    Beautiful time

Score would have been higher but the server was not the brightest even after instructing her what we needed. Other than that the place was beautiful and I would love to come back here again. Gorgeous atmosphere that should be experienced at least once. Prost!

What a lovely spot to enjoy a cocktail before a show while waiting in the theatre district. The views are incredible and the ambiance is one that reminds you of the 60s and 70s but in the best way. The revolving restaurant and bar is one of a kind and made for a very special start to an evening out on the town. Service was friendly and attentive and we didn't feel rushed at all. Highly recommend!

I stopped in for a drink before a show. You have to have a staff member escort you to The View on the 48th floor. The views are spectacular and the tables rotate on the outer perimeter. I sat at the bar and had a drink. Great service and even better cocktail.

When I came last month I knew I wanted to return for my 50th birthday. I had the Trofie pasta again which was still amazing. My husband ordered the swordfish, and we started with the Jumbo Lump Blue Crab Cake. Crab cake and trofie were consistent and as delicious as they were previously. He loved the swordfish. I kept 1 star this time for a side we'd ordered never arrived. Server didn't notice until we said it, and a song requested by the pianist was never played, before he left and presumably went home. Another player then appeared. Overall I had a great 50th birthday, received well wishes from everyone, can't wait to come back!!!

It was amazing!! The views from sunset into evening were beautifully New York. There are 2 areas... one for drinks and light appetizers or tapas and one for a full dinner. Make sure you are making reservations for the experience you desire because they are different bookings. We did drinks then went to dinner and it was seemless. My only complaint is that the drink menu is not consistent between the bars. The drink I fell in love with at the upper View area was not on the menu for dinner... our server understood and made it happen for us which made the experience even better! Definitely a must do if you are at the Marriott

Since the View re-opened I have wanted to give it a shot and with my husband's birthday coming up, I figured it was the perfect spot for a special dinner and it was even better than expected. You're greeted warmly at the host stand on the 3rd floor and escorted to the elevator where you're whisked to the 48th floor. We were greeted by the hosts in the restaurant and quickly escorted to our table which had a cool view of the W Hotel to start. Service was great across the board. Our server was professional, courteous and did a great job recognizing the birthday celebration. We started with a cocktail for me (Marquee Old Fashioned- outstanding) and a mocktail for Alp. We were served some delicious focaccia and then we received our appetizers of crispy fried artichokes and shrimp cocktail. The artichokes were a tad overdone but they were still light, crispy and delicious. We loved the shrimp. I had the ribeye with a side of fries and Alp had filet with mashed potatoes. My steak was delicious....tender and flavorful and the fries were great. Alp loved the filet and the potatoes. We did our best not to eat all of our steaks because we wanted to save room for the decadent chocolate cake we'd seen. That cake was outstanding and came with a caramel sauce that was good but it would have been just as delicious without it. We also ordered a Whipped And Swirled, which was like a boozy Magnolia Bakery banana pudding. That could have been its own dessert! Oh, and I haven't mentioned the namesake view! I absolutely loved the 360 degree view as we eat. It was really neat to view the skyline from so many perspectives (although when you're facing the New Jersey side, there's not much to see because there's a big piece of the building blocking the view for about 10 minutes, but honestly, are you going to miss seeing Weehawken???) We were there for about an hour and 45 minutes and almost made it back to where we started. I really enjoyed this and thought it was a perfect spot for a special dinner. It ain't cheap (with tip, our dinner was over $400) but if you deserve a special treat, this is a great place.

First and foremost the location in the evening is absolutely stunning. The rotating view is amazing and gives a really nice ambiance to your meal. We visited for dinner with a party of nine and reserved ahead online. It was convenient considering we were all staying in the Marriott Marquis where this is located. The Caesar Salad, Prime Rib, and Mashed Potatoes are were all good. A few opportunities to note for this place. First is the service. Attentiveness here from our server was not as great as it should be. The hosts were nice but after we were sat down, the server left much to be desired. Our server was rather short in attitude following their introduction to our table. Drinks took maybe 25 minutes to come to our table and we ordered food 45 minutes after being sat down. Every interaction felt like an eternity in between. Understandably the restaurant can be busy but I didn't feel this was the case to warrant such a few and far between check in from our server. In addition our food wasn't cooked as ordered. My medium rare steak was more in the medium/well done side and my wife's medium steak was well done. I hadn't the opportunity to bring this to my servers attention as the visits to the table were rather limited and wasn't willing to wait for it to be remade. I don't remember the name of our server as I can't recall it being given to us. Nevertheless the experience was good but for what you are paying, it should be exceptional. You have MANY options in the city for fine dining. I'd give it a chance again but would hope the server was having an off night.

First time at The View and had a great experience. We had the Prime Rib, Lamb Chops and Picanha (yes, a lot of meat!) for our entrees and not a miss - they were all excellent. The Brussels Sprouts and Fries for sides were also very good. The Chocolate Cake and Panna Cotta provided a nice finish to the meal. The revolving restaurant and festive decor added to the experience as did our server Lea who was very helpful and friendly.

Everyone should try a revolving restaurant sometime and this one is a good place to start. The view is excellent. It is basically a steakhouse in the sky. We started with the tuna carpaccio and, not to slight the entrees, it was the highlight. Fresh raw tuna pounded thin with a fruity olive oil, capers, a few slices of onion for texture-really excellent. I had the double cut lamb chops, medium rare, and they were both beautiful and tasty. The portion was very satisfying even for a very hungry person like myself. My companion had the picanha steak and gave me a few bites - it was well seasoned, properly cooked medium rare and wonderfully beefy. The service was friendly and timely. Of course the atmosphere is the main thing and it does not disappoint. Pro tip - the sides are not huge like I'm used to at steakhouses, where they are certainly to share. Here, the sides, though pricy, are sized for one. We shared the mashed potatoes and they were excellent but had I known the portion size, I would have ordered another side. For a gimmicky restaurant, the food and service are on point. As a New Yorker I can say it is worth a visit even if you live here.

This restaurant had immaculate vibes and live music. The service was very good and I loved the dim lighting and the night time view of the city!

What a wonderful dinner we had last night at The View! The actual view is fantastic. Hospitality a 10/10. Asli was a sweetheart, so friendly and warm. The food...delicious. I enjoyed the pasta with mushroom ragu. The banana oat sundae was perfection. I think this will be our new spot before we go see a show again!

Checked out the new renovation. It took 1.5 hour for a full rotation, beautiful sunset time. Love the Katz's Martini, I would come back (through Time Square) for this. Service was attentive!

We came for pre theater drinks and snacks. Walking into The View is stepping into a spectacle: you're up in the sky, 47-48 floors above Times Square, with the city rotating slowly around you. If you came for the views, you've picked the right spot. The whole place is built around that panoramic energy -- shimmering city lights, skyscrapers, and a sense of occasion. What Works Ambiance & Visuals The rotating dining room is the star. The movement is slow enough that you can soak in the skyline without feeling like you're on a ride. The lounge floor is especially nice if you want the view and a drink without committing to a full dinner. Mirrors, mood lighting, elegant design touches, live piano -- it's built for moments. That night as we were drinking we notice a commotion, and quickly realized there as going to be a a mixology demonstration. A Renowned mixologist from Milan was flown to tach the staff on the new cocktails, and we were so lucky to be in front of greatness. We got to taste all the cocktails, one was better than the other. We almost late to out broadway show

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations.
