Silverpeak Grill - Fish Tacos and Sweet Potato Fries - American Near Me - Aspen, Colorado

We went there sometime ago as a group of 7 after looking at great reviews and affordable prices. I can't began to describe how horrible the experience was. One girl at the counter was rude, constantly eyeing us and few other customers up and down in condescending way. I saw her peeking into a customer's laptop and later and later saw tilting over to look at my husband's phone when he was scrolling, so inappropriate. My tacos arrived with tortillas that looked chewed on on the edges, and when I pointed it out, she said they "came from the packet like that." But later changed after rolling eyes at us. On top of it all, the place is right next to a weed shop, so the smell was everywhere. Definitely not returning and needless to say DO NOT recommend. read more

Average food needing more flavor. Assortment of choices including Mexican and American. Strange but not surprising that counter ordered food still asked for a tip. Ingredients seemed fresh and outside dining area was pleasant. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my tortilla chicken soup, chock full of veggies. One of the best I've had. Service was fine. This is a hidden place down a staircase but worth the steps. Nothing fancy. read more

Love this place. They moved to a new location right across from the skate park. Great big huge patio for dining outside on a nice day. Television is inside usually showing sporting events. Nice portions. Great food. And the staff is always friendly. One of my favorite places in town. read more

The prices are normal person high, but Aspen cheap. Everything I've tried here has been pretty good. Got a solid shrimp po-boy sandwich, good tacos and the fries. I would put this above Zane's and CP burger. 3.6/5 read more

Great food, the wahoo tacos are my fave but, everything is good here. Fresh and delicious. It's hard to find food in Aspen that isn't wildly expensive. This place is fantastic. read more

We are not from Aspen, but went looking for this restaurant because their menu looked excellent and affordable. Apparently the building or the block is under construction. I could see the sign through the construction fencing, but had no idea if this was closed or just temporarily closed could never find out. Hope they are not closed permanently. Will try back if we're in Aspen again. read more

Troy and his staff make great food at reasonable prices. Best burrito in town and great shrimp tacos

In Aspen for the day, we hiked for a view, then looked for lunch. Yelp ratings suggested Silverpeak Grill as good, affordable, outdoor seating. We had a bit of a hard time finding it because it is underground, with the outdoor patio under a stairway! As we entered we noticed Silverpeak is paired with a cannabis shop of the same name. Nobody was eating, and a group of young people was sitting around talking and laughing. One jumped up to take our order, and others jumped up to prepare our meal. I had a fish sandwich, spouse had a pita sandwich. Hers was good, mine was ok. A rare event: I did not finish mine, and I'm in the clean plate club. Scores: 4 location, 3 atmosphere, 4 food, 3 service, 3 value, for an overall score of 3. read more

Stumbled across this now car little surprise in downtown Aspen (thank you Yelpers!) This is a counter service restaurant serving up all sorts of pub style treats. I got the fish tacos that were loaded with a piece of Wahoo and slaw and they were just fantastic. My side of fries were fresh cut and to die for! My meal cost $30 which is a steal in this area. I will be going again during this vacation, great value for excellent food and service! read more

We come here year after year because it is the most affordable but still delicious place in Aspen! If you can't afford the ridiculous prices of Aspen and want a quick bite where you don't need a reservation, this is it. Plus they have a small but still good selection of beer and wine. The food is delicious. read more

This restaurant is amazing The food was great the hospitality 5 stars the owner is a down to earth and a really nice guy. He hosted our ski club's group dinner at an honest price. Yes I recommend this place. Quick stop for a burger and tots. Ordered at the counter, no crowd on Sun at noon. Pleasant service and quick prop of food. The burger was well prepared with onions snd cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, all included. It's in the lower level, below ground level so no view of anything but yr walls. There is indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Website says open til 9 we arrived at 7:45 and told they were closing. Disappointed in expecting great mex Tex food

Shrimp tacos pretty much immediately fall apart. While yummy they should be doing double tortilla.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This place is amazing! We always have quick and smooth service. The food is phenomenal--best French fries in all of Aspen! I know it's odd that it is downstairs but the seating is comfortable and I always leave really happy that I came. I order the same quinoa and kale salad each time because its perfection. My kids beg us to go here every week. read more

Stopped here after a 3 day backpacking trip. Had a great experience! The menu was diverse. I ordered a power bowl, great serving size and very tasty! Excellent tacos. Kids meals pretty legit too. Like that kids meal can have chips and guac as a side.

Luckily my friend recommended and knew this place otherwise I would've never found it. It's one of those restaurants down one level from the street level. It's nothing fancy and there some seating inside and outside but not much. Seems more like a takeout place but it has good fast food. We ordered the chicken and fish po boy sandwiches and they were delicious. Nice and crispy outside with moist meat on the inside and good bread. The portion was a decent size and filled me up. Price was ok considering Aspen is more expensive. read more

Don't skip out on the hidden-away "healthy fast food" here. You won't find better food at a better price in a town like Aspen. The bison burger I had was juicy, and the toppings on it (Rayburn Burger) were great. Guac doesn't really work well on a warm burger, but it's not bad either. I just couldn't taste it that well among the onions and arugula. There is limited seating, so be sure to get there early if you want to be sure of a spot. Don't be put off by the attached dispensary or bar, either. The restaurant and the other two venues are artfully separated so that you can enjoy one at a time. (The bar and dispensary may be in the same room; I honestly couldn't tell from the restaurant). read more

We were at the Food & Wine Festival and they don't feed you a real meal there. Had already invested in $4k for food and wine. Didn't want to keep spending a lot of money. Our hotel charged us $80 for a hamburger and an appetizer and two beers, so we didn't want to eat there. We found this cool place and ordered a fish po-boy and tacos! Yum Yum Yum. You order at the counter but they bring the food to you with a smile. The place is clean and the food was excellent. Would eat there daily if I lived there. haha Got food and beers for under $50. FABULOUS! Highly recommend. read more

A wide variety of menu options, quick and reasonably priced. Oh and the food was delicious. I had the burger which was one of the best that I've had in quite some time! Ended up in downtown Aspen for lunch after hiking all morning. Everything was busy with lines of people waiting. I did a quick search and found this hidden gem. It's tucked away below street level next to a dispensary. We ordered a Philly Cheese Steak and fries. The cheesesteak was so good! The meat was tender and seasoned well on a fresh roll. The French fries.....fresh cut and crispy. So good to have fresh fries after the frozen fast food stuff. It appears to be family owned and they are working hard to make good food! read more

Tried the Fish Tacos and Shrimp Tacos. Both were perfect and absolutely delicious. Good and fast service.

Burrito could use a bit more flavor. At least the sweet potato fries were decent. One thing I do want to mention is the staff proactiveness. None. There was a piece of trash in the walkway where they keep and clean food basket, 4 different staff walked past it and no one picked it up. Some of them even stepped on it, still no one bother to pick it up and trash it. After 15 minutes of neglect, the cashier lady kicked it under the cabinet under the food baskets. Wonder what other trash they keep under other furniture? read more

If you're looking for a quick & reasonably priced meal in Aspen, this will do. We had lunch here after a morning in the slopes. We got a medium rare buffalo burger with the fix ins (tomato, onion, pickles). It was okay. The cobb salad was a hefty serving and was actually delicious. The kale salad and the side of fries was also good. We tried their chicken quesadilla (they put the pico inside the quesadilla), and I should've known - guacamole was extra ($1.75). The quesadilla was okay. There's ample inside seating but we liked sitting on the tall tables with bar stools outside. Food came in a timely manner. Their staff is extremely friendly. read more

Saw the high ratings on yelp and had wanted a salad for dinner. I ordered the southwest salad with no meat topping. It was tasty and it did the trick of hitting the spot. I saw the organic bison burger and decided to try that too. The food came from fresh ingredients and was also freshly prepared. Good place to come and get a quick bite in Aspen. read more

While Texans are stuck in Aspen due to a wild winter storm, they find comfort in a divine burger. This place was tucked away down some stairs but I'm glad we found it. They food was better than most random burger joints. Notable is the tater tots. Never underestimate the true unbridled power of a crunchy tater tot. If I ever find myself in aspen, I'll come back. But maybe like... in the summer. read more

I never had Bison and was recommended, dam it was really good. Best bision i had . The atmosphere is amazing super friendly.

Great spot with quick pick up lunch options at an affordable price. Super fresh food - ordered the Mahi Mahi fish tacos and the kale salad. Both incredibly filling for two and made with quality ingredients. While I don't let this impact my review, imI was put on hold for several minutes and definitely forgotten about as they eventually hung up the phone since it was off the hook. That being said, still a pretty seamless pick up process. Would love to come back here. read more
