What an amazing treat to stay at the Lanzarotta's Bed and Breakfast. I had no idea what to expect as I was not the one who found or booked this place, but I was completely blown away by the beauty and hospitality here. Once we wound up the rocky road past the saw mill, we were greeted by the resident bloodhound and the man of the house, who upgraded us to the Yew room because we were the only ones staying there that night. Let me just explain that the Yew room is essentially the most romantic room you will ever have the pleasure of staying in. This thing has honeymoon suite written all over it. There's a full kitchen complete with a fruit basket and homemade caramels. Floor to ceiling windows and skylights brings the outside and in and you can relax on the huge and beautiful bed while listening to the rain. The floors are heated and the shower has THREE shower heads. The attention to detail in this room and at the B&B in general is beyond words. I felt like a queen. Marc and Beth were so accommodating. They made us a reservation for dinner at an unbelievable winery down the road and served us one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. They were also a pleasure to talk to and get to know. I will definitely be back again!

    Beautiful Forest Area

We have had many opportunities to stay at BnBs throughout the country, specifically in the Eugene, Oregon, area, and Beth's property is our all-time favorite. My wife and I stayed one night at LANZAROTTA Bed and Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our time on the property. Beth met us when we arrived, and we immediately felt welcome in her home. We poured a glass of wine and walked the property exploring the beauty surrounding this lovely BnB. We will be back for a more extended stay because everything in this region is two hours or less drive from the property. Beth has been hosting guests for many years, and it shows in her ability to make you feel at home. We stayed in the upstairs apartment; it has views from every window, heated floors, and fantastic decor with wood taken from the property. The attention to detail is evident everywhere, Beth and Mark poured their hearts into this property, and they thought of everything. The upstairs room has a kitchenette, full bathroom, and a wrap-around patio that offers impressive views and a great place to drink wine and your coffee in the morning. This property is a Must-see; you will not be disappointed with this stay.

Highly recommend this BnB, especially after dinner (and a few glasses of wine) at King Estate Winery, just a short drive up the road. Beth and Mark were really great, very warm and accommodating hosts. The rooms were beautiful, built with wood from their property, very clean, quiet, and comfortable. It was fun waking up in what felt like a very luxurious cabin in the woods. In the morning Beth and Mark greeted us in their kitchen with a delicious homemade breakfast (really superb, and I'm picky!), they made all the guests feel very comfortable and at home at their table and we stayed chatting for a long time after we'd finished eating. Beth then gave us a tour of their "Yew room" suite upstairs which was really spectacular. Lots of skylights and windows, beautiful wood beams, high ceiling, just gorgeous and perfect for a romantic retreat in Oregon. I will definitely be coming back!

Stay here. It is amazing, beautiful and the owners are fantastic.

Most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The hosts (husband and wife) met us when we pulled in and showed us to the room. It is beautiful and hand crafted by the owners from wood from their property. Stocked refrigerator with sodas, water, condiments etc. fresh and extra linens in the gorgeous bathroom. Double headed, walk in shower, kitchenette panoramic views and deck all the way around the suite. We will definitely make the drive to come stay here again for a weekend get away. It's so romantic and surreal.

Hands down the best choice. Wish we could have stayed more than one night! Beautiful setting, hospitable people, top-chef food & relaxing, rustic cabin feel.

Excuse our stuff, and my husband still in bed, but here is the Yew suite.

Beautiful yard and house made from the trees that had been there. Beth was so nice and welcomed us into her home.

It was a bit dark but we could definitely tell how cute and adorable this place was from the outside! The Victorian style architecture, the details, and the decorations around the house were phenomenal! The dining room, living room and even the restrooms were all filled with an antique feel furniture, books, etc. I loved the details on the door hands to the door hinges. My boyfriend was in awe of all the working sliding door hinges as they were older style - but definitely new. The breakfast was amazing - as I believe Josh cooked for us. I was stuffed! Even the breakfast service was delicious as Josh and Miriam joined us for a morning conversation as well~ The next morning, we went around the house to have a better look and you can definitely tell they put in a lot of work! Inside the living room is an old photo of how the house looked. And if you see it now - it looks exactly the same! Their yard looks amazing to have a cup of coffee/tea in and even have a little train area in the back! They also have a cat who is very friendly. (The cat is not allowed indoors FYI.) Overall, we LOVED this place and is definitely a place to stay at! This has so far been the BEST bread & breakfast place I have ever stayed at. I hope I can come back to Eugene just so I can come and stay here again~ (I also added some photos!)

Hosts Shelley and Pat were good hosts, making good conversation and ensuring we were comfortable. We appreciated their hospitality and hope to visit them again. Outside This property is located on the Umpqua River. It's incredibly beautiful and natural and so peaceful. We observed an eagle not far from the house, and the elk herd a ways down the road. Shelley provided directions to a good spot to climb the sand dunes. I'm sorry we stayed for only one night. Daybreak Haven is an extremely pleasant place to visit, and if we head into Oregon again, I plan to book it for at least 2 nights.

We took the trail up to the lighthouse and saw the lightkeeper's home on the way. There is a fence all around and it is not open to the public, but there were people sitting on the porch! We realized it was a bed and breakfast and I was heartbroken not to have known about it before as we certainly would have included a stay there in our vacation plans. I tucked it away as a hopeful wish for someday.... Well, little did I know at the time, we ended up moving to Oregon a few years later! As soon as we were settled, I determined we must make a weekend trip and stay at the lighthouse. We finally did and it lived up to every one of my lofty expectations. The lightkeeper's house is accessed via a private road, and there are a few parking spaces near the house, but it was pretty tight. Upon arrival, we were greeted and brought to our room, with a quick tour of the home and some suggestions of things to see or do while there. We booked one of the Mariner's rooms as they have such a gorgeous view of the ocean. The bedroom and bathroom inside were definitely small, but that is to be expected in a historic home, and no matter as the bed was comfortable as could be! Of note, some rooms share a bathroom so check while booking if you have a preference. Once we'd checked it out, we stopped by the cheese and fruit out for guest's arrival on our way to the beach, and they were so sweet to give us a little box so we could pack some goodies to enjoy on the sand. They had wine, too! We spent a perfect hour or so at the beach, then headed into Florence for dinner. This or Yachats are the closest city for meals (about 20 minutes either direction) so either eat before you check in, or plan to go back out. They do have a kitchen that is available for guests, so you could bring an easy to prepare meal. Once we'd returned, we spent some more time at the beach, then relaxed in our room until dark. Then we grabbed a flashlight and headed on up the trail to admire the lighthouse in the night. This was such a unique experience and the highlight of our stay. You can see how far out the light beams to sea, and we hiked up a bit behind the lighthouse, so we were right at the level with the rotating light. Incredible! Back in our room, we cracked the windows for a lovely ocean breeze and fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Perfection. In the morning, I took a little time to read through the ghost stories they have collected (too wimpy to read at night!), we wandered around the beach for a bit, and then guess what! The stay isn't over yet as there is a stunning seven course breakfast! This is served family style with other guests, although they do give you the option to dine separately if you let them know ahead of time. The food was magnificent! They explained each dish as it came out and it was all so fresh and skillfully prepared. We had a tropical fruit salad, bread, tuna ceviche, mango smoothie, quiche, sausage, panna cotta, and finished with fruit and cheese. Of note, if you don't wish to stay but would like to have breakfast in the lightkeeper's house, they do special breakfasts for special occasions and at certain times of the year, just check the website for dates. After the meal, they offered a little history tour inside the house which we sadly didn't have time to stay for, but we did go to the lighthouse for quick tour and to peruse the gift shop before checking out. It truly was such a dream of a trip, and I would definitely suggest staying for two nights. I thought one would be sufficient but would have loved more time. A couple tips about the area: This is just a mile or two north of the Sea Lion Caves. They are 110% a tourist trap, but still worth a visit if you've never been. We ate dinner at Mari's Kitchen in Florence and it was delicious, would highly suggest it, although it is located in a cute downtown area with all sorts of options. The same people who run the bed and breakfast own Ona's in Yachats, so I'm sure that would be great too. While in the area, make sure to plan some time to explore magical Cape Perpetua.
