Amazing. Just a beautiful experience on all levels. We had the tasting menu and enjoyed every dish and the entire evening. Best food in town right now. What a gem.

This place is pretty new, but I would definitely recommend that you try it out. It's not that the food blew me away, but everything was really good and it was hard to pick a favorite. I guess the pumpkin crème Brûlé was the most interesting, but probably seasonal. I think I have to hand it to them because it was fairly easy to get in, and even though it was their last day of service before closing for the off-season, they were extremely kind and attentive. Which is a pretty impressive because they probably wanted to get out of there. Overall, very much obsessed with their craft, so I recommend that you try it.

Let's be real...everything in Aspen is overpriced...it's a high-end tourist destination... And so as a tourist, we were recommended to try this restaurant. It was amazing!!! Overpriced- yes, a bit! But definitely worth it!! Our table of 5 friends were able to easily make a reservation on a weeknight, the day of. We were seated promptly inside by the friendliest hosts. Service: Prompt & extremely attentive. Everyone gave the greatest recommendations. Ambiance: Chic yet casual Food: - Mushroom & Polenta: This was light and airy and indescribable- a must try!! - Bread Board: Crisp, fresh, and tasty! - Elk Carpaccio: Yummm - Pasta of the Day: The pasta pieces were placed on bone marrow and it was amazing!! So much flavor and the pasta was perfectly made al dente. - Beef/Steak Special: Cooked to order and tender! - Aspen Donuts: This is the best dessert!! Shareable for our group of 5 and we were left stuffed!! You need to get this!!! Overall, this place is phenomenal. Don't think about trying it, just come! You will not be disappointed.

I don't usually yelp but had to for this restaurant! Everything was incredible: the food, ambiance, and the service. The owner was so nice and attentive to the restaurant the whole night. We got the Mushrooms and Polenta and the Baby Lettuces to start which was so unique and amazing. Then we got the salmon and steak with a side of fries. Highly recommend! Beautiful restaurant!

First appetizer option trout. Didn't realized it was smoked. $28. I'd give it a B-/C+. Wasn't for me but also not into fishy.

The winery is on one end of Main Street, and has patio seating (there was live music outside), as well as an interior tasting room. Right off the bat, we didn't think either of the people working were overly friendly, and didn't really make us feel overly welcome. We decided to do two flights of red wine - kind of insane to me that a flight was $40, thank god we had a 2 for 1 discount. The other people in my party also said they'd give the experience a 2 or 3 stars - price was unbelievably expensive (especially when you can go down the street at Carboy and do a flight for half the price). No one was impressed by the service either - for a flight, I'd expect a little more background and explanation of the wines, but the person came and dropped off beakers of all the wine with a quick explanation then left it up to us to pour our own wines. The wines themselves were nothing spectacular either, two from Colorado and two from California grapes (I think) - we liked the blend but that was about it. Unfortunately would not recommend this place to others or come back.

I've attended a few of these events over the years for business and it's a madhouse masquerading as a genteel foodie haven. Of course there are celebrity chefs doing cooking demonstrations that you'd be well advised to catch after the fact on YouTube as you'll never get close enough to actually see or hear anything. And if you're hot for a "meet and greet" you'll have better luck running into Jimmy Hoffa. What really made me laugh is the Trade Show Pavilion where countless vintners, upscale purveyors of foodstuffs and kitchen gadgeteers descend to demonstrate and sample their wares. You would think the "One Percent" would have evolved beyond the need to snarf and hoover everything that isn't nailed down. You'd be wrong. You haven't lived until you've witnessed a lord and lady of the manor food riot possibly involving Prosciutto di Parma and Pellegrino. I had no idea an NPR tote bag could hold that much graft... But there is Aspen. Far away from the civil disturbance, there's endless opportunity for biking and hiking in this Rocky Mountain hideaway. Lucky for me I had an endless supply of Prosciutto Protein for the trip. Two hilarious stars.

THIS IS A COVID REVIEW…read more Thank you Food and Wine magazine for informing me that the Food and Wine Festival will be at home this year. The event was free but viewers donated to support a few different charities. It was during the week which was also a nice treat while I'm at home. I really enjoyed this live virtual event on my computer. It was really well organized and ran super smoothly with no technical difficulties. The recipe book was sent out before the event which was really helpful to both get a preview of the program and cook along. There were also books for and suggestions for the wine and beer tastings so you could prepare beforehand if you wanted to drink along. The event was 2 hours but did run overtime but I was glued to my desktop watching Martha Stewart make peach pavlova and Martha-ritas that it didn't matter. The line up of this event was absolutely fabulous with lots of famous celebrity chefs. They cooked in their own kitchens either at home or in a restaurant setting. Besides Martha, there was also Jacques Pepin (steak grandma), Ayesha Curry (banana fritters with rum sauce), Stephanie Izzard (crumpets with chorizo maple syrup and fresh blueberries), JJ Johnson (Gullah shrimp burgers), Kwame Onwuachi (Turned Cornmeal with seared snapper and sauce creole), Kristen Kish (gnudi). All the dishes looked so pretty. There was a Southern flair this year which was interesting. The food was very chef worthy. I'm not sure I would cook all these dishes but I did enjoy watching the chefs prepare them. One good thing about being at home is that when I make the dishes myself I can sub out things I cannot eat with something I can. For example, I cannot eat shrimp so I would use salmon to make the Gullah shrimp burgers. My go to first thing I want to tackle are Martha's Martha-ritas which are the prettiest color baby pink I've ever seen plus it looks easy. Even though I love to cook and I did not buy any of the tasting wines or beers, the tastings were my favorite part of the festival. There were 3 different tastings: summer wines, wine and pizza, and beer and cheese pairing. The presenters were very entertaining to watch and described the alcohol really well. The wine and pizza presentation was my favorite and the presenter made me laugh when he put the wine and pizza in a blender to see how they taste. Don't do that, it's a joke! I love levity and humor as much as food so that was a nice touch. Overall, I thought this was an absolutely fabulous event and I'm really happy that it was moved to an at home virtual event this year so I could experience the festivities.

The place inside is small, but its still spacious enough that you're not crammed against the other tables. From the moment you're walking up to the place it calls your attention cause its located in the historic Gold Pan Saloon. And the decor inside follows that rustic saloon winery vibes with barrel decors and a crazy ceiling design. They have a great bar area for tastings or a glass of wine as well. I opted for the wine flight, which was great. It included 3 different types of red wines and they were each delicious. My fav was the cabernet franc. It was the best of the 3 for me. For food we went with the Red Rocker charcuterie board and it was great. They pick the 2 cheeses and 2 proteins, which are a rotating selection, along with pickled veggies and a spread with homemade wine tortilla chips. What I love about it is that you can tell the board is freshly made when it's ordered. I was also able to try a piece of the bruschetta with Poached Figs, Whipped Goat Cheese, Honey & Pine Nuts and it was to die for. If goat cheese is your thing, do not skip out on this one. The whipped cheese is crazy, Amazing texture and flavor. We stopped by a couple of days later for a glass of wine and it was packed but they were nice enough to let us stand on the side enjoying a glass till a seat opened up at the bar. I got a glass of their "house red" which is divine. Great body and perfectly balanced. And did I mention it's only $10?!? Totally worth it. Perfect place to relax and unwind.

And to stumble upon this chic and inconspicuous cocktail bar in the busy downtown was something I wasn't expecting and became a treat after a nice stroll through the town after dinner in my hotel room. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was at the place where my heart was calling for. There were two gents at the bar and one of them warmly greeted me and said I could sit anywhere I would like. I hence picked one of the bar seats. Except one table that was occupied by a couple I was the only one. I appeared to have picked the right time; I had the whole bar to myself (eventually though, several different groups of people streamed in; only a few of them sat at the bar close to me. The bar was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a little over 10 people.) Jeremy, who greeted me upon arrival, was a super host. As soon as I explained that wine is my usual got-to, he said he could mix and match reds and whites to create a "flight" based on what I had told him as to my likings. His extensive explanations as to what sorts of reds and whites the bar offers/serves was (of course) all in his memory. His eloquent speech with no filler words truly impressed me; he sure is a wine connoisseur. What he picked for me were... -2024 Pepiere "Les Gras Moutons" (Muscadet) -Kobal "Bajta", Hazole Belo (aka Orange Wine) -Sandlands "Red Table Wine (Lodi Red Blend) With his wealth of knowledge, after giving him only a hint of what I liked, what Jeremy selected for me to sample/sip was a superb choice. All of them were world-class excellence with elegance and beauty. I carefully and slowly sipped each one little by little to truly immerse myself in the art of wine. Yes, wine is a piece of art for sure. I think I said it correctly at the beginning of this review. This is a cocktail bar with variety of spirits which Jeremy could easily concoct just about anything from gin-based one to vodka-based one to tequila-based ones to whiskey-based one to name several. For those who don't drink, their zero-proof section also has something interesting to browse and choose. Not to mention, rotating pilsner or IPA on tap to name a few from the beer section as well. If you need a little bite to eat, their (changing) food menu has a good number of New American-style plates. The bar originally opened in a different building back in 2015 (I believe). They moved to the current location in 2019. They also offer various different classes so you can expand/extend your knowledge. The Drinks I ordered the Sangre del Sol. The flavor was amazing, though be warned it is very strong!
