Limit one customer in the store. Drink features. Decisions!
    Mary T.

I have been visiting Zeev's Nutrition House roughly twice a week to get my beverage fix. A couple of stores down from it is World Tea House. For the longest time, I have eyed dropping by because the maximum occupancy of a single customer in this store has intrigued me. How tiny is it, really? Yesterday, I got to Zeev's early for my drink pickup. I decided to check World Tea House out. It's located at New World Plaza. It makes sense that the worlds collide here... haha! I was indeed the only customer in the store. You basically walk into the front quarter of the store. A woman first greeted me in Mandarin until I spoke in English. Before entering the store, I had eyed the Monet garden fruit tea. This past summer, I became a fan of teas with chunks of fruit in them. I ordered it with less ice and no sugar, which is my usual. She came over to the table that I was behind to enter how much my drink was ($9.03) in the payment machine and have me tap my debit card to pay. It's fairly pricey for such a drink. Even though I was in the store for a brief period, it felt cozy. I can imagine how great this place would be when it's fully open. The books on shelves, and wood panels and accents, even on the ceiling, felt comfortable and inviting. I can see myself spending some quiet time reading a book or doing work here to change things up. Perhaps I can experience it for myself when this tea store opens up. You do get the occasional person who either can't read signs or is too impatient to wait. A woman walked in. She spoke in Mandarin to the female staff member. She was picking up two drinks. Oddly, her ignoring the sign didn't bother me. I actually feel that the one-person-inside-store rule is more strict than it should be. I moved over to the far right of the table. She paid to the far left of the table. Six feet apart. Easily. I still felt safe. I like the sign. It's totally out of an abundance of caution. After that customer had left, my drink was ready. The woman asked if I needed a bag. I declined. She handed me a straw and my drink. I thanked her and headed to my car. Outside, there was a couple waiting to go inside. The woman held the door open for me. I thanked her. I like when folks follow signs and are considerate. So refreshing! I didn't have my drink until after I had run my errands. I had it with my dinner. My monet drink was refreshing. It had orange, lemon, lime, and strawberry slices. I got a slice of each of them, which seemed a bit on the cheap side. However, I am a watermelon fan that the chunks and slabs of them dominated my cup. It works for me, but it may disappoint others who want either an equal representation of flavours, or want more of the other slices than watermelon. You can sign up for rewards here. You enter your phone number on the tablet to bring up your reward details. I'm glad that I finally got to drop by. Staff are friendly. I enjoyed my drink. It's more expensive than I had anticipated, but it's good when you want to treat yourself to fresh fruit in tea. (393)

Look at how huge the Picasso milk tea with everything is.

. First time checking out @worldteahouse_toronto . It's nicely decorated with a cozy feeling! They also have a wide selection of drinks. I have tried 2 drinks: Kandinsky mango smoothie in composition 6 ($6.85): mango is always my go to fruit drink. It comes with sago topping. As the fresh mango was sweet enough, no sugar was just perfect. This drink was super refreshing, mango lover must try! Picasso milk tea with everything ($7.5): tasty milk tea comes with 5 toppings such as tapioca, pudding, red bean, oat and coconut jelly. The regular and only size is super huge! Totally worth it for the price!! I had it with no sugar and totally enjoyed it!! Would love to try their real fruit collection and Banksy Ovaltine milk tea next time. 3608 Victoria Park Ave., North York (Victoria Park/North of Finch) Thank you @Worldteahouse_toronto for the lovely drinks!! Have you had your first tea of the year yet? My first bubble tea drinks of the year are Watermelon & Coconut and Mango Glacier from World Tea House. What is yours? This spot opened up this month at North York and they're serving up drinks (in 1L bottles or bigger) named after artists all around the world - such a unique concept.   ----- The Breakdown: Drinks: Watermelon & Coconut | $6.99 |9.5/10 I got this with 50% sugar and it wasn't too sweet. Melon and coconut make for an amazing combination. The drink was not too sweet and definitely refreshing. The melon was fresh and crunchy too. Andrew Whiles Mango Glacier | $6.99 | 9/10 The salt crema on top really helped balance out the sweetness of the mango. Unfortunately, the sugar is set and can't be changed so I couldn't control the sweetness level but it's definitely a delicious drink that I'd buy again. Interior: 8/10 Due to restrictions and pandemic, we couldn't stick around in the shop and many parts of the shop were closed off. You take your order and wait outside. Wait time is ideally 5-6 mins. The shop has a homey feeling to it. I cant wait to visit again when things are better. Hope you're all doing well and keeping safe. Let's do our best to support small and local business especially during these times. Follow @debeats_ for more bubble tea spots in Toronto/North York!

The drinks are definitely unique here, both in terms of their names and the seemingly limitless flavour combinations. I came by on a Saturday afternoon with a friend, where I had the Watermelon Coconut Tea (50% sugar) while they had the Monet Garden Fruit Tea (50% sugar, less ice). The watermelon coconut tea came with a generous portion of watermelon pieces, while the tea was very refreshing. I would have preferred more of the coconut taste to combine with the watermelon flavour, but it was a nice combination regardless. Try to order ahead if you can - we ordered in store and were asked to come back in 15 mins. The prices might be a bit higher here but look at the size of those cups!

World Tea House goes all out with their 1L size bubble tea cups! They offer a wide range of unique drinks but what stood out to me the most were the names of the drinks. Each of their drinks are named after artists all around the world - such a special concept. Picasso Milk Tea with Everything First, the size omg need I say more? Next, the variety of toppings: tapioca, red bean, pudding, and oat. I absolutely love all the different textures they add to the drink, from the smooth pudding to the chewy tapioca! Your classic milk tea on a whole other level! Andrew Wiles Mango Glacier Your typical mango slush but as a work of art. This drink is super refreshing and would be so perfect in the hot weather, after a few sips in the -10° weather, I got a brain freeze.

Best fruit tea in GTA. This has always been our go to fruit tea place. They were previously named World Tea House (世界茶饮), but now The Green Isle (青屿治茶)。

Rose milk tea with (Sakura?) tapioca

The service is good. The staff were friendly and explained the different menu items to me. The menu has a variety of drinks to choose from and are much more unique than your run of the mill bubble tea stores. They have drinks that come with fresh fruit which looked really yummy. Based on the rest of the positive reviews, I think I just had a poor experience with my drink. I got the rose milk tea with sakura tapioca. Its not rose flavouring, but rather a tea bag which is steeped in milk. Since the milk is cold, the tea releases a very limited amount of flavour so my drink basically tasted like milk with tapioca.

Very cute , cozy and comfortable bubble tea cafe with friendly customer service! At the back theres a lot of "artists" who come & paint or do work, chill, play cards etc. like that they have the cheese foam option.

Pros: Well made tea Good portion size Cons: Naming of some items is confusing If you're one of the few brave souls who take part in the weekly rat race that is the line up for Crown Prince for dim sum, then you might have spotted this little hidden gem in the same plaza. World Tea House is a nice little place to grab a tea. You'll have to ask a ton of questions whenever you want to try something new though. When I first walked into World Tea House, I saw 3 little tables and thought that was the total amount of seating. On my way out though, I noticed that there's a whole larger back room to the place with extra tables. There were also some art displays in the back. I've been told that the place was opened up by a former OCAD graduate so you might see some different pieces of art here and there when you come in. One look at the menu here and you might be scratching your head. They have given some of their items quirky names. Both the English and Chinese names bear the same quirk. The only problem is that there's no description at all on what's actually in the drink. You are literally taking a shot in the dark unless you specifically ask what's in each drink. There should be a short description of ingredients at the very least for at each drink if you choose to go this route with your naming. On to the tea. I believe they only have one size here but it's a very good portion at a reasonable price. My milk tea was pretty good. My wife said it's a little stronger tea wise than other milk teas in the city. My wife has the Li Bai Imperial Green Tea. It was more fruity than she expected because there was no mention in the name because of the quirky name issue. Judging solely on taste though, it was pretty good as well. The decor of this place makes it feel very homey. I feel like you can just spend a whole afternoon here and not really know it. The space in the back can double as a study hall. It can get a little loud in the front with the TV and appliances like blenders being turn on. The back area is definitely the better choice if you want a quieter experience. All in all, a nice little hidden gem if you're a fan of tea. I'm hoping they add a little more description in their menu in the future. Beyond that, World Tea House is a solid little place to grab a drink.

This cute little store is a nice refreshing way to drink bubble tea. The drinks are fairly innovative and the tea is delicious. There is only one size available for the drinks, but you can still customize sweetness and ice. The shop has a nice, cozy vibe with tons of books and artwork for you to check out and also has a nice little treasure chest of candies near cash to satisfy your sweet tooth if your drink wasn't enough. The only reason why this place didn't get 5 stars is that it takes a bit longer than other bubble tea places to get your drink and there's no way to know what kind of drink you're getting as the drink names are a bit abstract but are easily deciphered if you ask. It's up to you: you can take time to ask or take a gamble and order - it's like bubble tea roulette!

My favourite teashop in GTA! There are many fruity options and I have tried a few before, loved each of it! Personal favourite has to be the kiwi drink, so good so refreshing!

Small bubbletea shop that also serves pastries and Filipino meals…read more Their standout offering, of course, is the bubbletea. The tea is loose-leaf, so is elevated from the typical bubbletea. But it's the tapioca that really makes the drink shine with how fresh and bouncy they are. For a tea shop, this place also has really good food. Tried the scones and they were super buttery, very flavourful, and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like all great scones. We also got some Filipino meals - the lechon kawali and lumpia super crispy, the bangsilog had a good portion size for the price, and the halo-halo was refreshing. Place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a couple of small tables to sit 4. Service is friendly. Tea offerings are extensive. Worth a drop-by.

Walking in, there's a great amount of cakes, cookies, and drinks. Cookies: The matcha white chocolate cookie was freshly made. Quite soft and delicious. Reasonably sized cookie. Yema cake: It was my first time having the Yema cake so I was looking forward to try it. I got the ube flavour and a soft chiffon cake texture. It wasn't too sweet and was perfect for a nice small dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was good. It's too bad there's limited seating as it would be great to dine-in. I definitely want to come back to try out their drinks!
