Halal Guys is a late-night gem! Their chicken, gyros, and falafel platters are a great options, satisfying cravings even in the wee hours. The fact that they're open until 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays is a game-changer. I like to order a platter. It comes with your choice of protein, rice, lettuce tomatoes and then you can add onion, green peppers, jalapeños, white sauce and hot sauce. Each bite is a burst of flavor, making it the perfect spot for a tasty, late-night feast. Try the hot sauce with caution! A must-try for those looking for a delicious and convenient dining option during late hours! It's a better option than McDonalds and Taco Bell when you're still hungry but don't want fast food.

Soooo I really wanted some New York style street Mediterranean food and I search and search and my goodness I found this spot! I wasn't too sure at first since they don't have lamb but I'm so glad I went! It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Very good portions and the good as soooooo good! I didn't take pictures, it was my first bite of the day and I was ready lol. Will back very soon! Easy parking. They don't have outdoor seating but the inside has plenty of seating in the inside. The service was great, it's line service like Chipotle. Definitely go!

Don't forget to use the 10% off for the Yelp check in deal! The rating for this place declined gradually as the newness and early reviews have settled. The hubs and I went on this snowy day in Georgia and were the only dine-in customers (yay!). Most either did the to-go option or delivery. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality. The portion size of the hubs' spicy chicken platter was pretty generous. My beef gyro sandwich was pretty plain Jane in size and appearance. The quality of the beef gyro was on point. The pita wrap was really fluffy and warm. The beef was a semi-thick cut that was flavorful and moist. Though the filling only had lettuce, tomatoes, and the white sauce (generously added), it tasted superb. The hubs' pick of the spicy chicken platter in a regular came with more than expected quantities. I really liked their rice as it had a nice color pop and was tasty. The spicy chicken wasn't that spicy, but in conjunction with the red spicy sauce, there's a slight kick in flavor. He added green peppers and olives in addition to the existing side of lettuce and pita bread. BTW, the regular will def fill you up.

Visited other locations, this one has to be hands down the dirtiest location. The area in front of the store smells like trash. The staff just seemed bothered. Placed my order and watched the employee continue what they were doing refilling the onions and such. Literally no one else in the store. Meaning I should be the priority, take care of the customer. Then applying my coupon from the app was also a problem. Let's chalk it up to a language barrier. But that again did not help the situation. Overall it was a little frustrating and not worth the trip.

This place has good and quick food if you're in the mood for it. All the food that I've tasted has been pretty good. I have tried the chicken and the chicken shawarma, and they were really good. I tried the beef, it was okay. It could have used a little bit of flavor but it was still very good and tender. They load you up with all the toppings. It's basically falling out of the rap, which is good. I suggest getting a fork because you're going to have to pick the rest up after it falls out of the wrap! It can't get a little bit messy but that's just the cost of doing business! Everybody seems to greet you when you walk in the door and everybody's very polite and friendly.

We came here to eat dinner last week on Tuesday night at about 7:40 pm. The Halal Guys is on the corner at the intersection of Buford Hwy and Chamblee Tucker Rd in Chamblee. The free parking lot provides ample spaces for customers. The menu is pretty simple and straightforward; entrees are sold as platters (bowls in small or regular sizes) or sandwiches (one size). Platters come with rice, lettuce, tomato and pita. Sandwiches come with lettuce, tomato and pita. Entree protein choices include beef gyro, chicken, beef and chicken combo or falafel. Choice of veggie toppings include green peppers, onions, jalapeños and olives. Sauce choices include white, hot and tahini. Optional sides include hummus, fries, pita chips, falafel and baba ghanoush. Optional desserts include cookies, baklava and baklava cheesecake. Optional beverages include bottled or fountain drinks. We walked in, and about 6 customers were eating at various tables, taking up about half of the tables. Tall stools provide additional seating at an L-shaped counter that also doubles as a barrier between the queue and the dining area. While the employees were scooping up food for a couple ahead of us, we made our decisions from the menu. The employees created our platters as we told them what ingredients we wanted. We both got the beef and chicken combo as a platter (which really is in a bowl format), with the rice, lettuce, tomato, pita and white sauce (mayo?). I added olives to my platter, and R added jalapeños. R checked in on Yelp, and there was a 10% off discount offered, so he showed the employee, who just disregarded it. R looked at his receipt after he paid and the discount wasn't applied. After talking to the manager, the manager resolved this by giving me a free fountain drink, and writing out and signing a piece of paper that he gave to R stating that we could get 10% off the next time we each made purchases. Although the beef was good, I really liked the flavor of the grilled chicken, so I highly suggest ordering the chicken in a platter. The regular size is a pretty good portion of food, so, if you're piggies like us, or if want leftovers, get the regular size platter. Btw, we ate everything because we were extremely hungry, plus everything was delicious together. The grilled chicken and the marinated olives were the highlight for me, and the next time I will have them put some of the hot sauce on it, since I like food with a kick in it.

Regular combo $12.50

It was late on a Saturday and I was tired of the same old places. Growing up in NY I've eaten at the original carts on 6th ave a million times. The food here was very good. What was impressive is they were still making fresh batches of food at 11:30p.m. They are open until 1am on Friday and Saturdays. You aren't being served stuff that was cooked earlier and just sitting in the hot bins for hours. But beyond the how good the food was the lady that helped me. She was extremely kind and was smiling and the whole time. Her attitude made really brightened my night.

Combo Plate. Generous serving but no punch! Spicy sauce is delicious though, and very HOT

After getting my haircut in the city, I decided to head up Buford Hwy and try a restaurant I always pass, Halal Guys. Upon entry, the restaurant seems quite trendy, and clean. There was a foul odor of meat or chicken that I immediately smelled. It definitely was something that's related to protein. Nonetheless I wanted to enjoy my meal on the spacious balcony outside, so I began my order. I ordered a combo plate with chicken/beef, rice, salad, and a side order of Falafels. The staff was extremely kind! Fast, smiles, and even asked how my food was after I ate and exited the store. The food was tasty, but not enough to make me come back. It was very blah. Literally Chipotle style for a mideast cuisine. Generally, when I have food from this region of the world, It's very tasty and fresh. The food didn't taste as fresh as it could be and the flavors are lacking. The Falafel wasn't fresh at all. It honestly was a waste of $2. Now that I've tried the place I can check it off my list, but there's nothing special that would make me return.

I heard a lot about this place from Adam Saleh. I had a platter with chicken and lamb, lettuce, tomatoes and white sauce only. They both tasted pretty good and everyone was pretty friendly. It was good but not sensational to where I'm craving it and want to go back so bad.

Yesterday I was craving halal cart food so bad that I considered making the twelve hour drive . Am I compulsive, possibly ‍. Anyway, I found this place instead and I'm satisfied....... For now . Honestly it was great! I love that I can get full and STILL have sooooo much food left over to eat for later. My pan is actually in the oven right now. The service was great! I love, love, looooove when a place has great customer service. All smiles from everyone and delicious food to top it off. I also tried the baklava for the first time. It tastes like honey bread or a Krispy Kreme donut. There's also plenty of seating if you'd like to dine inside or even outside. Overall, this place is wonderful and it curved my craving for New York and Halal Carts. I still want to make that drive, but I can manage the wait now . I had the chicken and beef platter and I also tried the new savory beef platter. They were BOTH so dang good. So many wonderful flavors having a party on my taste buds. I'll be coming back real soon.

The second I saw it, I didn't care about the price -- I knew I wanted it, so I planned us a date night. When we arrived, there was a birthday party going on, and I asked the maître d' if they were limiting seating because of the event. He didn't quite understand me, so my fiancée just asked for a table for two, and we were seated quickly. The setup was nice, although I'm personally not a fan of pre-set plates and glasses on tables (you never know how long they've been sitting there). Still, our server was fantastic -- attentive, helpful, and made the night smooth. We came for the famous Piraye Kebab Tray. At first, we were looking at the $165 option (Chef Tray + 1 Meze Board + Shepherd Salad + 4 Orders of Piraye Kebab with rice, all baked inside the dough). When we mentioned the price, our server kindly told us about the smaller 2-order option for $85 -- perfect! And let me tell you, Lord above, when I say I would do some things to eat this food again... words cannot describe how incredible it was. It has been three days since, and I'm still thinking about it. I even posted it on my stories, and over 10 people have messaged me asking about it. Chef Tray: Overflowing with juicy, flavorful meat, perfectly seasoned rice with chickpeas (I swear it was made with veal stock), and that roasted pepper and cheese-stuffed dough on top -- divine. Meze Board: The hummus was creamy and rich, paired perfectly with fresh pita. Shepherd Salad: Fresh, crisp, and balanced. My only small regret was that our server misunderstood when we asked for the dough crust to-go -- I realized the next day it wasn't packed up. Honestly though, I couldn't even be upset, because the food was just that good. For drinks and dessert: Turkish Coffee - small but strong, beautifully presented with a piece of Turkish delight on the side that was everything I had ever imagined a Turkish sweet to be: chewy, fragrant, and delicately sweet. Künefe - a dream come true! A warm, crunchy pastry with gooey melted cheese inside, topped with sweet syrup and pistachios. It was rich, nutty, and sweet without being overwhelming -- the perfect ending. Turkish Martini - decent, but not nearly as memorable as the food. All together, including tip, it was about $140. For the amount and quality of food, the attentive service, and the one-of-a-kind experience, it was absolutely worth every single cent. Piraye Kitchen isn't just dinner -- it's an experience. This is a must-try-before-you-die type of place. Oh, and happy birthday, Amy!

The interior is very mom and pop with soft lighting and old ceiling tiles but well maintained with an obvious attention to detail and care. There is limited seating inside; you've got long padded benches set in the walls and small tables. They seem ideal for parties of 4 or take-out. You can squeeze maybe one bigger party inside if you really want. I snagged a lamb sandwich on recommendation; it comed your choice of a chopped salad, cup of soup, or rice. I ended up going with the soup of the day which is a curry chickpea. The lamb sandwich was a definite winner. There's a lot of care and that same attention to detail to constructing it. There was a 15ish minute wait but perfectly acceptable since it all came out fresh. The lamb slices were super juicy and flavorful and the sauce added that extra spicy but not too spicy kick that went well with the softness of the pita and the crunch of the fresh lettuce. The soup was piping hot so I had to wait a few minutes to let it cool but flavorful and smooth. I'd gotten it as a potential dip but the sandwich did'nt need it so I'd probably go with the chopped salad next time. Overall, Cafe Sababa does a lot of what I enjoy in Mediterranean. I'd definitely stop in again and try out more items on their menu if I was in the area. A very good first impression.

They give you a lot of fries because it feels like it's an entree type order. So even if you only got fries, you'd probably be good to go. They're top very well, and they have plenty of sauce. If you need more you can always ask for maybe some on the side. Shawarma egg roll - The egg rolls are really good. I kind of feel like I wish there were more of them LOL. I have a friend who is Lebanese and I know what it feels like to have homemade hummus, so I'm really skeptical on that because I know what hummus should taste like LOL. But this was good. Actually I threw some hummus on the fries and it was all good. If you want quick food that actually tastes good, this is a good option. They're not a whole lot of Mediterranean restaurants in the Atlanta area that are stellar, and that is still true, but this one's pretty decent. If you want to stop off and try something that is good.
