I found this World Market's stock a week before Christmas to be full and not just the dredges. Lots of very cute gifts to treat loved ones to. Parking was easy and you're treated with coffee samples at the front door instead of in the back with the rest of the coffee beans. But, like other reviews have indicated, the team here has not figured out how to balance check out volume. My husband and I divided and conquered (I went to finish our shopping in Michaels while he stayed in line to pay), but yeah I could see how the line would be annoying if you were shopping alone. read more

One of my most favorite stores around. When my Asian store were still starting new and not really carrying snack I miss the most, I always come here to try my luck to find those things( for a price but it's worth it). I always find myself here around the holiday season for unique gifts for foodie family and friends. Wine, beer, crackers, event kitchenware that American household don't usually carry... it's here, trust me. OMG. What a great store. Mike had never been in a World Market. This store has a little bit of everything from a little bit of everywhere. We were easily in there and hour and a half. I'm amazed at all the different stuff they have managed to get in this one store. We looked at all the sections, but spent most of our time in the food section. Wouldn't you?! Just the names of the different products tell you what an interesting place our world is. We both bought a couple of things to try. Our favorite product was from New Zealand. And it was really good. this makes me sad to even have to write this review, but hopefully it saves a trip to another busy mama. I spent AN HOUR here today trying to buy a mirror and chair. The price on the chair was $350 (on sale) and it was attached to the chair. They wouldn't sell it to me because they said it was priced wrong. ‍ Next. A mirror that WAS NOT ON DISPLAY. It was full price and I was ok with it because I need a mirror for a project I'm working on. They said they can't sell it because it was supposed to be hung on the wall as a display, but I can order one online and pick up in store. What!? That is not ok. I spent an hour waiting to speak to a manager to make an exception. There are many things that aren't available in store that are online. It's just life. But no. They didn't. Instead they wasted my time and energy. Hey manager and cashier gal. Maybe take off the mask and get some oxygen in your brain. Maybe then you'll be kind to paying customers and not roll your eyes at them and sound annoyed because of YOUR mistake. Just ridiculous. This review is about their customer service and use of their curb side service. I had found an item in the store and asked an associate to apply the 10% curb side coupon. The cashier said no and I had to buy online, let them check it in, and we would pickup. I purchased the item online, gave the cashier the item, the order number, but still I could not pickup the item. Here I am 1.5 hr later and still the order is not ready for pickup. Store is closing in a hour. Do I have to come back the next day after doing their job for them??? read more

I really like the unique gifts here. The store sometimes feels cluttered and the items are a bit overpriced (can buy same thing online for cheaper). I've been to this location several times during lunch hours on the week and it can get busy. They sometimes dont staff enough cashiers to keep line going quickly. read more

I agree with others that the customer service at this location is sorely lacking. I called Thursday morning looking for a particular chandelier shade I'd seen online and this was the only location in the metroplex that was showing having one in stock. I spoke to Donna who and gave her all of the information on the item. She told me they showed having two in stock although one might be a display. She indicated the store hadn't yet opened but when they did she would have someone named Chris look for it and call me back. I never received a call. The following day I was off from work and was running errands so I decided to drive out there hoping to find it. I asked for Donna, explained who I was and told her no one had called me the day before. It was at this point that she informed me that Chris was off the day prior so he had not looked for it. She proceeded to look for this item on her handheld devices, one of which showed no stock and that the item had been discontinued, but then another device showed two in stock. She went to the back to have Chris look for this, and that was the last time anyone said a single word to me. I sat outside of the back room for what seemed like 20 or 25 minutes and not a single person came out to give me a status. It was around lunchtime so for all I know they were back there enjoying their lunch while I sat waiting. Needless to say I ended up walking out. This store has a lot to learn about good customer service skills. You would think in a time like this businesses would be clamoring for sales having been closed for a couple of months due to the pandemic. read more

I want to say this is the best World Market location I have been to because of two employees. Melissa & Brenna gave us amazing service. We orginally went to another store and they didn't have what we needed. So we drove 30 minutes to this location because we really wanted some outdoor items in another color. When we got there we discovered they didn't have all of the items as promised but Melissa was went out of her way to track down what we needed. She reserved the item to make sure we didn't drive somewhere else without a confirmation. Melissa & Brenna answered our other questions, knew very detailed product knowledge, carried furniture so we could compare colors, and even made sure our 20% coupon would be honored at the other location. I came in to return a gift today and Mari, at checkout, was downright rude to me. I had the receipt, but since it was a gift I did not have the same credit card. She said she couldn't give me a refund at all. She could only give me store credit. I asked her what about people who lost their card or it was stolen. She told me that was a bank problem. Then she told me that she needed to call a manager because it was time for her to go home and she was done dealing with me. SERIOUSLY. SHE ACTUALLY SAID THAT. I assure you, I did not raise my voice, I wasn't rude, I wasn't agitated. There was no reason to treat me that way When the manager came, he made it seem like the refund was no big deal and could get t taken care of right away. I explained to him what happened with Mari and he was very apologetic. He allowed me to put the refund on my own debit card and gave me a tin of cookies. He promised to take care of the problem, but who knows what that means? I'm hoping that Mari was just having a bad day and that's not really how she normally is. read more

We are in the middle of a national pandemic and these people acted like me buying something from their store was a crime. They were rude, refused to help and made picking something up very hard. Not the best customer service. I wanted to purchase something that had a $5 off for curbside pick up. I showed them in store and they would t honor it unless I purchased it online first... so I did.... Had my receipt and number... but they walked away... left me at the counter because their system could t fine the order.... Before I went into this store, I looked at their website to get an idea.... Went into the store and walked ALLLLL around and found something different that I thought might work. As soon as we got there a gentleman (maybe Isaac) greeted us. Finally I was ready for help and went to the front and found him---told him there may be a piece I was interested in but I wanted to know about something I found online...he said he never saw that piece--maybe Mary knows. Welll Mary did not like being drawn away from her Candy Crush game and said---I am sure you did not know the price of this lounger you saw online but it is around $4,000, and we do not have it anyway. I've walked my pet through this store for over two months and today a cashier stopped me and confirmed with management that dogs aren't allowed unless service animals. World Market is not a store you will ever need on a daily basis but it certainly comes through in he clutch at gift giving time. They carry a lot of wicker furniture and Pier One type knick-knacks but the main draw are the imported beers, and assorted goodies. Additionally, they have a tremendous wine selection with brief informational cards next to each to assist some of us who are vino-challenged. Lastly, if you need some good stemware, particularly martini glasses, shakers and mixing sets, you need not look any further. Where World Market really shines is when you decide you want to be original and put together your own gift basket. Again, there is wicker everywhere and tons of goodies in small packages. Most importantly, you can always find a helpful employees who will offer advice on what items complement each other. So whether you need some pear cider, or tiki tumblers or a can of spotted dick (an English delicacy, get your mind out of the gutter), World Market is the place for you. Usually when I stop into World Market, I already have a pretty clear idea of what I'm there to get. They have their store laid out with kitchen gadgets, diningware, and table linens on the left; food, wine towards the center; office furniture, pillows, clothing, paintings, and wall decor on the right (for the most part). They carry Kinder chocolate, an assortment of food from different cultures, and neat items not easily found in your typical store here. My husband and I enjoy coming here for their furniture, which is often on sale. To this day, we still love the bar and chair found at World Market. This place isn't really kid-friendly since there's a lot of items that can be broken, but it is fun to kill 30 minutes to an hour just wandering around. Staff is okay, the gentleman that usually helps is really nice and everyone else seems like they can't really be bothered. Tip: Sign up for World Market Explorer for awesome discounts. My husband and I stopped here on a whim on 12/23, and ended up finding lots of good last-minute Christmas gifts- we'd been looking all over for a quality martini shaker for my mom that wasn't $20, and found a great one that came with 2 glasses and a bottle of cosmopolitan mixer, for $15! We also stumbled across some pumpkin ale that was $3.99 for a six pack. That was a deal not to be missed! Then, we even discovered some stocking stuffers too... I am officially a fan. Ok this place is amazing on so many levels! It's only my second time coming but it's a new favorite. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Today they had a wine sampling and of course I had to go check it out. They sell a wide variety of wine and beers. I love, love, love this store and this location. It has a very boho, eclectic feel to it that gets me lost in there for over an hour every time. Most recently we purchased all of our towels from World Market. Not only are they soft and hold up really well with washing, but they are different and not something you would see anywhere else. We've gotten quite a few compliments on them when people come to our home. We have purchased a few throw pillows as well for couches, beds, etc. I love the selection and the variety of colours. This store really does have a little of everything. From housewares, to clothing, food and even wine. I found these amazing spicy mango gummies during my last visit. I love that every time, there's always something different that I didn't see before. Their pricing is far below what I would pay at other stores for similar products which easily makes this one of my favourite stores to show at. I'm sure before long our house will have many more items from World Market. read more

I've been here a couple times, never really found anything but over priced random items. They used to carry a pretty awesome collection of different wines you would never find anywhere else, that is until they opened the Total Wine store next door and trumped their selection.. for cheaper too. I walked around for about 45 minutes and no one ever offered to help with anything. I love what they have in the store, the variety of products and quantity of merchandise is great. Better with customer service. Although I have noticed that customer service is lacking here in Frisco area. On my way out at checkout I was sharing with the cashier about my coupon and he said it's too early for coupons.
