    3Q TP Tea

Possibly the best $10 bubble tea in Toronto 3Q TP Tea best seller Worth every penny!!! The coffee jelly is amazing

Ordered the lemon premium jasmine tea with aloe. The tea was strong! If you are not the best with caffeine like me, you will stay up late drinking this. I ordered with less sugar for my drink and it wasn't too sweet. My friends ordered the original milk tea which was also strong. The service was really quick and friendly at this location. The cashier gave us recommendations as it was our first visit and we weren't too sure what to order. Wouldn't mind visiting again for high quality bubble tea! Note there is no seating here - it's a takeout spot.

I finally got the chance to try TP Tea. I got the pink salt cheese crema mulberry tea. This was my second time having a cheese crema drink and I quite like it. There's a bit of saltiness that goes so well with the rest of the drink. The drink was just the right level of sweetness and I was surprised to find actual mulberries at the bottom of the drink. Parking at Commerce Gate pre-pandemic was an issue but these days there's less cars and more free parking spots.

My new favourite bubble tea place! To me the actual tea base is very important and I don't care too much for the tapioca or other toppings. I really like the Tie Kwan Yin tea and also the Mulberry tea. I find their teas are good quality and they don't use a lot of artificial flavours and powders which is nice. They are a bit pricier than other places though but the marginal difference is worth it for me.

    Mulberry tea with QQ noodles
    Amy W.

My weekend afternoon routine is roaming by searching for new bubble tea places. The mulberry tea caught my attention. I have no idea how the fruit taste like, if I ever heard about a mulberry was probably the brand of handbags. To be honest, I am like one of those picky five years old who hates 90% of the fruits out there. Anyways, I don't like anything sour, so I asked the staff if the mulberry tea tasted sour. They said no. I ordered the mulberry tea, normal sugar, less ice with the QQ noodles. To my surprise it was tasty, very refreshing, the QQ noodles tasted very different and unique. Something different from tapioca as you sip through it from the straw. Will definitely come back again!

TP Milk Tea with custom add on of sago and they use their TieGuanYie tea for this option. Milk is a creamer type just fyi.

When you have name like Taiwan Professional Tea - to me - that's utmost confidence in your products and that's saying something. In a never ending boba quest to try every milk tea option out there in the galaxy, my partner and I have always aimed to target all the local places and in this case local to the Toronto area. We try to avoid the chains and places we can find where we are from. (NYC) Location: They area a small store front in the Commerce Gate Plaza which is filled with other delicious Asian restaurants and eats. Similar to most other milk tea places, it's an order and take-to-go type of place. Drinks: First off, I want to say, their main tea options has some nice bold flavors and was a nice change from my typical roasted tea drinks I normally would order. I really liked how they had an array of toppings which included the classic QQ noodle jelly, pineapple coco jelly as well as a personal favorite of mine - SAGO! : ) Some boba tea specialize in one style of milk tea, but I am happy to say, TP Tea offers the classic milk tea options, flavored tea options and the popular cheese foam style drinks and in their case, it's a 'Pink Salt Crema Cheese' drinks. Their drink prices vary from $5.50 to 7.50 from what I saw but in my opinion, it was worth every penny. My partner got the 3Q TP Milk Tea which is the classic black tea and included coffee jelly, pearls and the QQ noodles. I was intrigued and tried the TP Milk tea which used the TieGuanYie Tea they offer and I went with a custom topping of Sago of course! The tea favors was bold and nothing off putting and I really could have gone back for a 2nd cup that day but I held off. Summary: Great Milk Tea joint for anyone in the area. For the NY travelers, can't get this in NY so definitely give it a try. You can control the sugar% and the ice% like most places and their milk tea uses a creamer while the latte's you can do alternative milk options if they have it in stock I believe. Anyhow, can't go wrong with this place!

I have been a huge fan of TP Tea since visiting their locations in Asia and I am so so happy that they have finally opened a store here in Toronto! They recently opened (soft opening at the moment) and they were planning on having a grand opening event March 21/22 with free drinks however their plans changed due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, which is understandable. Their menu is slightly different to the ones in Asia but maybe they will expand it later on? I do miss my black tea with soy milk. They have some taste testers and the staff were very friendly. I think they were preparing for something but the shop was a bit overcrowded with their staff members. They were a bit borderline too friendly in trying to recommend their drinks and asking us what our preferences were. But friendliness is always better than standoffish and snobby staff! I ordered the A1: 3Q TP Milk Tea which is made with their tieguanyin tea and includes three different toppings (QQ Noodle, coffee jelly, and pearls). In Asia some of their stores only offer small pearls so I am so glad they have the big normal ones here!! Can't lie that I like the big balls ha! I am in LOVE with the QQ noodles! They are super chewy and almost 3-4 inches in length! It adds a very interesting texture and element to the drink. Coffee jelly is pretty standard here and has a strong coffee flavour and the pearls are a good consistency and not overcooked/mushy. The tea base itself has a rich and robust flavour. If you are a fan of oolong teas/tieguanyins, this would be right up your alley! The other drink we ordered was another recommended one and it was B2: the passion fruit green tea with aloe and agar. The aloe came in cube pieces and the agar in more of a pearl-like shape. I really like the texture of the agar. It is less chewy than tapioca. This drink is very refreshing and has bursts of flavour. The passionfruit did overpower the green tea flavour a bit but there are still subtle hints of green tea unlike a lot of the other bubble tea shops. Overall, I would highly recommend TP Tea and hopefully I can try all their other drinks soon! I have my eyes on the mulberry tea ones next!

3Q TP Milk Tea Mango Pomelo Sago with Tea Jelly Passion Fruit Green Tea with Aloe and Agar
    Kelly C.

3Q TP Milk Tea: QQ noodles, coffee jelly, pearl. This drink consisted of three toppings which created a very fun and unique texture. I lovedd the coffee jelly and how tea was quite fragrant! 9/10 Mango Pomelo Sago with Tea Jelly: sago, tea jelly. This one was my absolute fav of the three!!! If you love the mango sago dessert, you will certainly love this drink; it's literally the dessert as a drink it is soo refreshing and delicious! This is a must try if you ever visit!! 11/10 Passion Fruit Green Tea with Aloe and Agar: aloe, agar. I absolutely loved the tea:fruit flavour ratio in this drink. Though the sugar level is fixed, it's possible to request for more tea! 8/10 Overall, this place is on the pricier end but I would say their products surely reflect the prices. Not only is it worth the price but also the drive there (it is a bit farther for me). I love how unique their menu is and will return to try their mulberry drink! These drinks have toppings that create a distinctive texture and if you like having something to chew in your drink, this is perfect!

Tieguan yin tea latte & pearl milk tea
    Kylie T.

So glad they made it closer to me! We ordered 4 drinks and did end up waiting quite a while (although I did see they were very busy with orders inside). I personally had the tieguan yin tea latte and it did not disappoint!! I also had a taste of their milk tea and it was delicious. Loved that their drinks weren't overly sweet and were rich in flavour. Their menu looked like it had so many great options too so I'll definitely be back to try more Aside from their tasty drinks I also found their service to be great. Although I didn't take her up on it, the employee offered to run our drinks out to the car instead of having us wait outside in the cold. They had many orders the day I went, yet they remained friendly and updated us on our wait times too.

I've heard about this brand from a few foodie friends, and I had to try their drinks myself! When we came in, the owner (Kelly) was inside welcoming us and every guest coming in. She was very friendly and told us alittle abit the brand and the products. I like how she cares about the staff as they are all wearing a mask, and also there's a shield that covers the whole open kitchen area. I ordered the 3Q TP MT (one of their famous drinks), and Kelly was able to recommend me the perfect combination of ice and sugar level. Firstly, the tea was very flavorful itself, and it was filled with a lot of tapioca/ jelly and QQ noodles! I was surprised by the portions they give. They also use cane sugar to make their tapioca to give it that perfect sweetness. Kelly was very nice to let us try another famous drink; their Fruit Tea with Chia Seeds on the house. As usual, she was able to help me determine what ice and sugar level I wanted. The drink itself doesn't have too much sugar, so you don't have to lower the sugar levels too much. If you like your drinks normal sweet and not too much ice, I recommend half sugar and less ice ;) A very refreshing drink, especially for a hot day. I actually came back a few days after to get the same drinks (cause they're that good!) I recommend trying out their drinks!! Thank you Kelly :)

Pink salt cheese crema mulberry tea
    Megan L.

My friend has been raving about this place for awhile now, but I just never had a chance to go until recently when I ventured off into the ever crowded Commerce Gate again..the place full of bbt options. It's an extremely small place with only a counter and enough space for about 5 people maximum in there. Because of covid, they ask for you to stand outside and wait for your order number to be called after you order. She recommended me to try their more popular drinks, Pink Salt Cheese Crema Mulberry Tea, which has some creamy cheese foam on top of a super refreshing mulberry tea. Ok...honestly, it tasted heavenly, like a smoothie. The taste seems so familiar, as if I had tried it on another food, but I couldn't put my finger to it, but anyways, it tasted so creamy, so good and like I said refreshing for the summer months! I'm definitely going back and probably order the same thing again or possibly try their original milk tea because they have some interesting topping choices there!

Commerce Gate is famous for being packed with countless bubble tea shops. Most are famous franchises, such as Chatime, CoCo, Tiger Sugar, Yoyo , etc. Now Tea seems so different among them. I had never seen this store before visiting Commerce Gate. After Googling it, I found that it is also a franchise, but it operates only in Ontario, with three stores in total. Being low-profile alone does not qualify it as a hidden gem. That just means it does not spend much on marketing. What really impressed me was the flavour of its bubble tea. We tried the Milk Green Tea and Milk TieGuanYin, both with bubbles. The tea flavour was strong and full of the unique aromas of green and oolong tea, but it was also smooth going down. The bubbles had been boiled for the perfect amount of time: not so briefly that they had hard centres and not so long that they became too soft. They were very chewy, among the best bubbles I have ever had. The inside of the tea shop is spacious and has plenty of tables and seats. The lighting is bright, and I always see customers working or studying there. Other tea shops usually have very few seats and dim lighting; basically, they do not want to give you a Starbucks vibe and let you sit for too long. Another interesting fact: if you come to Commerce Gate early in the morning, before 11:00, Now Tea is the only tea shop that is open because it also serves coffee. The drinks are also less expensive than those at more famous brands. I guess they save a lot of money on marketing: lower prices and higher quality. I tried this store for the first time this week, and we have already been here three times. As a tea lover, I ask everyone reading this review: you must come here and try their drinks!

Reviewing 2oz of Coffee (located inside Now Tea)…read more This coffee counter is known for doubling up their espresso shots in their lattes, so get ready to be well caffeinated. I arrived right when they opened, and there were already a few people waiting in line. The menu is small & curated, focusing more on the coffee than specialty flavours. However, they do have a good selection of flavoured lattes. I wasn't able to see which beans they used for the espresso, but overall, their roast seems to be a bit darker/stronger, which balances out a sweeter latte well. I tried the iced biscoff and pistachio lattes. The biscoff is slightly sweeter and nuttier - definitely my fave of the two. The pistachio latte, in contrast, was disappointing. It was $1 more than the biscoff latte, looked nothing like the photo on the counter, and didn't taste much of pistachio at all. Although it looks like a separate counter, I realized that you can order drinks from either "shop" from their one main counter. I also found it a bit confusing to figure out the hours of operation, as Google said 2oz of Coffee opens at 11am, but the Now Tea shop isn't open until 12pm.

I peeled off one of them and noticed Song Tea. Interesting. My quest was to find a Song Tea and see what the difference was between the drinks at the two places. I wasn't interested in why the name was covered up. It's not really my business, but it did spark my curiosity to try Song Tea. I did a search and found that this location in Richmond Hill was the closest to me. After running a number of errands a couple of Saturdays ago, I placed an order through Uber Eats for pickup. I ordered the following drinks: - Blue Curacao soda - Pink peach soda I had the former drink at Deer Mango, so I would do the comparison between stores with it. I love carbonated drinks, so I had to get the other one that was available. My order was ready well before I got to the store. Due to the lockdown, it wasn't busy at Times Square. For years, I avoided this area like the plague because it was busy and parking was chaotic. It was the complete opposite when I got there. There was a lone car parked in front of the store. I parked next to it and walked in. The store is cute. I would think that it was much cuter before the pandemic. There was a little whirlpool that was empty. I looked at older photos and it had colour balls and plushies. It looks like the mascot is either a llama or alpaca, which made my day! I talked to the woman behind the counter. She was so friendly. I indicated that I had an Uber Eats order. She pointed at the bag in front of her and said that it was mine. I was thrilled. I thanked her and left with my goodies. I had the drinks when I got home. Let's talk about packaging. So much care went into it. Both my drinks were in a crate in the paper bag with a cool camouflage motif. At this store, I was able to specify that I didn't want any sugar in my drinks. I didn't have that option at Deer Mango. The lowest sugar option was 30%. The small pineapple chunks in the blue curacao drink were yummy. I love this drink so much. It wasn't sweet. It had carbonation. It was pretty. It tasted great! I then had the pink peach drink. It was so good with the small strawberries. The peach flavour worked well with the strawberry bits. I loved the fizziness. It also made me feel like it was summer drinking this beverage. I am a huge fan. I haven't dropped by in over a week and have withdrawal symptoms. I will return. (238)
