Nova lox on a garlic bagel
Joy C.

Another bagel gem in NE Atlanta! Located in Downtown Chamblee, there is a small parking lot and plenty of free parking along the street. Bronx Bagel Buggy is a small establishment; they have seating and free wifi but you have to get there early. There was a consistent line of customers, and they were buzzing with online orders as well. Lots of bagels sold out quickly so if you're attached to a particular flavor, place your order online! The Nova lox sandwich was delicious. I wasn't in the mood for coffee so I had a bottle of fresh squeezed orange juice to go with it. The garlic bagel was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tasted delicious. They also sell many flavors of homemade cream cheese, as well as deli staples like half sour pickles. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'll be back!

Sausage, Egg, and Cheese with Scallion Cream Cheese on a Pumpernickel Everything Bagel.

We stopped by the Bronx Bagel Buggy this morning, and while some reviewers found it tight, confusing, and chaotic, I'd say those folks have clearly never set foot in a real NYC bagel shop. The buzz, the chatter, the quick pace; it's all part of the charm. The decor leans a bit gimmicky with everyone in fedoras, which honestly made me roll my eyes a bit. It's cute, but not really necessary when the food can speak for itself, and it does. The bagels are legit. Lightly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and they've got flavors you don't often see, like pumpernickel everything, which I hadn't had in years. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese on that very bagel with a bit of scallion cream cheese. The egg wasn't that spongy prefab kind, and the sausage was the real deal (you can see it in the photo, thick, flavorful, and cooked perfectly). Paired with a hot black coffee that was bold without being bitter, it was everything I needed to start my morning.

Bronx Bagel Buggy is an adorable spot to get some breakfast in Chamblee! I have been hearing about it for so long and was excited to get out there and try it. We went around 10AM on the Wednesday before the 4th of July and this place was packed! The would be my biggest con to this place as it is TINY! Like 3 2-top tables max and there is no room for sitting around inside. Once you're in there though they have a good menu! I opted for a classic bacon egg and cheese and got a bagel to go with scallion cream cheese. Overall, I enjoyed my bagels! My only complaint is that they are are defintely smaller than other local bagel joints BUT it still was delicious! If you're in the area and looking for a classic NY style bagel I think this is a great option!

New Yorkers would be pleased and they were as I saw several of them in there. A definite must try if you love a bagel! Bravo! No

Absolutely the best bagel I've ever had and the service is impeccable, busy and small but very quick and easy to get your food! One of the co owners Steven was there too and has exceptional custom service!!

You can find Bronx Bagel Buggy at 5494 Peachtree Rd Chamblee, GA 30341. It's in a row of buildings facing Peachtree Rd where Rust-n-Dust used to anchor on the corner (around the corner to the right and behind the row is Contrast Artisan Ales and around the left is Chamblee Tap and Market - both also worth visiting). Parking in this area is hit-or-miss - there's a lot of parking on the streets and in front of buildings but frankly there isn't enough so you may need to walk a bit (why I suggest you take a look at the nearby pubs nearby). I consider this one of those hidden gems you hear about but as the actual storefront is small and rather buried, need to make some effort to visit. These are classic New York style bagels, both boiled and baked so they have the perfect chew. I've now eaten there a handful of times and it's become my favorite bagel joint. The Reuben bagel sandwich is filling and delicious and any of the bagels are worthwhile if you want something lighter. Try the egg bagel if they have them for something unusual that you don't normally see in Atlanta. Service is terrific but more fast-casual or classic counter-service than something you'd find someplace fancier. Expect to find a line so better to get there earlier rather than later - also they can run out of your favorites - lots of carryout here. I'd suggest trying the online ordering option and just drop by for a pick-up.

Cute lil coffee and bagel spot in Chamblee. We got a cappuccino, iced coffee, and BLT sandwich on a Asiago jalapeño bagel. The bagel was really tasty and fresh! I would rate this place a 4/5

Best bagels in Atlanta! New York owners brought the recipe to Georgia! They've got lox, schmeres, latkes .... Delicious!

We ordered online at 9:15 am on Saturday, 2/22/25. Steven, one of the owners, was in and out of the kitchen dropping off online orders and he was so welcoming and friendly! We really appreciated it. He even went back to check on our order for us. The line wasn't as long that early. Not much seating inside, and a few tables outside. I always get a toasted everything bagel with raspberry jalapeño cream cheese. Always delicious and packed with cream cheese. Their bagels and cream cheese are just so good. I recommend ordering online to avoid the line.

This hidden gem is absolutely fantastic. The shop is beautifully reminiscent of the Bronx with a friendly staff and amazing smells as soon as you walk in. 10/10 Best bagel shop in Chamblee.

This place is always consistent--fresh bagels, generous portions, and a bustling atmosphere. It's definitely on the pricey side, but the quality holds up every time I visit. The coffee is pretty good too, and just like the bagels, it's reliably the same great taste.

Line out the door!

The Bronx Bagel Buggy does NOT disappoint! I initially found reviews for this place online and when arriving, the line was out the door! Even through there were a lot of people, the line moved quickly and the food came out even faster. I heard it's one of few places in the area to get a real New York style bagel and it was heavenly! I ended up ordering The Standard breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage. Food was hot and delicious! The egg was cooked to perfection and the bagel was incredible. To me, the true star was the staff! They are personable, helpful, and kind, enduring that everyone who walks through their doors feels at home and taken care of. Based on the stellar service alone, I will gladly be back but I'm looking forward to trying some more food options. Happy Eating!!

Asiago bagel with a honey siracha spread.
Andrea M.

Despite the not so great reviews, the hubs and I wanted to try this spot for ourselves. Yes, the shop is a bit small, but the food, price, and friendliness far out weighs everything else. Asiago bagel with a honey siracha spread: The bagel was super chewy! The asiago is a must try for its chewiness. Plus, the cheese. It must be the cheese. Lol. Did I mention I love cheese?! The siracha portion of the spread was super faint. The honey part was stronger and what comes through. Rosemary sea salt bagel with a lox spread: Oh man the salt on this bagel. It was a tad over done. This bagel wasn't as chewy, sadly. Was it because it was toasted slightly a little longer? There was no wow effect. The lox spread was super divine though. I learned that back last quarter, they had a true lox option. :( The spread did have lox pieces, but it's not quite the same. But I would definitely recommend this lox spread as it feels heartier. Smoke sausage roll: There was a slight smokiness to the sausage hence the name. The dough covering the sausage was tasty as well. It was a meaty sausage with a jerky ish texture. He hubs said it was delicious. I don't eat meat like that so it was okay imo. The hubs said this place is great with it being local. And he says it's so much better than Einstein's that he often gets at work. I agree. I just think the rosemary sea salt bagel put a damper on the wowing experience. It started out so then became meh and then okay.

Umm.. two bagels. Put them in a bag, hand them to me. Easy. But no. I waited at that window, watching the two employees making sandwiches, while I'm waiting for TWO AS-IS BAGELS. What?!? THEN, I see dude in the back cutting, what looks like the two flavors of the bagels I ordered AS IS, so I say "Sir, no! That's not how I want them or ordered them." To receive ZERO response. Again, listening skills are NOT A STRONG POINT HERE. Will not be back. Took WAY too long for two AS IS bagels that I could have actually grabbed with tongs myself from the open baskets, but not knowing if that was allowed, I didn't. Instead, it took near 10 minutes what could have taken 20 seconds. Just baffling. So, to answer the question "What could improve?" That would be, basic listening and comprehension skills would be a great start for employees who are taking food orders from paying consumers. Yeah, that could improve.

Everything was made fresh and served hot, and it really satisfied my morning bagel craving. The front-end staff who took my order and prepared my food were kind and polite, which made the experience even better. One thing that felt a bit off-putting, though, was the lack of seating at this location compared to the Sandy Springs location. It was surprising, especially since the space doesn't seem particularly small. I'm not sure why seating isn't available here, but it does take away from the option of staying and enjoying your meal in-house.

Maple breakfast sandwich - The sandwich itself had a good flavor to it. It felt like the bagel was a little harder than I thought it should be. So you know how it is when you bite into soft toppings and a hard bread, the bite is a little inconsistent. And that means that the content on the inside of the sandwich is sliding out because you really can't bite through the bread lol. Once I got past that, it was pretty good though. I don't know if the bread was toasted too long or whatever the case may be, but that's the only issue that I have. Albeit that's an important issue because if you don't do anything about bagels, your bagels should be good LOL. No big deal.

That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

My niece had the hash brown bread with ham and cheese. I definitely preferred the latter a bit more, mostly because it's rare to find potatoes served in this way. We took a variety of the mochi donuts home. They tasted a bit stale unfortunately. I'd definitely come back to try the croissants, cakes, and other offerings.
