Visited Maine Catch on our current trip to Ogunquit. Ate outside in a beautiful setting. My wife and her cousin had the Cobb salad with lobster. Generous potion with good amount of fresh lobster. I had the shrimp FRA diavalo which had just the right amount of spice. Also had oysters from the raw bar. Very fresh. This was our second time to The Maine Catch. First time was last August for dinner which was absolutley perfect. Yesterday we were in town for lunch and decided to stop again. We wanted to sit outside but were told the tables were reserved so we were seated at the same table we had for dinner the last time we were there! Again, from start to finish did not disappoint at all! The server was caring and friendly. We ordered onion rings which came with a delicious dip, OH so good! I had the lobster roll and my husband had the whole clams, very good! We look forward to coming again and highly recommend! Its one of our favorite in the area! read more

Exceptional service. Very accommodating for our party of 4! Wait staff was friendly and prompt. 5PM is def the time for families with mini's to share; less people. The food: We had the JAMBALAYA, scallops & of course the chicken tenders and fries. All devoured in a blink of an eye. Delicious and full of flavor. How wonderful to have this gem just around the corner! We arrived at 4 and were seated ordering the oysters and then the Brussells sprouts. Our oysters were delicious and the sprouts had a light sprinkling of blue cheese, which was perfect. Men ordered buttermilk chicken and convinced me we could share so I ordered the shrimp scampi. The buttermilk chicken did not disappoint. The chicken was deliciously battered, tender and juicy. The scampi was light and delicious and the tails were removed from the shrimp, which I much prefer. The toast that came with the scampi was perfectly lightly toasted and complimented the scampi as I used it to clean up any sauce. Last we ordered carrot cake dessert to share, which is made in-house. Our waitress, Barbie was spot-on in her recommendation and we appreciated her candor. It was the perfect ending for our perfect meals. Can't wait to return! read more

Really great new place in Ogunquit. We'll definitely be back. The brussel sprouts app was delicious. The stuffed lobster was fantastic. We sat in the bar area and the bartender was our service. I wish I could remember his name- he was fabulous, which is hard to find nowadays with service industries having such a tough time finding reliable workers! He was attentive, kind, and even offered to make us a special drink when we told him we didn't like Jose Cuervo (in the MC Martin). Red hair, beard, wish I could remember your name- we'll be back! Bad hostess! Food was good, service was good. We called ahead to see if we could make a reservation for an outdoor table. Hostess answered and said they don't take reservations for outdoor tables. We showed up and hostess said we couldn't be seated outside unless "others don't show up" meaning they do take reservations for outside tables. Very rude and abrupt. We stayed and waited for a table but the hostess soured the experience. We live in the area and this was not our first experience with her. She is a poor representative of the brand they are trying to create. Sadly, she's been the same each time. I sent a private message to The Maine Catch and they did not respond. read more

Wonderful dinner here with family tonight. My 11 yr old daughter loved the lobster cobb salad with their Maine island dressing. The stuffed clams were great, and the kids and husband enjoyed the crab cakes. Great service, and lovely atmosphere. read more

Best in the cove area! Shared a wedge salad with my girl. Entrees were strip steak done to perfection topped with the chefs butter and jambalaya chocked full of meats and seafood and seasoned perfectly! There are plenty of good restaurants in the area but this was our best by far. Nice! read more

Would have rated this restaurant much higher however my entree- the lobster mac n cheese- was not great. In fact, when the waitress came over and saw me poking around only eating the lobster, she asked "oh no is that dry again" and when I responded yes, she said "that one is hit or miss"?! If you know it could be a miss, maybe fix it or take it off the menu- or at least off my check! All of our other dishes were great and the ambience was nice- hence the 3 stars. read more

Beautifully and carefully decorated, warm and inviting atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. The wine list is great as well. I had the Crab Cakes and a Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken with a glass of the Pinot Gris and it was perfect. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely great service! Our server Ricardo was such a character, he made great recommendations from the menu, stopped by every now and again to chit chat, and was just very helpful throughout the evening. The atmosphere inside by the bar was very modern and quiet which I enjoyed - you were able to see the patio from where we were seated and the doors were open which gave a nice outdoor eating feeling without actually being outside. Outstanding! Our waitress Sherie was warm, friendly and made suggestions that were delicious! The mussels in cream sauce were tender and we didn't have to ask for extra bread for dipping. We ordered the Crab and Avocado melts on fresh toasted sourdough which was all washed down with some house made Sangria. A great meal with A+ service. The decor is rustic but modern and super comfy. Our table was not cleaned properly from the customers before us and as a result, I got food all over my shirt. The menu had chocolate on it too, which got on my hands and shirt. There's an up charge to substitute a starch for onion rings which were recommended by one of the servers but, they were gummy and not fully cooked. Service needs much improvement. We did not get our meals at the same time. It was really quite a very unpleasant dining experience and, I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

While on our yearly trip to Ogunquit Maine, my cousin and I were disappointed when we saw that one of our must go to restaurants was no longer there. In its place was The Maine Catch. We go to Ogunquit right before "the high season" begins so not every restaurant is open. We noticed action in the new restaurant and went in. We were greeted by Jeff who told us that they were having an unannounced soft opening and invited us to look around. We met Sherry and Tara behind the bar and liked what we saw. We returned that night and the following night and were warmly welcomed and told we were their first "regulars". We intended to go back for the lobster mac & cheese before we left but due to a complication couldn't make it. Definitely next year! Be sure to try the charred brussels sprouts. They're the best we've ever had!! The crab & avocado melt and the cajun sweet potato fries were great as well. Can't wait till next year. We only hope that we can get a seat. We felt so fortunate to have found this place - an oasis in a busy tourist scene. The wait staff was friendly and attentive but not overly so. I went last summer with some friends and it was amazing. Had chowder and a fried haddock sandwich and waffle fries. All amazing. I just went again and the chowder was just ok, but the haddock sandwich was still amazing. No waffle fries this year (cost and supply chain issues I was told....). Regular fries were good. I drove over an hour for amazing, but it was still good, just not quite amazing or worth the drive this time. read more

Delicious start to finish!!! Best place we ate in our week long stay in Ogunquit. Beautiful setting, kind and attentive service, ample outdoor seating and really excellent food. We enjoyed scallops in a bacon cream sauce, a lovely haddock dish, the Caesar salad and a kids pasta. All 5 stars. The griddled cornbread was a nice side too. And the blueberry pie!! Not only was it excellent in and of itself, the ice cream it's served with is the creamiest around. Others seated near us had lobsters and seafood towers and that looked terrific as well. Second time there to give another chance. First time poor. This time worse, did not have 2 items on menu, waiter was picked up on waiver wire from Mickey D's with apologies to Mickey. Took our drink order and disappeared, came back took order for 3 salads and cup of chowder. Salads okay, but cup was less than half full. Took entree orders and asked for bread, returned 2 hours later with meals and no bread, again promised to bring but never did. This place is not worthy of Ogunquit and suggest owner stick to clam shacks. read more

The charred brussel sprouts (with bacon, pecans, and blue cheese crumbles) were surprisingly good, and the crab and avocado grilled cheese (with havarti) was the best twist on comfort food I've had in a while.
