Food was amazing! Ambiance was stellar and our server, Nicole was excellent! Asked for recommendations on both cocktails and entree and her expertise did not disappoint! read more

Went here for some dinner after a marriage conference. The beer selection was superb. Our food came out quickly and was excellent. Super chill environment, casual-classy kind of place, very well decorated, perfect date night atmosphere. The waitress may or may have not known that we were coming from a marriage conference, I think our work books were a dead give away, lol, but we were close to the last people in the building and while my wife was away at the bathroom, I asked the waitress to play a slow romantic song to dance to. She played a song so perfect I don't remember the name. Unfortunately, my wife was tired and ready to go, but still super kind gesture. read more

The only option for a vegetarian was a hummus wrap----hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes. I honestly expected more from a place like this. I couldn't even eat it, it was that bad. I hope they change there menu and be more accommodating. read more

My dissatisfaction with the last visit I'll make to The Mill is a more than a little sour. Having lived in Hershey for many years I could not have been more excited that an intrepid group saw something in that cool old building. My first couple visits to The Mill did not disappoint. Here was a place that was trying...making every effort to ensure everything was just right. The curse of complacency hits some places harder than others and The Mill is on the mat and down for the count. Simple tasks like a properly cooked burger, well made cocktail, and more than three visits from a disinterested server have been lost. Just like any chance of a future visit from this frequent diner. Makes me sad. You want a great meal in Hershey? Devon is the clear winner. read more

Re: Mother's Day Pick-up Order. Thank you so much! The food was ready on time, the order was one hundred percent correct, your "delivery person" to outside the restaurant was extremely pleasant and helpful, the drink recipe and ingredients were simply over-the-top in customer service, and most of all, the food was absolutely excellent! You all hit a grand slam and really helped to make my wife's Mother's Day just perfect! read more

Beautiful building, ok service, food would probably be delicious if it was not served cold. We went this morning, were seated downstairs so not sure if that is the problem (too far from the kitchen). Server friendly but very distracted by other things/people so my partner never got the twice-asked for ketchup for her home fries so she asked the young man that seated us for ketchup which he did bring. My friend's omelet was hot but my brisket hash, including the poached egg on top, was cold. I was too hungry to send it back to be heated and, judging by the ketchup problem, I was afraid I might have been waiting a very long time to get my food back. We left somewhat hungry as there are not many sides to choose from and no bread offering or toast served with our hash entree and omelet entree. There was no fruit side or ala carte waffle or pancake to go-with. There were a couple potato sides but we already had potato items on our entree plate. There was a bacon side but for $9, I would pass and a little afraid that it said sirachi because I would not want spicy food. One soup offering only and it was tomato which I don't order when I am out. I can do Campbell's tomato any day at home. A minestrone or vegetable type soup with pieces of something in it would have been very tasty. I would not come here again. Too many other places from which to choose, that bring hot food to the table. read more

Well I don't ever leave reviews .maybe I should to spare people. This restaurant tho is very appealing to the eye very well done however they should fire the help and the chef .. Ordered the bacon appetizer because we all love bacon but got two large pieces of bacon fat instead . Then the brought the dinner with the salad at same time .what this is like a $50.00 dinner ok So I had the brisket oh they forgot the meat on that to just received a big chunk of fat !! Holy cow get me out of here !! read more

Outstanding! Service was amazing with our server, Cecelia. She took such great care of us! Food was excellent as well. Mill Salad was delicious, as was the black pearl salmon and all the desserts were beautifully presented and divine!! Loved our experience here! read more

We stopped here after visiting Hershey for lunch. Very limited menu but very good food. Kids mac and cheese is homemade and the fries are excellent. I had the wedge salad which was very good. The lobster bisque was excellent. Highly recommend the corn bolo dessert. Very good. read more

Food, service, and drinks are good. I had the chicken and waffles, a little dry and needs something sweet to balance the savory...the waffles have a sweetness to them but no enough to balance the chicken and gravy. Would go back to try other options! read more

Hm, surprised this place only has 3.5 stars. Definitely one of the more upscale restaurants in Hershey - great place for a birthday or anniversary. A little on the higher end in terms of prices, and may be a tad overpriced, but I think depending on what you get, it's definitely worth it. Cool vibe and really really loud live music on the weekends. Be sure to make a reservation on the weekends and request to sit on the main level so you aren't deaf by the end of the night. The service has always been really great at the bar and at sit down meals. Cocktails have been kind of strong every time I've gone, but not really complaining there. Food has also been pretty good. The duck has been a stand out for me. Definitely a place worth trying if you feel like splurging! read more

This is a great place to eat while visiting Hershey. My husband ordered the Scallops and they were super fresh and cooked perfectly. I ordered the Crabcakes and there was barely any filling and mostly backfin crabmeat. Great local beer and the bartender was great! This will be a must everytime we visit Hershey. read more

Wanted it to be so much better. Visited from out of town with six other people. Nice waitress but she didn't check on us enough. Milk was not crowded at the time. Great atmosphere. Stick with the burger and fries. French onion soup was ok but could have done without the oily onion ring on top. Chicken on salad was not flavored and dry. Gave us a half of a scoop of ice cream with a kids menu item . Food lacked seasoning... it looked sooooooo good but lacked flavor. Maybe it was just a bad day. Pulled pork was rubbery. Great ambiance, location, and menu looked interesting. Flavorless mac and cheese..... again looked amazing but tasted like yellow noodles. Lots of cheese in it but tasted like nothing. Hope the do better next time. I wish them the best. If they seasoned their food correctly..... not too much this place would be packed all the time. read more

Finally, a restaurant in Hershey I am excited about. I have been waiting to review this place. I came in here during its soft opening. I love the ambiance of this establishment. It has a beautiful interior; rustic with a touch of industrial, it makes you feel welcomed. I love the open floor and bar areas on each floor. Our food was good, the ambiance was good, and the service was excellent. We had a good time exploring all of the floors. I am excited to see how this establishment progresses over time and look forward to coming back for food and drinks. read more

My husband, family, their friends and I went here the one night for dinner about two weeks ago. I was excited to try somewhere new. It was early in the evening and not very busy for a Sunday night. The first bad sign was when we arrived on time for our reservation. My parents had requested to be seated in the lower section. It took someone 10 minutes to figure out what was going on as they had to check to see if this was okay to be seated here. Again, no issues with making the reservation to begin with and seeing that it was not busy, it shouldn't have taken almost 10 minutes to be seated. We were finally seated and placed our orders. We got our drinks and appetizers. My caesar salad was pretty decent but I noticed the lack of croutons I had requested. It was still good though. It did seem to take awhile to get our main course. We also noticed that it took forever to get drink refills to the point where we had to actually track someone down to get them. Main courses arrived and I was slightly disappointed. I ordered the Mill Burger but had requested extra cheddar, cooked medium, no lettuce, tomato, pickle, bun, etc on the burger. I made it very clear that I wanted ONLY the meat and cheese and nothing else. I had just had dental surgery a few days prior and this was the easiest way for me to eat food as I needed to cut up my meal into small pieces. However, the burger came out with the oversized onion ring and bun. The cheese was sticking to the bun but it did not look like they had included the extra I wanted. I asked for more cheese and the waiter pointed out there was cheese on the burger. I made sure to mention that the cheese was already cooked into bun so there was no way of salvaging it since I had wanted extra initially. Instead of taking the plate back to redo the cheese, two cold slices of cheese were brought out on a separate plate. Because of it being Porter Cheddar, it was fairly crumbly and not easy to put back on a somewhat lukewarm burger. The burger was also fairly well done and not cooked 'medium' as requested. There was no juice or flavor to it. We needed another round of drinks halfway through our main course and that seemed impossible to obtain. I started drinking my husband's drink as mine had run out. After our main course was finished, the waiter asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. Several of us had ordered coffee and then he asked my father if we were ready for the check. Well, when the reservations were made, we had requested a birthday cake along with the meal as one of my parents' friends were celebrating their birthday. Again, everyone seemed confused but they finally brought the cake out 15 minutes later. The cake was made in house. Finally got our check, paid and left. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. However, the staff needs to work on a few things such as paying attention to the customer and their tables as well as organization. The food didn't measure up to the price you would pay. It was a Sunday night so you wouldn't get that Friday/Saturday crowd that restaurants have. Either they were short staffed or lacked the proper training. I did notice a bartender standing behind the bar counter playing on his cell phone while we were there. Overall the experience wasn't great as the others in our dinner party agreed on the service and quality of the meal. I give this review 2 stars because of everything that occurred on our first and most likely last visit. It's just not somewhere I would run back to any time soon. read more

Pretty mediocre. The space is ok but noisy. The breads (flatbread and French bread) were grocery store quality at best. The pulled pork flatbread had maybe a tablespoon of pork on it. The kung pao broccoli rabe was tasty, though tough. Roasted Brussels sprouts completely unremarkable. Chicken pasta dish bland sauce and utterly flavorless chicken. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Overall a big disappointment. read more

The food was excellent and there was an interesting variety. Beautiful presentation. Servings were generous. It's a farm to table restaurant, so the menu changes with the seasons. We don't drink, but there was an extensive drink menu, including seasonal offerings. If you're going on the weekend, get a reservation. Not cheap, but well worth what we paid. read more

We came for a night out with my family to celebrate my dads retirement. The food was spot on. The filet Mignon was soft and tasted just like the grill. We had 4 kids with us and the macaroni and cheese from the kids menu was amazing. The waitress was on top of it the whole night and was incredibly sweet. We couldn't afford to go every single week or even every month but it was the perfect place to enjoy a really nice dinner with my family. I can highly recommend it. read more

Terrible service. 7:30 reservation for 8. Never seated until after 8:00. No drinks for 30 minutes - all simple, I.e., beer, wine, nothing fancy. Waitress trying hard but, but no support. While our New Years Eve cant be fixed from my review below, I do believe in follow-up and trying to help for the future. Within 24 hours of my review I had a call from The Mill (Candy) to discuss the problem. I really appreciated her honesty and quick response time. I wanted to add 2 stars to my first review because of this. And in all fairness, the first time we dined at The Mill is was 5 stars. read more

Some good news and some bad news... The good news is the ambiance and the service. The bad news is that it is not terribly handicapped accessable and long flight of stairs to get in. Foodwise, my steak was very good as were the veggies. However, my wife's special pasta dish was a rich desert and not an entre. We were blind-sided. Very trendy, very noisy and some people like it. In the middle of nowhere and hard to get to at night on some pretty winding roads. read more

My family and I took our 40ft diesel RV from Arkansas to Connecticut. We had been driving about 15 hours by the time we stopped here to eat brunch. We were wearing comfortable clothes, athletic shorts, shirt and tennis shoes. We didn't look like we lived in a Well, which is how we were treated. I believe that my 3 kids, mom, husband and I were discriminated against based on our southern accent and southern roots. We were treated like second class citizens. The restaurant was very dark so since we were sitting next to a window on a gloomy day, I raised the blinds a little to allow some light and because my kids wanted to watch the train go by. Almost instantaneously a waiter came over and closed the blinds and said I was disturbing the other customers. I guess we were not considered customers. The service was slow, the food was not as great as you would have expected with such an uppity, "fancy" restaurant. The almost very small brunch menu did not have many choices either. I guess once the heard the southern drawl they assumed we couldn't afford their restaurant and treated us horribly. They must have missed the Rolex watches. They must assume that all people from the South have chickens and live in cracker boxes. Untrue. I assure you that one of their houses could fit in one of our TWO houses on our Ranch Estate. We tipped our waitress 20% just as we always do but we felt very unwelcome. Even our children made mention of this. We both waited tables while in medical school and understand that the wait staff depend on tips, therefore we didn't want to treat her the way they treated us. I would never recommend this restaurant. Never. Unless you want to pay premium price for someone to judge you. Burger King or Chic fil A would be just as good, if not better. I do not recommend this restaurant. The staff was distasteful, rude and the service was slow. Before you judge someone based on their accent, or their comfortable clothes, please remember that Sam Walton drove a beat up truck and wore cowboy boots and jeans. Be kind. read more

If I could zero stars I would! For Father's Day I made reservations for 11am. At 11:21am I am leaving the restaurant without a glass of water or having eaten anything. We got the baby set up to eat and then we waited and waited. My husband requested that we eat here for Father's Day so we continued to wait for service. I even tried to flag down another waiter and host. At this point I was fuming. So we left. It is really too bad. We have eaten here before and really enjoyed it. I feel horrible that my husband requested this restaurant for Father's Day and now we're leaving hungry. read more

aside from the super friendly service, the COFFEE was so good. i think i had like four cups! haha. but the food - the thick cut bacon, crab cake sandwich and the french onion soup had my heart. i only wish i lived closer to this place. a must have! ps. the best creme brûlée i ever had :) read more

Been there twice, ehhhh. Great ambiance, nice bar, but the food is underwhelming and the price makes it worse. Brisket sandwich was fatty and greasy, fries were cold. Okay after reading many posts prior to eating here. I was pleasantly surprised. Waitress Maggie was the right balance of great customer service plus and good humor. Scallops with risotto was fantastic with perfectly cooked scallops! Hubby had filet with taters and kale and again all perfectly cooked. regarding prior posts about "stale bread", please note this is fresh house baked bread and it's peasant bread. So it has a hearty crust and soft, white interior. That's what real bread should taste like, not the fake "wonder bread" you may have been raised on, it was good. So out experience exceeded my expectations and we look forward to going again. Well done Mill!! read more

I'm giving the Mill 4 stars, even though I didn't enjoy my meal. Whatever you do, DO NOT order the vegan entree! I asked if they offered a vegetarian entree (since the menu didn't have one), and to my surprise, they did (it was vegan, so, close enough). I thought chefs were taught how to prepare tofu in culinary school, but apparently not...it was bad. Charred, bitter, flavorless, not good. It was served with quinoa and mushrooms which were very good. In hindsight, I wish I would have been 'one of those' people and just ordered sides as my meal. My dinner companion ordered steak and lobster risotto. I had a bite of the risotto, and it was amazing! (yes, I know lobster risotto is not vegetarian) Since I ate about 50 calories in my dinner, I thought dessert was warranted. The creme brulee was delicious. They served it with a cinnamon whipped cream, which complimented the dessert perfectly. I will be back to the Mill and go with my original plan. The atmosphere was lovely and a 2-man acoustical band came out and played a few songs, which was very nice too. read more

My family and I are frequent diners at The Mill. We go at least twice a month and have never had a bad experience until tonight. We made New Year's Eve reservations for 4pm. Upon arrival (around 3:50) we were told the kitchen wasn't open yet and to have a seat at the bar. We had our 8 year old with us and our newborn in a car seat....sitting at the bar wasn't an option. When we were finally seated, we surprised to see a special menu since there was no mention of this on their website, Facebook or on Open Table where I made the reservation. To be honest, this sucked because we chose The Mill due to our love of their signature dishes. We ordered calamari as an appetizer but barely touched it because it clearly wasn't fully fried and was pink/raw looking. My husband ordered the prime rib that honestly looked like baked dog food. We are so disappointed and most likely will not be going back anytime soon. read more
