Spectacular! The best fillet in Aspen. The Caesar salad is an experience you would never want to miss. The fillet was succulent. The crab cakes were unbelievable. And all the sides are perfect for pairing. The wine selection is great! If you'd like a fine steak with an elegant dining experience is your place!

Monarch Steakhouse came highly recommended through a friend. We thought everything was great. The shrimp cocktails were really good. The Ceasar I thought it was just OK. The table side cart was cool but nothing I haven't seen before. We ordered a bone in fillet special medium rare but it came out medium, as long as it wasn't well done loll. the sides were great. The broccolini and the gratin potatoes were really tasty. Service is great. Our server was very attentive. Very nice. The vibes are great. Will definitely go back for sure.

They charge you more for what you order!!! Not okay!! I ordered 1 soup they brought me 2 and charged me for 2!! Not okay BE AWARE

Service needs to be improved !!!! Get with the program. We got the bill and they overcharged us for many items and when we spoke to the waiter, waiter was very rude. We had to speak to the manager, and the manager was even router. They charge you extra for everything. The menu prices are not the prices you're gonna be paying just FYI be very mindful.

I don't really want to leave a bad review but when you are spending $400+ on a dinner and the food isn't great and the service is pretty bad sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade. My opinion of this restaurant is that it's very overpriced for the quality and the quantity that you get. Your steak comes with no sides, which a lot of steak places are doing nowadays but when you spend $15-20 per side and the portions are for an individual person that seems pretty steep for me. I got the special which was a 10oz bone-in filet. It was just okay, and I tried the Diver Scallops which were very overcooked and my wife's lobster she got on top of her pasta was so overcooked we couldn't even cut through it. If you come here I'd suggest staying away from any sort of seafood it doesn't seem like they are well prepared to cook those properly and if you want a steak the meat here is good, just nothing amazing especially for the price point.

5 star service, food was amazing & atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We had the Caesar salad, made table side. This experience is a must when dining at the Monarch. Shared the Tomahawk, oscar style, with whipped potatoes & caramelized onions. The steak was tender and well seasoned. Finished off our dinner with expresso ice cream. Atmosphere is classy, you can dress business casual or dress up for a special occasion and still feel comfortable. Overall fabulous and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful meal at the Monarch. The ambience/decor is awesome, drinks are great and food is even better! We had the tableside Caesar, filet and finished with a delicious sticky toffee pudding.

Monarch Steakhouse is wonderful. First of all, the staff is so kind, and the restaurant is so classic Aspen. When you go you HAVE to get the Caesar salad, they make it at your table and it's the best I've ever had. Besides that, all the meat is very good. I am always content. I will say the sommelier last time did steer us wrong with a cheaper wine pairing that was mediocre, but the food didn't disappoint. If you're in Aspen and want steak, you have to check it out! Only good thing is the Ceasar Salad. Everything else sucks. Steak was severely undercooked considering it's a steak house.

Special occasion dressy, but not required. You won't be out of place with jacket and tie or black dress. I'm sure jeans and polo are the other end of the spectrum

I came with my flight crew (just a couple of pilots in addition) and we just sat at the bar. I had the kale rotisserie chicken salad. The peanut dressing does have soy sauce so it is not gluten free, so they brought me a champagne vinaigrette instead. It was delicious. They are pet friendly and have outdoor seating! Servers were very friendly although the serving can take a bit longer, depending on how busy they are. The French Dip came with lots of prime rib and a cup of Au jus, with horseradish to cut down on the heaviness. Crispy chicken sandwich was my favorite! It came sliced in three so the portion was massive. The chicken had more of a Japanese katsu style breading on it so it was super crispy. The burger was also a solid choice. Great bun to filling ratio and the spicy slaw was a complemented the burger well. The fries were pricey and I didn't realize that they weren't a side but an appetizer, but these fries were super crispy and delicious. You could tell that they were fried freshly on the spot. The creamy sauce it came with paired well with them! Deviled eggs were savory and had a kick from the pickle relish. This was my first time eating creamed corn and I liked it! It was warm and creamy, with a slight kick from the jalapeño slices.

We don't mind paying for an exceptional meal, but this simply wasn't it. It ended up being the most expensive dining experience of our trip, yet the quality didn't come close to justifying the cost. The service made the experience even worse. Because our party was larger than six, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. We normally tip well over 20% for good service, but it honestly felt like our server knew the tip was guaranteed and put very little effort into taking care of us. Our orders came out incorrectly, we were charged for items we never received, and overall the service was inattentive from start to finish.
