Really cute shop with lots of tables where people were working and talking. Employees were super nice, I came in another time 10 minutes before close and they still took my order although the matcha wasn't as good. Ordered the Vietnamese coffee and berry berry matcha latte, and both were really good. Would definitely come back again, love how unique it is with the bike shop as well.

Great working spaces inside and outside.

Coffee shop meets bottle shop meets wine shop meets cocktail bar meets pizza shop meets cafe/diner. All of these things rolled into one makes The Meteor a standout choice for a cup of tea or pastry for brekkie, a salad or burger for lunch, or pizza for dinner. Rather just have a latte or a beer? They've got beer on tap and in the coolers for take away purchase. Cider and other bevvies as well. Going to a dinner party and want to grab a nice bottle of wine? They've got you covered. Fancy a cocktail or a glass of juice? Have at it. They've also got a small shopping area where you can buy hot sauce, gift cards (to The Meteor), cups, mugs, and more. Wanna hang with friends? Nice interior decor with seating. Small seating outside in front of restaurant and a large covered patio in the back. Want a place to get some work done? Bring your laptop, they've got wifi for ya. Walk up to the counter, place your order with the cashier, get a number, grab a seat. Someone will bring out your food when it's ready. Cool vibe, steady flow of customers all day long. Had a smashburger and OMG fries (the seasoning will get ya)...really good! Boyfriend had falafel in a pita...really good. We shared a glass of iced ginger plum tea...also really good.

Love this place good anytime of the day great coffee and the beer selection is super local and wine selection never disappoints. A Austin staple service is quick and simple also dog friendly and good for a date night or chill with friends

Honestly can't stop thinking about how good this maple tahini latte was. The service was quick for a busy Saturday

The pumpkin muffin was delicious! It tasted very similar to a Starbucks pumpkin muffin, just without all the sugar. I felt good even after scarfing the whole thing down! It tasted like body fuel, not junk. But not too much of a "healthy" taste (if that makes sense). I loved it! The blueberry muffin was full of whole blueberries and soft. The banana bread had a good distribution of nuts and wasn't too sweet. It was delicious. The service during my Too Good to Go pick up was terrific. I was greeted with friendly warmness and was clearly welcome in the restaurant. She was also very happy to share information about the restaurant--it made me very interested to come back and try the regular menu.

The Meteor is an extremely cool café, coffee shop, cyclery, etc. in the very hip South Congress neighborhood of Austin. There's places to work inside and an awesome patio around back. The sister cycle shop is next door, and a very interesting place worth investigating as well. Check it out.

Fronks milk iced latte
Kate W.

They have Fronk's milk! It's delicious... but be prepared bc it's expensive ($10-11 for a drink with it). Definitely worth it for a treat!

If you anywhere near S. Congress you NEED to STOP HERE! Great Austin ambiance relaxed, natural & if you need a cup of Joe (I prefer cappuccinos and theirs are FAB ) you won't be sorry add a fresh donut, scone and YES! breakfast tacos or one of their other delicious baked goods and you'll be on a meteor straight to Heaven By The Way! excellent Chocolate Chunk Cookies for your afternoon snack. Ample seating inside with WIFI plus a nice selection of natural wine & merch if your in need of a lil something, outdoor seating too if your bring your pup . Also located inside is a PIZZA oven so later when the hunger starts you know where to go to satisfy that cheesy, tomato with dough carb load. Eat in or Take Away, Burgers, salads, fries, soda & beer also served.

This place is so cute! You can purchase full bottles of wine or champagne or you can purchase wine by the glass. I ordered a vodka martini and it was one of the best I have ever had. I thought the burger was just OK but the atmosphere was really cute and It's a great location.

Local cider
Jarrod R.

This pita lunch is a perfect combination of flavors and it pairs perfectly with a cider on tap. The team at the Meteor is one of the friendliest I've encountered in Austin and the atmosphere is pitch perfect. It's like stepping back in time but living in the now at the same time. Trust me on this.

Nope. And neither did I see any room for a live band. But who knows if they decide to offer a cozy corner to a musician. That would be nice!

Mañana is located at the South Congress Hotel has coffee + tea, bakeshop and grab + go offerings (primarily water, kombucha, paletas and juices). Of course I was there for a latte spiked with black sesame vanilla (their most popular latte) according to my barista, which I paired with an almond bear claw. This was not your typical bear claw as it was not eye-squinting sweet but bursting with almond flavoring primarily in the center. It was almost like a crescendo in a symphony when you got to the center of the bear claw. My latte was flavorful in a subtle way with the sesame vanilla permeating throughout the latte. It is important to note that they make their own pastries and tacos each day. The pastries are a bit pricey costing more than my latte. The coffee shop has floor to ceiling windows on two sides with one of the windows opening into a courtyard with additional seating. The beautifully titled coffee bar immediately grabs your attention. In addition, service was quick and efficient. I was in and out the coffee shop within 10 minutes. I parked right in front of the coffee shop as it was early before the meters started to tick.

Their pastries are on the expensive side, but the quality is good, they have quiche, ham and cheese croissants, coconut macaroons, and so many tempting drinks! Some interesting drinks I spotted: Raspberry White Chocolate Matcha & Espresso Con Panna. There were so many things I wanted to try. Things Mozart's does well: food and desserts…read more Drinks are falling behind. The peach cobbler matcha just tasted like matcha so why bother calling it peach cobbler? There was some stuff sprinkled on top but very disappointing. Things that are not so great: 1. Orders are all over the place. We got a matcha, a cold brew, and a drip. Matcha came out first. Never got a cup for the drip so had to ask. Also had to remind barista about the cold brew, which is easier and faster to make than the matcha given you just pour it in a cup with ice. Do they just jump around from ticket to ticket when making drinks? 2. I asked for our desserts to be in to go boxes and I wanted our savory food heated up because we were going to eat it there. I said this 3-4x. Everything was placed in to go containers so I had to take the savory food out and ask again for it to be heated up. Food placed after us was already in the toaster so we had to wait extra long for our food to be placed in there and heated up. 3. Music is way too loud. Can't even talk. Thankfully there was a longer than scheduled break in-between the first band and the second band that we could actually talk and enjoy our food. 4. The wait times are ridiculous. The line does NOT move that fast. Probably because people have to keep asking the workers where their stuff is. 5. Parking is terrible. A woman and her friend pulled out and I pulled in only to have valet claim it was their spot. How did a woman and her friend walk to her car and pull out if it was valet? There was also no cone but sure, it belongs to valet. Was this a way of trying to get us to pay? Touristy trap. Yes, I know there is an overflow lot. It is usually packed/full. I was also with elderly parents. Good luck walking down that hill without falling. They used to have someone in a little cart take people back and forth but not anymore. I tipped $8 for worse than Chipotle/Subway service. I've been here on a weekday mid-day before and they've forgotten my iced Americano before. I've had to go up and ask the baristas just standing around and clearly not working on my drink. Then I would sit down and 5-7 min would go by. Still no drink. Go back to the front. They say, oh there's your drink (half melted). I was sitting inside at a table talking with a friend. Surely if they called my name, I would have heard them but I guess they cannot be bothered. I've been coming to Mozart's since high school since I live nearby. Service has become a joke. It's turned into a tourist attraction with prices to match and extremely long lines The food is good, I will give them that. Once the food quality goes down, there is absolutely no point in coming. I also worked as a barista in high school and college. I can adequately judge the level of service as I've been through the crazy rushes. The service is terrible here. It's like they think because they're Mozart's on the lake, they can just not care about providing good service. The people working there, while always polite, do not seem like they like working there. I dont know how to explain it. I think it's because Mozart's is tourist attraction and no longer an actual Austin coffee shop. It feels like Starbucks right at the point Starbucks sold out. It's such a shame. I live a few minutes away so I would like to come here more often but every time I come, I'm always a bit unhappy about my visit.

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.
