Let's start with the positives. Booked a double queen. It was clean. Decent rate. And it's right next to Oregon State police for those who feel it would add to your safe feeling. Shout out Jose- Manager training a new lady. Amazing guy. Front of hotel looks much better than the rest of it Who ever works the night shift 10/28 front desk.. probably shouldn't be in hospitality. I went down... spoke to him, he looks at me and straight ignored me. I was going to go down and get my welcome gift that you usually get when checking in but it was such a turn off.. I just left. The AC in the room reeeks of mold. I hate this with hotels because Mold actually can get you sick. ( should know this). Plus I had my baby with me. They lied to me earlier today about being sold out for tonight. Funny thing is, I worked with Hilton. I know systems are slow to update but the room I did request is still up tonight . It's 11:32pm. ( yes Guest can still check in) however it's somewhat unlikely being that we are out of tourist season in this area. Also room had no body wash. Not a hard fix but just had conditioner and a bottle of shampoo sitting on side of tub. Either way to end this review: 1. Rooms were decently clean. That's what Matters the most. 2. Last night staff I get it. Don't be fake but do realize... attitude within hospitality matters here in America lol. 3. I'm not a slow cookie. So first off, let me tell you if you're renting a room in this town for your child's or friends graduation do it at least a year in advance. All our first couple of choices were already sold out and we ended up here. Friendly and accommodating staff after the first two nights seem to have a little bar and some bites 6 to 10 in the morning and 6 to 10 at night. Nothing fancy in the rooms but I gotta say the curtains in the shower are really messed up. It's a bathtub and the way the curtain design is water gets behind the curtain no matter how you set it up and get water on your bathroom floor and yes, we faced the shower head away from the curtain. That aside the maids were very accommodating, changing out the towels every day and keeping the room clean. We have a little breakfast buffet and a little bar open several hours of the night and day, but we did not take advantage of it on this trip. Close to several restaurants and right near the freeway. One morning I came down and they were out of coffee in the lobby and they moved very quickly on getting me coffee nice place to stay. read more

The floors are so thin you can hear folks upstairs walking around. Woke at 2am to what sounded like a wrestling match. We paid over 760 for two nights Plus bathroom needs major overhaul. My Mom had called around to see where we could get a shuttle to the airport before booking. She was also told we would receive complimentary breakfast, that was not true either.She was told and it's also on the website that they offer a shuttle. Even when you scan their QR code inside the room it's part of hotel services. We were told by the man at the front desk that they are the only ones that don't offer a shuttle, only to people who work for the airlines. Our Keurig didn't work either. False advertising is frowned upon Hilton family, do better. read more

We drove over an hour from PDX to Eugene for a college graduation and arrived early before check-in time to hopefully be able to change our clothes, freshen up and have them store our luggage while we attended the graduation - the front desk was kind and helpful, allowing us to do just that! When we returned it was a bit after 12pm and luckily, the front desk manager said they had a room that was ready for us to check-in to! After gathering our luggage, we went up to our room - soon as we opened the doors I felt the cool AC and the smell of a clean room. What a welcome! Very nice hotel. My go to is usually Hampton Inn. This was a good surprise. Clean, nice sheets, comfortable bed and safe. Staff was very pleasant and helpful to all who come in. We chose a king suit and our room was impressively large, with ample space in both rooms. The extra 1/4 bathroom in the main room was very nice. The huge bathroom in the bedroom made it feel like we were home. First hotel I've been to where we had enough bath towels (great job) and didn't have to request additional towels. What made it extra special was having Jesse as our housekeeper. She made our room not just clean, but extra special due to her art of folding towels. So cute, and added to that the little drawing she added personalized our stay. read more

With 17 check ins and duke of this property on Yelp, up until today this hotel has been my primary place to stay in the Eugene Springfield area. I stayed here last week for 1 night and a few days later noticed an extra charge of $28.38 on my credit card that was not part of my lodging. The charge was dated a day after I had checked out. With both the bar and restaurant closed due to covid 19, I called this hotel to inquire what the additional charge was for and was informed that the Keurig coffee maker was missing from my room and they charged me for it! I am livid! As a lifetime Hilton Honors Diamond member, I have stayed over 1500 nights in Hilton properties in the last 20 years and have never been accused of stealing! I reported this incident to Hilton corporate as this manager should question their own housekeeping staff who claimed the coffee maker was missing! A warning from my poor experience is to stay clear of this poorly managed property that falsely accuses their guests of theft! In the future I will stay at the Marriott Courtyard across the street. Such a wonderful week long stay at the Holiday Inn Express. Many of the hotels are actually on the same lot as one another. So one side you have the Marriott Courtyard, in front you have Comfort Inn. Really nice. Many of eateries are near one another, and within walking distance. The hotel provides toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving foam, razor and a comb if you forgot those. They have a gym, washing machines, ice machines and a indoor pool. The staff are so friendly and nice. They also have a mini store where you can get medicine, food, charger cords and other stuff. Very clean and sanitary, and can't stop mentioning how nice everyone is. The complimentary breakfast is amazing, plentiful, and has a made to order pancake machine. Love it!!! I really love this hotel and so does my family. Can't wait to come back. read more

We are here for the night on our way to Seattle. Front Desk lady was awesome. The food menu was not like their website menu, so we ordered from Uber Eats instead. Red Robin was yum. Room was kind of clean. The bathroom had hair on the floor, yuck. I have short hair, it was about 6" long snd more. While sitting on the bed, watching TV, just sitting, headboard makes popping noises, annoying. I turned around, headboard is sooooo dusty. Ugghh. I Could run my finger thru the dust. Great hotel, clean and easy check in process. We were walked in on, in our suite around 10am on our check out day but it wasn't an issue. Made to order breakfast was unavailable even at 10:45 'to go' as the kitchen was closing soon, so get there sooner if you want any kind of hot breakfast. Our first stay at the new-ish (year old) HGI in Springfield makes it our favorite lodging in the Eugene area. Good combination of great service, convenient location, comfortable rooms, amenities on property and competitive rates. For total experience, we think this HGI is as good as Inn at the 5th . Two very different properties for sure; the latter a boutique hotel and this one part of a national brand. But comparable for guest enjoyment for overnight and we saved over $80 by making HGI our choice this time. Five star rating here is as compared to other hotels in the Eugene area where we've stayed and also to other HGI properties where we've stayed nationally. In out of order reference, details follow for the summary above: LOCATION Right off the freeway and convenient to nearly anything in Eugene, all just minutes by car. Close to the area's great parks, shopping in the Oakway Center, just a few minutes drive from good Eugene restaurants (such as Red Agave, Marche, Belly, Rye, Sweet Life), the 5th Street Market and UO campus. SERVICE From check in to check out, service was top notch even though the hotel was near capacity which always puts extra stress on a staff.. Sales staff and management went out of their way to greet guests during the evening reception and seemed to make everyone feel as if they were truly glad HGI was our choice for lodging. That the hotel enjoys a strong occupancy rate is probably due in part to this kind of service. ROOM We made reservations the day before a mid week trip and found the HGI was booked nearly full (see This N That below). Only a handful of rooms, all double queens and all on the freeway side, were available. In a perfect world, I'd say ask for a King room on the odd numbered, non freeway, side. But given our fifth floor (of five) location, the freeway noise for our even numbered room was not much noticeable at night. A big advantage of the hotel overall was the sound proofing between rooms is good and we didn't hear our neighbors. Bathrooms are ample sized and functional if not spacious. We had a shower over tub bath but I understand they have shower only rooms and given that is our preference when possible, I pass the info along for others who prefer the same. Beds are the standard HGI sleep number adjustable (on a dial of one to six from soft to firm). Room was spacious enough. Everything was sparkling clean. Color palate is what I call "curry colors" of curry leaf green, curry powder orange, and tumeric yellow. In room fridge and coffee maker. AMENITIES The lobby has a plethora of seating at tables and chairs. A fireplace greets you in the entry and as Eugene has more than its share of gloomy days that is a nice touch. Lobby and breakfast room seating area look out through large windows. A bar is right off the lobby. Free coffee available from roughly 5a to 11p. Fresh cookies in late afternoon / early evening. Exercise room was spacious and bright with free weights and four or five pieces of cardio equipment. Nice sized indoor pool looked most usable, although we didn't take use it. Free ample parking in a large lot. Free fast wi-fi BREAKFAST HGI does not provide free breakfast. We much prefer this "pay if you use it" set up. Breakfast available for a flat fee ($10.95?) is a combination of cold breakfast buffet (yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, etc.) combined with cook to order hot items. We've never tried the HGI breakfast, but we received two complimentary passes for same on this visit. I was delighted to find good fresh fruit, including blackberries and melons, in the mix to go with a perfectly poached egg to my request (hard as a golf ball) and toast. People around us seemed to be enjoy their bacon, omelette's and pancakes. Not gourmet fare but certainly better than the free breakfast stuff offered elsewhere. THIS N THAT 1) OLYMPIC TRIALS MAKE ROOMS HARD TO COME BY UP THROUGH EARLY JULY: Olympic Trials in Eugene have this hotel and many others booked to near capacity through about July 4. If you're planning to visit in that time frame, reserve early to avoid being shut out. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Several spots of accessible parking near the entry. Level in and public spaces seem to be nicely accessible with one major error. Seems they did not include a run of standard height seating at the bar which is required by Oregon State building code (Chapter 11 - Accessibility) for sure. read more

Hilton is a big name; should have a big heart as well. Right ? What does a tired traveler in a scorching summer would ask for more than anything ? A bottle of water !! And there's no water in your rooms ? And when asked you directed me to the vending machine ? Wouldn't it be better hospitality to provide complimentary water bottles for the guests in the room ? Costco water bottles retail for 10 cents. If that's too operations heavy just charge those 10 cents to your customer. Other than that the rooms were clean and hotel smelled nice. EXCELLENT! I called last minute to arrange for a room for my disabled father in law who was evacuating from a fire in Northern CA with requirements for a first floor as well as assistance for him with his bags. They got him a king size bed room right near the entrance so he wouldn't have to walk far and went above and beyond by helping him with his suitcases. THAT is hospitality! read more

There is really nothing about this hotel I would recommend except it has. A decent pool and work our area. It is noisy. Could hear people in room next to us like they were in with us. Traffic noise is horrendous. Pillows are extremely small. Bed is not comfortable! Heater squeals when it occasionally runs-cold rooms even when the heater turned up. Heater covered in dirt, dust, hair and filth. Floors dirty Light switch dirty Sticky food on desk Remote was covered in filth-the silver top was literally black. Bugs in room Ottoman has several holes in it. Hilton Garden In used to be nice but not impressed with this one! read more

Not Hilton quality. Service failure started prior to arrival. On the Hilton app I received a message from the hotel asking if I needed anything? So I asked a question. Over 24 hours with no response. See picture. Arrived at almost midnight. Front doors were locked and the electronic key doesn't work after a certain time of day.... So, gives the impression of an unsafe neighborhood (there does seem to be an issue with homelessness in the area). No water in the room. My pre-arrival question btw was if the shuttle would still be running after 10 pm when I flew in. Answer: despite the airport shuttle being part of the amenities they advertise, there is no shuttle. I'm a diamond member (for life). Breakfast should be free, but I ordered Diet Coke not coffee so was charged $3. Room was fine. Significant gap under room door which allows all the noise from the hallway in. Any of these items would not be huge, but add them up and it's obvious this hotel is not hospitality minded. Details matter. Not many options in the area. One last funny thing.... I couldn't get salt out of the salt shaker even though it was full. The staff laughed and said they were pretty but didn't work as the grains of salt are too large to come out the holes. They actually are aware of the issue, yet fail to address it. Such a small thing but seems to be their frame of mind. Late flights out and they did allow a late check out. Much appreciated. This hotel is a crap shoot. If it were not a Hilton brand hotel I would give 3 stars. read more

We stayed here for one night. Excellent access right off of the freeway, close to a lot of different restaurant and stores like Target. The check in process was very simple and all done through their app. Our key was even on the all although we did get some standard computerized keys as well. The pool is fairly small but it was clean and our kids still had fun. The room itself was very clean and that is something I'm very picky about. They do boast about the sleep number beds but we could not figure them out so the bed was really hard and uncomfortable. That could have been user error though. The temperature in the room was hard to adjust and keep at a consistent temp so the room was either too cold or stuffy so that made for a restless nights sleep. Other than that, it was nice and we would totally stay here again if we are in the area. read more

Was in Eugene for business. Hilton Garden Inn is one of my company's 'preferred hotels', which is great. Check Inn was easy and my room was spotlessly clean. When I first arrived you could hear some mumbling through the ceiling, but it wasn't very loud and stopped before it got too late. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfy. They have some sort of dial you can turn on the bed to adjust it to your comfort level. I didn't actually try this, but I've never seen it before now. Something of note: the makeup remover wipe has a ton of parabens in it. I would avoid that thing. Also, they had a hairdryer and a Keurig in the room. Breakfast was great! They had made to order omelets and I was running late so they gave it to me in a to-go box with house potatoes. They also had fruit, pastries, and other typical hotel breakfast items. I left my charger in the room and realized this shortly after leaving, so I called and asked if they could hold it for me until the afternoon when I would pick it up. Not only that, but they also returned my 'Vancouver Rock' (see Facebook) not knowing I had left it there on purpose. That was kinda an awkward conversation, but I ended up leaving it with the girl at the front desk. read more

I am not sure where the tract is but the train sounds loud. You can't close the bathroom door if you are sitting down so be sure to close the door before you sit. EUGENE AREA NEAR UNIV. OF OREGON Excellent place to stay when going to athletic events at the University of Oregon. We stayed here Fri and Sat nights, 5 & 6 Oct 2014. Service and room were superior. My wife and I especially want to compliment ANGELA R who was tending bar and handling dinner orders. Food and beverage quite satisfactory, which means you can stay off the road and drink and dine. EZ access to Autzen Stadium. Again, Angela R is a fine employee, and Hilton Garden Inn is lucky to have her representing them. P.S. We had the last room available ... large w/ a spa which we didn't need, but who cares. Regular shower was also available. Not very impressed with this place. The showers reminded me of a public swimming pool. The tile looks like concrete blocks and the glass door is dirty and covered in water spots. Another thing that grossed me out was the towels were actually in the shower. That's disgusting not only because the cleaning people have to walk into the shower and replace the towels (and obviously it's not being cleaned properly, evident due to mold and water spots everywhere) but also because the towels are getting wet and musty every time someone showers. In addition, the bathroom and other surfaces were dusty and instead of replacing the empty tissue box it was obvious that the cleaning person just stuffed a handful of tissues in the box. One other thing that is silly but minor, the ottoman and the chair in the room were obviously from two different decades. read more

Stayed here for work in the area. They take CLC and are very friendly. Decent breakfast buffet at 10$ and nice staff. Rooms we're nice clean and had good amenities. Desk, chairs, good bed, plugs everywhere (you know you like that shit when you travel for work) wifi was fine for me watched movies and music fine. Not the best Hilton due to pool and gym size, but has free weights to 50lb and a bench. I'd say best for you Buck around these parts read more

HGI is doing well at representing both the casual and business traveler. This newer location has a great comfy lobby & bar area that I found welcoming. My room was super clean and the bed was comfy. Coffee in the lobby is great & the cookies are a treat. I was impressed with the lobby decor and the bar area, it's obvious that HGI is striving to be the leader in their market. It looks promising! I asked for a room on the top floor (which is the 5th) and was given a room on the 4th floor. The 5th floor may be all suites, I don't know because they didn't tell me why I wasn't given a room on that floor. The location right off the freeway is convenient, and there are lots of restaurants and Gateway Mall right up the street. read more
