There is an…read moreolder lady named Jill that has always taken the time to make sure I had everything I needed for my project, usually generating add-on sales to my project's benefit but the disappointment of my wallet. While most of the staff is outgoing and helpful, last weekend Jill was especially helpful and helped me work through my project needs to avoid a follow-up trip for something I forgot. I took it home, and it turned out their book crossed it to the wrong one, so I went back, and they HAD the longer one! This is no ordinary belt: it's 140" long, 5/8' wide, and made with Kevlar. This is not the first time Big G has surprised me with their stock. If I have something odd, I take it there first, as they have it many times. From hydraulic fittings, hose material, belts, filters, even a 30-year-old car's alternator, they've come thru. I go here first, not A-Z or O.

I've had really helpful gentlemen at this store (both young and old) help me out with various project questions and issues I've had. Even had them go in the back and fix a couple things for me which I was extremely grateful for. However, the last time I was there customer service sucked. It was all women. I stopped a young girl and asked very politely if she knew where WD-40 was. She said she had no idea and took off. I was kind of flabbergasted, and I just assumed that she went to go ask someone and would find me to let me know. Nope, she literally just said no and took off. It was so bad customer service it was almost funny. Then the cashier who rang me out was whatever. Chit chattin with another employee right there bitching about something work-related right in front of me. Just wasn't the best experience this time around. Overall, it's a convenient hardware store so I'll continue to return if it need something. There are no other hardware stores in Princeton unless you want to count Walmart.

Paid $250 to have my insurance updated so I could sell for the "Westlake Group". Went through a…read morerigorous check to get onboarded. Delivered my first order in January and still have not been paid. Its now August. Store manager tried to help, but corporate office doesn't pay their bills. They take advantage of small businesses. Stay away and support another local shop before you give them your money.

I picked up a couple of tanks, and she told me that they were out of propane, and to call the next day at 8am. I called at 8:05 am the next day, and was advised that they had propane. I showed up ten minutes later, and after waiting 45 minutes in line in 39 degree weather to fill up my tanks, I was a happy camper. I had good conversation with some of the other customers. The gentleman filling the tanks was very friendly, and didn't seem bother by the line that continued to grow. I am grateful for TSC and their staff for providing a much needed service!

The new quote for all the above was TWICE the original quote. It seems the original employee (who was very helpful by the way), didn't realize there were different prices for purchasing different amounts (?). I was told by HD that they "cannot help it that an employee gave me the wrong info." All of this took place over 3 days.
