Best place ever to eat I love the chicken platter. With extra white sauce. Everything is good here the gyro the rice everything is so delicious one of my favorite place to eat on Buford Highway. read more

It's Mediterranean fast food. Not gourmet fine dining. It's good, cheap, fast, and satisfying. I had the combo platter with white sauce. Would get it again. My one complaint is that there is a picture of tabouli on the menu, but was not listed as a menu item. Would have loved some tabouli. read more

Came for the 1 year anniversary. Food was great and staff was very friendly and accommodating! I recommend getting the combo platter with all the sauces! read more

I am so glad Halal has expanded to Atlanta ! I used to always love it as a late night food run in NYC. It's always such a good idea. Extra white sauce please! read more

Loved the food and the atmosphere! The staff was so nice and welcoming! I will definitely be back!

Three stars is about right for this inauthentic Middle Restaurant. The combo platter is usually my go to item. The falafel needs a lot of work. The fries are okay. This place will satisfy, but not blow you away. It can be a nice little break from all the neighboring Asian restaurants. read more

Foods pretty good. White sauce is on point! However, they do not let you call ahead for pick-up, dumb. And they dont deliver, weak! Place is usually a mess, but thats prob because of the crazy high volume. Price points are too high as well. Prob gonna stop eating here... read more

I've had the pleasure of working within walking distance to this awesome food. Yes, this is a chain. No, they ain't from the south. But dang, does it hit the spot. Typically, I order to-go lunch meals. And once I've placed a large catering order. When ordering for yourself, there are two bowl sizes. A small is just enough and a large (for me) is enough for lunch, plus a bit to much on as an after-work snack. Meat options are either chicken or gyro, but go for the combo meat bowl to try both. Pile on the extras: amazing seasoned rice, fresh tomato, shredded iceberg lettuce, pita triangles, a few dribbles of their hot sauce (FEW!), and please load up on that white sauce. Let me tell ya, that white sauce is somethin' else. When ordering catering, be patient. Place your order well in advance, as the response time to confirm your order details may drag out. The communications are also not very detailed, almost led me to believe I needed a back-up plan if the food didn't show up at the office. Eek. But I insisted Halal call me several times prior to delivery and even when they were on the way. It all worked out and my team was pleased and excited to try a little something different! Bonus about catering: the white sauce comes in packets, so any leftovers can come home with me! Parking is available on-site and you cannot miss the bright yellow and red building. Oh, and there's indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Great food. Easy small menu. Combo Chicken & Gyro meat Sandwich is excellent. Baba Ghanouj is very tasty. Portions were large. Service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend. Food score in high nineties. Took home leftovers. Will return. read more

This was a delivery order so, YMMV. Ordered both the chicken and beef gyro platters, falafels, and baklava. Both platters were delicious and a great deal for the price. Two platters were enough for 3 of us with leftovers. Their sauce is great and Keto friendly, if such things are important to you. Zero carbs! The only thing I was disappointed in was the baklava. It was just fine, but seemed a little pricey for 1 small piece (based on the pic online I thought it was 2). I'll definitely be ordering again! read more

Halal guys is fantastic! Immaculately clean. Food is fresh and flavorful. Trust them when they say their hot sauce is HOT! I can only do two strips at most. Eat in to take advantage of the fact that they come around and will give you more white sauce and red sauce. read more

This Halal Guys location doesn't offer the genuine taste of the iconic NYC one. I ordered a mixed chicken + gyro and fries based on my previous experience in NYC but unfortunately it wasn't as good as the original one. read more

I finally had a chance to go here after passing it by for years. It was worth the wait. Phenomenal food. Was expecting B+ food, above average but not blow you away. Well I got blown away. Super great. I tried both beef and chicken and I recommend the chicken. Did not sample the falafel. Prices definitely reasonable as well. Will be making a trip back soon. read more

Helpful workers and awesome food ! I got the platter (chicken and flaffel ). Food had plenty of flavor!

This is my go to spot every Saturday before work. I am treated like family here and they always give me the best customer service. I absolutely love their food. Best bang for your buck in town! read more

Good but it's not what I remember having in New York. But I do come here time to time when I crave it. If it's your first time, try the chicken and gyro platter, it's the most popular/ go-to. read more

This was not a good experience. Friday I ordered a wrap and fries. The meat was over cooked and chopped to thin. Fries were cold...just not good for the price. read more

Yummy food. Watch out for that hot sauce, it's not messing around . Great service as well.

Never a problem when it comes to ordering food from The Halal Guys. Being that I'm from NYC and seeing that they're out here is clutch. Great food (falafel) was excellent and I'm not a Falafel person. read more

We split the beef gyro plate with extra meat and it was plenty for us. I was skeptical about the sauce so we got it on the side. Trust me you WANT the white and red. Red sauce is really spicy but gets balanced out with the white sauce. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it messed up my stomach. Food taste so good though I don't even care! read more

This place is just okay. Not very good but not very bad. So many other good choices around this area that I wouldn't go there again. Everything just seems kind of sloppy and the food is not all that tasty. read more

When this place opened it was a bit better. Now the food is so greasy and almost all tastes the same. I sure would like to go to NYC just to try the original and see what all the hype is about ? read more

So when this place opened up lines were wrapped around the building, it was crazy packed! And why not? It's been pretty hyped up! It's a food truck that originated in nyc and has been infamous for their chicken and rice -- not just their chicken and rice but their white sauce -- I've been to the nyc one and I personally thought it was on the same level.. the difference ? You don't have to stand in the cold to wait to get food and you can sit down and eat it at a table and not on the side of the street.. and the prices in Georgia were higher than in nyc -- which I don't understand since it's nyc yet cheaper there plus you get all the sauces you want-- so since it's opening the lines have simmered down-- you can be in and out in minutes.. Im not sure why there are bad reviews here/ .. you get only two things a wrap or a platter with Chicken and beef with rice.. I do think it's pretty weird and a money making scheme to charge for anything extra (extra sauce or toppings are $0.50 ) I guess that's fine for the sauce, if you want it to go, but if I'm getting a platter and drizzling it on, I should be able to tell them I want more white sauce and not be charged for it.. I have to agree the lettuce was wilted, the rice was dry-- maybe adding more sauce will help you guys overcome the dry rice?!? But there has to be a way to keep ur lettuce a bit more fresh no? Overall, the food is pretty good and id come here again.. I'm glad to have the option to eat halal guys in Atlanta.. read more

My wife and I decided to try halal guys because of all the hype. Got to the store and I was disappointed from the menu selection. You can pick from sandwich or platter. They have chicken, beef or falafel. That's the menu for ya. So I went with the combo platter which includes chicken, beef, rice and salad. The beef taste like hotdogs the chicken was bland, rice taste funny and the salad was fresh. The best thing on the plate believe it or not was the hot sauce. I feel that it was over priced. It's like $7.50 for the platter, should be $5 max. I don't think I'll be coming back. I don't see what's the hype about. Plenty of better options close by. read more

Chicken was blend and taste less. Gyro bread was not fresh. I have eaten halal guys in San Francis and they have maintained the true taste of halal guys. This branch is not good read more

I went in today and let me say that the man behind the counter was very welcoming. I had no idea what it was they sold and he took the time to explain and tell me what I could get on my beef gyro platter. Phenomenal food and nice people. Will come back again. :) read more

You just can't beat this place for a quick, easy, affordable meal. The combo plate - chicken and gyro meat with salad and rice, though I usually just get the salad. They have a few sides like fries, hummus and falafel. They have some sammiches. Baklava for dessert. A lot of food for the price. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. A great find. read more

This was the first spot we ate at while visiting Atlanta. since it was just after 7pm and was close to the place we were staying at we decided to give this place a try. Im glad we did... i ordered the chicken sandwich while my husband ordered the combo platter. The chicken was flavorful tender and juicy and my husband said his 'gyro salad' was just as scrumptious. Be careful with their hot sauce... i like hot chili but this sauce had my tongue on fire! Their white sauce is pretty ok too. read more

Got the chicken & gyro platter. A nice balance of rice, vegetables and meat. The sauce is spicy, get it on the side. They also have a white ranch style sauce which I recommend to balance the spicy sauce read more

It was cool. If you've ever been to one of the street cars in NY you know what to expect. This is not a place I would go out my way for but if you are in the area and craving some good ole chicken and rice, it's worth the stop. read more

Don't waste your money. $12+ for a gyro with a drink. Everything that could possibly make the food taste better cost extra. Jalapenos instead of green peppers cost extra. Hot sauce that will be extra. I was afraid to ask what it would cost to sit down. Never again. read more

My order was a small combo (beef gyro/chicken) plate and a small falafel plate. Based on my personal taste, I didn't really enjoy it, but I can say that I most definitely prefer the combo over the falafel. No offense to Halal Guys because the service was great; it just wasn't my style and I wouldn't come again. I'm glad that I tried it though! read more

I am giving them less stars because we were disappointed that they did not tell us there were more toppings to put on. It was our first time there and we ordered the platter, which was tasty enough, but they only put lettuce and tomatoes, but there was a cornucopia of toppings on the side, covered mind you, and the server never asked if we wanted any of it. We only found out after regulars came in and were requesting all these additional toppings when we realized the lazy servers didn't hook us up. Because of that bad experience we won't patronize them again. read more

Used to go During my lunch break around 12-1 and the food was fresh and awesome. Randomly went around 4:30pm after work and the chicken was extremely dry and pita bread was hard as a rock. Place was empty during those times...do not go when it's empty read more

The food was okay. Nothing special, but good enough. I'd give it a 3.5. But the service is horrible, hence the 3 stars. The employees were disorganized and weren't friendly, and visibly argued with each other behind the counter. One of the newer employees was helping us - he was kind and patient, but got told off several times by the others for being too quiet or too slow. Not very professional of them... Other employees also cut in line to get themselves food for what I assume was their lunch break. They could've waited until customers were served, there were only 3 of us in line. It's a chipotle style set up, so it really shouldn't be that hard or slow to prepare orders. Can't imagine what it would be like in there if they had NY's long lines. Won't be back. read more

I ordered a platter last night through Door Dash- it was 7-8pm- but the meat I got was chopped into tiny, tiny pieces and they were so dried and over cooked- i threw it all away- even the rice tasted old and chewy- I'm very disappointed- I gave one star because I do like the white sauce and hot sauce- read more

okay, I'm positively sure everyone comes here for their platters now. they do offer actual gyro sandwiches too, but I didn't see a single person order it. so when it comes to the pricing on the platters, you can either go with -- $8 for a small OR $9 for a regular size. okay, $1 to upgrade to a "larger" size, sure why not. but the question is.. is it worth it?? can I work it; can I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it???? NOT AT ALL. $9 for for bland yellow rice, some measly chopped iceberg lettuce, sprinkle of tomato, scoop of meat, and some upgraded mayo.. called "white sauce". chipotle don't even be charging these outrage prices and they offer better tasting food than halal guys do. they definitely need to offer more toppings, up their flavor, and use less salt. geez, like seriously.. did someone knock a whole gallon of salt into the batch of beef I received?? on top of that, the assembly line was super spotty. the staff member towards the end did not offer us any toppings (unlike the guests in front of us) and completely forgot to add pita in our platter. this place is too overhyped. my verdict -- PASS! save yourself some time and money; and go to any other Mediterranean /middle eastern spot! read more

Really disappointed at this place. Food wasn't bad but definitely not worth the price. There's nothing special about this food at all. I do plan on coming back here. There are better food near by that are cheaper and fresher and more authentic. read more

Good food, but nothing special for Halal food. Gyro and chicken are good. Choose the white sauce, it's the best of the three options (white, BBQ, hot sauce). They don't give you so much food that you have leftovers or have a tummy ache. It's un-American to not overflow the plate, but maybe Buford Highway isn't America after all. I consider it foreign soil due to the authentic food options from around the world. read more
