We went there sometime ago as a group of 7 after looking at great reviews and affordable prices. I can't began to describe how horrible the experience was. One girl at the counter was rude, constantly eyeing us and few other customers up and down in condescending way. I saw her peeking into a customer's laptop and later and later saw tilting over to look at my husband's phone when he was scrolling, so inappropriate. My tacos arrived with tortillas that looked chewed on on the edges, and when I pointed it out, she said they "came from the packet like that." But later changed after rolling eyes at us. On top of it all, the place is right next to a weed shop, so the smell was everywhere. Definitely not returning and needless to say DO NOT recommend. read more

We are not from Aspen, but went looking for this restaurant because their menu looked excellent and affordable. Apparently the building or the block is under construction. I could see the sign through the construction fencing, but had no idea if this was closed or just temporarily closed could never find out. Hope they are not closed permanently. In Aspen for the day, we hiked for a view, then looked for lunch. Yelp ratings suggested Silverpeak Grill as good, affordable, outdoor seating. We had a bit of a hard time finding it because it is underground, with the outdoor patio under a stairway! As we entered we noticed Silverpeak is paired with a cannabis shop of the same name. Nobody was eating, and a group of young people was sitting around talking and laughing. One jumped up to take our order, and others jumped up to prepare our meal. Stumbled across this now car little surprise in downtown Aspen (thank you Yelpers!) This is a counter service restaurant serving up all sorts of pub style treats. I got the fish tacos that were loaded with a piece of Wahoo and slaw and they were just fantastic. My side of fries were fresh cut and to die for! My meal cost $30 which is a steal in this area. We come here year after year because it is the most affordable but still delicious place in Aspen! If you can't afford the ridiculous prices of Aspen and want a quick bite where you don't need a reservation, this is it. Plus they have a small but still good selection of beer and wine. Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is amazing! We always have quick and smooth service. The food is phenomenal--best French fries in all of Aspen! I know it's odd that it is downstairs but the seating is comfortable and I always leave really happy that I came. I order the same quinoa and kale salad each time because its perfection. Luckily my friend recommended and knew this place otherwise I would've never found it. It's one of those restaurants down one level from the street level. It's nothing fancy and there some seating inside and outside but not much. Seems more like a takeout place but it has good fast food. We ordered the chicken and fish po boy sandwiches and they were delicious. Nice and crispy outside with moist meat on the inside and good bread. The portion was a decent size and filled me up. We were at the Food & Wine Festival and they don't feed you a real meal there. Had already invested in $4k for food and wine. Didn't want to keep spending a lot of money. Our hotel charged us $80 for a hamburger and an appetizer and two beers, so we didn't want to eat there. We found this cool place and ordered a fish po-boy and tacos! Yum Yum Yum. Don't skip out on the hidden-away "healthy fast food" here. You won't find better food at a better price in a town like Aspen. The bison burger I had was juicy, and the toppings on it (Rayburn Burger) were great. Guac doesn't really work well on a warm burger, but it's not bad either. I just couldn't taste it that well among the onions and arugula. There is limited seating, so be sure to get there early if you want to be sure of a spot. Don't be put off by the attached dispensary or bar, either. The restaurant and the other two venues are artfully separated so that you can enjoy one at a time. Ended up in downtown Aspen for lunch after hiking all morning. Everything was busy with lines of people waiting. I did a quick search and found this hidden gem. It's tucked away below street level next to a dispensary. We ordered a Philly Cheese Steak and fries. The cheesesteak was so good! The meat was tender and seasoned well on a fresh roll. The French fries.....fresh cut and crispy. So good to have fresh fries after the frozen fast food stuff. It appears to be family owned and they are working hard to make good food! read more

Burrito could use a bit more flavor. At least the sweet potato fries were decent. One thing I do want to mention is the staff proactiveness. None. There was a piece of trash in the walkway where they keep and clean food basket, 4 different staff walked past it and no one picked it up. Some of them even stepped on it, still no one bother to pick it up and trash it. After 15 minutes of neglect, the cashier lady kicked it under the cabinet under the food baskets. We got a medium rare buffalo burger with the fix ins (tomato, onion, pickles). It was okay. The cobb salad was a hefty serving and was actually delicious. The kale salad and the side of fries was also good. We tried their chicken quesadilla (they put the pico inside the quesadilla), and I should've known - guacamole was extra ($1.75). While Texans are stuck in Aspen due to a wild winter storm, they find comfort in a divine burger. This place was tucked away down some stairs but I'm glad we found it.
