We dined here for a work lunch, and the food came out pretty quick. I waiter was nice enough and had good menu suggestions. What a comeback again yes is it somewhere that I would recommend/suggest? Not really. The restaurant was very clean and was well decorated around the theme. Parking is also free so they get points for that.

Our reservation at Culinary Dropout was for 6:30 p.m. on a weekday, and wow--it was a challenge to find a parking space! It was clear this is a popular spot for the after-work crowd, with the restaurant buzzing when we arrived. We were seated on the patio, which turned out to be a great spot for people-watching and made for a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We started with drinks and the Pigs in a Blanket from the happy hour menu. The cocktails were unique and well-made, and the appetizer was a great way to kick off the meal. For dinner, we ordered the Asian Crunch Salad, the Shrimp & Avocado Louie, and the Prime Rib Sandwich. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and enjoyable, with each dish offering something a little different. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the lively atmosphere, good food, and enjoyable patio dining, it's definitely a place we'll be returning to.

Dropped in after work to get a bite to eat and our server was amazing. I've never been there before so she recommended some things and everything she recommended was delicious. We had the garlic toast with salmon dip. It was a nice mix of salty with a hint of sweet and garlic it didn't sound good, to me but I tired it and it was delicious. The salmon was good and the rigatoni was delicious. Just a hint of spice. Normally, I would pick the star of the dishes I had but they were all stars!! I will definitely be back.

I visited the restaurant for Easter brunch. We enjoyed the British influenced decor. The food was good and the service was outstanding!

What an absolute gem in Sandy Springs! After hearing rave reviews about the food, service, and atmosphere, I finally attended an event here--and it exceeded every expectation. The layout was incredibly organized and spacious; I loved how the food was beautifully presented both indoors and on the covered patio. The setup was perfect, featuring a casino area on one side, live music on the other, and a central bar that kept the energy flowing. The menu was exceptional. Highlights included the high-quality roasted salmon, the soft pretzels with provolone fondue, crispy Brussels sprouts, and the Asian crunch salad. And the fried chicken was Fabulous, a complete standout! Mississippi mud pie for dessert was to die for !!! Between the outstanding service and the vibrant ambiance, this is the perfect spot for a casual meal or a major milestone celebration. Highly recommended!!

My husband and I were staying overnight in the area and I decided on Culinary Dropout. We were greeted immediately after walking through the door and were seated. This restaurant is really nice and large and the ambiance on a Tuesday afternoon was great. We started with the marinated olives and they were good. My husband had Steak Frites and said everything was really good. I went with the waitress recommendation and got the Roasted Salmon. It was terrific!! I also ordered the Giddy Up Espresso Martini, which was a recommendation and it was good. We will definitely have to return whenever we're in the area again.

Located in Ashford Lane among a strong lineup of dining spots, Culinary Dropout is a British-style gastropub with great ambiance, a full bar, solid service, and really good food. It's also a great place to hang out with friends, especially with the plaza right outside offering plenty of food, dessert, and drink options. There's tons of outdoor seating, which makes it perfect for cooler weather and an easy date spot. Service was friendly, and while there was a bit of a wait for the main entrees, the charcuterie board held us over. We ordered the Caesar salad, feta tahini dip, steak frites, and spicy rigatoni. The dip was good but leaned a bit sweet for my taste. The Caesar salad was solid and straightforward. The steak frites was well-seasoned and nicely balanced with the arugula. The spicy rigatoni was creamy and rich, but I didn't get much heat and had to ask for extra chili powder to bring out any spice. Overall, a great spot and definitely worth a visit.

Hubby and I happened to be in the neighborhood and hungry today. Culinary Dropout popped up on Yelp, and the name definitely piqued our interest. We opted to sit on the patio to enjoy this beautiful cool day and were fortunate enough to have Amberlou assigned as our server. We started with the crusty bread & olive oil, which was AH-mazing! Hubby even commented on how it is better than most of the upscale Italian spots we've been to and I have to agree. We also got the pimento cheese, which was delicious but I did find it kind of odd that it wasn't paired with anything like crackers or bread, etc. (note to owners: please consider changing this). We had ordered the crusty bread, so we ate it with that but if we hadn't ordered the bread, I probably would have been disappointed to just have a small serving of the pimento cheese with nothing to put it on. Aside from that, however, everything was really top notch. I ordered the ham & egg grilled cheese, which came with the breakfast potatoes, but I also added a side of the house potato chips because I really wanted to try them and they did not disappoint. The sandwich was tasty and perfectly assembled. I normally don't like breakfast potatoes but these were good and crispy. I think the house potato chips with the fantastic onion dip that comes with it is probably my favorite thing on the menu, but I also loved the famous fried chicken that hubby ordered. My sandwich was solid too, but I think his chicken was better, so obviously I only finished half of my sandwich so that I could steal some of his chicken. LOL The portions of everything were very generous, so sharing was easy and we still had plenty left over to take home with us. Amberlou offered spectacular service! She had a great attitude, was highly attentive without being overbearing, and seemed to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them (I LOVE when my drinks are refilled before I have to ask, which is an underrated server supowerpower imo). We will definitely be back and I will go out of my way to sit in Amberlou's section because she helped to elevate our already wonderful experience even further. The menu options are somewhat limited, but I think this may be why the food is so good. Some restaurants stretch themselves too thin and offer a wide variety of choices for food that is just mediocre. Culinary Dropout offers a small variety of choices for food that is cooked to perfection. It is a little on the pricey side, but the experience lived up to the price point, so at least it was well worth the splurge. The location is not exactly convenient for us, but this place is worth going out of the way to come back to, so we are looking forward to another visit sometime soon.

    House salad + steak

Well, I wanted to love this place.. but the food fell short. Service with our large group was great. Drinks stayed full all night. However, food fell flat. Menu was literally a page plus 1/3 of another page. Booze was the other 2/3 of the page + an entire other page + a one page special drink menu. Apps were decent but my issue was with the entree - I ordered the house salad with steak. Steak was cooked how I wanted but the salad was gross. Didn't have half the things the menu said it would.. and was covered in a very bland dressing. All and all, I wouldn't recommend nor come back ‍

We enjoyed our dinner here tonight. It can be somewhat of a challenge to find parking but we found it., we made reservations. They have outdoor and indoor dining and we dined indoor. The outdoor dining was all reserved. Our server was Jonathan who was excellent. He is amazing at his job and deserves special mention and merit. We adored the soft pretzel dippers and provolone fondue. How could you go wrong with that combination? The Brussels were also a great and remarkably filling appetizer. I made the right choice with the Mongolian Beef Short Rib. Though it can come off as a little salty, the beef is so tender. They accommodated by request of frying my egg hard instead of a soft-boiled option. This dish was trike filling. They have a stellar version of the Old-Fashioned that accompanied my meal well. It was sweet, spicy, and so smooth. Great spot! It's a new fave. Bravo!

What a surprise! Lots of free parking and when you walk up to the entrance it's a beautiful sight of greenery and beautiful fairy lights. The server (I wish I had her name) was really sweet and attentive. The food came out fast and was delicious. No complaints at all. It was not busy when we went so we were able to sit and just chat without pressure to move quickly. The ambiance is dark and relaxing but also kinda sexy I'll definitely visit here again

    Expresso Giddy Up Espresso Martini
    Katura B.

Visited Culinary Dropout with friends on a Sunday afternoon! The patio was the place to be, perfect weather & a very nice breeze! We were greeted by our server Roy who was very very pleasant! I ordered the Expresso Martini, and the Banana bread french toast. Since it came by itself, I added an egg & bacon. (Sidebar, $3 for one egg is pretty steep, but I guess lol). We also ordered the Crispy rice for the table. Everything was very good, I do wish the french toast slices were bigger, the cuts were so small, but savory & delicious! So more would've been outstanding and possibly the meal being included with sides would've be nice too. The crispy rice app & expresso martini were delicious as well! Overall, beautiful place, great food, good drinks, I'd definitely revisit to try other options!

At first there was a mix up with who was serving us do we got explained the drink menu twice. After our appetizer, we waited about 30-40 minutes for the rest of our items which took longer than we thought. They did give us some house made popcorn to keep us busy. Jahjoy pork belly: Tasty & tendor. I loved the papaya salad which left a refreshing contrast. A bit too saucy for me. Flavors were strong. Squid ink bucatini: our favorite! Must get dish - bucatini is perfectly al dente & the spicy sauce was very flavorful. Jumbo shrimp was delicious, and the anchovy on top left a nice strong flavor. Red snapper: This has some Vietnamese influences with the sauce. It was a lighter dish which was just OK for me, I would have liked the fish to have a crispier skin. Not much flavor besides the sauce which is inspired by canh chua. Wagyu flank steak: cooked to perfection and flavored well, loved the celery puree which was much tastier than we expected celery to be. Dessert was mint chocolate cake which was very tasty. I wish the cake was softer and meltier in the center but it was still good. Malt gelato was delicious. Could def taste the mintiness. Creme pat along the edges was a nice add to the cake with cacao nibs and popcorn for a textural contrast. I enjoyed it!! Overall we had a great meal and could tell the ingredients were very fresh. The presentation for all the dishes was beautiful!! We can tell the chef puts care in his food :) Appreciated the personal touch - they gave a handwritten card to my husband for his birthday!

Food: 5/5 We decided to try a leisurely lunch. The menu is not large, but it has enough variety to be interesting. Everything we tried was delicious. The smoked salmon appetizer portion was large, but the best part was the great flavor. I can see why this choice has been on the menu for years. The Vidalia onion soup will be a surprise for the non-Georgians who expect it to be similar to a savory beef broth like French onion soup. Georgia's onions from the Vidalia area are sweet and tasty enough to carry the soup without the help of a meat broth and the green pesto sauce offers a nice additional touch. The salmon on fresh salad was done perfectly. The panka-crusted cod with mashed potatoes and spinach was outstanding. Both were seasoned so lightly that the true flavors shone through. The portions were generous enough that dessert at the time would have been too much, but others can do as we did and take home one of the dessert choices. Next time we plan to try their sandwiches which looked yummy at other tables. Service : 5/5 Service was excellent from the pleasant greeting, through the entire meal. Even though the restaurant is convenient to dine in an Atlanta suburb, the roads to the restaurant wind and meander for a short distance through one of the prettiest neighborhoods, with a canopy of large old trees, with lovely fences, hedges, and gates lining the road. There is courteous valet parking at the front door. The restaurant is not inexpensive but it is well worth the prices paid, in our opinion.

They split our appetizers into two plates which made it easier for my partner and I to eat. The beet salad goes really well with the crispy cracker they offer with their bread!

The vibe is cozy but still upscale -- like a mountain lodge right in the middle of the city. Perfect if you're coming from shopping around Perimeter or just want a laid-back spot with really good food. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful, but what really stood out was how welcoming the atmosphere is. It's one of those rare places where you can bring friends, kids, or even go for a casual date and it still feels like a great experience. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. You can tell the staff actually cares about making sure guests enjoy themselves because I have two 1yr olds with me and still got to enjoy adult life. If you're in the Perimeter area Eli the waiter and Colby hooked a mom up and looking for a place that has great food, good energy, and a menu with tons of options, this spot is definitely worth trying. Everything was really good. I did the All American Burger with fries and a soda. Service was fast and responsive. She offered to get me a to go cup for my drink without being asked. Atmosphere was great. I love that you can see into the kitchen ensuring everything is clean and proper. The only negative was the price. I thought I read $12.95 on the menu. When the bill came it was $17.95. Maybe I saw sandwich only or just mis read it. Ad a drink, tax, and a tip and my lunch was nearly $28. I can't do that every day. But it was nice as a treat.

It's a classy and warmly-lit atmosphere with cushy, lush leather booths. Even though I'm a foodie to the core, my absolute favorite about the experience had to do with the drinks. I got a dirty martini (balanced, savory, and smooth) and I love the way they pour your martini at the table and allow you to have the excess from the shaker. The good times were definitely rolling from there! As far as food goes, I also loved the stuffed mushroom appetizer and my salad. The variety of salad accompaniments were awesome, and I wish more places offered grilled scallops with your salad. It was quite delicious and now I'm spoiled. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

We decorated and fairly quiet for a large restaurant, the bar area is beautiful. The service could be a little faster, as we waited for our first drinks, and then the food took a little longer than usual, not too bad, but enough to notice.
