The snap guys came to fix by 12 year old LG dryer. Took a couple visits to access, order part and install component. The guys were straight forward explaining my dryer problem down to its core and provided clear solutions to get it up and running. Both my wife and I were patient and it paid off. I've used this service for almost 3 years and no longer recommend it. I made an appointment with them to fix my dishwasher for 10:30am but rec'd a call at 10 saying they will be an hour late (saying they woke up late / had another appointment before me). The appointment ultimately did not fix anything anyway (very short and minimal diagnostic work done) and they still charged me a fee with the problem still occurring as they are leaving - I called to tell them to take another look but they just took the money and left (I eventually just decided to buy a new washer so I don't have to deal with this). He was victorious, and also fixed and hooked up my ice maker. For the first time in my adult life (I'm 60) I have a functioning ice maker! He had to wait a bit for the dishwasher part to come in- when it did, not only did he get it working, he caught that I hadn't punched out the drain plug in the disposal when I installed it. Okay, at first I was a bit upset since they were well outside their appointment window. But it turns out the call before me was a Sub Zero and if you know anything about appliances you know those things are basically commercial units, but sold to homeowners. Those are difficult units. When the tech arrived and was professional and polite, and it turns out he remembered fixing our dishwasher three years ago. I didn't even remember it being broken and it has obviously lasted three years from then so he knows how to fix things properly. They came for the kitchen refrigerator, but checked everything and it was still running like it was supposed to. So while he was here I asked him to check the garage fridge which I had another company check back in June and was about to replace. I had someone check it in June, and even had that company come back out and it still was acting up. At this time it is getting past 6pm, but he still checked it for me and gave me some advice on how to correct the issue. All of this he did and it was still less than the previous company that I only had check the garage fridge. Definitely a good value for me. I heartily recommend them. read more

These guys are beyond reputable! Honesty IS their policy. I've used them when I lived in Dallas and was pleased. So when I moved to Melissa because the water lo longer worked on my fridge I contacted ZOOM Appliance Repair (knowing I was no longer in their coverage area). The ZOOM technician told me I needed a to replace the inlet valve tank assembly ($287.11) plus the service fee ($89.95) tax = $297. That seemed high so I called John at SNAP APPLIANCES for advice and sure enough John agreed to come to Melissa on Saturday anyway. He did and immediately removed the water filter which was apparently clogged and wow the water worked perfectly again and he was my hero AGAIN! read more

This is an update from a prior review. I must give SNAP Appliance a 5 star and A+ rating. Previous review was due primarily to response time. But service is excellent. John was baffled because he was fixing another company's work. It turns out that he replaced a sensor board that was original. previous service company said they replaced the board, charged for it, and was never replaced. Previous company will not return calls. Storm knocked out our power overnight and tripped half of our switches in our breaker box. We got everything turned back on, but our washer refused to turn on, so I requested a quote from Snap since they'd been out to our house before to help fix a broken dishwasher and a broken microwave before. Our technician John, the same one who'd helped us before with our microwave and dishwasher, was able to come the same day and identified the issue in less than 5 minutes lol. Turns out, our breaker switch hadn't been fully turned back on, and he didn't charge us for anything except for the assessment fee, which was really nice of him considering it was basically our own fault. Great guy, super efficient, even remembered coming out to our house before and every detail of what he'd fixed the last time he came despite it being like almost a year ago. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Snap came out to fix my microwave and while there I asked them to take a look at my refrigerator that kept leaking that another repair company that was supposedly certified in GE applicances (which is what the refrigerator was) kept telling me there was nothing wrong with. Within 5 minutes Snap diagnosed the issue (there was a part completely missing) , ordered the part and returned once part was received to fix it and I have not had any leaks since. I've had such a run around with this company! I had to beg for them to come out and then they kept putting me off. Then, we they came out, they dented my wall when taking the dryer off of the washer and still haven't fixed it yet. Even though they said they would. This repair was done back in July 2024 and we are now in February of 2025. I have been very patient and understanding but I'm over it. Waiting 7 months for a repair that you caused is ridiculous. My Dryer went out when we had power surges. I read rave reviews about this company here on Yelp and was not disappointed! I did read up on what the issue could be - the blower motor and/or wheel. I am not a trusting person when it comes to repairs being done. The repairman got here on time and within 30 minutes was done. He explained things to me. He did say "uh-oh" when he took the back off the dryer and said the blower wheel was slightly off the base. He fixed it and done! He didn't try to sell me anything or say the motor was bad. I made an appointment with them thru Yelp for appliance repair (washer and dryer) for a Saturday morning between 10-11. By noon, I had to call them. I had a problem with my Bosch dishwasher not draining. John cleaned out the drain line, removed, examined and cleaned the pump but was not positive that he had fixed the problem. He had the knowledge to know how to run a "short cycle" and noticed that the previous error was not displayed. He told me to run the dishwasher for a full cycle and text him the result and he would return if the same error occurred. Despite the fact that he spent an hour working the problem he only charged me for a service call -- so I gave him a tip and thanked him for his service. When I called them I was actually waiting to hear back from another location, but when I saw the urgent manner they were willing to help me and schedule someone to come out I figured I'd give them a try. Bebo, the service specialist came promptly, was knowledgeable and polite - ended up fixing the issue I had with the dishwasher latch not locking, plus gave me a tutorial on the very confusing Frigidaire starting load instructions, not to mention even taking care of a sink problem that wasn't even part of the job. More value added than what they actually charged me! If you use another company for this type of work you're overpaying. I'm a Snap customer from here on out! read more
