Came here during the holiday season with a friend after work. Please was super crowded and a reservation was required to get a seat, otherwise you're stuck on a long waitlist. This spot I'd say is great for drinks, but food wise, the owners need to reevaluate on that front. Haloumi Fries ($21) - I don't know what to make of this. It needs a dipping sauce to accompany it to help make it taste better, whether that's ketchup, spicy mayo, etc. Calamari ($24) - Definitely not fresh. Tastes like it came straight out of the freezer and then dumped into a fryer. Beer Braised Short Ribs ($45) - I don't think they slow cooked this enough as the meat was still chewy and the meat does not fall apart. Had to cut this is a knife and that was also a bit tough. Cajun Pizza ($23) - This one I enjoyed the most. Loved the unique topping to make it cajun style. Cheeseburger Egg Roll ($18) - This dish has potential if they did not over fried this to a crisp. Churros ($13) - Can't really mess this up (or I'd hope you don't). Great way to end a meal. In reality, 4 stars if I came here just to get drinks. 1 star if I came here for dinner as the food was not up to par.

This was my first time at the Elgin in nyc and it was amazing! Every single thing we got was good, the staff was great, and they have a little something for everyone (ex: tuna nachos vs pigs in a blanket) If you go, get the cookie skillet you won't regret it!! The salt and vinegar fries btw- one of the BEST things I've had in a long time It's pretty rare when you can take your entire family somewhere and everyone loves what they ate, so this place is a new favorite of mine when I come into the city going forward.

Busy pub with upscale bar food in midtown. Reservations available. Butternut squash soup: 3 out of 5 stars - i like a little more sweetness French onion soup burger: 4 stars out of 5 - an above average burger that did not taste like French onion soup Good beer selection and extensive whiskey list.

I love when I go to a spot and want to order everything in the appetizer menu because I love to snack on multiple things. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We actually came here during the superbowl not knowing that they would have the game on but they did and being our last night in the city we got to enjoy tasty bites and drinks and watch the game with the sound on in a not super crazy or crowded bar - perfect night![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since it was the super bowl I had to go for the pigs in a blanket and they were super good! We also got the cheeseburger egg rolls, I will say they are super pickle flavored which I typically don't love, and we also got the steamed bao buns that had duck confit. I wish I knew our servers name because she was so kind and helpful with drinks and everything throughout our time there since we were there for awhile. I would definitely come back here the next time I come to the city!

This is my regular go to bar located right in the heart of midtown Manhattan on 48 th street next to Rockefeller .They have a great variety of draft & bottled beers to choose from. I love their truffle cheese fries . Their other bar bites are also great to taste. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place gets madly crowded post office hours from 5 to 8 after which there's decent room and tables available[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].My only wish is that they had a good happy house offering , I do hope they introduce a happy hour menu in the future!

A great place to go only 2 blocks from Radio city music hall. Service was good. Food was good. Walking through the beautiful old school looking authentic nyc bar it felt overly warm on a hot August eve but our table had air conditioning. It was just a little bit tight seating and a bit loud. But hey, it's NYC! My companion had the Elgin burger (yummy fries with dip) and I had the summer salad with grilled chicken.

French onion soup burger best burger I've ever had PERIOD! I loved it so much I came back the next day and had it again!! Everyone else in my party's food looked good but the world went away when I tasted that thing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is lovely we sat upstairs overlooking the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great affordable spot in mid town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Overall it was a nice meal! The cheeseburger egg roll was my absolute favorite followed by the duck bao buns ! The tuna nachos were also decent. Pasta was a little bit too al dente but I took the rest to go and it was actually delicious the next day! As far as the French onion burger, it was decent as well. Our waitress was superb and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the bar itself has a nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely come back again!

The Elgin burger with bacon added hands down better then the onion soup burger ...the onion soup burger was more bland lacked seasoning very boring like the soup so if you like that cool but the Elgin definitely hits.. but the place is the best staff was great

My wife and I stopped at the Elgin in NYC for a bite to eat before we went to a concert at Radio Music City Hall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very crowded thankfully we were able to be seated right away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was decent but it did appear they didn't have enough waiters or waitresses. Food was very good. Appears to be a good spot for drinks and apps. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A bit on the noisy side but it was fine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
