The check-in was quick and friendly. The rooms were clean, the bathroom felt spacious, and the shower had solid water pressure. The bed was comfortable for a good night's sleep and I love the black out shades along small work station I loved the complimentary breakfast--eggs, sausage, pancakes, and oatmeal. About 10 years ago, we used to live in Eugene. My wife has family that lives in the area and we come to visit on a regular basis. Usually, we stay with family. This time we decided to stay in a local hotel. We typically try to stay with the Hilton brand and chose to stay in this Tru location which is convenient to both Interstate 5 and stops in Eugene or Springfield. It is also convenient for those in town for campus related events at the U of O. We booked our stay online and as usual, checked in via the Hilton app. When we arrived, we decided to get keys from the front desk, primarily because our past experiences with using the digital keys to unlock doors has been a miss roughly 10 to 20% of the time. The entry, lobby and outside appears to be well taken care of. We stayed here for a total of five nights. First time staying here at this hotel. I highly recommend. My hotel room was extremely clean. I love the updated options. It was quiet. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was amazing. You have to try the automatic pancake machine. The kids will love it. The breakfast was amazing. I've never had continental breakfast like this. Definitely try the eggs, try the sausage, the pancake maker and the fresh muffins. Absolutely delicious and I love all of the healthy options that they offer. The only thing I could say I would recommend differently is the size of the shower is like an RV shower in a very big bathroom. And I would definitely suggest better toilet paper for Hilton. This place is super convenient and they give you the best recommendations for places around town to eat. Definitely staying again. read more

We booked this hotel last minute for a memorial service and the price was *really* high. The Ducks had their spring game and the Eugene Marathon was that weekend (ran right by and not too far from the start/finish) so I get that it was demand. To be fair, Motel 6 was only advertising rates about $60 cheaper and this was by far a better deal. The hotel is dog friendly so there were a lot of fuzzy guests. This means that there is little carpet so people with allergies likely need not worry. Our room overlooked the Willamette River and had a gorgeous view. It was an accessible room (literally the only one left) which meant we had a lot of space because accessible rooms are designed to make sure chair users can get around. It also meant the tub sides were low and there was a shower chair and grab bars. They also had a blackout curtain shade in addition to the curtains. Room had a small fridge. The staff were really great. Check in, check out, and bag pick up (we left them so we didn't have them sitting in the car during the ceremony) were super easy. The breakfast staff were so nice. A friend came by w her kids and we were in the lobby chatting just after breakfast and they gave them little treats. Breakfast is plain yogurt out of a machine, a pancake maker, oatmeal, and we had sausage and egg both mornings. There are cereals and a variety of breads and pastries. Milk and juice are also available. However! The coffee is super strong. Parking later at night was tricky because some of y'alls need to learn to keep your wheels in the line, especially when hotels are at capacity. It abuts two other hotels (Candlewood and a Fairfield) with a long parking lot. Parking was free. I would stay again. read more

Great spot for a quick stay. The room and hotel were all very clean. Good black out shades. The staff were super friendly and the price was reasonable. I would stay here again for an overnight stay. I would not choose this hotel for a longer stay because the room does not have closets or drawers but rather wall hooks and a bench. I like a neat space and do not enjoy having stuff sitting out all over the place. Also there is no carpeting for sound dampening so we could hear loud walking from the floor above late into the night and early morning even with ear plugs and a noise machine. read more

I've Always stayed here I normally don't stray from the Hilton unless I'm in Los Vegas or Reno then I normally get a presidential Suite and it's paid for by My work . But on the road for vacation or family visits I will always stay at the Hilton. They are reliable. The prices are decent and I can always count on them being friendly and having a clean room and safe and secure. I've never had a problem with theft at this place as I have in the past Do I learned my lesson and won't stay anywhere else I know I can recommend or have a in room visit without being embarrassed of the quality and care of the room. Stopped on our way up to Portland and this brand has quickly become a favorite for us. The place is new and modern. Focused for the generation with bold colors and fun interiors. Free pool table for everyone to use, 24 hour gym with a peloton bike (love that!), and the free breakfast was great. Rooms were clean and spacious. read more

If I could give this hotel a zero star it would be appropriate. I made a reservation for UofO 2025 graduation with Expedia back in the summer of 2024. The reservation was made from June 13th - June 18th. The reservation had a 24 hour cancellation penalty. No other restrictions applied. Graduation details were released last week and I promptly called to shorten my stay to three nights. I now needed June 15th - June 18th. I spoke with Alonis B. who advised the hotel had a minimum stay in place and she would not reduce the reservation. I spoke with Expedia who also spoke with Alonis and she once again refused to assist. When I booked this reservation there was NOT a minimum stay listed on MY reservation. It is completely unethical to change policy AFTER a reservation has been made. This is nothing short of greed, price gouging, horrible customer service and taking advantage of parents coming in for graduation who are at the mercy of the college to get date information to us. I am a seasoned traveler and was in the the hotel industry for 25 years. Hilton should be ashamed of themselves. Stay away from this hotel. They don't deserve the college communities patronage. I am done with Hilton. They have lost a customer for life. read more

I usually find it suspicious if a hotel offers free breakfast. The food quality is typically not worth ingesting. However, Tru had a decent breakfast sandwich comparable to something from Starbucks. Bold lavazza coffee brewed properly, real cream and orange juice that was not excessively diluted we're all good. For a quick breakfast this was not bad at all. The rooms remind me of IKEA but I think it is a nice non-luxury concept - there's no wardrobe or closet so your clothes stay in your luggage. I liked the soap and shampoo dispensers instead of those arcane little bottles. The A/C was super cool and shower head had good water pressure. Parking access and proximity to the elevator was efficient. Nice European hostel-esque lobby. read more

Absolutely amazing stay! On a recent long-distance drive from Seattle to San Diego, we decided to stop and rest for the night. I've never stayed at this particular location before, but I know the quality of Hilton hotels, so I knew it would be great and I wasn't wrong. The hotel was brightly lit and welcoming. The people behind the desk were very friendly and check-in was a breeze. There were a ton of places in the vast lobby to sit and relax or work on a laptop. The room was huge! There were hardwood floors, a huge walk-in shower, everything was super clean, and the body wash and lotion were AWESOME! Anytime I come back to Eugene, I am definitely staying here! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Modern and clean. Tones of great amenities. Digital key, electric window shades, pool table in the lobby...and the swing chairs...I was obsessed! Staff was amazing, especially the kind woman who prepped the food. She was kind and approachable. Shared in conversations with her about the hotel, the awesome swing chairs, her time working there and more. She was so kind to my daughter (we were there for her swim meet that weekend) and she gave her candy and congratulations on her swims. TV in room had a cool feature that automatically logs you out of your accounts if you log into any of the apps. Love that! Located only an 8-minute drive from the Willamalane Swim Center making this an awesome choice! Breakfast was satisfying and included eggs, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, bagels and cream cheese, cereal and lots of other items. It was free and fulfilling. Highly recommended! read more

PROS + Lots of free hotel amenities in the common areas, such as a pool table and a gym. + Free buffet style breakfast, including eggs, breakfast meat, waffles, as well as cereals and breads. + Free 24/7 coffee and tea in the lobby. + All amenities are new and seem clean. + Located in a quiet part of the town. Franklin Blvd (in front of the hotel) takes you straight to downtown in several minutes by car. +Free and large parking lot. CONS - Noise from Franklin Blvd (see "Booking Tips" below). - Their COVID measures were pretty relaxed (other than the abundant amount of free disinfecting wipes available). - The free coffee tastes terrible. - Noisy humming fridge. Bottomline We will stay here again if the price is right. Booking Tips $ If you want a quiet room, do NOT book a room with "river view." Rooms with river view face Franklin Blvd (SR 126). You may see the Willamette River, but you would also see I-5 (Interstate 5), a potential eyesore, and it's noisy. I've seen the light, and my hotel choices for the future are pretty much Hilton or Best Western properties now. Tru is consistently good - probably because the properties are among the newest in the Hilton portfolio. Really good views of the Willamette as well from the upper floors. I'm obsessed with how comfortable their beds are. Slept like a baby! The free breakfast in the lobby is generous with a little something for everyone to include an automated pancake machine, oatmeal, eggs, bagels, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, juices, tea, and coffee. We did hear the train horn a few times in the middle of the night, so if you're a light sleeper, bring your ear plugs. Not a huge deal for us since we are used to airplanes flying over our house back home. read more

We were in room 501 for parent's weekend/marathon. They'd jacked the prices up but we figured it was close and the rooms looked nice online. The lobby seemed clean and fun but then we went upstairs. 501 is a king room. It's big enough for pretty much just a king bed but they've squeezed in a chair and desk as well just to insure that you bark your shin every time you try to climb around the bed (which is designed with a hidden lip that hangs out under the mattress...further ensuring that you'll be nice and bruised for the drive home.) I looked at the pictures online and it appears to show a wide pathway between the bed and the chair but it is either a trick of perspective or we got the smallest room in the building. The bathroom was smallish sized but the shower was tiny and if you moved around in it, it felt and sounded like you might end up in room 401. We asked if we could check out late and were told that the manager had specifically instructed that there were no late checkouts...for $375, one night, checking out on Sunday...no late check out. Not impressed. I stayed at the Graduate for last year's marathon and for the same price we had a plush living room and you walk outside to step on the shuttle. I will never stay here again. I'd rather drive down from Salem than stuff myself into this overpriced shoebox of a room again. read more

We stayed here for one night as we were passing through. The room was sealed shut by a sticker stating it had been cleaned (Covid precautions). The rooms were extremely clean and we slept wonderfully. The only downside we had was when we checked in they didn't have our reservation so now we are trying to deal with Expedia refunding that one. Also if you have a room near the freeway side we could hear the cars and trucks at night (but it didn't disrupt our sleep) Overall it is a very nice hotel and clean! read more

New hotel, fresh new towels that don't feel like cardboard yet. Had a good stay at this new Tru by Hilton hotel despite the last two days having to live through the start of the Oregon Fires. It's located rather strangely right next to a Candlewood Suites sharing a parking lot and Fairfield Inn. I had stayed at the Fairfield Inn the past 2 years, so I like this location right across the street from Willamette River. Did notice more noisy cars zipping down Franklin Blvd as I had a room facing the river & street. I heard no voices or noises from neighbors so the walls are defintely not thin. Most annoying sounds were the front doors slamming shut from others. I always made sure to pull close my door so that it did not slam shut. The rooms were flawlessly clean, no carpets so hardwood floors. No pets allowed either, only service animals. I had the top (5th) floor, so couldn't hear any noises below. Shampoo/soap/lotion are provided by dispensers. There's a serviceable mini fridge, but for reheating, you'll have to go downstairs to the 1st floor common area for 1 microwave available. The single chair provided was not that confortable and the desk(movable) was small. The keycards I could never get to work on first tap from external doors. Always required 2 to 3 tries. There's a double elevator right next to a front external door for easy entry. Parking may be problematic as I saw cars parked along the side not in spots although they give you a parking pass to place on your dash, but this lot shares the next lot over with Candlewood Suites. I would definitely stay here again. read more

we booked reservations at this location in Eugene l. got there from Michigan after leaving Seattle early to find that the Clark whom said we could do an early check in and would "leave notes for everything to go smooth" did the opposite. they had our hotel reservations marked as canceled. the event we were in town for was booked and rates were already high and hard to book for the last two months. My athlete already had 4and half hour drive and just hours away from her competition . I'm very disappointed and will not be using any hotel by Tru... I'd rather pay more elsewhere. after dealing with the Clark and her manager who seemed unsympathetic to our family. be ware of coming in town reserving this location during huge events l, you will be at risk of the same troubl. read more

Clean, simple, fantastic service. This place was perfect for our one night stop in Eugene. The staff was helpful and friendly, everyone wore masks and social distanced. There were games downstairs to play and lots of space to spread out in the lobby. The room was super clean with stickers on the door and remote signaling sanitation. The hotel is nice and clean. Has a pool and laundry on-site. What's going against it is how loud it is with the all day and night busy street traffic. If you stay here - request a room facing the parking lot. I'm an Hhonors member and stay at all kinds of Hilton properties. This was my first time at their Tru brand -- and I won't book it again. The rates are comparable to other Hilton brands, but the hotel and amenities are no where near what you get at a Hampton Inn or Residence Inn, or even Home2Suites, etc. First - the rooms are TINY. Smallest I've had in a long time. Barely room enough for the bed. No closet; everything hangs out in the open on hooks. No drawers, either. No luggage stand. I mean SMALL. Second - No in-room coffee maker, a deal breaker for me. You have to go down to the lobby for coffee. (Makes me grumpy.) Third- No in-room microwave like you'd get at any other Hilton or Choice Hotel or LaQuinta or Fairfield or you name it... So, even if you bring up several cups of coffee from the lobby, no way to warm it up once it goes cold. Fourth - Bathroom amenities are not the Neutrogena products you get at other Hiltons... instead it's some god-awful lemon squeeze bottles attached to the wall that leave you reeking, even after you wash off multiple times! Urgh! Disgusting. Fifth - The fridge sits out in the open so you can listen to its condenser all night. At other brands the fridge is usually kept stashed away in a cabinet to help lessen the noise. Here they're going for the dorm-room aesthetic, I guess. Sixth - Pool table in the lobby. Some might find this kinda cool, but come on -- a hotel? The crack of balls when it's supposed to be a quiet place to relax/sleep? Who came up with this idea? I love pool, but come on! A noisy bar, yes -- a hotel? No. Bad idea. Bad. Hot breakfast is the same as other places, nothing special or different. For the same money I can get a much larger room, amenities that don't stink/smell, places to store/hang my things, a quiet fridge, a microwave, can make a couple cups of coffee before going down to breakfast, etc. You know, the BASICS. Here they try to market the lack of all these as a feature, which is a joke. No point in booking a Tru when there's several other better Hilton brands and plenty of other competing properties that offer the basics at the same price. I stay here on Saturday, November 28th. It was a total pleasure to stay here. I received excellent service from arrival to departure. The young lady who checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating. She answered several of my questions and also assisted me in establishing an account at my request. I didn't remember her name, but shout out to her! My room was very (extra) clean due to Covid which made me a little at ease during these scary times. The furniture was modern/contemporary and with all the basic amenities you may need, except a microwave. The bed I had was King-size which fit my 6'1" frame well. The sheets and comforter were even comfortable such that it allow for a good night coupled with the fact that I was probably a little tired too. Definitely will return to this spot when I'm in Eugene, OR. read more

Highly recommend the Comfort inn in Eugene, the room was very quiet even though it is pretty close to the highway. The room was very nice, the staff was great, especially Brandy who went out of her way to help us out because we don't have cell phones and couldn't order out without one! I felt that the room, location and staff were fine but the fact that I paid 250.00 a night to stay here and I called at 7 in the morning to have extra towels and the bed made and when my husband and I returned at 330 in the afternoon it still wasn't done was ridiculous. I then had to go downstairs to get my extra towels. Also they only have ice machines on the 3rd and 1st floor. I would not stay here again. read more
