Usually can get what I need here always. Sometimes they don't have what I need in stock but in those times and with the persons I happened to talk to, they at least directed me to another location that has them in stock. They have these craft DIY events 1st saturday of each month which is quite cool to host. However, the space is never enough. People have to create makeshift work spaces (ie: cart, some loose board, etc) which I would think is unsafe. The staffers parking themselves at the table "checking" people in and providing paints can maybe use some training on how to add more work space? They're always just sitting there overly greeting people instead of trying to move the lines along quicker. A lot of useless stuff crowding the aisles as another reviewer alluded to. LEt's clean up the walking space a bit if possible. read more

A smaller garden center with an interesting set up at the front. Most stores I've seen load up the front of their stores with amazing color plants to capture the customers attention as they drive by. It helps to invite them in to see what's in side. This store was loaded with bag goods... soils and mulches and such. It was picked through, messy and generally not a great look to see as you drive up. There were only two small tables of plants one on each side of the gate. Once inside it was obvious plants were the Star so don't just drive by thinking nothing is here... it's in there! Gates were opened, cashier was there, and there was even a vender trimming plants... A smaller garden center but still a good place to get your garden on. read more

I've been to this store a bunch of times and pretty much get the same standard Home Depot level of service as expected. Haven't had any above-and-beyond service to warrant 5 stars. When I go here, I know exactly what I want so I rarely interact with the employees, unless I couldn't find the item I want or when checking out. My experience has mostly been good with the employees here. They are mostly friendly, and will help you out with your questions, unless they are busy. I also try to look at the Home Depot Store newsletter that they have at the check-in/entry area when I get to the store. You'll be surprised at some of the deals they offer, especially during the Memorial/Independence/Thanksgiving and other holidays. I also use the Home Depot website to order stuff online and pick them up at the store, saves me time from walking to the isles since I just pick up my paid orders at the customer service counter. The self service kiosks are also great if you have small items. Sometimes I don't even interact with the employees other than say hi..pick up my items, self check-out and go. read more

Home Depot sent the wrong item when ordering online. Ordered a garbage disposal, received a slab of granite. Due to the pandemic, we couldn't solve the issue with online customer service as usual. Tried calling 3 times, was on hold each time for 30-45 minutes and then hung up on. We finally took the product in to get the error solved. Instead of honoring the original price, they charged a higher price for the disposal. This was learned after the fact when comparing refunds to new charges. Such a horrible experience! Currently, I'm in the process of remodeling a bathroom. Vanities, walls, floors, fixtures, faucets....the whole shabang. And buying supplies is a necessity. Well...going to The Home Depot closest to me is a total waste! Bathroom was the first stage...replacing flooring for 3 rooms, redoing stairs, replacing all kitchen cabinets, buying appliances and doors and windows are on the agenda. But The Home Depot will get no more of my $$! Here's the latest incident: While the store is open, employees are more concerned about stocking shelves than helping customers. When you finally find someone for help, that person contacts another person who eventually appears but knows NOTHING about the department....so they have to ask someone else who says "I know a little something" and proceeds to give obvious wrong answers (ie: saying particle board isn't particle board or it doesn't matter what is used for subfloor). After an hour, no more answers than when I arrived. The only thing i got out of the hour was a load of frustration and a waste of time!!! Evidently, knowledge isn't important about the products offered. Evidently, the store closes much sooner than posted as people are stocking shelves and blocking aisles vs being aware of someone who would have made a purchase...aka a customer. read more

Honestly,if I can give an 0 star I would. I come in and buy an dryer, scheduled an installation everything. They gave me an 4 hours window and promised someone would call me 30 mins ahead. On the day delivery, no one call me, I am sitting on the living room and receipt a call say I miss the delivery. They insisted they call and no one home when the door is 5 fit next to me and no one knocked the door nor the door bell. We rescheduled next week, they ship me an unit with a huge damage on the front and ask me $50 off is that ok? WTF, I say no and then they promised someone would call me within 24 hours to reschedule the order, 2 day pass no one call. I call them back,they told me they canceled my order. I need to go to store to place another order again. OK fine, I go placed another order again scheduled an installation. This time the driver come by say that in order to install the dryer I have to move the refrigerator out of the way. They refused to move the refrigerator (I pay for the hall out and installation the whole thing). I say can you give me 5 mins let me unhook the waterline and move the refrigerator out. They say no!!! I say "come on, just few mins and we can have it all done" they say no and they would just leave the dryer here and we call back schedule another time when refrigerator is out of the way. I answer "No way, you guy miss the delivery, ship me a damage unit, cancel my order and wasted 3 weeks of my time,and you can't even give me 5 mins so you can do your job." The drive is very impolite and say "you shouldn't talk to people like this and just gone" WTF, End up I have to buy and dryer,pick up and install myself (because I have to wash cloth) and I call them to cancel the damn order.they say need to wait after the weekend when the unit return to some department before can issue the return and ask me to call back next Monday. I say "No ,no,no you guy have wasted me enough time and give me back my money , I am not calling back to you and wasted another 30 mins over the phone again, they say they would open a case and process next week." I like this Home Depot and the stocking of items being available. I don't like the way one employ spoke to me. First of all they were using the fork lift two isles over but decided to block the restrooms. I was trying to leave to get to an appointment. The employ yelled at me "NO you can't!" I understand that's his job for the safety aspect but who do you think you are talking to. I think he needs a class on customer service. I've been in the military, worked at my job for 20 years, raised my son; I don't deserve someone talking to me like I'm some kid. Total disrespect. Store decreased from five star to three star. Frustration level very high. Products incorrect places and pricing doesn't match. Barcodes not matching. (Pictures posted) Went to front checkout, not much they can do about things being in the wrong place but everything is a disaster in the areas that I needed. Store feels sloppy. Several instances of extremely poor service. They have no idea what their inventory levels are, so don't bother to order anything online - it's likely that they really don't have it in stock. They don't seem to think that this is an issue and are happy to just send you to another store. The store manager is never there when I shop during the evenings and on weekends and the lower level "managers" are not at all helpful. They actually seem to be more afraid of offending the lower level workers than their customers. Save yourself some frustration and go to Lowe's where they still have a clue about what customer service means. read more

This is my neighborhood Home Depot and I really like it. The staff are super helpful and I know the layout of the store, making shopping fast and easy. ISSUE AFTER ISSUE. Ordered a microwave to be installed above the range- was told it would be 5 days for delivery- it took 9. When product arrived it was SO heavily damaged that you could not open the door. Delivery company told us it was not their problem. We refused the delivery (naturally.) Tried to go back to Home Depot to get this resolved. I was told they DO NOT "do refunds." And that we should've just stuck with the delivery. Reno Ramirez, the gentleman helping us, gave us qn $81 refund and told us to wait an additional 10 days. TO BE CLEAR: How this works is they order you a product. Product gets shipped to middle-man warehouse. Warehouse receives product, sends crew out on a certain day. If there is any issue, there is nothing they can do. You must start the process all over again. This is the worst customer service I've experienced. We have ALREADY cancelled a new dishwasher for THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. Still don't have a microwave, still don't have any sort of solution. MY solution was to cancel and get a full refund. read more

With the amount of space that they have in their parking lot, they wouldn't let me park my personal vehicle in a spot that would never be occupied by customers that head to that store. I even got the managers acceptance letter to let me park there. But certain workers accepted a disgusting feeling about me making more amount of dough (I never showed them but they knew when I would show up at their store) than they did. This particular Home Depot was one of the last built in this section of West Plano and conveniently located off Custer and Parker. Because it was built in an established up-scale neighborhood, the exterior is very plush and hides an enormous building full of the same values we have all come to respect from Home Depot. Parking is exceptional here. Plenty of room for SUV's and large trucks. Despite it's size, the interior is well laid and out the entire store feels clean and exciting! Every aisle brimming with things you may not have even known you needed for future projects or just replacement needs. The garden and kitchen remodeling departments are a great place to shop because everything is in stock and well priced. And the lumber section smells so intoxicating! Great place to bring the wife and kids or if you are single, to people-watch! A very handsome male staff makes weekly visits a MUST! read more

I live in Plano and typically go to this Home Depot. I have never had any issues at this particular location. In fact, floor associates have been very helpful in locating items that I would never be able to find. I went in April and had racist experience with one of the floor associates. I spoke with an Assistant Manager who tried to deflect and blame ME for something his subordinate did. What was even more surprising is that I learned that this person was a supervisor. I came in looking for screen and was not certain where to find it. I wondered towards the back and saw a floor person. As I came towards her she tried to slip down another aisle to avoid me. I came to her and asked her where I could locate the screens for windows. She immediately got defensive and told me to back away from her. Mind you I was already far enough distance from her while being masked. Rose or Rosa was extremely hostile and defensive from the moment I asked her a question. She even refused to walk me over to find the product. In the past, associates have been very helpful as they know novices such as myself have the tendency to get lost. When I worked retail, we actually walk and SHOW the customer the item they were looking for. After this interaction, I walked over to another aisle and found another young man who helped me and showed me where I could locate the items. I contacted the store and talked to the Asst. Manager and the lying employee stated that I took my mask off and asked her for help which was not true. He then tried to cover for her and say that she had health issues like heart disease and that is why she reacted the way she did. I kindly explained to him that I never took my mask off to speak to Rosa and was far from her. I also informed him that if she had a problem with customers she should be behind the customer service desk and not working the floor bc customers will naturally ask questions. I take COVID-19 very serious which is why I always wear a mask! I contacted Customer Service about this and was constantly lied to about someone calling me back. I followed up a few times before because I was told that Carol a District Manager would call me. I contacted them AGAIN last week and was told "their current policy is that they are not contacting customers regarding customer service issues. " I was not too surprised by this at all. I will NEVER go to this store again. This was an example of terrible customer service. I guess you cannot expect much since most of these people are in their 40's and working retail. I came here because I needed to rent tools and this was the location they pointed me to. I walked in and the guy behind the counter was pretty lackluster. I told him that I wanted to rent a walk behind floor grinder. He shows me to the grinders and he asks, "How much are you grinding?" "About 200 sq ft." "You won't be able to do that with this grinder." "Why not?" "There's not enough pad left on there." So we settle on a floor polisher with a concrete prep pad. It wouldn't be so bad if the polishing pad hadn't been kludged together. Basically there are 4 pad assemblies on the disk and one of those assemblies was missing 3 teeth. Once you get the thing started up, it jumps around a lot and is very difficult to control and, who knows what the floor result would have been had the pad been balanced. When I came back to return it, I asked Tony, "Since y'all rented me a pad that was damaged, would you be able to give me a discount?" "No. You finished the job and that's it." "Really? The equipment was rented to me damaged and it was very difficult to control since it was unbalanced." "No, you didn't bring it back when you found the problem." That is true, but when you have a dead line, you deal with what you have, plus at the time we found the problem, tool rental was already closed. "Can I talk to the manager?" "No, he's not here." "Surely, there's a manager here at the store." "You'll need to go talk to customer service. So I go to customer service and I explain the situation to Linda. I say, "Hey, even if you can't do anything, I don't expect to be treated as I was by Tony. She comes and takes care of me at tool rental, I show her how the tool pad has teeth missing and gives me a $25 discount on the rental for the trouble. I can understand that the customer is not always right, and there are people out there that are looking for a free ride, but you can't treat everyone as if they're scamming you. I love this Home Depot. Generally it is in pretty good shape. My Main complaint is all of the stuff in the front of the customer isle at the front of the store. It is so crowded you cannot get your merchandise (you can forget, getting a sheet of plywood through there) down the isle with out knocking over store displays. There is no way for customers to look at the stuff in the middle of the isle, because then you are blocking the isle while trying to look. I know it is not the employee's fault, they are mandated by HD to place things this way and they are just doing their job. You just simply cannot navigate through the store because of product placement. The one person who always helps me a lot when I am in the Store is Curt in the customer service department. If he is not helping a customer, he always asks me if he can help. The crazy thing is Curt is in a wheel chair. I am not sure exactly why, but this guy is going way beyond some of the other employee's and he is somewhat disabled. Seems like the other employee's need to take a lesson from Curt. If they could do that and clear that front isle, I feel like the stress level in the entire store would change for the better. read more

My past experiences with Home Depot have not been the best, but today was whole lot different. Recently, I came to the conclusion that it was time for a new lawn mower. So I started shopping around online comparing price, brand and quality. Well, Home Depot has the best deal and decent quality lawn mower for my needs. While I could have ordered online and had it shipped, I decided to save time and just go in store to pick up. While the first few employees I walked past didn't seem welcoming or approachable, in a short period of time and nice gentleman made an appearance and asked if he could assist me. I told him of what I was looking for and he quickly grabbed a cart, loaded up what I needed and and answered a few quick questions. I was in and out pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but was completely amazed by the customer experience he gave me. If all Home Depot's and their employees where always this helpful and quick to get you taken care of, I would come more often. I give the place 3 stars because of the first couple of employees I crossed when I walked in and even the employees at the registers weren't even welcoming. But that 1 gentleman who did assist me was awesome! Guess if I have to make a stop back in, I hope to find that gentlemen again. When I purchased a costly refrigerator I thought I was purchasing a 3 year extended warranty. It was actually a 2 year warranty. I mislead. I was also told that it included a free filter every 6 months for two years. This turned out to be 50% off a filter after I mailed in a receipt to Samsung when I purchased it from Home Depot. You can purchase these filters for about 25% what Home Depot charges. An extended warranty is not worth buying. read more

Paint, paint and more paint. I was simply here to get paint samplers for testing in my new house. The poor guy behind the counter was overwhelmed, but still so patient and helpful. He answered my questions as though I was the only one standing there and matched my custom swatches perfectly. He never made me feel like he was rushed or irritated, although he had every right to be. After all, there were 7-8 of us waiting for help and he'd put out a couple of mayday calls over the speakers, only to have them go unanswered. I was really impressed with his professionalism and the ability to order paint samplers in any color I wanted. I will definitely be back to this paint department. read more

Sales Rep "Mel" was VERY RUDE. Brief description? He has gray hair and is going bald. Today, I came in to get a key made and the screen said "Please see associate for assistance." Mel was the first HD Associate I saw. So I asked him for help. "Excuse me, I was wondering if....." and before I could get out a full sentence, this man puts up his hand and told me "I'm busy right now." Really Mel? Because I followed him to the back of the store to get his name. Needless to say, Mel was everything BUT busy. Matter of fact, he walked over to a couple (looking at washers) and asked if he could assist them with something! LOL!! I'm sorry Mel I wasn't deserving of your help. Don't order online from Home Depot. I order online the website said they had 12. I placed my order and my credit card was charged. About 45 min later I got an email that said my Oder had been Canceled. I call he 800 number and was told that the store was out. I asked why my Credit Card was charged and was told the web site is never correct. I asked if you did not have the item why was my credit card charged and not charged after you were able to verify with the store that they in fact had the item. I was told the charge will come off my credit card within 5-7 days what a scam. I went online and placed my order with Lowe's never a problem. I have spent minimal of $15,000 on a remod2l of my home in the last 6 weeks, purchasing all my supplies from this location. I've also been a GC for the last 16 years, buying all my supplies from home depot. And today was the worast experience I've had with them ever. Refusing to exchange trim because it was cut. It was not long enough for what I needed. Yet until today an exchange was not an issue. They'd rather not help me over $22 in trim, then extend goid customer service because of the thousands I have spent. If I could tear everything out of my home now and return it I would. Paint Counter: 1 star Cashier at Checkout (Mili): 5 stars This Home Depot is the closest one to my home, but I try to avoid the paint counter due to numerous negative experiences. The two women that work mixing paint during the day would benefit from some customer service training. I can't understand why I am the only one saying "Hi" and "thank you." Both of them seem to do the bare minimum -- they are quick to tell you that they can't do something, but don't offer an explanation or an alternative. On the flip side, Mili at checkout was wonderful! She was friendly, efficient, and interested in what I was going to do with my paint purchase. I really appreciate her excellent service. Smiles always greet you've you walk in, usually a couple people ask if they can help you. Plenty of staff to help as well as well stocked in every area. It gets no better! My man Steve in plumbing knows everything! I'll go find him if I have a question about my home in any way, shape or form. We can talk for hours. Gary is the man with the plan when it comes to doors and windows. The young lady with the "Where the Wild Things Roam" tattoo's is super cool and always willing to point you in the right direction (front end manager, I think). There's an equally wise guy in the ceiling fan/electrical area- I can't recall his name, but he wears funny shoes...you'll know when you see him. Paint- yup, always helpful....sometimes the line is a bit long, but that's to be expected when you have people wanting help with colors, textures and whatnot. And if you can't find help on ANY isle, you are trying to hide- there's no way a person could walk thru that Home Depot and not get all the assistance they need- NO WAY!! I went during a non-busy time when the staff-to-customer ratio should have been (and was) in my favor. I wandered around the drain gutter section for quite a while, looking at my camera, trying to match what I needed to what they had. Two guys in orange over by the plants shooting the breeze. One even glanced my way. I went inside to (egads) plumbing. Clearly no place for a clueless-looking woman. Once again, trying to match P-trap stuff (yes, official term) to pictures I had on my phone. Two employees ON MY ROW talking to each other. Yes, I could have gone to ask one, but at this point I had changed my mission to see just how bad customer service could be. 7 minutes 26 seconds, I walked out. No one on the way out with a "did you find everything you need." These are the folks demanding that their jobs stay in the USA or at least not be changed with automation. Lowe's.
