Maverick is next to Starbucks and walking distance to a market, eateries, osen, and giftshop. Rooms 3.5/5* The rooms have all your basics: free wifi, tv, mini fridge, microwave, hairdryer, coffee maker, and shower amenities. There's a clipboard with rules and a free postcard. The bed was clean and comfy with a fluffy blanket and pillows so floofy that my dog tried to claim them. The corners and cracks aren't too clean, but it's a probably a small business, which was ok as long as the bed and bathroom are clean. Considering it's dog friendly and my dog didn't try to mark all the corners of the room, that's telling me they're doing something right with the cleaning. Conveniences 5/5* The convenience and extras are what make this place. They have smores ingredients to roast on the front patio fire pits 5-8pm Friday & Saturdays. The fire pits are turned on any time you're out there, without curfew. The breakfast area inside the lobby is open 24/7 to grab cereal, granola, applesauce, or granola bars. Breakfast is from 5:30am to 10am, which is so convenient for us when leaving early for hiking and for the last day when sleeping in. Although they are grab n go, there is a small rotating hot breakfast menu: biscuits & gravy or sausage omlette. And check-out is awesome at 12pm wow! I asked my doggo and he said he gave it two paws up. He loved his tennis ball and the easy access the the strip of lawn in the parking lot.

You must step up into each unit and the office. The bathroom door is narrow; you might be able to get in sideways with a walker, but not a Rollator. There are new low-sided tubs, and hooray! they provide a no-slip tub mat. So happy I didn't have to use mine. But no grab bars. I used the towel rack, but this worried me, because i could easily see it coming off the wall. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner is provided in the shower. But someone wasn't thinking during the bathroom remodel. The mirror over the sink was mounted above the tile. At 4'11", all I can (barely) see is the top of my head. If I need a mirror, I have to step into the hallway and use the big mirror on the closet door. But the only lighting comes from the bathroom, so putting on makeup is a crapshoot. I just hoped each day that I'd applied it evenly. The sink faucet ran endlessly unless you turned it way to one side. The toilet paper holder was right under the towel rack. Thank goodness the beds are not crazy high. I was able to easily get in and out. The mattresses are on the firmer side, but not rock-hard. Plenty of pillows are provided. There's a light blanket on the bed, another blanket in the closet (along with a safe and a suitcase rack). Rooms have mini-fridges and microwaves, and a small desk and work chair. There was also a big upholstered chair. There's plenty of lighting, and an A/C - heating unit under the window. It quickly cools or heats the room, but it doesn't reach the bathroom. The large-screen TV is nice, and gets lots of channels, and yet I had trouble finding anything I really wanted to watch. I didn't hear much noise from outside or other rooms, but no one was in the unit next to me during my stay. It's one story, so no upstairs, and there's plenty of parking. There are a couple of places outside where you can sit, and a soda machine. A continental breakfast is available in the office. A couple of fast-food places (Four Guys and Jimmy John's) are about two blocks away. Downtown Eugene is a few blocks away.

We typically try to stay with the Hilton brand and chose to stay in this Tru location which is convenient to both Interstate 5 and stops in Eugene or Springfield. It is also convenient for those in town for campus related events at the U of O. We booked our stay online and as usual, checked in via the Hilton app. When we arrived, we decided to get keys from the front desk, primarily because our past experiences with using the digital keys to unlock doors has been a miss roughly 10 to 20% of the time. The entry, lobby and outside appears to be well taken care of. We stayed here for a total of five nights. Our experience was quiet, clean and comfortable, everything we look for in a hotel.

The plane was full and half of the plane didn't even wait in line, they waited for ubers and lyfts. And by the time I requested an uber they took all the ubers on the road and it's now past midnight. I requested a refund within an hour of booking to cut me some slack! I now have a hotel room waiting for me that I can't even get to. So I wasted $110 from the $175 they gave me. Couldn't get an uber. Also, NO FOOD. I'm starving!! I purposefully didn't eat so I'd be hungry when I landed. Everything was closed except for 2 vending machines. 1 machine was for drinks which was OUT OF ORDER. And I was dehydrated. And the other was junk food. So for dinner at 1am I had a bag of chex mix. Slept at the airport for 3 hours since it was so cold. It was just an awful night. I then wake up to a charge of $110 for the hotel that nobody slept in. So thank you Budget Lodge Eugene, you guys were awesome! So awesome that I'll be sure to never book again.
