Absolutely a nice plus to look at while waiting for your order. Today unfortunately they did not have Tapioca which is just so sad and they also said they didn't have coconut so we couldn't order the kumquat coconut drink. This is my first time here and only time any Kung Fu Tea had no tapioca. Anyways place is pretty quick when you order your food. It wasn't a long line up or anything. This bubble tea shop is quite pretty inside. It isn't the typical long and narrow rectangular shop but closer to a square. The decorations are quite nice. They had two Feb 2023 specials, with red as the primary colour for Valentine's Day. We chose the Strawberry Ice Tea with Agar Bubbles ($5.20). We rarely get egg waffles at a bubble tea store but my son wanted one so we got the Chocolate Egg Waffle ($5.00). The drink was delicious. The egg waffle was too dry; I told the manager and he thanked me for the feedback. Service was courteous with a smile. At first, the Kung Fu sign lights inside were not turned on, but once they saw we were serious about photography, they turned it on. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Lots of parking, easy to find. It's in the plaza In the Bruno food's plaza. They currently have a summer special for a few of their slushes. I ordered the mango slush, which was not too sweet and very refreshing. The brown sugar tapioca is really well done. They're chewy with lots of good flavour. I think by far, they have one of the top brown sugar tapioca's I've tried and I wouldn't mind coming to them again. Staff are very friendly and are practicing social distancing well. This is one of the better bubble tea places & as you can see I've visited this outlet more times than I really should... Green milk tea with grass jelly had smooth grass jelly (though there's less grass jelly than at the Mulock outlet). It was a decent tea with good body. 100% sugar level was pleasantly sweet. Oreo black warrior is brown sugar milk with tapioca, ice cream and oreos, topped with milk foam. It's much less sweet than other places' brown sugar bubble tea. Pretty elaborate and indulgent. 38 milk king is milk tea with tapioca, grass jelly and agar jelly (like firmer pearls). They gave me brown sugar, probably by mistake. It was good. Relatively cheap way to get 3 toppings. Rose oolong tea is very fragrant. You can't control the sugar level since it uses syrup though. The pearls have a perfect texture - soft, silky yet still firm. Rose milk tea was very fragrant. Basil seeds: interesting topping but annoying: they float so you must keep stirring or jiggle your straw to get good mixture of drink & topping. Pudding milk tea at 70% sugar was pretty good. Pudding was smooth. Tea taste was there and tasted legit. It was just the right sweetness. Red bean jelly milk was a refreshing combination of red bean, a lot of fresh milk and yellow jelly. A little small though. Passionfruit QQ has a nice texture for to 3 types of toppings. Fruit flavour is good with real fruit. Peach yogurt slush is pretty good. The yogurt taste is quite pronounced. Jin Xuan oolong had nice character. I enjoy trying new bubble tea shops and I was close by to this one. First impression, not many options on the menu compared to other shops I've been to. I decided to try what I love most *matcha* with cheese foam. The foam reminded me of Japanese cheesecake flavour which I like. Nothing to say about the matcha cause I love them all lol! They use brown sugar tapioca on all their drinks so it made it nice and sweet. The other drink was a strawberry yogurt with brown sugar tapioca. The interior is very bright and has cool feature walls, and seemed to be kept very clean. I've been waiting for a great bubble tea store to open near me and finally we have one! Kung Fu Tea Bayview is ultra modern, clean, inviting, and located in the heart of Richmond Hill. This family run location has some of the friendliest staff providing great service and are always willing to help. The service is fast, the menus are easy to understand and the bubble tea is nothing like I have tasted before, outstanding. My personal favourite is the Pearl Latte with brown sugar, made with extra care by the staff. When visiting give a thought to the Yakult Green Tea with Aloe, and if your feeling like a pleasant surprise go for the Taro Sago! Slightly pricier option but the location is ideal! Located in a quiet plaza with tons of parking. I love that their drinks on regular sweetness seems to be less sweet than some other places. Finally a great BBT place in Richmond Hill! This tea shop is bright, clean spacious, friendly and the staff are fantastic! The atmosphere is welcoming and the drinks are delicious! I really enjoyed the winter melon drink I ordered. It is refreshing and caffeine free, perfect for when you want a late night drink and don't want to be up all night. I need my beauty sleep! The signature lite fruit tea is also amazing, with real fruit slices inside. Considering it's their soft opening period, the staff are pretty fast at making the orders so I didn't have to wait long but I gather some staff are still in training. I also tried the waffles in original flavour and chocolate. They are both awesome it's hard to choose a favourite but I think the original flavour tips the scale just a bit. The waffles are made fresh so you do have to wait 5-10 minutes but the time goes fast. I'll have to try the green tea flavour next time, and there will definitely be as next time!! I was first there when they opened early/mid March and pretty much every week thereafter. Right now, they only have take out or delivery options (the seating area is now closed) because of the Covid19 pandemic. It's great to see they are trying to follow government and health officials' recommendations but still serve their customers and keep them safe with social distancing and frequent sanitizing. Hopefully this pandemic won't affect their business too much and they will be around for a long time because this is my new favourite BBT spot!! So happy this Kung Fu Tea shop is in my neighborhood!! I'm so excited that there is finally a bubble tea shop within walking/biking distance. The tea is great, staff are nice and friendly. I've gone quite a few times over the first few weeks since they have opened and so far I have liked all the drinks. They do a nice thing where the tapioca is warm in the drink, so it's got a kinda luxury feeling to it. It's better than cocos and chatime IMO. They are more expensive than those two, but I can say that the price is definitely justified. I don't have a picture of it, but my current favourite drink is the grapefruit green tea with agar bubble. I like it with less ice, but that's just a personal preference. And although they are expensive, the warrior drinks are really nice to look at. For the ice cream black warrior they use a blow torch to cook the sugar sprinkled on top, and it's just a really interesting thing to look at as its being made. The Richmond Hill branch of Kung Fu Tea branch just opened in March 2020 so I was really excited to give it a try! Way too overpriced in my opinion! But other than that, the staff is really friendly, the ambiance inside the store is nice, and they have good promotions. Make sure to join the membership program if it's your first time trying Kung Fu Tea since they have lots of cool perks like a free drink on your birthday, $2 off your second purchase, chance to rack up points, etc. I tried their grapefruit green tea with agar bubble which was a solid 4/5. They had a real grapefruit slice inside the drink which was very unique! With 50% honey it tastes really refreshing and not too sweet, but it was kind of overpriced for $6.50. I also tried the cheese milk foam with mango (came to about $7) and that was a flop in my opinion -- maybe a 2/5 at best. The combination of creamy cheese milk and fruity mango tastes *definitely* didn't go together. Overall, nice bubble tea place albeit pricey. read more
