restaurant out there. I love the amount of plants in the space and the TV plays cooking videos and it's so nice to watch while waiting for your food! Speaking of waiting for your food, the food comes out super quick! Within 1 minute of ordering my drink, it came out! And a couple minutes after follows the food. The service is amazing as well, the servers are super sweet and are very quick to serve you and get what you need. The menu offers a bunch of things, appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and the drinks! I love how the desserts and drinks are also Vietnamese (most of the time I notice restaurants tend to have the basic selection of fountain drinks and desserts, but this restaurant has a wide variety of drinks and desserts so you can try something new every time you come here!) Most of all, there's a bunch of vegan dishes which I absolutely love. We came in August 30th, around 8PM, nothing really out of the norm, ordered our food, I had gotten the (Bo Luc Lac) or shaking beef, and my wife got the spicy beef and lemongrass soup with noodles as usual. The Shaking beef was inedible, absolutely horrible, I'm not sure what cut of beef is used but it was almost like chewing on a steel toe boot, or perhaps a car tire. Spat it out within moments and sent it back, and got it removed from the tab with the server apologizing nonstop, which of course isn't her fault. 5 minutes later, my wife stares at the bowl like she just had a heart attack, and I glance over, and of course, a dead ROACH. Somehow was in the food, and it didn't float up to the top until HALFWAY she was finished eating. Absolutely vile, I cannot comprehend how a roach even got in there, was it already in the big pot of soup they use for other people's orders? Was it alive in our bowl and the steaming hot broth was poured on top and killed it? Safe to say, we didn't make a massive scene; alerted the server, she promptly got the bowl from us, and we didn't need to touch the tab for obvious reasons. The only issue is I would've loved to have spoken to a manager because this is a major health hazard, and roaches can carry E. Coli and Salmonella... I tipped our server cash regardless of the outcome of the food since this wasn't her fault and she did well in taking care of us, but we will never be back, and I suggest everyone reading this review to go elsewhere. A Cockroach in a restaurant bowl of food for a guest? Imagine how many other guests ATE their food without ever seeing one, or if it was in the massive pot how many guests ate orders without realizing there was a roach being boiled in their food. STAY. AWAY. Just disgusting.

By 12:15 PM there was still no movement on the order so I called and no one picked up. They called back at 1:03 PM and we communicated through text from there. The experience was incredibly frustrating. They apologized for the late reply and asked if I wanted to pick up instead, but I had placed a delivery order for noon and it still had not arrived. The explanations they gave did not add up, citing slow Chowbus delivery and a broken printer among other reasons, but none of that explained why the food was not ready on time. They said the food was ready when they called at 1:03 PM, which raises the question of why it was not prepared by 11:40 AM for a noon delivery. They also mentioned waiting 30 minutes for the Chowbus driver, yet I received a text from my driver at 1:36 PM saying they were still waiting on the food. The order did not arrive until 2:21 PM, well past lunch and on my husband's birthday. To make matters worse, they informed me they did not have the sticky rice since it requires a pre-order. We had placed our order 10 hours in advance so that was confusing and disappointing since the sticky rice was the entire reason we ordered from them. No compensation was offered until I asked for it. They ultimately offered a free meal and dessert so we requested the sticky rice and their avocado ice cream and picked it up that weekend. Now for the food & drinks. Coconut Coffee / Caphe Dua ($7): Very sweet and I had to dilute it and split it into two drinks. The coconut flavor was prominent but the coconut flakes were too big and too many for my taste. Fish Cake Banh Mi / Cha Ca Da Nang ($8): I thought this was just the fish cake but it came in a baguette. I just wish there was a bit more broccoli than just 3 pieces . I love the purple rice and everything was cooked to perfection. Healthy meal and very reasonable priced! Good bowl size * beef bugulgi bowl: 3/5 beef was shaved very thin where it was breaking apart. Meat was very little compared to the amount of rice. It was less flavorful compared to the spicy pork which was well seasoned. * rice sticks in red sauce: 5/5 best to eat it when it's fresh. The texture and sauce is so well balance. It's not spicy but the sauce is what makes this dish and highlight the rice sticks! So good! And the best I've had! Do I recommend this place? Yes! Come support this 2 year old family business! Fresh ingredients made with love and is a gem in Austin! Everything is packed really well and the owners are super nice sweet people!! I can't wait to return to get other items I didn't get to try because they were sold out! I came late afternoon close to closing time and there weren't a whole lot left. So come early to grab em!

I got here a few times and usually in the evening. The only part of going in the evening is that…read morethey can run out of food, so be careful coming later in the evening. I like that it is part convenience store and packs food ready to be served. There are even 2 small tables there if you want to just eat there as well. I had a few dishes there and they were great. I got a pork bowl before and the pork was great flavor and was tender. I am hoping to visit again and try to get other dishes to try.

Once you navigate your way through the winding paths of the complex here, you'll notice that half the restaurant is given over to tables with grills and the other half are just regular dining tables. You have the option of grilling your own Korean barbecue as long as there are two orders (no solo customer) or just order off the menu. Looking at the menu, you'll be very disappointed in the wine list and they only have a handful of beers and sake, but that is not surprising for a Korean restaurant. However, where they lose some points here are the cheap wooden chopsticks, no cloth napkins and lack of ambience, along with old ceiling tiles, concrete floor and the lame background elevator music. With that said, once the food hits the table, all those shortcomings dissipate. If you want the more immersive experience, you can grill your own, but if I wanted to cook my own dinner, I would've stayed at home. I always order the beef Bulgogi which is the first thing on the menu. You don't get huge portions here, but all the little extras on the table make up for it. Attentive service added to the overall enjoyment of the meal.

We came here for dinner on a Friday night around 6:30 pm. We were seated immediately with no wait…read moretime. I ordered their japchae 18 and my husband ordered their dolsot bibimbab 18. I was very excited to try their japchae cause I normally love japchae when it's one of the side dishes. Their japchae, however, was very garlicky and does not have an authentic taste. My husband's bibimbab was good, nothing special. There was a variety of banchans/side dishes; 11 total! Unfortunately, most of the banchans were not very flavorful and had a light subtle taste vs the banchans I normally like, which have a stronger flavor. Their kimchi was very sour, for some reason.... Overall, it was just okay. I don't know if we'll come back to try some other dishes. I just wish their banchans had more flavor because I would totally come back for just that! They also have kbbq. For how high they charge, I don't recommend cause I'm not sure how authentic they are.
