Was shopping for a new Traeger, and saw they came down in price during "black Friday/week". Went by the local Elliott's, spoke to the same employee I met a year ago who sold me my first Traeger (Victor) and concluded the deal. This store is so helpful like the old days of the local hardware store. Every employee is nice and helpful. I will continue to patronize this store prior to the Big Box stores. I have been shopping at Elliot's Hardware for years and the staff is always so helpful. There is an older lady named Jill that has always taken the time to make sure I had everything I needed for my project, usually generating add-on sales to my project's benefit but the disappointment of my wallet. While most of the staff is outgoing and helpful, last weekend Jill was especially helpful and helped me work through my project needs to avoid a follow-up trip for something I forgot. I wanted to give a big shout-out to Elliott's Hardware in Fairview, Texas, specifically to Kenneth Maleska and store manager, Victor Baidoo. I came into the store to consider a grill, and Kenneth was extremely accommodating, providing extensive details on all of the grilling products Ace Hardware sells. I wasn't ready at that time, but Kenneth assured me that when I was ready, he and Victor would be available to help. Fast forward a few weeks, I contacted Kenneth to tell him I was prepared to buy the grill. He and Victor confirmed that only two were left at the warehouse without me asking. Kenneth returned my call and said Victor would meet me at the store to place the order, even though it was his day off. Now that's customer service! In closing, Victor did meet me the next morning. He assisted in my purchase and I told him what a wonderful team he has at the Fairview, Texas store. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Kevin and his team! I purchased a grill and went to pick it up on Christmas Eve and realized it was too big for my truck. Kevin didn't skip a beat and arranged for it to be delivered to my son - at no extra charge! Within 20 minutes they had the grill off the floor and loaded on the truck. The guys were so helpful, kind and accommodating! My son said they were amazing upon delivery as well. Can't say enough good things about my experience that day! Thanks, guys! read more

Everyone else is out of space heaters Thank you, Elliots! Seems like annually we get the weather in the 20s in January and or February. A do/cat shelter I support locally put out a call for space heaters last year during the Big now-famous Texas Power grid disruption! there were humans dying of exposure so you can imagine the plight of a pet shelter with no heat. Looking around at the usual places Home Depot Lowes etc, no heaters available! Sold Out! My last thought was Elliotts and I called. They quickly price-matched a deal that I found online, and it was an easy decision to support this local family-operated hardware store branch. Elliott's is my hardware store of choice. While it's smaller than HD and L, they still have everything I've needed for home repair. Today's case was special though... weather is about to freeze tonight. My outdoor faucet was broken and leaking. I was helped by Ian at the store, he explained what I needed to do. He even chased me down at the counter with a replacement part and said, "if you don't need it just return it. But you should get it now in case." He was 100% right... as I worked on the faucet, that was the exact assembly I needed. Thank you Elliott's and extra thanks to Ian! Well done! read more

If I could give negative starts I would. I had one quart of paint mixed here because I needed Benjamin Moore brand. It was IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone via phone. And when I showed up I had to wait half an hour for anyone who could help me. Keep in mind my paint was already mixed and ready I just could not find anyone to help me locate it so I could paint. Definitely will not use them again. read more

Had two bad experiences at Elliott Hardware store in Fairview. First visit, was told to wait for manager to come back to the store in order to order hardware. When manager returned, manager told us we needed to go to Plano store to order hardware as his hardware person only works specific days of the week. Second visit, try to return items based on what the salesperson said we could do. In trying to return items, manager was rude, did not apologize for the incorrect information that the salesperson provided, and gave me several lectures on the return policies. In trying to understand which salesperson provided the incorrect information, he gave descriptions of his sales people with non-inclusive descriptions, which was off-putting. I will never return to this specific store. read more

Today I drove all the way into Dallas to a certain Cobbler to help with a purse repair. Once I got there, I was told that there was nothing they could do to help; in fact, they had seen this same issue with the same purse at least 4 times over the past year. I left there annoyed that I had driven so far to get such disappointing news. On a hunch, I went to Elliott's Hardware in Fairview and was lucky enough to be assisted by Ron, who helped me find 2 small pieces of hardware (for a total of $2.15) that would work to fix my purse. He spent time listening to me, then searching for a very particular screw, then cutting the screw, then assembling it all for me. I was blown away by his kindness and interest in such a small transaction. Elliott's has won me as a customer for life, and next time I'm certain I will spend more than $2.15 Thank you, Ron, for saving the day! read more

Absolutely love this place. Their prices are usually better than Home Depot or Lowe's, better quality products, and a very helpful staff. Paid $6.99 for Home Depot's orbital sander paper and had to throw it away it was so bad. The Gator brand equivalent product at Elliott's was $4.99 and so much better. It's a shame they get so little business in Fairview. read more

I have bought a lot of paint from Elliott's over the last few months. Painted the entire inside of my house. Sometimes you have to ask for help in the paint department but they are very helpful and usually pretty quick to prepare what I need. They also had an awesome foam roller with slits that works amazingly well on my horrible textured walls. Have not seen such an item at the big box stores. I enjoy shopping at the Fairview store and really feel like they want my business! Would recommend. read more

I called the store and asked if they could mix up two paint samples and the girl said, "Just come in and we can mix it when you're here." So off I went and stood there in the paint section while the guy took care of another customer who came in after me with a big project. More staff than customers and nobody helped. 10 minutes wearing a mask and sweating. We are painting the entire exterior brick and I will ask my GC to purchase the paint from ACE now. Yes, we are experiencing a pandemic and tensions are high, all the more reason to mix two samples of paint and leave them on the counter. read more
