We purchased the duralux floor which is clearly cheaply made and now we are dealing with the consequences. 6 months after installation the planks started popping up, and the floor itself is chipping. We started the warranty process with floor and decor. They have you send a lot of pictures, fill out a form. Then they send out an inspector. We were home during the inspection and when the inspector was testing the humidity I specifically asked him what our levels were. He said "typical for texas.". When the findings came back what do you know? They blamed part of the issues with the floor based on humidity. The other findings didn't make sense as we looked them over with our contractor, who we personally know and who is successfully building entire houses with zero issues. Floor and Decor does not stand by their products. Their warranty along with Duralux is non existent. As a company, they don't care about their customers. I know this because I work with another company processing warranty claims all day and we actually take care of our customers. Our floor has gotten so bad that my toddler ended up slicing a chunk of his foot and we can't afford to pay for the whole process again. I will never buy from this company again. read more

First time entering Floor &Decor. No clue where I was going. Mia greeted me with a genuine friendly hello ! And quickly me headed in the right direction to meet Jake so he could help me find my tile. This store was SO CLEAN !! And ORGANIZED! Everyone was friendly ! Being new to looking for items to remodel a home, I was impressed with the fact it took Mia 1 second to tell me I had Travertine tile in my hand! You GO GIRL. Jake signed me up for a PRO account since it will fit our needs and sent me home with samples and a few goodies that they have for new customers! Cashiers were awesome. We're driving to Oklahoma and got there at 6 to get our floors which they had in stock unlike most of the other floor and decors in Dallas area. It took awhile to get the product and then get our cc to go through since it was a large purchase. They close at 7. We didn't have to option to pick up our order later since we are going home tonight. The loaders of the product had to stay 20 min after closing to help load onto our U-Haul trailer and were obviously not happy. We had to modify the pallets the floors were on to fit. Not the best customer service and as service providers ourselves we would never treat our customers that way. Hopefully this location does better in the future bc we absolutely love floor and decor. I was so happy to find prefinished solid oak floors at a good price. read more

This place is overwhelmingly massive. In some ways that's great because there are a lot of options to choose from, but if you're looking for something in particular, good luck. Another flaw they have is the availability of associates. I only saw 1 guy in the tile and grout section and for the whole 20 minutes I spent walking around in circles trying to find a tiny grout pen among all the items, he was busy helping another customer. Kudos to him for seemingly going above and beyond for them, but good grief, I was visibly lost and would've appreciated a "can I point you in the right direction?" type of assistance. Instead, I continued circling and circling for those 20 minutes because I didn't want to come across as *stealing* the associate from the other customers. Either way, had there been more folks around to help, my half hour errand would've taken 10, tops. Checking out was weird. I think I interrupted a customer hitting in the cashier. What a great Floor & Decor here at McKinney. Jake, Sal, Jared, and Alicia are not only professional but also really helpful. There are a wide selections of tiles, porcelains, floorings, transitions pieces and more. We came in for one project. Now we will be seriously considering expanding our project. The other staff are also friendly. They will check in with you to see what you need help with. Super helpful. The show-room sections where exhibiting the bathrooms/floor+wall styles are designed with panache. Walked into the store and two girls sitting on phones. Walked to get the tile we already wanted. Asked for help, guy came over said he is an installer and walked off. Went back up front and asked for more help but girls couldn't get off their phones. We left after 20 minutes and very frustrated. We are remodeling an entire home. We will not be back! read more

Worst customer service ever. Was talking to a neighbor and they said the same thing. No help at all. The girls they have working will not move a finger to help in anyway. They stand at the front chatting each time I go to get supplies. Today they ignored my obvious struggles and were visiting about Someones upcoming marriage. They never offer to help with loading or unloading and always say they can't assist they are busy (chatting) and there is never anyone that is available. For price checks they make me go to the isle and look it up myself. I hate to drive all the way to The Colony to purchase my items but it's my only option to get support. read more

Building a home out of state is not an easy process. I was delighted to find out that I could meet with a designer locally here in McKinney and make my selections for my new home under construction in NC. I worked with their designer Jacqueline Festa Anzualda as well as Melanie Patterson their Assistant Pro Manager. Jacqueline made the selection process easy and really listened to me and helped me to navigate all the details. Her attention to detail and follow up was outstanding! Melanie liaised with the NC store and followed up on multiple occasions and made what could have been stressful into an overall pleasant experience. She went above and beyond and was so patient and friendly and provided solutions every step of the way even locating tile the NC store didn't have in a Plano Store and arranging to have it shipped saving the day!! we went to Floor and Decor at University Dr to buy carpet for our new home and realized that they do not carry carpet. that said a young associate named Jake convinced us to buy hard wood instead for the floors. he also arranged the contractor thru a third party called IME. our visit to this store was less than 20 minutes and we were all set for the floor shopping. Once we received the shopping list from the contractor I re-visited the store and another young associate name CJ got together the items needed by the contractor and made this shopping so easy for us. what a great and FAST service we received from these young associates. Have to split this review up between a couple of locations. We placed a large order at the Plano location, easy peasy, no problem. She had to have us pick up our orders at multiple locations due to availability of the tile. We picked up the Plano order. No problem. Went to pick up the order at the Colony, they didn't pull our order and put it aside so it got sold!!! We were devastated as the lady in Plano had found the last of the tile we wanted and now this tile is backordered for months because the team over at the Colony didn't do their job. Not good attitudes or service AT ALL!!! We asked when it would be back in stock, they didn't know, they said all they could do was send an email....come on. LAZY - TERRIBLE - SERVICE as far as pulling tile for pick up orders. Moving on to our pick up in Mckinney, it was ready to go and everyone was sooooo helpful. They listened to our concern from the COLONY location and came up with a remedy for us in no time. We got a refund from the Colony order, Mckinney found us tile we liked IN STOCK and they loaded it right up. They revealed that what happened in the COLONY was not typical and mismanagement or back room negligence definitely was in play there. I recommend the design team. They were very helpful. I cannot recommend the shipping department. They botched my order twice. They use 3rd party delivery services and their communication between all parties appears to be lacking. Their phone system isn't working well so I had to drive all the way down there twice to fix it. We went to the McKinney location today looking for items for our bathroom project. Unlike some of the other big home improvement stores we were able to find everything we needed...and had options! If you're doing a tile project this is definitely the place to go. A young man helped us named Dylan and he was awesome! He actually knew what he was talking about and was my youngest sons age! LOL most of those big stores has people that don't know crap muchless care. He even stayed with us helping us get everything we needed and scanned all the items as we went. Guess they do this with everyone because not one person waiting in line at the checkout! So if you need a little help or have a question about your project I would definitely go to Floor and Decor! Front end staff needs more training. I walked up with my purchase to 3 women at 2 cash registers. The first woman didn't speak, but just pointed at the other register. 2 women were doing some task with the machine and didn't speak to me at all. I placed an order and payed over $200 for shipping from another store. This store could not locate my order and was suppose to find it and call me back. They never did. They never answer their phone. I had to call another store to find out about my order, which according to the shipping carrier F & D ordered it 3 days late. I will now receive it 3 days late which is now putting my project behind possibly over a week. read more

i went to the McKinney location for the first time to pick up some caulk and a grout renewing product. During my visit, I encountered 4 different employees plus one of them called the manager to ask him the answer to my question. The question was " Where is you clear silicone caulk? The first employee said probably down one of these two or three aisles. The second employee on one of those aisles told me he thought it was up at the check out. At the check out, I found some white silicone, but no clear. I asked the cashier if she could tell me where it was and was told that she didn't know, but asked yet another employee to help me find it. I heard him say to himself that he didn't know where it was. He called the store manager on a phone and I heard the manager say he thought it might be at the checkout. I finally resolved to myself that nobody knew anything about their stock and checked out with a couple of items that I did find and decided to go to Lowe's. Like I said this was my first visit to F&D and will probably be my last! read more

Had the most frustrating time at this place. The first time we went here, all the employees seemed really busy so we waited. After seeing an employee get done with another customer, we approached her asked who we could talk to about remodeling our bathroom and she straight up said she can't answer or help with ANYTHING unless we make an appointment cuz that takes away her time out of her busy schedule. A bit rude but sure, ok...so we made an appointment. We went to our appointment and the design specialist that was supposed to help us out was busy with another couple who did not even have an appointment with her and came to us 20 minutes later. And in the middle of our appointment kept running to other customers to help them out while the lady, the day before wouldn't even look at another customer? . Although she was super sweet, she was no help, pretty much told us to look at vanities online and pick something out and was all over the place with no real suggestions. We could've done all that ourselves..What's the point of making an hour long appointment with a design specialist then??? read more
