Stopped by for some bubble tea. They have some other locations as well in Ajax and Vaughan too. Got the Passion fruit Green Tea with Pearls. It was pretty good! Some places just put way too much sugar where even 50% sugar feels like a lot but this place was not too sweet! Pearls were OK, but the green tea base was good. They have pretty limited seating (maybe due to COVID) because there's a ton of empty space in there without tables. Nice spot overall, good tea! read more

This is our absolute favorite bubble tea place! We have been coming here since they opened and continue to stop when in town by even though we have both moved out of town for post secondary! Great bubble tea shop offering a variety of unique flavor rolled ice cream. The staff was friendly and provided great service. You are offered unlimited toppings for your rolled ice cream. This may however change as they get busier but it is s nice perk not having to pay for each topping. I ordered a simple milk tea, the texture and flavor of the tapioca bubbles was great but the milk tea needed some work. I will have to try to revisit this place again to see if my opinions will change on their bubble tea. read more

Probably the best bubble tea place in the area. Can be very busy at times so be prepared to wait a little while to get your order made. They have a wide variety of milk teas, tea lattes, mousses, fruit teas, slushes plus a bunch of other options such as ice cream rolls, egg waffles, fresh tea or coffee. I also think this is a small family run business, so it's nice to support Ice Babo rather than go to ChaTime etc read more

Was sooo excited to find this place way up North in the boonies! I has skeptical at first about how authentic this place would be, but it is on par with the BBT and dessert places in other parts of the GTA. It was surprisingly fairly priced too. We had the special, which was the Ferraro Roche Rolled Ice Cream, which was just perfect. They put on a little show by rolling the ice cream for all the food bloggers, and go the extra mile with the little fixins they add to the dessert. They have an assortment of BBT's and slushes here too, but still hoping they may expand the menu to include classic favourites like Almond! We were in a rush the evening we came here, but there is enough space to hang out and enjoy your drink/dessert at your leisure. We will be back! read more

Genuine surprise finding a good bubbletea shop that's not the typical franchise like Chatime or The Alley. The review is short as my wife and I didn't stay here long. We ordered the macha egg waffle and a black tea (either peach or mango). The drink was pretty good and just having egg waffles this far up north felt golden. Service was on point and the place was clean. The place was tastefully furnished and well kept! We'll be coming back soon! read more

So happy to have another bubble tea place in Newmarket along with having... gasp! Rolled ice cream!! No line ups! I love it already! Been here two times and each visit was great. I highly recommend the Ferraro Rocher rolled ice cream. It's a bit pricier but still acceptable. It was absolutely delicious! They also add on toppings, etc. It was also fun watching them make it. The owners were so nice and even offered my son a waffle cookie because we weren't sharing any with him lol Ordered the Roasted Milk Tea with grass jelly on both occasions. As always, no ice and less sugar. It was perfect! The drinks are all 'large' sizes if you compare it to Chatime sizing and only around $5. Plenty of parking! Definitely coming back ! Big win for me! This place replaced the last bubble tea place but with a bit of a twist-they have "ice cream rolls". This is liquid cream poured onto a frozen table, then scraped, folded and rolled before being placed in a cup with tasty toppings. I had my first taste of rolled ice cream in Vegas. But I'm still all about the tea. My reference Mango Green Tea is a win. I order it with no sugar, since there is sugar in the mango syrup already. This is the place I was waiting for to save having to drive to Richmond Hill several times per week. I can buy a lot of teas with my fuel savings! read more

I was actually more hungry but didn't want ice cream or waffles (why was I here you ask?) anyway the mousse was yummy and pretty much hit the spot as it was was not too sweet and the matcha still actually tasted like matcha (not like what one gets at Starbucks). I have been coming here almost every Friday since it opened, and I must say, Ice Babo, and their friendly staff never disappoint! They have a large menu that is constantly expanding (The honey dew milk tea is really good!), and they're the only place in Newmarket that has rolled ice cream, how neat! This ain't no Arctic Bite but for those living up north and, like us, are not too big of a fan on driving downtown just for rolled ice cream, this is great! We were given the choice of choosing our own toppings which was nice. Lots of seating and quite clean. Music was quite quiet so it felt a little awkward that everyone can hear our converaation.
