The best Japanese lager and a glass of white wine was just what we craved. We humped our gear up a short flight of stairs to a room around the corner on the second floor. Beautiful! Clean! Comfortable king bed. Quality engineered hardwood floors, no plastic here. Wood ceilings and pine open closet neatly organized with plush white towels. Thoughtfully appointed room in modern colors that complimented the wood and white linens. All of it, ample space, color coordination (even the old style phone matched the fridge and microwave). But the bathroom was amazing. Beautiful tile work, walls and floor. The plumbing fixtures look like "steam pump" style in brass. Nothing was missed here. Everything matches. Clearly the owner takes great pride in this motel and has gone above and beyond to make their guest's stay remarkable and memorable. Needless to say, we are impressed and so pleased to find this gem. Check-in was smooth, and the staff member who greeted us was genuinely pleasant and cool, giving us some extra water and few green bags of goodies (returned the next day), promising to wave the parking fee. That's where the positives ended. After a long drive, we dropped our bags in da rooms and went out for a dinner without inspecting our rooms a bit closely. When we returned later that night and checked the beds with a UV light, we were shocked to find stains on both beds. It was darn disturbing (photos attached)! We went down to the front desk to report it. The night staff told us there was no one available to change the linens and no other rooms available to change at full occupancy. Instead, we were handed a set of sheets and sent back to deal with it ourselves. After 10 PM, exhausted, we had no real choice but to accept it. In the morning, we raised the issue again with the new front desk rep. The replacement sheets were not much better, and despite our complaint, the response was limited to verbal apologies only. We were still charged full price for the night, plus a $20 parking fee for overfilled parking lot that's essentially had open access from the street. This is not the level of cleanliness or service expected from a Hyatt. Do your due diligence and do not assume standards are being met. Check your room carefully before settling in. Breakfast on the other hand was great! Variety of eggs, milks and healthy choices beat other Hyatt locations we stated at the next day in Portland. Loved it, and that what basically got the stars.

While the facilities were admittedly dated, the beautifully maintained grounds and charming atmosphere made it worthwhile. Unfortunately, last night's visit completely destroyed those positive recollections. We checked in around 11 PM and were sent to our assigned room -- a tiny, isolated space in the attic. It was unbearably hot and steamy, with no air conditioning or adequate ventilation, despite the rest of the building being cooled. The conditions were so shocking and unsafe that we turned around immediately, left without staying, and went to find another hotel. When we raised the issue, staff simply suggested using a fan. The only way to have endured the night would have been to sleep with the door wide open to the hallway, which was obviously not a safe or reasonable option. I will never return to this hotel and cannot recommend it to anyone. The lack of basic comfort and guest care is unacceptable.

We typically try to stay with the Hilton brand and chose to stay in this Tru location which is convenient to both Interstate 5 and stops in Eugene or Springfield. It is also convenient for those in town for campus related events at the U of O. We booked our stay online and as usual, checked in via the Hilton app. When we arrived, we decided to get keys from the front desk, primarily because our past experiences with using the digital keys to unlock doors has been a miss roughly 10 to 20% of the time. The entry, lobby and outside appears to be well taken care of. We stayed here for a total of five nights. Our experience was quiet, clean and comfortable, everything we look for in a hotel.

When we got an email of our statement they charged us for 3 rooms when we only stayed and booked one room. The rooms have paper thin walls and you could hear people talking all night. The compressor on the refrigerator ran very loudly every 30 minutes and was very annoying. On top of that the toilet would run about every 30 minutes. The shower has terrible water pressure. The main door to your room has a 1/4 gap underneath it so light from the hallway comes in and you can hear everyone walking down the hall entering their rooms. Drunk people walking down the hall at 2.30 in the morning and you could hear everything they said. The sheets on the bed feel like sandpaper. Needless to say I could not sleep the entire night and felt very uncomfortable. I would never stay here again.
