Elliott's has great customer service and always has what I need. Their selection of bolts and washers is impressive.

If you can't find it at Home Depot or Lowe's, then try Elliott's. This place is very clean and the worker is very helpful.

I first stumbled upon this Elliott's when neither Home Depot nor Lowe's had a cabinet fixture that I needed.

The first impression when you walk in is that the place is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. There are several vendors inside with rented spaces and that gives people who come here to shop a huge selection. There is furniture, collectibles, t-shirts, and more inside the place. Each vendor brings something a little unique to the mix, making it an eclectic place to shop. Today is seemed like several of the vendors, most of whom already had pretty fair prices, we're having a sale, bringing even more value to the shoppers. I bought a beautiful antique small writing desk and got it for what I think was a great price. I also bought several small collectibles on sale for very reasonable prices. It was a great place to visit and I will be back periodically to keep an eye on what the vendors bring in to sell...

Well, one of the ladies who works here saw me outside walking in and did not say hello or Welcome. I walked in anyway to see if that would change and it didn't. I was never acknowledged. You can use your imagination here. The thing is I usually spend money at antique stores, but I will never spend money here. The selections were sub par at best. Most of the items aren't truly antique.

I collected the chlorine from the front desk and made a separate purchase for the seasonings. I didn't use the seasonings until this weekend when I fired up my smoker. It was then that I noticed the "best by" date was from May 2023. While I understand that a "best by" date is just a guideline, two years past that date is quite excessive. I called the store to request an exchange but was told "NO" due to their 30-day policy, which I understand. However, the "manager" repeatedly informed me that seasonings don't expire; they just lose their smell, potency, and flavor. He emphasized multiple times that they were not "expired." Having cooked for over 20 years, I know what happens to seasonings past their prime. When they lose their intended qualities, I typically discard them as they no longer serve their purpose. So, I ask you this: What do you buy seasonings for? The smell? The flavor? The potency? All of these attributes diminish over time. The fact that this store sells products with dates from two years ago is quite concerning. Since the manager offered no assistance, I will be leaving reviews to inform the public that this location sells outdated products and is inflexible with their "policy."

Explained cleaning and what they do as they own the smoker I got. We had to order and I knew exactly when the order needed to be in, when the store would receive it and what day was pick up. It was ready a day ahead of what they said. We got there about 5 min prior to closing but were so nice waiting til the truck arrived to load it (SIL was getting off work and rushing over). Even though it was after closing they loaded it and I never heard a harsh remark or saw a roll of eyes. Definitely will always see if I can buy from them as needed.

They are probably okay for professional painters that know what to ask for & have no need for professional opinions. I went there because of buying paint for exterior & interior walls. Only problem with that experience was one question pertaining to ceiling paint. I asked them for their best ceiling paint & bought the only one they mentioned. Turned out it had a very pronounced gray tone & we had wanted a very bright flat white. For this I consider 1/2 my fault for not saying I wanted a white ceiling & not one with a gray appearance. Anyway it cost twice as much as it should have because all the ceilings had to be repainted. The reason I'm writing this review is for two reasons. First I asked them for an acrylic primer that would be the best one to use on new wood trim for doors & windows. I specifically mentioned that I wanted a sandable primer. They gave me PPG SEAL GRIP Interior/Exterior Acrylic Universal Primer/Sealer ( 17-921 ). After spraying the trim & letting it dry for five days, I tried to sand all the trim to make it smoother. After seven hours of trying to sand the trim to make it smoother I gave up. It was not 'sandable' to get a smooth surface. I had to scrape a few areas down to wood & then apply a lot of pressure to remove the primer over a large area to even approach a reasonable smoothness. Second reason When I went in to complain the manager was defensive & arrogant. He also belittled me because of the time I had spent on the internet researching the problem. "So you think you are an expert now because of looking at the internet" "Just because you read comments by professional painters doesn't mean they are right" etc..... He said all primers are sandable. I told him if they don't create a powder & they quickly gum up the sanding blocks. They should not be sold as a sandable primer (especially if it has detail like trim) I think because I was getting pretty upset he chose three gallons of a different primer & gave them to me. As he put the primer in the back of the car he just had to give me another "zinger" about my knowledge derived from the internet. Just for your information, my research indicates that the oil/solvent based primers are typically more sandable than the acrylic ones. Also if you want to use a really good sandable acrylic primer & don't mind paying a little more. Eurolux, C2, & XIM seem to be the one's favored for giving the best results. Finally today I called technical support for Pittsburg Paint. The person I talked to said the 'Universal' acrylic was not a good choice for trim & would result in the sanding media to be gummed up quickly. I suggested that they try to find a way to educate their retailers about which products are better suited for specific projects. Trim, walls, exterior, etc... Total cost to us, about 1/3 of the trim will have to be thrown away or used in low traffic areas. Three gallons of primer ( I won't use what they gave us ). About 20 hours of time more than what should have been required.
