Make the reservation and GOOOOO here!!! We sat outside and had the best evening with our amazing service from Jessica! My friend and I shared the Caesar Salad, vegan. DELICIOUS and plenty of salad to share--we didn't eat it all. Could easily have shared with four people. I ordered the vegetarian chicken parm--made vegan. WOW!!! It was one of the best plant based dishes I've had!!! It's a pretty good size--if I lived here I would have wanted to take the leftovers. We finished our night with the Bananas Foster. The presentation of it and the taste--so delicious!!! Jessica was so friendly and personable with us, making it that much more enjoyable and memorable for us! Thank you!

This was a very nice dinner, but wasn't the best steakhouse I had gone too. It was a little bit louder on the inside than I had hoped, but maybe I had set the wrong expectations. The food was delicious tho!

I'm honestly not sure why this place has such a low rating. We dined at Catch Steak in Aspen a few days ago with a group of 12--including four kids--and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The service was top-notch: attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food was outstanding across the board. We ordered a wide variety of dishes--Caesar salad, carpaccio, crudo, sushi, steaks, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and more--and every single item was cooked to perfection. Despite our large group, the food came out quickly, hot, and beautifully prepared. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations, and we had a fantastic dining experience. My favorite was the potato croquettes topped with caviar!

Catch Steak - Now Featuring 3D-Printed Wagyu Hard reservation. Packed house. Been to the Miami location and loved it--so expectations were high. Recommendation: they should stick to Catch and quietly delete Steak from the name. Sushi, sashimi, and rolls? Legit. No complaints. The steaks? I'm not sure where they caught these steaks, but it definitely wasn't from a cow. Party of 9. Four different steaks. All cooked perfectly... and all somehow tasteless, floppy, and oddly fish-adjacent. Impressive, honestly. I fell for the waiter's pitch--sold me a 20oz Wagyu like he was trying to clear end-of-month inventory. "Seven years to get," he said. Correct. It tasted like it spent all seven years waiting to be ordered. $300 for a salt delivery system. My son's Wagyu porterhouse: tasteless. Filet mignon: a confused lump of protein. The 14oz Wagyu strip was the only steak that seemed aware it was food. At this point, I'm convinced the steaks are AI-generated and 3D-printed in the back. Cooked medium-rare, downloaded medium-meh. Caesar salad was great--arrived after the steaks. The famous mushrooms showed up with dessert. Time here is more of a vibe than a schedule. They did comp dessert, which was appreciated. Also overheard several other tables complaining, so it wasn't just us. Either they can't handle the crowd... or they ran out of meat and hit "Print."

The steak here is meh. Sorry but not sorry. There was zero evidence my filet was wagyu. Not able to cut through it with a knife, kinda charred.....def not worth 104.00. We came for our anniversary and though the steak wasn't up to snuff, the sushi rolls were BEYOND fire. They were the best rolls in Aspen thus far. I eat A LOT of sushi btw. Hubby got the ribeye cap. It too was good but not worth the price. The Hamachi though. cry good. We sat at the bar, by choice, and the mixed drinks are amazing. The service by the bartender was also 5 star. The blue cheese creamed spinach was good for a side. I did like the atmosphere, very 70's loungy trendy. Lots of good people watching as well. We'd go back, but for the fish.

We were the first guest to arrive and they open, or super friendly and they seem like very tight group. Their cocktail selection was amazing. Had the Manhattan old-fashioned that was super fun drink. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wife's salmon was so delicious.

The food was fantastic, but for a steakhouse of this caliber the service was lacking. The host just stared at us before I introduced myself and indicated we had a reservation. Then, we were seated at a shared table with other guests, which was bizarre. Our server was distracted and not overly friendly. Many times we would say something and he would just walk away. The food, however, was very good. We started with beef carpaccio and the Caesar salad, which we loved. For dinner, we had two types of filet. They came out at the wrong temperatures. Fortunately, my husband and I just swapped steaks. The cocktails were good but pricey.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! My husband's steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.

    - Got the dry aged bone-in strip. Taste and texture were great - The mac n cheese + broccolini sides were a good addition - Just the right amount of food for two people. We were stuffed afterwards - The mountain views are meh. There are hotels with better views than this - Good place to go for some steak in Aspen

Even the manager agreed that the menu is misleading. Then fix it!
    Karen S.

The ambience was great. The menu is highly misleading. I do not need a lesson from the manager on how to read the menu. I felt that was condescending. And he completely pushed off my misunderstanding. I do not recommend the Wagyu flight of beef. Highly highly highly overrated for one and a half ounces of steak for $95. Absolutely ridiculous! And that's a meal? So how could I be so far off to misinterpret that we were going to get 6 ounces of steak?. The Dover sole was good but highly overpriced as well. I felt that I heard the waiter say $120 and the bill came back at $160. I would definitely not have ordered it at 160. I also expected it to be split in the kitchen. But instead, they brought out a very tiny dessert plate and expected us to split it ourselves . There was no way it was going to fit on the plate, let alone sloshing the sauce from plate to plate. Again. Very poorly executed. And all I am told is it's my misinterpretation. Oh. And an offer of dessert. No thank you.

Delicious and more lean than I thought (which is not a bad thing). 3. Asparagus - Nice touch that they split them lengthwise. Salt and pepper, sauce on the side as requested. Very good. 4. Bison burger - Big, oily, messy. Truffle fries are average but good flavor. The bacon in the burger is overpowering so had to remove and put on the side. The fries are pretty much what you'd expect, except once they got to room temperature they became super hard and not very edible. My husband said the French dip meat was good and tender, pretty good flavor overall. I had the chicken sandwich which was huge! They split the sandwich into three wedges and I could only finish two. I liked the texture of the chicken was nice and I liked the slaw on it, however, the flavor overall was kind of lacking. I would say it was a bit overhyped. To get me to write any letter the experience must be pretty extreme and even more so when you consider the food was great and service (once we sat down) was also excellent. My wife and I got there at about 630 expecting to wait for bar seats for a group of 4. Our friends who play local shows and are regulars at Ellina and know the staff joined us. I checked in with the hostess and just made sure on the bar wait protocol and offered to put our name down and they said first come first serve. There was another couple in front of us and when 2 seats opened up in the corner we told them and they sat down (cause it would obviously be wrong to cut in front of them even though we were closer to the seats). We waited patiently for a good 45 minutes with our 2 friends but were not on top of the hostess station cause it was crowded with traffic (we only were like 5 feet away though even with the middle of the bar). About 10 minutes into our wait a group of 3 walked by us (2 girls and a guy celebrating a bday) to also wait at the bar. I remember them walking in cause they  accidentally bumped into me and apologized on their way to wait right by the host station for bar seats. When finally 2 seats opened up my wife and my friend's wife took the seat and when another 10 minutes went by 3 seats next to them opened up. We went to grab 2/3 seats and then the guy from the party said that's our seats. I told him it's first come first serve and they lied and said we were here first. I mention they walked into us while you were walking in and tried to tell them we were right behind the couple who were seated before us an hour ago (their party wasn't even there for that..that's how long we were waiting). Instead of letting me explain, the manager or owner came over and yells "MY BAR MY RULES" at me and said told the other party to sit down. My friends who are regulars and know the bartender and actually have met the her (Jill??) were also shocked. So we had no choice but to wait a little longer before another few seats opened up. We did end up sitting next to the same party of the 3 and the guy actually apologized to my wife multiple times cause they knew they were in the wrong. They totally lied and got away with it.  Despite the rudeness we spent $450 and appreciate Willy working hard for us but my friends and I don't see any of us going back and supporting the establishment after the way the earlier situation was handled and after an attempt to reach privately still no response. There was so many more mature and professional ways to handle the situation like asking for my explanation or having the host who first saw me vouch for me (I asked her if there was a list to put our name down for the bar trying to be proactive) or ask the other couple that was seated down right before us, or being proactive and implementing a waiting list or maybe offering us or the other party drinks or appetizers) but yelling at a customer and completely being in the wrong was so unbelievable out of pocket. It really ruined the meal for all of us despite objectively good food and drinks and like I said Willy and David were great. Please treat your future customers better than us.
