Great vibe and good drinks, prices are very reasonable for Aspen. We especially liked the mezcal drinks, and the martini was cold and well balanced. The interiors is very cozy. My only complaint is that the close a bit early, things were just starting to pick up when they did last call. read more

Really had a struggle meeting up with some friends there. Location is great, ambiance is great, but Saturday night these guys can't handle any sort of bar atmosphere. "OK to start a tab? 2 beers". "No, if you're with them you have to be on their tab." "But that's like 15 people that have already eaten food and been here for an hour." "That's how it is man." "OK 2 beers" One hour later.... "Your share is $98. Pay here." F this place and the pink Hawaiian shirt wearing manager that couldn't recognize a good time in a Las Vegas Chuck E Cheese on mushrooms. Nice decor, bad vibe. read more

Nice restaurant with great ambiance. There's plenty of seating (inside/outside), a bar with TV's for sports and a bunch of nice mountain decor all around. Service was great as we spoke with the hostess and our server was very tentative. They have 3 restrooms (Male/Female/Handicap) in the back. I ordered the steak sandwich w/ fries and dipping sauce which was not bad, the steak was just a lil too well done for my taste as I like medium rare). The banana rye old fashion very good along with their coke. Overall, I wouldn't making this one of my go to's when in Aspen. read more

We all know Aspen is pretty expensive when it comes to food. This place is reasonably priced. We ordered a chicken sandwich which was good but the quinoa salad which says spicy was below par. The place is cozy and the waitress was really nice read more

Aspen Public House - New American Near Me - Aspen, Colorado

Unfortunately, Aspen Public House was pretty disappointing. My friend and I came in hoping for a nice dinner, but the atmosphere was incredibly loud, with people at the bar literally yelling at the TV during the football game. I understand it's a public house and some noise is expected, but it made it difficult to enjoy dinner or even have a conversation. Our server also wasn't particularly personable, and the food unfortunately didn't make up for the experience. We started with the burrata appetizer, which was underwhelming and came with only about four slices of bread. For my entrée, I ordered the $31 steak plate. At that price, I expected a tender, flavorful steak, but instead it was extremely chewy and honestly felt more like I was chewing on a wine-soaked tire. The only side was mashed potatoes, so the plate itself also felt pretty lackluster for the price. Overall, for a restaurant in Aspen and at this price point, I expected much more in terms of the food, service, and overall experience. Unfortunately, this just wasn't a place I'd be eager to return to. read more

Extremely spot on. Amazing beer and wine selection. The food is great and reasonably priced. The buratta and arancini were excellent. The La Chouffeur IPA was stellar. The potato and leak soup was really good, it needed a little salt and pepper. Apple struddle was as good as my grandma's. Service was great. The restroom was extremely clean, and from a person who used to build bathrooms, this one is quality. We will be back. read more

Great service. Zucchini balls were awesome. Good Reuben and decent salads. Very good beer selection.

Cool place in a beautiful place but unless you like a bartender that just switches up your drink order right in front of you and then charges you more for his audible, I would pass. read more

Such a cool spot and excellent food/beverage menu. We popped in for lunch. I had the Doug's Chef Salad + salmon. It was delicious. My hubs had the steak French dip. And they had his bourdon, Bookers to boot. We will stop by again before leaving! Our waitress and staff were super friendly and accommodating too! read more

So first off this place was so fucking loud 3 out of the 4 people in our party had to put headphones in just to try to drown out the noise it was so overly and obnoxiously loud we couldn't even have a conversation between the 4 of us, first major red flag. That was the first issue the second issue was when we were all ordering I had ordered the steak sandwich and I had asked the waitress to add avocado to my sandwich not an unusual request I feel like adding something like avocado to a sandwich is pretty common but the waitress starts shaking her head as to say no. She said she is going to have to ask the chef because "He is very particular with his food", so I asked to just put in on the side because clearly it was too much work to put it on the sandwich. We had ordered the rice ball appetizer no salt tasted bland, two of us ordered the steak sandwich, one the burger and one the steak and potatoes. First off both of the steak sandwiches had barely any steak or cheese the steak didn't even go all the way to the back of the roll, the steak and potatoes were shit, she said they tasted like boxed potatoes, grossss. So on top of mediocre food, the chef who was so concerned about the integrity of his food that he couldn't add something like avocado to a sandwich didn't salt shit, everyone had to double down on salt because it was so bland. And the wait staff was also trash, our waitress never checked on us once after our food came and then we literally had to track her down to pay, honestly we should have just walked out. F this place. read more

We went during non rush hour so we got a table immediately. The server was a bit busy even so and running around. We received a little bit of late service, but that's ok since it was still busy. We ordered tapas style to share and were surprised the "pub" fare isn't really pub styled at all. Very on brand for aspen in terms of the pricing and style of food. What disappointed was the taste. There was nothing special about any of the appetizers and half the mussels were missing their meat. Even if it fell out into the large pot you'd think they'd put extras on the plate. That was a bit disappointing as I've never had half my mussels missing their meat. Overall, cool spot for some more affordable eats in Aspen with not a whole lot extra to expect. read more

After we arrived at ASE, we headed immediately to town for lunch. Aspen Public House looked cute and reasonable. Even though it was the off-season, this place was hopping. We had a 30-minute wait, but they seated us a lot faster than that. Given the idyllic weather, we sat outside with a lovely view of Ajax. When a friendly guy at the table next to us noticed my sister was wearing an Olympic Club vest, they started talking, and we discovered we had so many people in common. It really felt like a small town. I forgot to take photos of the menu because I'm on vacation, but I did whip out my camera, much to my brother's chagrin, when the food arrived. My sister-in-law raved about her Burratta with grilled Colorado peaches, heirloom tomatoes, basil, truffle honey, and grilled sourdough ($15). I should have ordered the tasty Fried Chicken Sandwich (fried chicken breast, gruyere, bacon, tomato, caramelized onions, chipotle aioli, avocado spread, ciabatta and fries). It was awesome, and so were the fries. Instead, I had the Pan-Roasted Salmon with sautéed vegetables and caper puttanesca sauce ($25.75), which was good. We all had beers (It is a pub after all!), but I can't remember which ones. Mine was light and refreshing. Service was pleasant, and we lingered over conversations with various diners and people passing by. If you're looking for a fun, casual spot with affordable prices, Aspen Public House is it. read more

After hiking to crater lake in Maroon bells we stopped in the town of aspen for a late lunch/early dinner. We chose this place because the food looked good and it wasn't as fancy as some other places since we were still in our hiking clothes. We asked to be sat outside because we had our dog with us and we had to wait for availability but it was quick. They took my phone number down and texted when our table was ready. I ordered a drink to share, it was delightful. Not too sweet but definitely strong. I cannot remember the name of it and can't locate a drink menu but it had the word aspen in it. We also shared the chicken tempura, we didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Fried chicken wings with no bones and the ranch is home made, very good. We both ended up ordering the steak sandwich with truffle fries. The meat was perfectly cooked and tender. Easy to eat and the bread was crisp but soft. The truffle on the fries was a bit overwhelming but easily removed. We devoured our food quickly and left bellys full and happy. Our waiter was very nice, he got our orders in quickly and the food came out so fast! He answered any questions we had and gave a great recommendation on the drink. I truly appreciated them adding me to a waitlist specifically for the outdoor seating as they were not full indoors. I highly recommend this place, great food and service. read more

Completely unacceptable to not have a baby changing table in a restaurant in 2025. What do you expect people to do, honestly? Let a baby sit in poo for an hour and get diaper rash? Try to lay it down on a cold dirty bathroom floor? Leave in the middle of dinner to go out on the street and find a public bathroom? Newsflash - babies will still get changed - it will just be in your booths, on the chair next to the bathroom, etc. Just had to change mine in our booth in front of other diners because you left us no choice. Absolutely ridiculous - do better. read more

We had a wonderful experience here. After walking over from the Limelight Hotel, we were immediately drawn in by the inviting ambiance and happily put our name on the waitlist. Once seated, Kate took great care of us and did an incredible job managing multiple tables with ease. At one point, she even held our 18-month-old daughter for a few minutes, giving us a brief and much-appreciated break. While we certainly didn't expect any babysitting, the gesture really made us feel welcomed and at home. We ordered the chicken salad and the chicken parmesan, and both dishes were excellent. We'll definitely be back read more

What a fun place with great food. Katie, our server, was wonderful. She made our meal fun. The seating is probably not for everyone but the service, music & food were terrific. Things to try, Burreta was so tasty, steak sandwich was yummy, the trout was cooked perfectly, crab cakes are good and the daily pasta, chicken & bacon Alfredo was delicious. We all shared the brownie with ice cream and the peach tart, worth the calories. read more

Great atmosphere, ok food...but got over charged $51 on my tab at the bar. One item on my tab ways $35 when it was listed as $19 on the menu yet charged for the same item twice.... and then another item on my tab that wasn't ours. WTF!? I don't know if this is how they treat there out of town patrons but check your bill. This felt like an error at first then as the situation evolved by me arguing with the bartender it was "resolved". I feel like they're trying to over charge unsuspecting out of town guests. BE WARY OF YOUR TAB. read more

Meh. Not impressed with this place. I was disappointed because it had a ton of potential to be a go to spot. It's in a great location and the ambiance is moody and classy. The food is all pretty bland and we tried a few things including: spinach salad, pasta of the day, and the salmon. Our waiter was pretty rude and he was rushing us out as quickly as he could. He brought us the check(and wouldn't let us split it) about 5 minutes after he brought out our food. Overall not impressed at all. Also, WAY overpriced in my opinion for the service that comes with it. Thought this was a one off but we talked to some friends that have given this place a couple chances and said the same thing. read more

The food was very good. The pierogies were great and the Reuben was delicious. We went there twice while in town.

Great après ski atmosphere with a wide variety of drink and food choices! Coming here with a group is fun and manageable as they have large tables and booths. We ordered crisp beers on tap and finished off with an espresso martini. They also can make Carajillo's (if you know, you know) which I would 100% recommend. The truffled potato dish was filling but we had to ask for another sauce to balance the amount of potatoes. The steak was brought out on a tray and the server slightly spilled some liquid onto one of our friends jacket, not a big deal but I don't think they realized it was happening. We also asked for salt and pepper shakers, which were quickly brought to our table. Overall great place! read more

Server, Chris was very attentive and gave us amazing recommendations. Burrata was so good with a huge variety of tomatoes that were so crisp and flavorful. Shishito peppers were good but nothing special. The chicken sandwich was very good, I substituted truffle fries and they stole the show. My partner got spinach poppyseed salad and it was also amazing. We were seated right away on a Saturday night at 8:45. read more

Great old time atmosphere. Food was amazing and the service was prompt and attentive. Definitely worth coming back to!

I went back! This time I avoided the quinoa dish because it still makes me mad. I got the arancini and roasted beet salad. Both were good. The arancini were small but flavorful and came 5 to an order. The beets were thinly sliced with a huge bed of arugula on top of it. The others at the table enjoyed the steak sandwich and lamb shank. We sat in the front of house this time, and it was a fun and vibrant vibe - entirely different than the back but both are good. read more

OK. So, you're in downtown Aspen. There's Ferrari's, Lambo's and G-Wagon's rolling down the street. There's a slew of fancy, upscale joints to eat at. And, no one wants to eat like a tourist. So, the corner spot of an old theater really seems like a tourist trap. You'd think it's something akin to Applebee's meets Sizzler with a high price tag. But you'd be wrong. Real craft cocktails. Legit curry. A stellar whiskey menu. And awesome service! They hint at being short staffed, we didn't wait long for food or drink, everyone was friendly and had good recommendations. You just can't go wrong. I mean really, you can't go wrong here. I won't call it a secret, it's on the corner and everyone can see the place through the 6 figure car window tint - but honestly, there's nothing better in downtown Aspen! read more
